I'll start off by saying I'm biased. I'm from Atlanta where there are NO Ledo's. I come to MD/D.C. every year and one of the first places I have to go is to Ledo's. My cousin lives right around the corner from this location so this is always the default stop. As for the pizza, I love it. It's not your typical pizza but I think that's what makes me love it. The buttery light crust, provolone cheese, and delicious sauce all make up a great food experience for me every time I taste it. Service here is typical as your server brings your pizza and drinks to you and handles refills. The last time I was here, the server recognized us from two days earlier and brought our drinks out without us telling her. Nice touch! I was surprised by the other reviews but like I said, I'm biased. My obsession with Ledo's pizza probably makes me overlook any shortcomings this location has.

I've been to this location twice and the pizza is okay--I'm bias because I'm a Brooklyn native and I know pizza, real pizza. It would be real hard to wow me but it isn't terrible. The crust is thin but they kinda od'd on the tomato sauce. I ordered the Ledo style Margherita pizza for my bf (he really liked it) and I. I've only had that kind of pizza--as a matter of fact, I've never tried their other menu items. He tried asking for Ledo sauce but they tossed it out (they were closing). The employee also said that it's an additional .50 cents. Now, I don't know if this is the case with the other Ledo franchises but this one seems to charge for everything, including ice (.35 cents). The service is blah (nothing really friendly about the staff)--the first time my bf and I came in, the manager (I think) was trying to push a pepperoni pizza on us but my bf doesn't eat pork. Perhaps they made the wrong pizza and now they wanted someone else to buy it--they tried selling it to several customers (I don't think anyone bought it). I'd come here if you are in a pinch and need to get some food. I will say that it is better than pizza hut.

I normally got to Ledos in Richmond, so. I thought this one would be the same. I don't know if they follow the same guidelines, but this one was awful. It was super busy, and although the guy working the counter was very nice, and polite to me.. The food ruined it. I ordered wings (something. I've never had before from them) and they tasted awful... No seasoning.. Just chicken thrown in grease. I was so disapointed ... And I also ordered a ceasar salad. They basically gave me lettuce with a sprinkle of Parmesan on it .. No taste to it.. No love put into making it. It was the blandest ceasar Ive ever had. Based on the line of people there and what I know about Ledos.. I suspect I just chose the wrong thing.. Because I know their pizza is normally good.. So I wont judge them based off this chicken because they are a pizza place.. So next time I go back to what I know!

If you want to end up running to the bathroom then go ahead and eat here. Shortly after class one day at PGCC me and two other friends decided to go to lunch at ledos. The service was ok not horrific. We all ordered a chicken Caesar salad and had some wings to share. The wings were pretty good salad average. We had our food and we were ready to go home. When I say 10 minutes after we left we all started looking at each other like something was wrong , stomachs all bubbling, all trying to find the nearest restroom but there weren't any because we were on the train. We were all on the train praying and shaking hoping that we'd make it home before anything slipped out. After sweating and panting a little I finally made it home. My stomach took a few days to recover . BEWARE!

This place is poorly ran. I ordered a pizza and went to pick it up. They mistakenly gave it to someone else. He returned after he noticed he had the wrong pizza. They tried to give me the pizza he returned. I left, and will not be returning. That is just wrong and nasty. Who knows what that guy did with the pizza

If you want to see how to run a business straight into the ground, this is the PERFECT place to go. From a managerial level, customer service is non-existent. The staff is more pleasant and welcoming than the management. Upon my arrival, instead of the shift manager (aka Mary, it's probably her alias, older female w/pixie cut) recognizing my presence, she rudely interjects in a conversation that she wasn't a party of and then attempts to speak forcefully. Now, before I could set things straight, she literally runs to the back as if she was on flames. Dumbfounded and disgusted, I never completed my order. I'd advise going into the city before wasting a cent here. It was only a matter of convenience that led me in, but I'd rather be inconvenienced and travel to spend my $ at a restaurant where the standards are high and the quality of food and customer service are synonymous. Matchbox Pizza, here I come!! I'm certain that aka "Mary" will run herself right out of a job! This store doesn't do the Ledo's brand any justice.

My family and I were looking forward to getting a white pizza with a few extra ingredients from Ledos. This was mainly due to the great tasting pizza we experienced from the Ledos on Rte 3 in MD and the one in Silver Springs. I regret I didn't read the comments on Yelp before choosing this location. I ordered an 18" pizza and a small meat lovers pizza. I will try to post photos but the customer service was the absolute worst and the pizza was almost as bad. As soon as we walked into the place there was one customer waiting for pickup and about four or five ladies/employees sitting at a booth in the dining area. One stood up and yelled "If you're dining in, take a seat!" She yelled this to everyone that entered. Ignored her.... When I received the pizza's, I could actually count the amount if toppings on the pizza. They gave a good portion of tomatoes (even a top inedible slice) but everything else you had to pull out a magnifying glass on. Ridiculous!!! I asked for some ranch dressing and the guy said the little container was going to cost .89 cents. The other places have it to me for free. You would think since they were already saving money by skimping on the ingredients, I would be able to get more than one serving of ranch dressing. IT WAS AN 18" PIZZA FOR GOODNESS SAKE! They should change the name of the meat lovers pizza to "A Hint of Meat" pizza. The only reason they received 2 stars was because they finally gave me one free ranch dressing and although the pizzas were "light", they tasted ok after we fixed them up. If you want a good Ledo's pizza...stay away from this one!

No good. Ledos has great pizza but this location is not up to par with the brand name. When I order a small pizza the crust is so thin the sauce soaks through the crust and wets the box. When I commented on the need for more crust the cashier reminded me that Ledos is thin crust pizza. I'll take my business elsewhere, to a Ledos location that makes pizza with a decent crust, sauce, cheese ratio.

Ledo's is one of the best pizza restaurants in the DMV region. The pizza is great and their wings are delicious! However, this is the worst location that I've experienced. The customer service and management is terrible. If you are new to Ledo's, please steer away from this location; as it will negatively impact your experience.

My boyfriend and I were looking forward to trying Ledo Pizza. We heard from coworkers that Ledos is a Maryland favorite. We were impressed by the seemingly high-quality menu items, and were pleasantly surprised to discover the "Viva La Vegan"--a vegan pizza option. We thought that we gave up vegan options by moving from DC to the suburbs! However, it was all a ruse. We picked-up our order and brought it home, only to realize that someone put non-vegan cheese on the pizza. Ugggh! That's a BAD mistake. My boyfriend assumed that it was a soy cheese at first. He ate a few slices, but soon stopped when his belly began to ache. He could get really sick!! Needless to say, we'll be making pizza at home from now on.

This place has the best pizza. I usually don't eat thin crust pizza but from here it's amazing. The pizza is always hot and fresh and the service is fast and friendly. Since I love close by I usually eat here once a week and its always been great.

I am trying to watch my weight and eat healthy, so I only order pizza very sparingly. It's sort of an event since I don't get it very often. I've heard about Ledo pizza, how it's a DC institution, how it's so great, and so on, so I decided to give it a shot. Ugh. How did this pizza ever become so famous? It's disgusting. Pizza's a pretty personal thing, with everyone liking a different style, but Ledo's is bad. The pizzas are very sweet, and the crust is soggy in the center and cracker-like on the edges. I can appreciate a well done thin crust pizza, but Ledo's honestly tastes like a reject from the grocery store's freezer aisle. Finally - square cut pizza? What's the point? It's hugely messy to eat any of the center pieces because you don't have any crust to grab onto (not that it matters, since the pizza's so greasy that the crust is soaked all the way through). As far as this individual restaurant goes, service wasn't bad, but wasn't great either. I called ahead to place my order and the pizza was ready for pickup when I got there. But you could tell that the staff wasn't terribly motivated - a few of them standing around up front while a bunch of customers waited. The girl who rang me up seemed like she would rather be texting on her phone instead of helping customers. However, I was in and out of there in a jiffy and my pizza was hot and ready. Dunno, but I won't be back. Wish I hadn't wasted my cheat day pizza on Ledo's. There's plenty of other good to great pizza places that I'd rather eat when I am in the mood for pizza; even Pizza Hut/Dominos is better than this.

I call ahead because the last time my salad took about fifteen minutes while I waited uncomfortably in one of the five chairs that are placed too close together for adults to sit in. The lettuce was fresh though the chicken left much to be desired, I hadn't remembered it as being mechanically separated. This time the greens where fresh and crisp though the Italian Salad apparently comes with one slice of salami, one slice of peperoni and one slice cheese. So a bit disappointing and the service was ... I don't want to say rude but they were short with customers and gave me glaring looks for not tipping them. Besides I used my gas and energy to get there, they didn't do much to earn a tip other than try to be a bit more appreciative that people are still willing to pay for your services. Also, they need to smile more.

Very Upsetting Experience. I went to Ledo's with a wonderful attitude, excited to spend a gift card that I won from corporate headquarters on Twitter. When the staff tried to swipe my card I assume the magnetic strip was not reading it. Another staff member came to assist and placed the card in a plastic bag and continuously tried to swipe the card. After that did not work the manager came out and tried to swipe the card on another machine. As I waited and my pizza continued to get cold I asked could they simply enter the number on the back of the gift card. The manager told me that it did not work. I told him that no one tried. He did not seem interested. I proceeded to take out my credit card, but decided to call the number on the back. After calling the number the automated system informed me it was indeed $50 on the card. VERY FRUSTRATING experience & the manager was the MOST rude from all of the staff. I was very disappointed particularly because I frequent this Ledos. Sad case when customer service is NOT up to par... it ruins the entire experience. I plan on writing to headquarters as well. Perhaps training on using the gift cards is needed.

I visited Ledo's on Thursday, November 12th. The pizza deserves a 3 star rating but the the staff is so rude and dismissive that I have to give it 2 stars. I am acknowledged promptly upon my arrival at the counter, but I am soon abandoned. After I try to make it clear to the cashier that I am ready to order, she continues to ignore me for several minutes. Some girl finally takes pity on me and takes my order. While I wait for my food, I observe the manager /owner speak to a young African American male customer dismissively and rudely. The young man had questions regarding the cost of the pizza and gratuity. The cashier, ignoring all rules of decorum, stated loudly: "He doesn't want to pay the tip!!!!"" The manager summarily redirects the young man back to his dining seat without even bothering to address his concerns. I observed another exchange between the staff and a customer where the customer wanted to exchange salad dressing and the cashier kept insisting it would cost extra. "Why?" the befuddled customer wondered. Why indeed. Granted, options are limited in that neck of the woods. But still, we deserve better.

Love their pizza! I come here for carry out pizza only. I always call ahead and within 15 minutes my pizza is ready. This has been "my Ledo's" since it opened many years ago and I've found the quality to be consistently on point. They put a lot of sauce on the pizzas at this location - which I LOVE - but the NOVA locations are a lot drier. So while I can't comment on the rest of the menu, I love the pizza here and it is regular stop on my visits home to the "DMV".

Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.
Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.
Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Whether you prefer thin or thick crust pizza, you can find a pizza of your preference at the best pizza restaurants in your city.
