Pizza
Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.
Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.
Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Whether you prefer thin or thick crust pizza, you can find a pizza of your preference at the best pizza restaurants in your city.
Italian Cuisine
The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.
Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.
If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.

I like to order delivery from here as I live very close and it arrives quick! I'm a fan of the lasagna.....so good! Kind of on the fence as to the fact they require you to order a salad with any entree? Salad is very good....but adds $4 to order total compared to another very good Italian restaurant less than a mile away. Would love the option to choose whether or not I'd like a salad. Garlic bread is very good most of the time ( have had it too well done a couple of times) so I request it not to be be burnt and it arrives each time just fine

I just took my kids there and was very pleased. I ordered a pizza for the 3 of us and my daughter, who is a Pizza Expert if you ask her, loved it. Everything is made fresh and it was spectacular. The Tiramisu is by far the best I ever had. On my next trip, I'll be sure to try a pasta dish, with a nice wine.

I went there cause they were around the corner very convenient ... The waitress talk me into getting a deep dish pizza. It was nothing but a clump of dough. It and no taste I was very disappointed. I would've rather went to Little Cesar's or gotten a frozen pizza... But it was very clean so I gave them a star for that

This little restaurant/pizzeria has a real chef. My friend and I often eat there after church. The pizza is very good (I've only ordered slices in the restaurant). The eggplant caprisi (appetizer) can easily be a small meal - it is out of this world. Their eggplant parmesan is also very good. My husband likes the spaghetti and meat sauce. Their salads are good. The chef is very talented. The staff is friendly. It is a nice local place. I go there often.

Great Italian food & pizza without emptying your bank account!!! New Italian Restaurant in Joppa / Joppatowne. It was such a nice afternoon out that Sheri and I decided to go for a walk around Rumsey Island. During our walk we noticed a brand new restaurant with their Grand Opening sign up and our walk got cut short by the ever changing Maryland weather. It was starting to rain a little heavier on our way back to our car, so I asked Sheri if she would like to try a slice of pizza here. This place opened about mid to late November. Upon entering the first thing you notice is the bright and inviting dining area, then the sole hostess/waitress asked if we were dining-in or ordering takeout. It was raining out and we were walking so naturally my wife said we would stay. The dining area is huge (my pictures are from my point of view in the middle). Our waitress told us they serve Coke and Yes Happy Days, they have Coke Zero, awesome. What is even better is that a Sodas cost $1.50 with free refills. Santini's has a pretty wide offering of Italian dishes on the menu, with the majority of them priced under $10. They advertise that they make their own pizza and pasta sauce. We came for pizza slices and noticed that they have a nice selection of toppings divided into Regular and Gourmet headings. Cheese pizza slices cost $1.99, add 50 cents for a Regular topping and $1 for a Gourmet topping. Sheri ordered a slice of Cheese with Black Olives and I ordered a slice of gourmet pizza - Grilled Portabello Mushroom pizza. When our waitress returned with our food we noticed that Sheri's olive pizza was with black olives, but instead it had a plenitude of Kalamata Olives. I double checked the menu to see if the Kalamata olives were in the gourmet section... NOPE only black olives were listed. I thought maybe they made a mistake, but really a good one because Sheri and I both are Olive fanatics and love really good Olive Bars (Wegman's). I was expecting chopped up Portabello Mushrooms scattered over my pizza, BUT instead my pizza was covered with beautifully grilled / sauteed Portabello Mushroom slices (See Photos). OMG, yum Y u m Y U M !!!, not only were the Portabellos grilled, but they were marinated as well... I even handed one to Sheri to try as she will only eat mushrooms when I cook them in wine...LOL. The crust was tasty, but a little too thin to handle the cheese without flopping; so I gladly had to knife and fork the first third and then was able to pick it up to eat. The sauce was beautifully seasoned with just the right amount of sweetness and zing a good tomato sauce should have. Our waitress did offer to refill our drinks twice, once as she dropped off our slices, and then when she dropped off the check. When I glanced at the check I was shocked, it was then that I noticed that the soda only cost $1.50. Two slices of pizza and two sodas cost $8.50 +tax, wow that is a fantastic deal!!! As we were getting ready to leave, Santos came out to introduce himself to us as the owner / chef and asked us what we thought. We stayed for another ten minutes chatting and discussed several things; 1st was the Olives, 2nd was TV placement, and 3rd the noise / echo. I asked Santos to sit in the seat I was in and look at the TVs, he agreed very uncomfortable placement, and said that he would re-look placement. We talked about the Portabellos and how awesome they were, and Santos told me that he even does the same with the regular sliced mushrooms too. Okay can you say Mushroom Heaven!!! They are open every day beginning at 11am. Santini's offers free delivery, and they offer catering. Santini's has earned a place on my "Best Pizza Slice" list. Make note that we intend on coming back to try their Italian dishes as well.
