Pizza
Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.
Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.
Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Whether you prefer thin or thick crust pizza, you can find a pizza of your preference at the best pizza restaurants in your city.
Italian Cuisine
The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.
Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.
If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.

We were driving to Frederick and saw this restaurant. Decided to to stop in and so glad we did. The restaurant has a laid back mood. Menu is small buried like that. I had pizza and it was great. Very fresh nice taste. My wife had Rainbow trout and loved it. The staff as friendly. The restaurant clean. Easy place to miss though. Ian glad we stopped by

This food was amazing. The wings lack in number but made up for in taste. Probably the best wings I ever ate. Pizza and cheesy bread were great. The wings will not be forgotten though

Excellent brick oven style pizza with the only availability in the area. The quality of food is excellent. The pizza is very traditional. Sandwiches are hot out of the oven.

Came in for late lunch, and we were very satisfied. Spotted hot pastrami on the menu, and I had to get it. They use the brick oven for everything, and what I got was a wonderful sandwich with perfectly toasted bread and stretchy mozarella cheese. The pastrami was delicious- not too salty, just the way I like it. Pizza is better than your average, crust not as thin as the typical NY style pizza, but it works- crusty and holds the fillings well. We chose artichoke and feta for our toppings, with notes of sweet, nutty, a little tangy and salty flavors- all these play well with their sauce and generous amount of mozarella cheese. It's a casual place, good for eating out with friends. I think it's kid-friendly, too. People were really nice and attentive. Worth a try.

Full restaurant prices with the customer service of a fast food joint. Pay at a counter and your on your own from there. I had a spinach salad that was dripping in dressing and covered in flavorless cheese. Pizza was extremely greasy and crust was burnt. All served on cheap paper plates. Music was blaring on the front porch seating, so much it was hard to talk. I will def not be going back.

All I can say about this pizza place is "WOW" My wife and I have been looking for the best pizza in our area for 6 years now. We can stop. That's all I can say, if you love pizza you owe it to yourself to try it, you won't be disappointed

We have been back numerous times, dine in and take out, and the pizzas remain amazing, with excellent wait staff and a friendly and knowledgeable owner.

Amazingly good fire oven pizza. I love this place. Everything about the pizza is perfect. The dough, sauce, and cheese. Go there right now or you are a communist.

We have been to this location several times and the one in Mt. Airy twice. We've had a great experience at each location; Mt. Airy is more of a bustling place in general,so the restaurant seems busier than this location. We've had great pizza here and some that has been better than average. But the service has always been friendly and the restaurant clean. We've never had to wait long for our food. It is better food than many of the chains, and different from Ledos or J&P, each of which have their specialties as well. I'd say that if J&P is a true NY style experience, this is closer to a bistro/small neighborhood restaurant one.

First trip was fast, friendly and it was good casual food. Nothing fancy but easy in and out. The place has a full bar and large TV so should be a nice place to meet up for a game although they close by 9:PM I think. 1 pizza with a topping, an order of wings and 1 beer cost $27. It's better pizza than any of the chains. It isn't a true large thin crust NY style pizza like you can get over at J&P's in Damascus, and it isn't the small artisan pies, but the crust was crispy with good flavor, had a nice sauce and the cheese mix was perfect. For $12 you get a medium pie of 8 small slices that would be enough for two adults with an app, or an adult and two kids. Toppings are $2 each or 1/2 pie for $1. Price seems marginally high since the pies are on the small side but the toppings are good quality and quantity. The wings were fine. They looked to me like pre-cooked fried wings that were heated in the oven. I'm just guessing about the initial cook, but they had good flavor, were tender, and served with hot sauce you could dip in for a true buffalo taste. Restaurant has a lot of seating options. You order at the counter, get your own plates and napkins, and they bring the food out to you. We'll go back for quick meals with the kids. Be curious to hear how the grilled rainbow trout entree is...but I think I need to see a picture of it first before I try it at a pizza place. For me this is an "A-OK" 3 star place but the kids really liked it so keeping in mind that it's a family place, it's 4 stars. No complaints on the food or service.

Not sure, pizza was really good. Trying to figure out the sitting area araingement, server?, paper plates and plastic forks? This is okay in a high traffic area, like a boardwalk or in California. But here, we need a server, real silverware and real plates. Your pizza is good! But, for two beers and an 8 slice pizza costing $28.00 it needs to be better. Suggestions? !? 1. Outside tables need a top, you feel like your beer will topple over at any second. 2. Menu board needs to be a neutral tone background, white with big black letters does not get it done. 3. Topping costs are to high.

I decided to try the wings this past friday. I don't usually order items like this at a place that specializes in pizza, but I'm glad I did. These are wood fired wings that are not sauced. They give you a buffalo and ranch sauce on the side, but you don't need them. The wings are incredibly flavorful without either of the sauces.

We are huge fans of Laurienzo's...of Mount Airy. This newer location suffers in the comparison. After driving past this Hyattstown branch a thousand times (after a long build-out, they finally opened some time ago) we decided to give the Mt. Airy location a pass for once, and try this newer one. (Parking in downtown Mt. Airy is sometimes an interesting challenge, and that Laurienzo's can get very, very busy at times). The good news here is access and the pizza. The little shopping center on Rt. 355 has plenty of parking, and it's easy to find. But as soon as we walked in, we knew we were not in Kansas anymore. Unlike the first location, this one has no table service, a very limited menu (up on the wall), and zero atmosphere. The pizza is as good as we were used to at the other branch: wood-fired, handmade, and for my money, the best pizza for 45 minutes in any direction. This is my list of positive aspects. On the other hand, it's an oddly utilized interior, with not enough tables, a little bar hidden sort of behind the ordering register, very little customer service, and for all that, pretty stiff pricing. You go up to place your order, you go get your drinks (but apparently, no brewed iced tea), you go to the wall and get your own paper plates and plastic tableware (boo). They will bring you your food when it's ready. As they did with our 2 pizzas and our order of garlic cheesy bread (think white pizza, as it turns out). Although our young food runner seemed stymied that there were only two elevated pizza holders on our table, and asked us (!) what to do with the other one. And after all that, a few minutes later I had to go up again and ask if we could have the salad we had ordered. (Confidential to the management: way too many teenaged employees leaning languidly against their work areas during this Friday night dinner hour.) The pizza is great. If this were closer to my house, I would definitely consider it for takeout. Eating in, not so much.

Delicious. A little expensive for the pizza we got- the topping are a bit much. But I understand that this is a second restaurant to the one in Mt. Airy, so maybe they are trying to offset cost. But the pizza had a thin crust, which I love, and fresh toppings. It was nice and hot when it came out. We delve in and were pleasantly surprised. Keep it up!

Stopped here on my way home to order a carry out pizza, told it would be 20 minutes. Waited 20 minutes in my car, go to get pizza nothing ready. Waited 20 more minutes. Two other carry out's came and gone, looked in oven nothing there, asked where is my order and their reply, sorry it didn't get made. Asked for money back and took tip out of tip jar and left. I'll never go back. Great way to run a business!

Review based on ten visits. I am a fan of wood oven pizza, but I now realize that this cooking method does not guarantee a good pizza. It takes a more consistent approach for one thing, and it seems that with time the pizza is sort of a thin crust version of Dominos. If you order artichokes, that means that there will have to be more than a few scattered leaves. If olives, it means that I am not interested is seeing how fine an olive can be chopped and how thinly it can be spread. If you top it with cheese, it may mean that you might want to stop before the thickness of the cheese is double that of the cooked dough. Ambience is a couple steps down from basic. It's all on the cheap. High school staff untrained in basics. Can't remove a cork from the wine. Can't smile and be pleasant. Can screw up an order. Initially, I liked the pizza and forgave the rest. Now the pizza is gravitating towards a junk rating. I have sampled a few of the other menu items but they're not that good either. Think I'm done.

Pizza is good. Atmosphere is good. Salad is overpriced soggy and over dressed. The chicken pesto sub had frozen processed chicken strips? Was expecting food similar to the mount airy location? Disappointed loyal patrons of mount airy location and julianos Laytonsville:(

I love this place. Very convenient. I felt like the staff were no less hospitable than most establishments in the area. The owner and his wife are great folks and have had many conversations with us while we were enjoying our dinners. The hours are a little different than most places, but when you are running two restaurants and trying to balance a family life that is understandable. Specials are now posted on their Facebook page so go like their page so you don't miss out.

The restaurant is a casual dine in or carry out place. The decor is simple, but it's a nice atmosphere. They have a small menu with the basics- some apps, salads, sandwiches, pastas- the main feature are the wood fire pizzas. We got a house salad- fresh ingredients, and a pizza with pepperoni and red onions. The food was good, pizza was better than the usual large chain places. My only gripe might be the cost, but that wouldn't prevent me from going again and ordering a similar meal.

Good Crust, staff, and ambiance with fair prices but average tomato sauce. For a nice experience its worth a try but if you are a foodie willing to drive you can do better.

We enjoy Laurienzo's pizza however feel it is a bit overpriced. When we visited the Mt. Airy location we were hoping the Hyattstown location would be the same. We liked the experience in Mt. Airy and felt that warranted the higher priced menu. Finding out that Hyattstown was priced the same was a bit of a disappointment given the "take out" atmosphere. With that said, I don't mind the take out atmosphere if that's the feel you're going for, however more selections would be nice. I will have to compare to NY J & Ps in Mt. Airy - I drove all the way there the other night for Baked Ziti (we live in Windsor Knolls). If Laurienzo's had the full menu at the Hyattstown location I would have immediately gone there for dinner.
