I personally think BWW is okay in that it is a 3 star type place, somewhere to go in a pinch and as long as you dont think you will get great food everything will be ok. This place is very big, clean, and tons of tvs even in the bathrooms. Service was good, food was ok and the place was nice.

Okay first I want to say holy sh!t. They seated us and no more that 5 minutes later they seated about 20 little leaguers and their extended families. Then about 10 minutes later another 20 or so rolled in. It was a bloody madhouse. They wouldn't move us as we had ordered already. I should have walked out. Food was terrible. They would not make my burger medium rare only medium well. Company policy they said. It doesn't say that anywhere on the menu. The sauce was sickeningly sweet. WORST. WINGS. EVER. It was as if they boiled them, tossed them down into a dirty ally and threw them into a paper container. Never again. I will go to the owl place and ogle breasts next time.

Great wings, fast friendly service, nice bar, good crowd and a large menu to choose from. I've been on a bit of wing quest lately and have been sorely dissappointed by bars promising excellence and under-delivering with under-sauced bland wings. Not the case with BWW! Their wings were great. The WILD sauce made for a stereotypical PERFECT buffalo wing in my book. A true buffalo wing should be medium sized, well cooked and the sauce should have flavor AND heat. And there should be plenty of sauce! A wing with enough flavor that you can still taste the sauce after you dip it in blue cheese, and there should be enough heat that it deters you from making a pig of yourself and eating more than a dozen. These hit all the marks. You knew you were eating spicy wings, but the heat didn't stay with you after you were done. Excellent. I also tried the Habanero Mango and though they were pretty bland. They have a lightly sweet flavor, and I didn't notice the heat. If you dipped them in anything or took a large bite of meat, you'd lose the flavor entirely. My guess is people just like to rave about them because, "oooh, look at me, I'm eating haaaabaannerrro! Saucy!" There weren't that great, but aren't awful. Don't be afraid of them. Anyway, there are a dozen other flavors to explore. Kids meals are a steal at $3.99 including entree, side and milk. Can't beat that at McDonalds. The menu is huge so I'm sure if you look around you'll find some other good bar food items of interest. On Tuesdays wings cost 60 cents each which I think is a fair price for a wing. Normal price is $1 a wing which is high for the junk part of the chicken. They have other weekly specials throughout the week. The bar itself was really nice. Bright. Lots of TVs. Cute friendly bartender. Great beer selection and a nice crowd. And by nice crowd, I mean it didn't have the dirtbag crew that EVERY Germantown bar seems to get. And yes, much better than the BWB chain in terms of friendliness, price, service, etc. Give 'em a try!

Tuesday-night wing special, quick service, and helpful beer tips. They were happy to change a couple of TVs for us to put on the baseball games that we wanted to see. Auuuh probably won't visit this location again. We went on kids night and our waitress seem to be a little airy. She rushed us through our order. We asked for the game things and she took forever to bring them. So we didn't even use the dang things. We had to keep asking for refills whenever she did return. Soooo auuuh probably not again. Wow, had the most amazing wrap today. The Pepperjack steak wrap. Incredible! It was a little loud for the first 20 minutes as a flag football youth team was in celebrating a win, but thereafter the atmosphere was pleasant. The waiter was friendly. Highly recommend.

My wife and I decided to stop here while out riding our motorcycles. First, the service was spot on. After ordering our large boneless wings, the server came back and let us know that he rarely ever worked Monday's, but there was a wing special. So, basically, we just got more wings for the money. He was very attentive. The food was excellent. We also had a steak wrap that had awesome flavor. The only drawback was that a table nearby had a decent party size with kids. The kids literally trashed the place and the floor was horrible looking. The table sat that way while they brought in 4 more couples and seated them. one later even pushed her stroller through some food that was on the floor. It wasn't a deal breaker at all, but they might want to bus those tables a little faster and get cleaned up before more people sit down.

Buffalo Wild Wings is sort of a guilty pleasure. There is a lot of good going on here, so don't take my 3 star rating the wrong way (more of a 3.5 if that was possible). I know some people that would never go because as one of my friends said, "that place isn't a bar, its an arcade." Okay, maybe, but I don't mind arcades and I don't hate kids or noise so that doesn't really bother me. If you do, don't go here. Food -- The sauce selection is the highlight in food department, even though, lets be honest, the food isnt great. Its adequate, certainly not offensive. Its average bar food in my book and perfectly suitable to gnaw on while taking in a game on one of the 4,000 TVs in this place. Drink -- The beer part is great. They have a somewhat tongue in cheek "gameday special" (there's always a game somewhere, get it?) that usually helps incentivize the ginormous "tall" sized beer mug. I am not complaining, it doesn't take much to convince me to buy the bigger beer. And the best part is that the beer freezing cold - and always served in frosted glasses. It may sound simple, but that is way important to me. Service -- The service at this location are of the younger sort and it may or may not be their first job so it its not perfect; but they are always really friendly and attentive and they do work hard to make it a good experience.

Big big fan. Just what this area needed is a REAL sports bar. Great beer selection, good wings and lots of TV's. This location was built too small.

Worst food in the business. It amazes me how this chain keeps popping up everywhere. Guess beer and TV's will always save the day. Not very often that I eat somewhere else before I go to a bar to watch the game with friends.

Had a great time for my first visit to a BWW. Food and drink were as advertised. Staff hard working, especially manager Joann. Even the patrons were all very friendly - I was told that's indicative of the area. Hope to return again soon when I'm in the Frederick area. Sincerely, Art Huseonica, Crofton, Maryland

It is BW3's! (and yes, I still have no idea why they are referred to as BW3...) There is not much more to say. The great selection of reasonably priced wings and requisite fried food accompanyments (fried pickles....mmmmm), cheap beer and the information overload of so many TV's make this a must stop when my trips bring me past this place.
(4)

Buffalo Wild Wings has some of the better bar food of the chains that have expanded in the last 10 years. I recommend the sampler which gets you wings (traditional or boneless) nachos, mozzarella sticks, and the best onion rings ever. Plus, its enough for 2-3 people to share. Service has been good and bad so it's bit unpredictable how the service will be if you head up there. Beer selection is pretty good as well.

I went in alone on my way to Harpers Ferry... I was riding my motorccle and there was threat of rain so I thought I'd stop for lunch. I had to go to the bar for service, (it wasn't that busy in there although there was one large party). The bartender happily served my beer and placed my food order. Well, I drank my beer and the food never came. I was anxious to get back on the road to beat the rain and told the bartender I had to leave (at least thirty minutes passed and my food never came)... She was happy to remove my food from the bill, but IMO and my experience, she should have comped the beer also... or offered apologies and suggested a manager talk to me... who then shold have offered my a gift card or something to make up for dropping the ball. Our local BWW is disappointing, and so is this one. I don't think I'll ever visit another BWW. Even my low expectations could not be met.

It's not the best food in the world, but this is a very good bar, better then any of the bars in Germantown. The bar here features about 15-20 on tap beers, with monthly rotating draft and bottle specials, always something for everyone. The best part is how late they are open - 1am on weeknights. The food for the most is just average bar food, but the wings here are good. Since this is what they are known for, it stands to reason. They have somewhere between 15-20 wing preparations (both sauced and dry) I have had almost all of them at some point. My favorites are the desert heat, asian zing, spicy garlic, and mango habañero. Hot and wild are both great flavors as well. They have great wing specials (45¢ on Tuesdays) and also on chicken drumsticks (50¢ on Wednesdays). These are full size chicken drumsticks. I prefer the wings myself, but my wife loves drumsticks. We find ourselves up here with various and sundry friends, almost every week, eating wings, drinking and having fun (free video poker and trivia!) I am always amazed how fast midnight comes when I'm here, must be having a grand time.

Don't even think about doing a take-out order from BWW. Ordered 2 large orders of wings and one snack size order. The 1 large order had no sauce on the wings, the other large order had sauce but no other seasoning. The snack order was ok. I called and spoke with the manager explaining that the one order had no sauce at all on the wings. He didn't seem to care - said oh - that's why its not very good to order wings for take out. REALLY - that is all you can say? There are definitely other wings places that will get my business.

He said, " Finally BWW near where we live...this place has the best wings..period. I love the boneless honey bbq wings. This place just opened up a few weeks ago and although the waitstaff was a little confused about the menu, the food was cooked really good. Expect this place to be packed when you go. By the way this place is in Urbana not Frederick, I don't know who changed the city name" She said, "This is my all time favortie place to eat at...i love their food. I get their chicken tender wrap with mild sauce everytime and its amazing. i wanna start trying other things on the menu but im so hooked on their wraps. Best thing that came to urbana."

We spotted this on a HWY sign and knew we had to stop in for lunch. We tried the spicy garlic, asian zing, and medium buffalo. I LOVE the asian zing boneless wings - chili flakes, soy and ginger sauce. I may not get buffalo anymore. If you are local they have great wing deals throughout the week. It's probably good I don't live near by or I would be eating 20 cent wings every week!

We went in last Wednesday , 10/21/09, Which happens to be kids night. Lots of them there lol. Anyway, we had wings of course, He had the Jerk seasoning, Me the Mango habanero,,,, both were great. Don't let the Mango fool ya, it is hot but great flavor. Also had the Ribs and Ribs very tasty, very meaty.. Will definatly go back again,. Wish I had gotten the name of our waiter, he was great.!!!!

I can't think of a compelling reason to come here, although others must disagree because it tends to be very crowded. It's unbelievably loud inside as they play club music (?) with pounding bass, over the sound of the many TVs, and the very loud ambient crowd noise (it has to be loud if you want to hear others in your party). The servers seem well intentioned, yet incompetent. Even more unforgivable are the soggy wings-- you could go almost anywhere that serve wings as an afterthought and they would be better than this, their signature dish. There are no real food or drink specials to speak of. There is a huge bar, but dining areas are cramped and just ugly, for lack of a better word. They do have a bunch of TVs with sports on and trivia games to play, which is the most I can say for the place. In summary, food= awful, service = incompetent, value = terrible. The trivia games are fun, but aren't enough to elevate the restaurant beyond one star or make me want to ever return.

Good wings but poor service. Very very slow. We ordered drinks and food st the same time because it took so long for somebody to acknowledge us. Our food arrived at the same time our drinks and did and we had to go the bar to get our drinks. It was not busy at all. It was a Sunday at 3. They have a million televisions and no baseball on. Poker and bowling was on?

Great deal for kids!! We go nearly every Saturday for lunch, $3.99 for kids meal with drinks. I'll get a beer and the check is around $20 (30 with tip) - we usually spend another $10 in video games for the kids and I can watch sports for an hour. Great place for all of us. Wings are great with lots of choices on sauce. Great beer selection. Friendly staff and Water is free, unlike Buffalo Wings, & Beer in Germantown.

Grew up in the Midwest and remember going here since childhood and nearly every week in college. In those days it was called BW3's or the long version Buffalo Wild Wings and Wreck (Wreck being a type of sandwich). I was so thrilled when I stumbled upon the new location in Urbana as I've been living without it for years with the exception for trips to visit home! My husband and I went on the second weekend it was open and it felt like I was home again. Great wings for sure. Nothing nearly as good in this area. Love their appetizers. Its a great sports bar with TV's everywhere. We are back to our old tradition of getting wings for lunch on Saturday afternoons while watching college football. We have to drive about 45 minutes round trip to get them but its well worth it. Hoping for a Germantown location sometime soon!

This is my new favorite weekend spot, the wings here are amazing! My favorites are the Parmesan Garlic and Spicy Garlic. I can't handle a ton of heat and the Spicy Garlic has the perfect amount of spiciness to it. Its similar to the plain buffalo, but it has a sweet garlic aspect to it. The Parmesan Garlic has a little zest to it. I dream about this sauce, I love it so much. Some other good ones are Salt and Vinegar dry rub, Jammin' Jalapeno, Mango Habanero, Honey BBQ, and regular Buffalo (Mild, Medium or Hot depending on your preference). I usually get boneless and they are perfect. Crispy on the outside and juicy on in the inside. They also put just enough sauce to cover the entire wing. I have only gotten the regular wings here one time and I don't really remember if they were any good. The nachos and the sour cream and chive potato wedges are just average, maybe even a little bit below. The fried pickles are really yummy. I love the tall draft specials every Sunday and the "keep the glass" specials they sometimes have. They also have a bunch of lesser known beers on tap, like Flat Tire or The Raven and even though I don't get these regularly, it always makes me a happy camper to see a wide selection of beer on tap. Our waiters are always so nice and prompt (except one woman who works there, she seems kind of rude and disinterested but I guess there's always one). They always stop by and ask if anything is needed, and they have never kept us waiting. They have TONS of TVs everywhere, to the point where you could honestly sit anywhere at any angle and you will be looking right at a TV. This place is perfect for Football Saturdays and Sundays, and any other sports event you may want to see. Like another reviewer pointed out, this BWW is better than ANY bar in Germantown and maybe even the Moco area for that matter. My nights here go by way too fast cause I have so much fun!

Very good wing flavors and specials! Their 60 cent wings on Tuesdays are a great deal! and they do have a fairly good amount of beers to choose from. I have not been disappointed by this chain yet. Knock on wood!

Have been to this BWW occasionally since it opened. In the past the service was consistently good. Went yesterday, waited 15 minutes once seated without anyone from the wait staff coming to the table. When I went to ask for the manager, the manager could not take her attention way for the point of sale terminal even when one of the wait staff indicated a customer wanted to talk with her. When food arrived, it was good but nothing special. Service was very poor. I like BWW but this will be my last visit to the Ijamsville location.

The past three times I have been here there food and customer service gets worse and worse. The girl who took my order on the phone was totally lost and kept putting me on hold. All I ordered was one lunch meal nothing else. The Buffalitos which use to be amazing taste like the chicken is a week old and most of the topping is lettuce with very little sauce on it. Like I said this has happened more than once so it was not just an off day and it was during lunch so really not that busy either. Pretty disappointed in the fall off and not sure if I will give them another chance or not.

Still a chain wing joint. Now that I'm so close to BWW for work, they have become a viable option for a quick lunch. The service has gotten better since my last visit to this location, I was actually greeted this time. However, I placed a pick up order by phone and when I arrived I was directed to the bar to pick my food up... I'm assuming the bartender is also the cashier on that side of the restaurant so when I got my food she didn't seem so friendly. Almost as if I was bothering her, but that's fine... It's a sports bar/wing joint. Wings are decent, a little small for their price but the sauces are yummy. (Mango Habanero)

Arrived around 12:35 PM on a winter Saturday, I was relieved to see there were not many people as we had a basketball game to attend at 2:00 PM. Placed our food order at approx. 12:50. Food arrived at 1:45-not mine, but everyone else's. Still waiting on mine as I write this. The wait staff is pretty good, but I am writing this review because the kitchen is the slowest in Frederick county. DO NOT come here if you have to be anywhere in a decent amount of time, you will be disappointed. On the other hand, if you're a business owner, maybe it makes sense to keep a captive audience to squeeze extra drinks while you wait an interminable amount of time for your bar food. This is, after all, burgers, wings and other fried foods that any competent kitchen should be able to pump out in a normal time frame. Pretty pathetic actually. UPDATE- wings just arrived after everyone else finished their food. Got the order wrong. LOL Have a beer and leave! Don't count on the kitchen.

We were one of the first groups on opening day of this venue. We expected some downside while the kinks were worked out; however, between opening day and now, our attendance and/or desire to return to this BWW has spoiled. We went in for a family dinner last night and it was obvious that we won't be returning until we hear that things have started to change. First off, the service is slow everytime and the food comes out and a barely edible low heat level, like it's been frozen and then just dropped on the plate when ordered. The meat is very dry. Second, the policy they have regarding "all food goes out at once" is ludicrous when you are talking about appetizers or other sides. For example, I ordered the ribs & wings combo platter, but I also wanted a starter salad. After 15 mins of waiting, the server brought all the food at once. When asked about the salad coming before the meal, they said that was against their policy and all the food must go to the table at the same time. So even if my combo meal was luke warm when it showed up, it was cold by the time I got to it. As for the service, the staff is frequently slow, no matter which server we have had. No explanation, not like we can dime out one person, it's the whole system, and not like we have seen at any other BWW. Fromt the time of initial greeting, the length of time to get drinks once the order has been taken, after the drinks come and they return to take the food order, etc. all the way till the bill is paid. Just painfully slow. I can see how this would be a great place if you want to watch a game. But if you just want food, go elsewhere!!

I had lunch with a friend here since the location is a good halfway point between our houses. I wasn't expecting much but I think this location was a lot better than the Frederick location, particularly since the server didn't try to sit at the table with us (see my review on that). Our server Jon was very friendly. He made sure to show us the lunch specials menu that's available until 4 p.m. My buffalo chicken sandwich was bigger than expected and I liked the seasoning even though it wasn't spicy at all. The fries were fine and the meal comes with a yummy pickle, and soda too. Overall, no complaints for a $9.99 meal at a chain.

Great wings at good price

Overall good experience.loved their buzztime trivia! Portions were perfect and their honey BBQ is amazing.

I'm not much of a sports-bar type but I love this place! The food is great and it is a great place to hang out with friends
