It must depend on the time of day, but at 4pm on a Tuesday this location is perfect for working, studying, or chatting. Staff is friendly and professional, atmosphere's nice, and there's a mix of seating, indoor and out. I needed some internet time, and here's my oasis.

I love Starbucks. I drink their iced coffee literally everyday. I visited this particular store on a regular basis. I noticed some of the staff here are not as friendly as other sites. I ordered an iced coffee on a very hot day and I had to wait for 15 minutes. After a long wait, a barista told me they ran out of iced coffee. I had to wait another 5 minutes which was not true. It took longer than that, so I decided to ask for refund.

Extremely busy Starbucks with a decently long queue of folks here at 8:30 in the morning. Very small inside, this is probably not the ideal spot for you to camp out with a laptop and get stuff done. Very small spaces in the parking lot. Otherwise, it's the same Starbucks menu that you've seen everywhere.

Now that it's Spring, I think, the outside patio has opened up. This helps make more seating for the clientele as the indoors space is a bit tight. Even tighter at rush hours when the line wraps around in there. Anyway, today's review is not about the establishment, but one of it's baristas. This young lady always has a smile whenever I've come in there, even when you can clearly tell it's been a rough day. I believe her name is Cecilia. I wanted to send a shoutout to her and say thanks for keeping your wonderful smile. If you see her, or better yet know her, make sure to tell her thanks for smiling :-) #DMV #Starbucks #Hyattsville #smiles

Love the renovation! Much more spacious, no overcrowding by the hand-off bar, and it hands-down looks much much better. Atmosphere: The furnitures/seating were rearranged, giving a better flow when guests come into the store to getting their drinks at the bar. They also added a keypad on the restrooms to avoid non-patrons from using the restrooms (I honestly like it because it doesn't get as dirty as it used to). Drinks: three fav drinks, not in order are, 1) cool lime without the lime wheels 2) green tea latte, soy, no foam, no classic (no classic = no sugar; the sweetness of the soy compensates for no sugar) and 3) tall flat white in grande cup. The cool lime and the flat white could taste differently depending on who makes it. If the barista actually goes by the book when making those two drinks, they will absolutely taste amazeballs!! Food: they just brought in new items like popcorn, gums, bristro boxes, olive stuff, etc. I love the almond roca popcorn. It can get a little sweet of you eat all of it at ones but it's so good. They also changing back the la Madeleines to the older version . I don't really like the new one that came out - too moist and not enough crisp on the edges. I just wish this SB location would get a reserve. I have tried them before and they are delish. If this location gets it I'm sure they'll get more business.

The best part about this Starbucks is the large outdoor patio. I came recently with a group of colleagues for a "team meeting". It's not crowded at 2:30 on a weekday, but an hour or so later the indoor seating was packed. There's not a lot of seating inside as this is one of the smallest Starbucks I have ever been in. I thinks there are two comfy chairs side-by-side with tables elsewhere. Service is prompt and drinks are as good as any other Starbucks. Food wise, I've only ever had their blueberry muffin, and it was okay. Also, it is easy to get out onto East-West Hwy heading east.

THE SHOWDOWN BETWEEN THE BOLD, THE ATTITUDINAL, & THE LAZY: So I stop in here again on a Saturday before I get my car washed and ran into a male friend. He's a local restaurant owner, so we in there choppin it up. I'm looking around for Tommy Lee, he's nowhere to be found to screw things up. Thank GOD. But that mean muggin chick with attitude is working the register again. There is also a new girl barista, she seem like she had a sweet disposition. Well she took my order and made my drink as the other chick looked away, pretending to be busy. I'm like ok! So then I just say what's on my mind to the new barista. I'm like thank you for being so polite and nice, because every time I come in here these damn people seem like they got an attitude. If this chick over here ain't rolling her eyes, the drinks suck, always something with this place! Nobody told these people to work for Starbucks, you hate it get another damn job cause I'm tired of coming in here lookin at you too. (Glaring at the chick who was mean muggin and refused to take my order) Oh yes I did! So the barista just starts laughin, like Girl I feel you! So she gives me a Grande instead of a tall and for ONCE the Soy Vanilla Chai tasted right. My buddy is at the table by the window crakin' up. This place is too close to my everyday whereabouts for me to be driving out of my way. I'LL BE BACK....

I have been here too many times and the staff is always changing. Some of them look at me like I am crazy when I ask the barista to blend a bit of whipped cream into my frapachino. It makes the drink a lot more smooth and it makes have less ice pieces.

I've been to this Starbucks so many times it is NUTS! That no one else has already yelped it is NUTS! I'm here right now slurping up a venti double chocolate chip frappuccino. Man o man is this thing delicious. I'm also here crunching up their free bandwith and power from one of the two outlets. This is a pretty good Starbux. I mean it does not have any comfy shmumfy velvety armchairs to relax in. But it plays some great music (SBUX playlist thank you), they get your order right, and they always talk to you in a cheery happy employee voice! I think they need to spend a few $$$ to add a couple more power outlets and maybe add a comfy chair, but whatever. I'm happy with this Starbucks. Why only four stars? The employees can get a little loud at times. Louder than the bean grinder machine. I had to repeatedly hear all about this one employees cell phone bill. Couldn't block it out. Hard as I tried. If you just get your coffee to go, this won't be a problem. But if you're inside to compute or do quiet coffee-shop reading, beware of the barista conversations. Otherwise, I'm a fan!

This is "my" Starbucks. It's not the newest or largest but it's the closest to my house and on my way to work via bus or metro. It's also where I usually set up to work when I'm spending a few hours outside of the office. I'm too lazy to go elsewhere but it's probably not the best location if you want to work all day as there are literally 2 outlets. You'll be SOL if you don't land one of the coveted seats within plug-in distance. Then again, if you think buying 1 latte entitles you to mooch free wi-fi for 8 hours, you are a horrible human being. Anyway, the reason I'm reviewing this Starbucks is because while there are definitely a couple of surly workers, I want to give a s/o to the ones that are awesome. There are 2 white girls who work morning shifts that are always sunny and smiling. When there's a lull, I've noticed they clean or straighten products. BIG s/o to the young black guy working last evening when I stopped in for my latest obsession, the green tea frap. It was $4.19 so I handed him the .19 and a $100 bill but he told me they didn't have enough change. I pulled out the 3 loose singles I had in my wallet and without missing a beat, he told me not to worry about it and grabbed a dollar from the tip jar to make up the difference. Way to go above and beyond!!! I managed to replace his dollar with quarters and dimes but felt bad I didn't have anymore change to tip. Next time I see him I'll absolutely make a big contribution to the tip jar!

I wouldn't usually write a review for Starbucks. It's Starbucks. Everyone knows what their going to get (and ordering it most likely will add a few new words to your vocabulary). But, I was in there today and saw those girls give some amazing customer service. Over and over again. First to me: there wasn't any Pike's coffee ready so she took it off my check. Then deftly handled a picky guest. Then deal with some of the Starbucks weirdos who wander in. Then more awesome customer service. No idea who they were, but they were good. My coffee was okay, just like it always is, but the girls in there definitely earned the five stars.

One of the sadder Starbuck's I have visited. While the beverages were good overall and nothing was particularly bad about them, it was the atmosphere that really suffered, and the atmosphere of a Starbucks is something that really sets it apart from the rest of the competition. This Starbuck's is rather small with barely any space for tables and chairs, which isn't really an issue. It's right across the street from a metro station and caters more towards the quick coffee before heading into the city to work. However when I visited here last Wednesday, 2/4/2015, from 2-4 PM, there was absolutely no music playing for the duration of the visit. At around 3:50, they decided to turn the music back on but for a good two hours it was dead silent in the store, leaving for conversations to be overheard and the front door, which hinge seemed to be broken, to annoyingly close with a very loud THUD every time someone walked in the door. On top of this, the employee's were extremely rude, in a dead silent store with no music, they proceeded to have a shouting conversation with their friends who were on the other side of the store, as they were walking out the front door. Overall leaving a very sour atmosphere to be had. Definitely one of the badder experiences I have had at a Starbucks. But it's PG so what can you expect.

This Starbucks is dirty, it only provides one type of dairy - half n half - to put in your coffee, and they run the water in the sink behind the counter constantly - its such a waste. I pointed it out to the Barista, she turned it off for literally about 10 seconds and when I turned around, it was back on.

I love this Starbucks (and trust me, I've been to many). Laid back vibe, consistent drinks and Cara makes the best iced green tea latte I have EVER had! The secret? Her shake is perfection. And if you are a GTL drinker and don't know what I'm talking about, your barista is making it wrong.

Definitely the worst service I received at a Starbucks. Recited my order twice, and it still came out wrong. The staff seemed to cater to certain clientele, I was not one of them. Waited there for 15-20 before they finally got my order right.

It's a decent S-bucks. No frills or comforts of, let say, the one in College Park, but it does is job and gets me caffeinated. I had to give it three stars because the staff always seem to be more preoccupied with conversing with their friends who come in then actually getting your order right. I get the same thing every time i come in, Tall Vanilla Chi Late, yet it seems they think I say, Gingerbread Late, or Iced vanilla late. I've had to have them remake my drink 3 times! If they'd just pay attention to what they are supposed to be making this wouldn't happen. BUT, I think it's just a particular Barista, not all of them. Saving grace that they are the closets S-bucks, or I'd go elsewhere, but the CP one would require an extra 15 mins to my morning commute, and lets face it, thats just no bueno.
