The Kingston Arbor Jamaican food was delicious. We ordered the Curry Chicken Dinner and Jerk Chicken Wings This is a hidden jewel in the back of PG Plaza.

After years of passing by this place I finally tried it. I ordered from the $5.99 lunch special combo list. I had the chicken curry which came with rice, plantains, steamed vegetables and a soft drink ( or bottled water.)The price is awesome for the amount of food they stuff in that white box! The sides tasted good. I was afraid the sodium would be too much but it was salted just right. It tasted good good but it's definitely not super fresh. If you ever made curry and had left overs you know the taste of old curry when the flavors release and the meat is marinated to the bone. Definitely tasty and I would still return for their lunch specials. The $5.99 for a Jamaican combo is unheard of. Edit: I have been grabbing lunch from their specials menu at least once a week and have my coworkers hooked. I usually get the curry chicken, steamed veggies and I have them substitute the rice with extra steamed veggies. I found my newest addiction: Rum Raisin ice cream! Loving this place!

This is a solid place to grab authentic Jamaican dishes, and one of the few tasty options in the area. I ordered the oxtail, which came with rice and peas, plantains (they weren't sweet though) and veggies for about $8. It was enough for both lunch and dinner, so I was happy. It was a bit greasier than I'm used to, so this definitely isn't healthy to eat on a regular basis. But it was a nice treat, and broke up my food monotony. I find that the Jamaican spots in DC are overall better, though.

The food is amazing. I would be a bold faced liar if I said the food wasn't awesome. It transports me back to my grandmother's house where I would get that good home cooked food every day (sigh). The missing star is because of customer service. They are not very accommodating when it comes to friendly, attentive, service. I saw one of the staff members get into it with another customer over a discrepancy in an order and the staff member that was communicating with her was very rude. That same day I ordered chicken patties (which are awesome) and coco bread and once I got home I realized that the coco bread wasn't with my food. I was definitely bummed by that. Other than the attitude problem i'll be back, I'll just make sure to check my order before I leave the store.

Very good authentic Jamaican cuisine. Have been coming here for years now, and I just hope to keep this secret to myself! Teehee. I'm just kidding. Very sweet and patient people who work there, always. The best Jerk Chicken I've ever had and the portions are phenomenal. I always get the large order, and it's easily 2 very satisfying meals for me. Compared to Jerk Pit's food and service, hands down the best. My friends have ordered the oxtail and curried goat (also delicious), and the beef patties are insane, chicken as well. Never a dried out or old patty here. If it was old, they wouldn't even sell it to you. They also sell homemade ice creams here! Rum raisin is the best.

I really enjoyed the total experience. The young lady that took my order was nice. She answered my questions with no sass. She opened the container to show me the food and to my delight it looked just like the pictures. Flavor....forget about it!! It was the best. They use real herbs, just the right amount of salt, heat and the rice was cooked well. Not crunchy or mushy. Beef patty was yummy also. This was my first time so I'm expecting the greatness to continue!!

Ehhh, not the most visible location as its on the back side of PG Plaza near Target. But in their defense, there's a lot of foot traffic through this area. All I had was a chicken patty and plantains. I had never been to this place and I typically start out small when ordering food at an unfamiliar establishment. The patty was pretty good...nothing special. It was a little smaller than Im used to as well as pricier. The chicken patty was $2.25 and the plantains were $2.50. The plantains, however, were plentiful. I think it was a nice amount in the container although they were sliced really large and some were dry. Im used to plantains being a little sweet. All-in-all, this is a decent place to grab a snack. Perhaps I'll stop back in and give the jerk chicken a try. :) Also, credit cards are accepted but you must have a minimum purchase of $10 so bring cash if you're just grabbing a snack.

Good service for a carry out. I was surprised at the good size portions for the $5.99 Lunch special.

Kingston Arbor is my got to spot when I'm at work. I work very close to it. I eat there about 3 to 4 times a month. What I love about KA, is that they may seem like a small cozy little shack. Once you step inside you see they have a full banquet hall for catering. But all that flavor and goodness comes out in the foods. I'm partial to their jerk chicken and jerk wings. They have Coco bread, and their Ox tails are a major flavor. So much so that if you want to taste the ox tails they will only let you taste the sauce (not the meat). They have the usual sm and lg platter sizes. I've been a patron of KA for years. Even when I moved to SF, and came back to PG co. for work. I went right back to KA. I love their drink selection, but I always get their Ginger Pineapple juice, it's home made and soo so so good.
