I have been back a couple of times since my last review on a Saturday night. The service was better the food is decent and the beer selection has gotten better, but when we went it was very quiet, so I don't know if the service has really improved until we go when there is a crowd. As of right now I would go back again out of convenience.

Our business group held a luncheon there last Friday and we were very impressed. The food was delicious, and presented beautifully. I had a bowl of chili and, at the recommendation of Kimmie, a half sandwich of chicken salad, which was rich with grapes, etc and did not disappoint. Others had various items but they all looked amazing. I've eaten there a few times in the last couple of months and the lunches were always delicious. We will definitely be back.

Absolutely the worst dining experience - served warm water - rolls come to the table after the meal - half the table served and plates cleared before the others at the table were even served - Horrible experience!!!!!

I thought I wrote a review about this place before but I see it is gone. This place is low class trash from start to finish. Mismanaged, poor quality, and lower than low in value. Avoid this place if you value your self respect.

NO STARS! Was at an event yesterday that was absolutely the worst! Warm Sangria, warm water, half of a table got starters, either soup or salad, the rest didn't get theirs until the first round was cleared, and no dressing until asked. No rolls until after the entire meal was over, they were still baking them allegedly, one entree that was not even described what it was supposed to be, dessert was gelato that was served nearly an hour after the entree was cleared, and there were three flavors but nobody was asked which they preferred. Lousy service, lousy food, hit room, warm drinks....I feel sorry for the host who paid the bill, they need a refund!

So many other places to go in the area that are 100% better. Enough Said.

My dad loves the bulle rock golf course so he somehow convinced the rest of us to take a trek to Aberdeen tonight to eat at this restaurant at bulle rock, called silks. I knew from the moment I saw that there was only one other table in the restaurant at 8pm on a Saturday, this was gonna be a bad experience. So Tonight was $18 steak night. You choose between a flat iron steak, filet, or tres major cut with green beans and mashed potatoes -two of the worst side items on the planet. When we asked our waitress what the tres major cut tasted like, her reply was that it's the "shoulder of the cow." When we asked her if the cut was fatty, she got frustrated and told us that it was the shoulder and could not tell us anything else. This was literally the girls only description of the steak. She had no freaking idea what the hell the difference was between the cuts of meat she was serving people. She had an attitude about it as well which pissed me off. Surely I knew at this point it was gonna be a crappy meal so I decided not to order anything besides the entree, which is unusual for me. Needless to say no one liked their food. The salads (Caesar and house) were fair but meek and flavorless according to my parents. My moms crab cake just sucked, my dad's salmon was cooked well but was small and lacked flavor, and my steak was very fair. The asparagus was overcooked to death and gross. The potatoes tasted like whipped sour cream- god awful. I would have preferred the boxed spuds from the store. Thankfully the french fries we ordered in place of the mashed potatoes were surprisingly awesome. By far the best thing We had all night. In the end this place needs serious help. It's clean and the space has a lot of promise especially considering the fact that it overlooks a beautiful golf course. But the restaurant itself lacks identity and the menu needs to be revamped completely. I felt like I was in the twilight zone all night. Moral of the story: Whenever you see a restaurant that's empty on a Saturday night , be extra cautious because chances are - It's empty for a good reason. In this case it's because the food just wasn't up to par - no pun intended :)

Although I live right down the street (and used to work there), I hadn't been to Silks in quite a few years. I had heard good things about the new chef, so I was excited to try it again. The new menu was very nice and our food was good, nothing fantastic, but good. The service was absolutely awful. It took 15 minutes for our waiter to acknowledge our existence. Once he realized he had a table, it took another 15-20 minutes to bring us our drinks. We had to ask for water (three times)! We also had to ask for bread (another three times). When we tried to catch the attention of the manager, she also ignored us. To say that the evening was a disappointment, is an understatement.

How do u not open for breakfast ? At a golf course? Seriously? i got there at 11 for a 1230 tee time, and the host told me...maybe you should eat the snack house (at the turn) because the kitchen takes a very long time. why open at 11 if you cant get your food until 12? how about the kitchen staff show up at 9 and get ready? dumb..really dumb

We threw a Fundraiser event at Silks last night for the local Boys and Girls Club, which after our previous event at Laurrapin they had a lot to live up to. Short version was they failed miserably. The bartender was pretty much beyond useless, with almost the entire restaurant only being patronized the entire time we were there by our group of about thirty people. During the entire time we were there they only had two or three tables come in that were not a part of our group. Service was horribly slow, and he was simply rude. The manager attempted to make up for it by putting a second bartender behind the bar to help (who was much better than the first bartender), but it couldn't make up for the bartender's lack of personality and horrible demeanor. Numerous people complained about the quality of service, and we actually had him try to force us out of the restaurant because it was later than he wanted to stay (the place says they close at 9), even though the manager that was closing told us we could stay as late as we wanted. The food was fairly generic appetizers that consisted of steak bites, coconut shrimp and little spinach bites. Overall it was sad that the bartending service totally ruined what could have been a great evening at a beautiful location. The restaurant has so much potential with their location and great decor, but they need to fix their service issues before they can even move on to figuring out their niche. As a friend of mine said, Silks is trying to be a fine dining restaurant on a SysCo budget.

Terrible, almost rude service at hostess stand. Unfriendly staff overall. Waiter (the bartender) was friendly but gave mediocre service in dining room. Had to wait forever for check. Unremarkable room-temperature food which was way overpriced. You would think that a golf course of this status would have an awesome restaurant. Word of advice--don't waste your money.

Well yet again I was disappointed. We live in the community of BR and we love to support our local area. We had not gone back to silks for quite some time. And last night was a reminder why we don't go. We sat for over 15 min to wait for our waiter which the hostess had to tell him we wanted him. FInally he comes to the table only to see he had already passed our table a few times prior. Service is still slow and awful!! When we finally received our first drink which took well over ten minutes for wine he smelled heavily of smoke!! He couldn't. Wait to deliver first! Then our food comes very slow again and our food is Luke warm. Ugh. Very disappointed. And to top it off they no showed me in open table!! I really want to give a good rating the food is the only saving grace I have not been disappointed there. But if I going out to enjoy myself customer service is just as important as the food if not more important!customer service is what drives a business.
