Went here on a Friday afternoon shortly after lunch rushes would have ended. Bud Light draft was out which took 10 minutes to swap kegs. Kegs take 2 minutes max to swap as I've worked in a bar. Beer was still flat though. Ordered the buffalo chicken dip which was great but extremely over-priced at $10 for a handful of chips and small amount of dip. The bartenders and servers are extremely friendly and are fast. This would be a place I'd come to often if they made some changes in the back and adjusted their prices.

Morgan and Cecilia made us four girls a great huge margarita to share in the turtle shell last night. We didn't want the normal she'll drink because it's an instant headache (could be called hell in a shell). It was amazing and definitely should be added to the menu! Ask for it!

Bottom Line: A loud bar with TVs that coincidentally serves food. The Green Turtle is a bar and a good place to go when you want to blow off some steam or get totally wasted. They have some delicious shots, fun mixed drinks, the 64 oz Hell-in-a-Shell and a decent selection of beers. Along with being a bar, one can expect the following: - Its loud - Sometimes it's jammed packed - There are lots of TVs if you want to catch the game - The food is just ok - food for soaking up the booze but not going to wow you What I particularly like about This Green Turtle location is that they honor Happy Hour in the restaurant. I appreciate that, and applaud them for doing so, since this TGT is a little smaller than others and it gets busy. I'm not into doing shots, but I can never say no to a Pineapple Upside-down Cake shot at the Turtle. Also, if you want a "conversation piece" at your table, be sure to order a Hell-in-the-Shell 64oz. mixed drink concoction. For me, the shell drink was too sweet but it was certainly lots of fun.

Was there a couple weeks ago on a Wednesday night. There were a couple playoffs happening at the same time, so the bar was p-a-c-k-e-d, while the dining room was sparse. (Granted, it was about 9:30 pm.) Met a friend there, so we decided to get a table away from the bar, only to be sat right near the entrance. We requested a booth, but that section was closed. Instead, we moved to a booth in another area -- back near the bar again. They seemed a little annoyed, but they didn't tell us we couldn't do it. I had the hog hammers, while my friend had (I think) fried shrimp, and we each had a beer. All was okay on the food front, and the server was decently attentive. Mostly we were just talking over the din from the bar. I would go back mostly for the company, preferably with a little less noise.

I went to Green Turtle on a Saturday evening to watch a UFC fight and after my 2nd visit here I think it's time for me to write a review. Arrived a little after 8pm to watch the Rousey vs. Correia which was a highly anticipated fight so to my surprise (pleasantly) it wasn't crowded at all. I was immediately seated outside and a waitress came right over. Our waitress for the night was name Danielle and she was great! This place has tons of TV's (2 outside and more inside) and a huge bar area. Perfect place to watch any sports event. I noticed that people started arriving close to 9pm and by 10pm they were almost packed, shortly after it was wall to wall with people. But didn't bother me a inch because I was comfortable in my seat ;-) Since I arrived so early I had plenty of time to eat, drink, chill and just enjoy the atmosphere and making new friends. Here is a rundown of what I devoured...from what I can remember LOL Hog Hammers Looked like miniature rib bones shaped in drumsticks with BBQ sauce, served with fries. - Tender, well seasoned and very good Crab Dip Crab dip baked with melted mozzarella cheese and topped with Old Bay seasoning with warm, soft pretzel sticks for dipping. - Plenty of crab, perfect balance of cheese and the pretzel sticks are more like a soft cut up pretzel bread roll - pretty darn tasty and worth getting Maryland Crab Soup Tomato-based crab soup - Typical Maryland Crab Soup - nothing that would make it a "signature dish" but still good Fleet Street Chicken *HEADS UP* you have the choice of getting one or two chicken breast, I choose 1. It was topped with a balsamic glaze, diced tomatoes and lump crab. Green beans and Yukon Gold mashed potatoes on the side. This dish was awesome and I think I inhaled it because I ate it so fast LOL! Lemon Blitz Deep Eddy Lemonade and I'm sorry I don't remember what else was in it but it was rrreeealllyy good!! Ruby Red Crush Deep Eddy Ruby Red Grapefruit Vodka, fresh squeezed orange juice and Sprite - GOOD! Black Cherry Crush Red Stag Black Cherry Bourbon Whiskey, fresh squeezed orange juice, Citrus Sour and cherries - YUMMY!! Our waitress Danielle never missed a beat and believe me when I say she was busy. She kept the alcoholic beverages coming and consistently checked in to make sure all is ok but not to the point of it being overbearing. At one point she told us to just call her name if we needed her and she would be right there. Very cool waitress. Staggered out 5 hours or so later, full, happy and full of libations LOL!!

My team and I came here Tuesday evening for dinner and had a more than unpleasant experience. From a service perspective, it was great; our waitress was very kind and friendly. However, the food was more than sub-par and this was unanimous amongst our group. I started with the chili, which was a bit cold and the ingredients did not seem very fresh, leading in with the double grilled chicken breast entree topped with crab, served with mashed potatoes and green beans. The chicken was dry and flavorless and I'm usually not picky about what I eat. Unfortunately, we will not be returning during our next visit - Best, Charlie

I came here on Friday night for dinner with my parents and grandparents and uncle who were in from out of town and staying at the SpringHill next door. Let me start by saying that even though it's definitely walking distance I decided to drive over.... and I got lost. To this day I have no idea how to get to the Greene Turtle from the SpringHill. I think you may have to go through an office parking lot to get there.... if you get on the main roads and miss your turn you'll basically end up either on the highway or at the casino. I felt like such a schmuck driving around. This was a seemingly good place for us to go on Friday night, apart and aside from the proximity to the hotel, because it was mostly handicapped accessible and they had no wait for a table of 6 at 8pm. We were also able to pick between a booth and a table, which was especially nice for my grandparents. We picked a booth and the TV was on at our table so we were able to watch the Orioles game as we ate. The service was good, the wait was good..... but my food was blech. I ordered the crabby melt sandwich without the bacon, which essentially then ends up being a grilled cheese with crab dip on grilled sourdough. Pretty much immediately when they brought it out I remembered that I don't love the crab dip at Greene Turtle because it doesn't really taste like crab - it's like a warm cream cheese dip with no lump meat or Old Bay. It was my mistake for forgetting that so I ate it anyway, but I was not impressed. My dad took a bite and said, "is that crab dip or is that cream cheese?" Exactly. Then we noticed that a band was setting up to play literally right behind my grandparents heads. We asked our waitress about ti and she said there was no set time for them to play - it's just kind of whenever they're ready. This probably would have been a good thing to share with us when we chose to sit in this particular booth because generally older people are less excited at the prospect of having a live band playing music 6 inches behind their heads. But fortunately we hurried out of there before the music started and everyone was happy. I would probably come here again.... but word to the wise: don't forget that their crab dip is pretty much awful.

Went to this place for a weekly outings with my girls. the staffs are very friendly and accommodating. I forgot the name but our waitress was very nice and checked in with us couple of times! I got crab cake sandwich and to be honest, food wasn't the greatest for $16 meal. the bread was not even toasted or buttered, it felt like they just put the bun you see at Walmart, and crab cake seemed okay but fries were not crispy. won't return for the food! however the atmosphere is really nice.

Horribly slow service, painfully average food and wine and mixed drinks that gives me a headache. And yet I keep coming back because it's convenient, the prices are great (especially during happy hour which is 3-7 p.m.) and every one seems to always want to go. The waitresses do their best to accommodate the crowds, but they're woefully understaffed to handle the surges. It is a great place to watch a game though, the entire inside is covered in tvs.

I've been here on numerous of occasions and talk very highly about this location. It's a brand new location that opened up about 2 years ago and it sets in a location aside from the actual mall. So far the service has been excellent and the food tastes amazing. They always have a manager walking around, stopping pass each table asking the customers if everything is to their liking. That's a sign that they are ontop of things. As far as the food goes, you can't go wrong with Greene Turtle's buffalo wings. You can choose between the boneless wings or the bone-in wings. I prefer the bone-in buffalo wings, but everyone has their preferences. They have about 10 different flavors you can choose from. Now they're buffalo wings are a bit pricey compared to other spots, but it's well worth your money. The crab dip is so good! This is one of the best spots for crab dip. The crab dip contains big lumps of crab meat and it's really creamy and cheesy. They serve the crab dip with warm pretzel bread instead of regular bread. The price for the crab dip is pricey, but just like the buffalo wings, it's well worth your money. Greene Turtle definitely has some pretty good burgers. If you like crab dip, I highly recommend the chesapeake burger. It's a burger topped with crab dip and american cheese. I'm not into all of those fancy burgers, but I'm glad I tried it and I've been hooked ever since.

This place is a small step up from most chain restaurants. The food kind of sucks, and that's to be expected, but the specials and service seem to be a cut above the rest. Fine for a happy hour, a big group, or if you have kids, but I don't see myself coming back here unless it's someone else's choice.

This is my carry out review. I order MARYLAND CRAB SOUP Our signature recipe. Zesty tomato-based crab soup with classic Maryland flavor. The crab meat was good. But it was a little spicy for my liking. I my not what to order this again. MARYLAND CRAB CAKE Our secret recipe handmade daily with all lump crabmeat, then broiled. Served with french fries and coleslaw. Available as one or two cakes. My first time I order the crab cake was little doughy. Second time I order they gave me a free sandwich and coupons with meal. EASTERN SHORE MAC & CHEESE Turtle's own mac & cheese with lump cab sharp cheddar chopped bacon. Old Bay and scallions, then baked to order Served with mix green. Mac and cheese was good. My brother forgot the dressing. But was ok but next time great dressing. :( But the second time I order the crab cake. They cook it right. It was not under cook. But it was still doughy again. Yes keep it a secret. Because I don't what to know. They really cheapen the crab cake. Going to Ballston Common area in Arlington, VA Green Turtles. Going to try the ribs. I wood not come this location again. 1 star for the mess up. Two star for using real crab meat. Three for the coupons. If you near by an just what something fast and walk to at the near by hotel. Yes this is the place. Don't order there seafood.

It was Sunday, and I'm guessing their slowest day of the week, which usually means really good or really bad service. My wings we're perfect, I'm pretty sure they reheated already cooked fries for me, and the service was OK I guess. I asked the waitress if they had lemonade, and she told me, "just Minute Made ". Halfway through my food , I realized there were other bottomless lemonades and teas on their menu....so I had to ask if they were alcoholic, wondering if that was why she didn't offer it to me, and sure enough they didn't have to have alcohol. Nothing special about this place to me,ever. Most people I know go for drinks and wings like normal little bars and pubs.

Love to stop here for happy hour appetizers while the kid is next door at music lessons. Atmosphere and service is good. Food is average bar food and can be hit or miss. Hog Hammers are the BOMB! Wings have too much Buffalo sauce. Pretzel Bread is fresh and chewy. Fried mozzarella is very hollow with only a small amount of cheese inside.

Good crab cake for this kind of place. Decent drinks. Tried to veer from my usual crab cake and got a burger and was disappointed. Service is usually slow so don't go if your in a rush.

Had lunch here a for a work related farewell event. My first time here and at a Greene Turtle restaurant. A pretty good experience. The restaurant was spacious and I didn't feel crowded in our group. My schedule was tight and I ordered as I entered the seating area without looking at the menu. The server got it right, brought the food hot and on time to where I could make it to my follow-on meeting. My bacon burger and fries were good, not the best, but a good burger. There were no pickles, onions, or mustard available with the food and I didn't ask...seemed like a basic burger, although it was $11. A bit pricey.

Hmmm, the food was not bad, but the service was horrible. The wait on drinks on a Saturday was almost 35minutes and the place was not packed. Our waiter also forgot about us and we had to track down several people just to get some water. We did get comped our drinks for getting red wine instead of white, which was nice of mangement since we waited so long to get wrong drinks. Overall my desire for a quick bite to eat before heading out, two beers, a glass of wine, and two burgers was a 2hrs and 35min experience. Don't think I'll return here unless I want a full French dinner culture experience where dining is a 4hr experience and you're ignored type of meal.

New to Maryland and heard the crab cakes at the Greene Turtle were amazing. I took my wife here for dinner a few weeks ago and the crab cakes taste like soap. Our waiter was very inattentive and uncaring. The whole experience was so disappointing, neither of us finished our meals.

I might be bias but I've recently adopted this particular location my fav new hangout...why? Great staff and its less then a mile from my house. I have yet to meet a waitress/bartender that I didn't feel was really nice to almost overly nice...trust me, that's not a bad thing with me. The menu is surprisingly good and diverse then one might think for a chain. You can get seared tuna tacos... To crabby melt.... To some really good wings...not to mention drink specials every day of the week. The music is going, it's more lively during the week then the weekend for some reason when I've come at different times. I love the I can find parking anytime I come and I don't have to dread the mall parking chaos across the street. This makes every visit a pleasant one. I have to highly recommend the lunch special during the week that consists of picking two menu items from a very specific item list for $6.99-$7.99 from 11am-2pm. Let's break down the food I've tried... The wings... Awesome when requesting them naked and extra crispy and ordering your sauces on the side. Most of the app menu is $5 during happy hour. The wings are bland with seasoning seriously lacking but I'm sure you can request for them to at least be seasoned. The crabby melt is oh-em-gee-Ness.. it's basically their famous crabby dip on sour dough with crispy bacon and tomato w/chedder. Insane! Don't eat this often if you're watching your girlish figure. The French Onion is way above average and better then most fine dining restaurants. I'm not kidding.. I know how I like it... Cheesy... Deep rich onion flavor with a beef stock background..croutons just right and crispy when going in for a swim. I recently had the turkey raspberry flatbread and its folded like a taco. It's crispy on the edges like a cracker but still pliable to fold over. Then you have two hearty pieces of thanksgiving-like turkey...cheddar..thinly slice red onion..tomatoes...Ohhh and... Wait for it....Wait for it... A thick raspberry dipping sauce for the whole darn thing! Sounds weird but it all comes together!! I had the half with a pecan apple salad with a Visalia onion dressing.. the half portions for their lunch special was way plenty! The fish and chips have three hearty pieces of cod in a hard crunchy batter to stand up to the malt vinegar I'm about to dose it with. It comes with a horseradish remoulade..Insane balls! The crunchified chicken tenders are good but I won't write home about that... Don't take that seriously because I've seen chicken tenders way too often with my girls. The fried pickle spears are the only thing I can think of that I feel that is just all wrong.. hard Italian bread crumb coating... With a virtually melting pickle on the inside. Sad considering pickles is part of my last meal on Earth. Overall... Great service anytime of the week...the food will almost always exceed your expectations. Bravo!

I really like this Greene Turtle in comparison to some other ones I've been to. The service here is remarkably better, with out servers always being very attentive, friendly and accommodating. I never have a problem finding a place to sit, even on gameday Sundays. My food always comes out quickly, and cleanliness of the establishment as a whole is never less than acceptable. The food is about the same as any other Greene Turtle. Not better, but not worse. What makes this location a cut above is mainly the service.

This place is okay. I've been here a few times and use to frequent here a bit when they 1st opened. All and all still a great place to go with a group of friends to catch the game, get good food, and beer if you drink it. Recently, I went here with a group of friends and we reserved tables in the back room. We basically came to chat and watch the final four game. As always it was nice and packed full of people. I wouldn't come here if you want to have a quite romantic dinner, this place is full of sports fans. I would also be weary of bringing your kids because there will be those drunk sports fans, cussing and carrying on. They do have security so things don't get but so crazy. Just remember it's a sports bar! Good: -Crab Dip -Strawberry Lemonade - TV'S in the private room were awesome -WINGS!! -Flat bread pizza Bad: -Service: There were about 25 people in our group and it took forever for us to get service to get drinks or order and the waitress barely came by to check on us. Some people in my group had to request items several times. I'm not sure if they were short staffed or what, but normally the server gives their guest a heads up or something alone the lines. However, she did make sure to tell us about their new "we no longer apply tips to large groups policy"

I enjoyed my dinner here tonight. I ordered the ribs and onion rings for the appetizer. Very tender and sauce was good. Had fish and chips for dinner. Love to order drinks from the bar. My boyfriend had ordered buffalo wings for his appetizer with the spicy sauce. And for dinner he had a slab of ribs. He said both was great! We got waited on shortly after being seated. I will be back.

When you take a classic like the Greene Turtle and franchise it there is a concern it will loose it's charm. Not the case at most locations including this one. We always love that they promote local brews and craft beers. The TV at the table is usually annoying to me but this is a sports bar and it is hockey season so it was fun to watch a game while we are. The menu often changes but there is always a nod to crab throughout the offerings. The prices are reasonable for the portion size and the food comes quickly. If you haven't tried this OCMD classic give it a try it's always turtletastic.

The Green Turtle is a great local sports bar that has consistently been a fun place to root for the home team with a bunch of friends while enjoying good specials. I found that on my last experience at the Arundel Mills location, they had particularly attentive servers. They made their rounds mindful of our needs, keeping the beers and waters full and always were around when you needed something. The Green Turtle has locations all over the area, so if you see The Green Turtle, you know you can always find a good place for cold beers, juicy burgers and awesome happy hour specials. Make sure to get an iconic Green Turtle t-shirt and pint glass to add to your collection. I did!

Stayed right around the corner on a business trip so this was a popular spot for my group. We found out about it from one in the group who spent a few years in the area after college. The Green Turtle was one of his favorite bars. The food here is fantastic. Being from the midwest, I really enjoy the opportunity to have fresh crab. I had two meals at the GT. The first night I got crab melt and sweet potato fries. Second meal was crab mac-n-cheese an greens. Both were very good. The only person at our table who was disappointed was a guy who got chicken fingers, they were not to his liking. If you're looking for a good place to grab a beer and some great food, this is the spot. We also watched a few games with some pints of yuengling after work on several days of our stay. We also really enjoyed the live music on Thurs night. This is a place I will return to, next time I'm in the area.

I had seen this place last year, but had never been. They were offering to give 20% of the proceeds to the BMX track in Severn, so thought it was the perfect time to try it. Must say I was very disappointed and don't plan to come back. It was cool they had tv's at all of the booths. Was seated quickly. And the Belmont Stakes were on, so was happy to be able to watch that. However, it took way too long to get the food. Seemed like 1/2 hour to 45 mins as we watched quite a bit of the pre-show before the food arrived. The bill came to $30 and neither of us really thought the food was that good. Way too pricey and didn't even like the food. I got the spicey tuna tacos and the other person got the french dip. The waitress had offered sweet potato fries w/ the french dip. However, when the bill came, it was a couple dollars higher than expected. When I double checked the menu on the price of the french dip, and then pointed it out to the waitress, she said you got sweet potato fries, that was $2 extra. However, she never said there was an extra charge. Needless to say the $2 came off her tip. All in all, not a good experience. Service took too long to get the food to us. Food was only so so for $30. Didn't like the up charge for the fries when she suggested it, but didn't tell us about the charge, otherwise we would NOT have ordered those fries, I would skip this place if I were you and find something else. I doubt I'll be back.

I went in for drinks and dinner at the bar on a Friday night and I'm not sure where all the negative reviews are coming from! The staff were more than polite and friendly towards me, the service was quick, the food was decent and the drinks were good. The bartender was also pretty friendly toward me and that's always a plus if they want a decent tip!

Since I moved to the Baltimore area in November, I've been to the Greene Turtle about a dozen times. I've had decent service most of the time - I don't drink alcohol but the bartenders I've dealt with are very friendly. But the food has been up and down - I've ordered the same items multiple times and received different quality of food every time. They seem to be out of certain things often - during 4 football games last season, they were out of wings and pretzels. And the place wasn't very busy at all during any of those games. In fact, there may have been 20 people in the entire restaurant.

Solid 3.5 stars. Went out with a girlfriend last night and ended up here. I've been to this location numerous times, but never for a night out. The crowd was a nice mix of young and old...no drama llamas around (thank God). My friend and I found a table at the bar and spent about 3 hours talking. Although there was music, it wasn't too loud and I didn't feel like I had to scream to be heard. The only complaint I have is that one of the three bartenders working had a bad attitude...like you were bothering him asking for a drink. Other than that, it was a nice experience and I wouldn't hesitate to come back for drinks again. With regards to the food- we didn't eat last night but I've had the food and it's pretty good. Typical chain/bar food.

Well if can get to this place...without making about 3 u turns you are doing better than me. It faces a road, which has no access?? Poor design concept! I had fish and chips..just ok. Beer was only $2.50 before 6pm, so a pretty good deal. I didn't think the menu was that great...nothing really sounded earth shattering. If I return, it would probably be just to drink..no food.

While we were in the area for work, we popped into the Green Turtle for some lunch. We specifically went into the restaurant because of its large advertisement in the front stating they had an 'express lunch'. Quite honestly, I think it was false advertising. The lunch was anything but express. We waited for quite a while to get out food. In fact, at one point (probably out of routine), the waitress stopped back and asked "how's everything tasting today?" when all we had on the table were our waters with lemon. I could tell immediately that she new it was a silly question, but had already asked it at that point. When we did finally get our food, the french onion soup was very delicious. I also had a half of the crabby melt which was ok. I think it was their crab dip on 2 pieces of bread. At least the express lunch menu was only $6.99-$7.99 so it wasn't a huge problem. However, I'd recommend telling the staff up front that you need to be sat/served immediately if you are looking to take advantage of the 'express lunch'.

Good spot for some nice orange crushes. They make all different type of crushes but I tend to stick with orange crushes. Because it's fresh squeeze orange. Food is Sometimes hit or miss. Must be the way they prepare things in the kitchen. My very first visit my chicken tenders came out perfectly. My last visit the tenders was overcook hard & dry. Menu are always greasy, they must not wipe it down between each use. Sum it up. This is a good spot for drinks and watch soccer or football. Dinning, don't expect a 5 star restaurant treatment. Then you won't be disappointed.

I've eaten here perhaps six times and this review is consistent with each visit but I'll focus on the current one. You walk in and perhaps four employees are standing around the reception desk hanging out. After a few minutes it occurs to one that "he might want to sit." So I'm taken to a table. The waitress shows up quickly and asks if I'd like a drink. It comes quickly. From here it goes down hill. The burger is overcooked and the fries have obviously been sitting around. The replacement burger is equally overcooked, perhaps microwave reheated, and the replacement fries are also old. On the way out nobody says "thanks" or anything. Food comparison: I avoid fast food restaurants but can say McDonalds Black Angus burger is superior to what is made at the Green Turtle and at roughly half the price. Hot fries at McDonalds are better than what are sold at the Green Turtle. The only saving grace is they sell beer which is delivered as is. At least they are able to cool it properly.

Really a great bar to watch a game or just hang out. The menu is regular bar food but the food is actually good. I love the chicken wings with the wide assortment of sauces to choose from. I always go for a sirracha as I like spicy food. There are plenty of TV around that you won't miss the action. Beer is cold with a large variety to choose from. A little hidden in a strip mall but once you find it you won't be disappointed.

I kept hearing about Greene turtle from everyone around the local area. I've been in Maryland for a year now and I visit the greene turtle for the first time last week. The service was sub par, they didn't even try to look friendly, and the food was pretty disappointing. I ordered the buffalo chicken sandwich. I've never experienced a buffalo chicken sandwich I could not eat, its usually my go to because its pretty hard to mess up. I was in fact wrong, the sandwich was disgusting. My mother got the fish tacos and she said they were the worst she's ever had. On a bright side their milkshakes were pretty good. So I'd suggest ordering one.

We came here as soon as they opened on a Sunday. We were literally the only ones in the place besides the staff. Even with that, we still weren't given a great experience. Service- decent, but our waitress went outside and disappeared for 2 periods of about 20 to 30 minutes. No one else bothered to check on us during her strange disappearances. The rest of the staff was sitting at the front talking about their drunken escapades from the night before and cursing. A great atmosphere for my almost 3 year old son to learn a few new words, I suppose... Food- We ordered a crab dip appetizer. The crab dip was amazing, but they gave us 5 pieces of pretzel bread for dipping. The bread was WAY too salty and there wasn't nearly enough of it. We had almost half the container of crab dip left with no bread. We were all quite surprised when someone ordered a seafood dish and were informed that they do not have cocktail sauce. Seriously!? With the number of seafood dishes they offer and no cocktail sauce? We had a good laugh at the table that you need to bring your own!! To make matters worse, when someone requested tartar sauce, our waitress dumped Kraft containers of it on our table. They do realize how easy (and cheap) it is to make decent quality tartar sauce, right? The food was good, but everything else seemed to suggest a lack of pride in the place.

Ah, the Greene Turtle! This is my second time trying this establishment out and I am very satisfied once again. Friendly server and quick service. Food was cooked right and my family enjoyed their meals! I had the cowboy burger at midrare temp, and it came out perfectly juicy. Only downside was the fries were warm. I like my fires piping hot! Nonetheless, I still killed the meal. My wife had the special crab cake sliders. She devoured them like they were the last meal she'd ever was going to have. I got a little nibble and though it was cooked well and the tasty.

As my favorite Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles would say "COWBUNGA!" Why the excitement? Well I've ate at three Green Turtles in the DMV area and I must say, this location is my favorite! The layout is fabulous with plenty of tables and booths and the bar is beyond the main entrance. Also, each booth has a personal TV with sound. In addition, parking is free and located in-front of the restaurant. The food was delicious as typical of the Green Turtle. My chiptole burger was cooked medium as requested. The chiptole sauce was spicy but not overbearing. The only negative was the lack of salsa on the burger patty. Also the Green Turtle truly exemplifies itself as a family restaurant with children eating for free (off the kids menu) on Tuesdays. See you at the turtle!

I agree that this GT location is much better than some others. I like the bar for the great service and Happy-Hour appetizers (I think they're a great value). Other than the appetizers, I have only eaten the burgers - I'll give the burgs a 3.5 out of 5, mainly because there is some outrageous competition for burgers, but again, I do like this place.

Came on a weekday during a slow time (mid afternoon). It's located across the street from Arundel Mills on the ground floor of an office building and there was plenty of parking. Tried the Spicy Jack Stuffed Burger, which I didn't think quite lived up to the name. I mentioned this to our waitress and she came back with a small cup of the Blazing Hot wing sauce. That DEFINITELY satisfied my spicy craving. For dessert we tried their monkey bread which was just perfect - warm scrumptious caramely, cinammony, vanilla-y and toffee-y goodness that was big enough to split between two people, although you may find yourself subconsciously pulling the plate closer to you the entire time. Let me also add that unlike other reviewers I thought the flat screen TV's in every booth were awesome and not intrusive at all. We also were seated in the 2 person booth and could see the TV screen just fine.

Sports bar with great food and drinks. I can't say too much more about it. Every time I have been there, the bartender givers a welcoming vibe and is personable with all the patrons at the bar.

We eat here at least twice a month and are always happy. We have been coming to this restaurant since it opened. The food is good , the staff is friendly, and anytime we have ever had a mistake with our order (which is rare) it is always corrected immediately with courtesy. They have always been nice to our children as well. I would definitely recommend this restaurant if you are in the area. It is a great place to watch sporting events too!

I was visiting the area late one night and was hungry. The plus is that they were open late. The food is what I consider standard American sports bar type food (burger, fries, wings, beer, etc.). Lots of TV's and great for watching your game of choice while eating. The food was passable but nothing amazing or memorable. I had the crab sandwich and it was definitely forgettable. Service was SLOWWWWWWW... There weren't too many tables with patrons but it took a long time to get our check and out of there.

There is No Go green light service in the slow pace kitchen. But the place is lively, vibrant, with energetic crowd. People come to hang out in open space, seems clean bar restaurant. French fries spiced with old bay, chesapeake maryland spices came out cold and flat. Fish tacos are simple with slices of cherry tomato and avocado. Located in Arundel Mills where choice of restaurants are not hard to find.

Finally tried the Greene Turtle today. I have been living in the greater DC area now for three years and finally said today was the day. I went at right at noon by myself, and sat in the bar area. The atmosphere was a warm sports bar feel with plenty of screens to watch whatever. The server/bar tender was polite and professional. My dish on the other hand left much to be desired. I got the Fleet Street Chicken without the balsamic glaze. The chicken seemed to be grilled in a sandwich style grill (restaurant grade George Foreman grill) to speed up the cooking process, I mention it because the meat was dried out on the outside and over char'ed. The dish came with what seemed to be pureed mashed potatoes that tasted good, but mashed potatoes to me should be a bit chunky-er. It also came with green beans, which the menu says are seasoned but mine were not. You could also tell the green beans were either not fresh or from a very poor distributor. Seemed like they were frozen from the grocery store. Last point was that my dish is priced at 13.99, I would say about 2 dollars over priced for what you get. All in all I haven't written off the Greene Turtle. I'll be back but I'll try some of there other more "bar food" that I think they are know for. Two stars for this visit.

Stopped in for a pint (or two) after work. Waitstaff was very friendly and attentive for a busy Friday night. They have several craft beers on tap and it looks like they rotate two or three out frequently. We only had appetizers but they were all fresh for bar food. This is a good place to stop in if you are at Arundel Mills Mall and need a drink to forget how much you spend on clothes.

WTF! This was my second time coming to this place and I was highly disappointed. I decided to go with the chicken cheesesteak, but I regret my decisions. The bread was horrible, dry and crumbly. The chciken was super dry and the worst part was no oinions. It was a dry chicken sandwich with dry bread. I managed to choke it down because I was hungry. I let the manager know what happened and he just looked at me like he had no idea what to do. They gave me like 50 cents off my meal, which I was like why even bother. The first time I went there was great, but I probably will not be going back here ever! They had cute waitresses, so that was alright, if you like that sort of thing, lol.

Not bad... I ususally dont choose major chains to dine at, but I was meeting a friend... and it was in a decent middle spot for us to meet. Easy going and laid back. Nice variety of items on the menu. Seating was quick on a Friday night, even though they had sat like a 15 person party. Very large even has a nice outdoor seating area. My real only gripe was service was super slow. She took our drink orders and then came for our food orders....served our food and took our plates. Never saw her in between. :-( Turkey Burger was tasty Sweet Potato fries... not wonderful Orange Crush made well... did its duty Pretty cheap, easy to get to, decent/not earth moving food, good drinks! Gets 3 because it's original. Nothing Special... but yes I would return.

I've been to a few Greene Turtles in the area, and I like their food. This one is within close proximity to where I work so it makes for a shorter commute and doesn't keep me out of the office longer than I should be, thus keeping the Big Bossman off my back (not the WWF Wrestler, could you imagine working for that guy?) It has a decent selection of your regualr sports bar/restaurant foods (burgers, ribs, chicken tenders etc.) but also throws in different crab cake items and flat bread pizzas. My last visit to the Greene Turtle near Arundel Mills was a great one. Service was fast and friendly, food was delicious, and we had a table with a tv to watch ESPN's Top10 moments of the Week without straining my neck (if you don't have a tv at your table, and care about sports, you will probably be spending your entire time looking up). I ordered the Cowboy Burger (served w/ bbq sauce, cheddar, bacon, lettuce, tomato, and crispy onion strings) with a side of fries. It was delicious. Meat was cooked to my liking, it was juicy and flavorful and had 2 very large sized strips of bacon. I asked them to hold the tomato and they held the tomato for some other tomato loving patron (I'm generous like that) I also had a strawberry lemonade which was quite tasty to wash it all down. All in all the food and service was great! I have only been to this particular Greene Turtle for weekday lunch, so if you can beat the lunch crowd, you are most likely in store for prompt service and fast cooked meals, if not then you'll probably be waiting. But that is to be expected from any place that may be busy.

Just like another yelper wrote, this location is really hard to get too. It takes a while to figure out what access road to get onto just driving to the place. Food: not so great. Nothing all that different from any other sports bar. If you come when a major sporting events is on... welcome to standing room only. There's not a ton of TVs in this place. If you're not a Baltimore fan good luck seeing your team.

The only saving grace behind this particular Green Turtle is the mozerella caprese. I have gone there twice now, thinking that the flatbread pizza I got the first time must have been made by a new chef in the back, but unfortunately the second time I ordered a different flatbread I got something worse. My flatbread looked like someone took ketchup, lathered it on a large piece of bread, threw too much greasy cheese on top and then overcooked it. It was disgusting, and when I tried to send it back I was told that I would still have to pay for it even though I took two bites out of it. Again, the only saving grace is the mozerella caprese. Try that, have a glass of wine and watch TV. That is, if you can get a seat- the wait staff is in severe need of retraining. I was a waitress for almost two years and I would never blatently ignore people the way the hostesses and bar staff do.

Some poor execution here. We waited a while to get seated because there was no one out front, and the place we got was a two-person booth with a TV on the wall, which protruded a bit and was pretty darn intrusive--how could one pleasantly watch a TV that's at a 90 degree angle to you but right in front of your face? The menu looked pretty good. We got the crab dip which came with soft pretzels for dipping--the pretzels didn't really have any salt on them, which is perhaps for the dip's sake but seemed unintentional. The BBQ pizza was unremarkable. The ham sandwich was quite good, but the $2 (!) upgrade to waffle fries was not worth it given there weren't many to speak of. Seriously guys, that's a high margin product I'm paying extra for, give me a ton of 'em. It was pretty expensive in the end, more expensive than the quality would justify. And with the other missteps I would have to recommend avoiding the Greene Turtle.

I had met a friend for lunch here yesterday and we went to the bar... great food, but service was SLOW AS ANYTHING. WHY would they have 1 person working @ 12:30pm (lunch rush) it took 10 min to get are drinks once ordered, and then another 20mins. for our food. Great food, but very slow service. I wouldn't recommend this place for lunch unless you have time to spare. Thanks :)

I really enjoyed greene turtle. I was in Baltimore visiting family. We went out for Thanksgiving dinner and stopped here for a nightcap. The shots we had were ok. The beer was good though. I seen that they had a ton of mugs hanging from the ceiling and found out you could purchase a mug for $40 and leave it there. What a cool idea! I also seen they had some rare beers on tap like 312, arrogant bastard ale and stella. I was impressed. The bill for 3 beers, and 12 shots was over $100 though. Kind of steep. So stick to the specials or just the beer and you will be fine.

I was here the other day for lunch with a few coworkers. I had a soda with a mushroom Swiss burger. It was a good sized burger, cooked the way I like it (medium) was served with a generous portion of fries. It is set up like your typical sport's bar with flat screen televisions tuned into various different sports. This place is clean, spacious and has a good size bar that goes along the backside of the restaurant. Looks like a great place to socialize and mingle after work over a few cold beers and some good bar food. Give it a try.

Apparently, I've been making it a goal to touch all the Green Turtle locations. I dunno why! I came here to treat a friend out for her belated birthday. I do have to say that I was impressed with this place. There are TVs all over the place. Heck, there was a tv in our booth. The Man City and Man United (or whatever) soccer game was on. Yeah, we saw the ending. I had the fish with popcorn shrimp. Man, I was stuffed! I had this huge piece of cod fish, a generous handful of popcorn shrimp and a large heap of fries. Stuffed! I was waddling afterwards. Good waitservice. Clean bathroom. I'll definitely come back. Now, I recall seeing a new Green Turtle in Fairfax. Who wants to join me?

On a Sunday afternoon, you'd expect Greene Turtle to be busy. However, we went after the Ravens game when the general seating area (as opposed to the bar) was actually relatively empty and the service was still horrible. When we first got there, the waiter asked if anyone had helped us and apologized for the wait. Given that we had just sat down, we didn't really understand the apology. Maybe it was forewarning about the rest of the meal though... The waiter did get the manager to change the channel at our table-side TV to the DC United game (the flatscreen TVs are a nice touch!). He brought our drinks pretty quickly, but not before another waiter could come up and ask what we wanted to drink....there seemed to be a lot of confusion about who had what tables. Because our waiter was only in charge of our table in the section we were sitting in, he didn't come by very often. He did refill my boyfriend's lemonade once, but never our water glasses. The food also took FOREVER to get there. Although we asked for the soccer game to be put on, we didn't expect to be there most of the game. Soup, salad, and some wings should not take more than 30 minutes. We got the food all together because our conversation with the waiter on the order of the food was very confusing. The Maryland crab soup and the french onion soup were both fine. Niether was anything special, but the crab soup did have a lot of crab in it and was a nice light option. I was not happy with the house salad, which was not described on the menu. I guess I should've asked but the lettuce-tomato-onion-cucumber combination that I was expecting never came. Instead I got Greene Turtle's version of a trendy, healthy salad - mixed greens, craisins, blue cheese, and pecans. Given that I don't like craisins or blue cheese, I wish I had seen a description of the house salad. The wings that came out were actually totally different from what we ordered - the waiter realized this a few minutes later and offered to switch them out, which we agreed to. We had no idea, however, that switching out the wings would take another 20 minutes. We finished our other food and sat waiting for even more time before the wings finally came out. When they did, they weren't very crispy. They seemed to have a lot of moist breading and fat instead of well-flavored chicken. The last straw was the time it took to get the bill - another twenty minutes. Overall, Greene Turtle really disappointed on Sunday (when you'd think they'd want their best employees working to deal with the rush). Next time we'll try Buffalo Wild Wings instead!

I've been going to the Greene Turtle since I was a kid. I think the two best locations are in uptown Ocean City, Maryland and Towson. The food is typical pub fare. It's ok. There are some things that are pretty good, but you don't go to a Greene Turtle for the food. You go for the environment because it's a great place to meet up with friends for a drink and watch a Ravens game.

This is usually some place I would visit later in the day. Found it to be quite a popular place for lunch and I'm not surprised since the prices are great and they have a larger menu than I expected. The Grilled Chicken Wrap had fresh chunks of chicken with little parts of yummy skin. Maybe a little too many cranberries but enjoyed the chunks of avocado. Couldn't have asked for fresher chips! Wouldn't order this again but would def try the Combo Basket next time.

This place is pretty easy to miss, unless you frequent the Arundel Mills Mall area. This is one of the few chain restaurants that I actually like, which is good because it's so close to my job. I usually make a meal out of these appetizers - Buffalo Chicken Dip: so good. It's just enough hot sauce, bleu cheese chunks, and hunks of chicken. Served with flaky fried flatbread and celery sticks, this is usually enough of a meal for me. A less messy version of the "kinda hot" Bone-in Buffalo Wings. BBQ Chicken Flatbread Pizza: toppings (seasoned chicken chunks, bacon, onions) piled high and spread wide on such a thin, crisp crust. The BBQ sauce is good, but the cheddar jack cheese sets it off. Every now and then, I'll get an entrée. bviously, I'm a fan of all things flatbread here and the Raspberry Turkey Flatbread is no different. It reminds me of cranberry sauce and turkey, only better...MUCH better. The turkey has jerk seasoning, which gives it a different taste -- unlike your average cold cut. Outdoor seating is an option.

I had a decent experience at the Greene Turtle. I will say this much: this place is DEFINITELY not GPS-friendly. When I put the address in my GPS, it originally led me to a building that was behind the Greene Turtle. You might have a time getting into the parking lot of the Greene Turtle if you're not careful. My friend who I had went with made reservations, so we were seated once we came in. We went on the day that the Canadiens played the Capitals (cue the violins.) Our waitress was not bad at all, but it took her some time to obtain our orders after we initially needed more time. I don't think we needed another 15 minutes more time to figure out what we wanted. I do like the mini TVs that were at every table. My table was watching the Miami Heat play the Boston Celtics in the NBA playoffs. I ordered the Terrapin steak, which was cooked pretty well (I got the steak medium well done). I can't say the same for the mixed vegetables, which was as dry as uncooked oatmeal. The mashed potatoes were OK. There was one thing that made my night at the Greene Turtle memorable: the Capitals winning in overtime over the Canadiens. I'm glad I wasn't at the Greene Turtle for game 7; I think I would have given this place 1 star. Just kidding.

I had a very nice experience. We had the Tuna summer special and it was very nicely prepared and tasty. Our waitress was cute and peppy, and attentive. A manager checked in at the end of the meal to make sure we were happy - I like that. I would go back. Only strange thing is they made all the staff wear these weird bags on their back that they were trying to sell. It looked very strange like they were all ready to go home or something. I thought it was weird.

Call an ambulance. My neck is stuck from staring at the TV's while siting at the bar. Talk about bad placement... Or maybe that is just a ploy to get people to drink more so they won't feel the pain in your neck. So is it a clever ploy to push booz or just piss poor planning? You decide. Aside from the neck injury it isn't half bad. Plenty of cocktail tables around the bar as well as ouside bar seating. They seem to have replaced the three blonde bartenders from last summer that barely did the combined work of one real bartender with two hard working and efficient bartenders that knew their stuff. So the service at the bar was fairly good and I didn't have to flag anyone down for refills. As for the food hard to say. I went with the Spicy stuffed jack burger and it was fairly good. I would have liked to have it cooked my way but I'm not certain that they didn't offer that because it was a stuffed burger or because they just don't offer that. Aside from that it was plenty spicy and hit the spot. Definitely a dude hang out as they 9 out of 10 customers were guys. So that just caused them to flock to the few girls there and there was one surrounded by 8 guys fighting for her attention. I'm not really certain what was funnier about that situation. The posers trying to one up for her attention or the fact that the one girl had a fresh tatt on her neck that said "F#@k off, you ain't getting any". No joke. It was quite the site and certainly plenty of entertainment for those of us sitting at the bar.

The Greene Turtle only has to do two things: (1) Be a sports bar (2) Serve decent food and beer I don't give a rodent's patootie about the first, really - I'm not a sports guy. But they do make good bar food, and have a reasonable if not earth shattering beer selection. Let me mention one particular menu item - the Boom Boom burger. I will state for the record that I ate this. But, also for the record, I believe that just because you *can* do something (lightly batter and deep fry a burger and put spicy cheez sauce on it) that doesn't necessarily mean you *should* do that thing. Aside from the above mentioned culinary abomination, they have a good selection of burgers, cheese steaks, and sandwiches. The wings, apparently, are also decent. I'm sure I'll be back, as it's convenient to work, and will report in if that last burger doesn't end up killing me first.

It's a sports bar. It's a restaurant. It's a Friday's on a smaller scale. Team memorabilia from the O's, the Ravens, the Terps. TV's on the walls. TV's over the bar. TV's in the booths. Burgers. Fries. Wings. Wraps. Beer. It's convenient - my office is across the parking lot. The burgers are OK, and sometimes that's all I want. Service has got better since opening.

Above average bar food and weak drink pours. I think this turtle is a perfectly fine spot to grab lunch or dinner and put down a few draft beers which are fairly priced and often on special. I would never get a mixed drink due to the aforementioned lack of strength. I also would never sit at the bar if you want to see a game. The bar TV set up is disgraceful as the TV's are at such a poor viewing angle that they might as well be in the ceiling directly above you. Your neck will definitely thank me for this advice.

Fun to be with a son of a gun ;)

It's good at what it is: being a sports bar. The prices are better than some other places but still a little steep. Fun place to watch a game but is noisier than it needs to be when there are no big games on.

Great service, but unfortunately, I found not ONE, not TWO, but THREE..short dark hairs in my salad! I was so grossed out! I even tried to get past finding one, because I know it happens but TWO and THREE hairs in unaccepatable. THe server was very apologetic and took the salad off my bill.

The SO and I went here for dinner this evening because we discovered the place where we really wanted to dine is closed on Sundays. I wouldn't say I hate the Green Turtle. But there's never really a reason to go there unless I know other people who are going. It's your average bar fare with a premium price for all the TVs. If you're going to watch a game, then it's an ok place to go. But I just don't see any other reason to go. The serving sizes are normal for a sports bar. Meaning that you get a fair amount of food. My SO and I split the Buffalo Chicken Dip appetizer and the Crab Cake entree. The one appetizer and one entree was more than enough food for two people.

So, yeah...what can you say about a place like this? Well...ummmm I thought they only existed in airports so that was a surprise. I am still not sure why you would close the kitchen TWO WHOLE HOURS before you do last call. I dunno about anyone else but I get hungry when I drink. The best thing about this place is that the price of the cocktails is on the menu and they aren't terribly stingy with the liquor, I don't think I will ever have cause to return

I guess 2.5 stars is fair. Ive been to this location a few times. It always seems to be crowded. Maybe its the 600 big screen TVs that hang from the ceiling. Yea, the ceiling. Its a little odd and your neck may hurt for awhile.... So the service here is OK. Not great, not bad, just OK. The food is what you SHOULD expect it to be. Typical bar fare, fried, blah blah blah. And oh yeah, its a shame that with the stigma of Maryland having "good" crab cakes, this place is like most others............it FAILS! I'm pretty sure the best crab cakes are made in my kitchen and no, you cant come over! All in all this is an OK place to grab some bar food and a couple of beers. Far from cheap as any Green Turtle is. My favorite is still the location in OC MD.

TV anyone? Ambiance definitely gets a 4.5! Unfortunately the food is meh. Come here when you want tv overload and you have multiple games to watch :) DONT GET THE SMOTHERED CHICKEN. PLEASE DONT. I have taken one for the team -- NOT WORTH your stomach hurting! Fish and chips is ordinary too. Don't expect anything vonderful... good company and good TV makes a good meal!

Inedible. Don't go unless you have no other choice. Buns are gross. Flat beer. They pad the dishes with way too many fries. Lots of TVs which is nice if you do not want to talk. I assume its pretty typical of this region which seems to be a culinary and cultural wasteland.

The Green Turtle dosen't try to be something it's not, and I like that about it. It's a regular sports bar with regular sports bar food. Howeverrr it gets an extra star because when I walked in I saw booths with their very own T.V's so I could watch whatever game I wanted, Furthermore, the hostess gave me a sheet of paper listing every game that day, what time it was playing, and what channel I could find it on. I suppose I could have just asked the waitress, but it was thoughful that they printed it out for you. I just got a beer, and it was ice cold =) The only thing is that even though the place was somewhat empty, I got placed in the table by the door...in March..in Maryland... It was REALLY cold and windy, and with a bunch of open tables, I was kinda thrown off by trying to put us at that one.

I ordered buffalo wings. The local price for about 12 wings is about a dollar a wing. This is pricey for me but I paid for it anyway. The wings tasted fine and had good flavor. Not too spicy and they weren't drowned in sauce. They came with plenty of celery and ranch. So for people that are big on Buffalo Wings this is the place to go because you get plenty of chicken wings along with sides without extra charges. The reason for the three star is that the Hostest was not that informative; the house was open but nobodies home. I was asking for simple information like the days special and she kept saying "the regular items," like I work there. I had no idea what the regular items were so I said like what? She replied like the happy hour items, drinks and appetizers. I continued to ask what are the special prices because every place is different. She had to walk away to get more information on the pricing. In the end there was no special and I was left looking through the menu to figure things out for my self. I ordered my food and I didn't leave her a tip because as a hostest at a sports bar these questions should not be as hard as the ASVAB. The place looks great and I look forward to trying it again and getting my food directly from the bar. UPDATE: AUGUST 2012 After making an order to go at the host stand. I spoke with a man that seemed like the manager about why they don't have their buffalo wings with the appetizer special, ad why don't they have a buffalo wing night. The guy said because their wings are the best in town that they don't have to put them on sale. I thought to my self even buffalo wild wings does a wing night for .50 cents a wing. It just goes to show you that these guys think that they are the best and instead of thanking the community by offering a wing night to celebrate it, they would rather charge you more and take your money because your going to pay for it anyways. By the way this guy told me people are going to pay their prices anyway. With that said I took my order and never returned since. I would rather eat cheep chicken wings from a place that knows how to sell food than a place that is going to over charge me just because they think they are the best. This is why I have drop this restaurant from a 3 star to a 1 star.

The Greene Turtle is a fairly typical sports bar / happy hour / hang out and have some beers type of place. Decent drink selection, tons of televisions, and friendly servers. The food, however, isn't very good. The burgers are typically bland and overcooked, and expect to find lots of cheese and oil across the menu. It's fairly uninspired bar food. The one highlight, however, is the availability of steamed shrimp (available in 1/2 or 1 pound portions, seasoned with Old Bay, natch) on the appetizer menu. A little pricey compared to the other stuff on there, but worth it. I'm dieting and prefer to save my calories for alcohol, thank you very much. This location is a little hard to get to. There's no entrance directly from Arundel Mills Boulevard, you first have to get on to Ridge Road (Route 713) and then on to Teague Road. You enter from the back of the development. There is plenty of parking available, especially after-hours when the neighboring businesses are closed.

This Greene Turtle is in a business park across the street from Arundel Mills mall. It's kinda a strange location, but that seems to be a trend - put bars near office buildings. I get the appeal. I've been here a couple times for a luncheon and happy hours, and eh.. it's decent to drink. Our waitress was attentive and quick to come back with our beverages. After a few drinks I was pretty hungry, so I ordered a chicken quesadilla to go. I never really thought you could screw up a chicken quesadilla...but this one was the worst I've had. Not enough stuff in side at all; it was super thin and just not tasty! They didn't even give me any sour cream. Who eats a qdilla without sour cream? Really poor execution. I won't be back on my own account. Definetly done with Greene Turtle's in general.

Super slow service, but great bartenders! Sit at the bar and have 3 Olives Loopy ... it will make you forget all the time you waste. By the way, it's never the servers fault the food sucks! But it was alright when we got it!

Terrible service and mediocre food. We had ordered an appetizer of cheese fries and drinks. We got both and finished them BEFORE we even ordered. Our server never came back to the table and we're sitting there with the menus still. It was a 2 person booth, so with 2 empty glasses, empty fries basket and 2 menus, we were crowded. I got a manager and he came to take our order. Our server still never came back to say he was sorry or to refill our drinks. The manager brought new drinks and the food. I asked them to remove all the empty dishes before receiving full plates of food. The server just came back at the end to say he'd give us some dessert. Well, we didn't want any dessert. The bill had the cheese fries deducted. We left $0 for a tip. As we got into our car, the manager came running out to give us $10 in coupons. I told him we were not from the state of Maryland and he said they were 'good at any Greene Turtle'. Well, upon looking at coupon, it stated 'Only good at the Greene Turtle in Hanover, MD'. So we gave them to a group of people that were walking inside to eat. We will never go back to this place because of their inept servers.

Service was horrible!! Would rate no stars but had to select one. So here's the breakdown, my 2 friends and I arrive and sit at a booth. It takes the waiter 25 minutes to finally take our drink order...we each ordered a beer, and then my 2 friends each ordered an appetizer and an entree. Figured I would order my entree when I got my beer. We finally get our beers after another 10-12 minutes and then one friend gets his appetizer, which they brought the wrong thing, and then other friend gets his entree (before his appetizer) which was wrong as well.... So I ask to have it corrected, in which the right plates were brought out after another 10-15 minutes. But then my friend's entree never came out. So when we asked the waiter, he had the audacity to tell us my friend never ordered an entree. So then I had to speak to the manager, which after I explained everything said he would take care of it and would bring us another round of beers. About 30 minutes later, the waiter brings us a check...which was for a different table seeing how we didn't order anything remotely similar to what was on the check. So he had to bring us a different check in which the manager had only competed the food and not the beers. Whatever, we just wanted to leave. However, when we tried to pay, he ended mixing up the different beers and charged me $18 bucks for 2 beers...Are you freaking kidding me!? Then the waiter tried to say why don't each of you just pay $10 and he'll pay the rest. I said uh no...you're going to bring the manager over here again.... I finally said forget it and left. I was fed up because they couldn't get s*** right... Will never go back....ever!

My fiancee and I decided to try out the Greene Turtle for the first time after seeing a movie at Arundel Mills. The location is great because it's right across the street from mall. We went during happy hour which is 3-7 pm and were able to get $5 appetizers. The two apps we got were the loaded waffle fries and the crab pizza flat bread. Both appetizers were very good, but the crab flatbread pizza was very good and we almost got another one. Both apps were well worth the $5. For entrees, I got bacon and cheddar stuffed burger and my fiancee got the turkey burger. Both burgers were ok, but nothing special. I probably would not get a burger next time and try something else. The service was really good and our waitress was very attentive and came to the table numerous times to see if we needed anything. Towards the end of our meal, the manager even came over to ask our meal was. Overall, we liked the Greene Turtle and would go again, but we would try something other than the burgers.

SLOWEST SERVICE EVER. She wasn't overwhelmed. She wasn't busy at all & she didn't seem new. She just wasn't at our table, or even anywhere we could see her. Ever. We were a party of 3, eating & having a few drinks & dinner before going to watch a movie. After waiting an extraordinarily long time to get our menus and then again to get our drink orders taken, the guys ordered beer & I ordered a Bacardi & Coke. She asked if I wanted a double, which I assumed meant that she would charge me for a double and give me a double shot of rum. It seems that a "double" just means double Coke at The Green Turtle, along with the double price. It was the weakest "double" I have ever had. I mentioned that it was my brother's birthday at least twice, but there was no response from our zero-personality waitress. No offer of a drink, dessert or even a "Happy Birthday". My food was nearly inedible. Cold sliders, no dressing, smashed buns that were still stuck together. Yuck. The guys said theirs was ok, but they eat fast food and frozen pizza. . We finally saw our server & asked for our check with plenty of time to get to our movie, but she took so long that we missed it. We decided to have another round of drinks while we waited for the next movie to start, but asked her to close us our right away. We LITERALLY never saw her again. My friend had to go up to the bar to pay our tab. If I had seen her running around, busy, I would understand, but she only had one more table, and they got the same crappy service we did. Other servers stood around having personal conversations while we looked in vain for our waitress. They weren't busy either, but they were no help. AVOID!

The food is decent. The food is as good as any other plain chainstore American bar and grill.(Chillis, Fridays, etc.) I am a fan of the sweet potatoe fries. I ate the veggie wrap is was mediocre at best. French fries where not bad. The place is basically my football game stop when I cannot watch my beloved Steelers on the tube at home.

OK, so Hanover MD is not the coolest place for happy hours....however, being that I work around here, I will sometimes frequent these just A-OK places. I've been to Damons for happy hour, which is pretty dead, and while Dave and Busters have a great happy hour deal, the crowd is not all that. And Fridays is alright, but it's just that, Fridays... I have not been to all of the bars in the area for happy hour, but I'd have to say out of all of them, this one had the most decent crowd. And I mean decent crowd compared to OTHER HANOVER BARS, not to DC/etc. Even Annapolis has better crowds in some not so great bars.... I have not tried the food there, so sorry! This is a strictly happy hour review..however, I can say that I have eaten at the Green Turtle, but not at the one in Hanover. I would guess it being a chain, it would have similar food, so as far as that goes, I would have to say that their food is pretty good as well. If you happen to be in the area, this is probably your best bet for good food and a good happy hour crowd.

Good crab cake for this kind of place. Decent drinks. Tried to veer from my usual crab cake and got a burger and was disappointed. Service is usually slow so don't go if your in a rush.

Ask for it!

New to Maryland and heard the crab cakes at the Greene Turtle were amazing. I took my wife here for dinner a few weeks ago and the crab cakes taste like soap. Our waiter was very inattentive and uncaring. The whole experience was so disappointing, neither of us finished our meals.

They have a very good selection of beers on tap. Quite extensive. In addition to drinks, we got the flat bread pizza, which was very good. Good place for drinks and appetizers.

Not a fan. Generic sports bar, bad food.

I Have been to Green Turtle at many places one of my Favourite is in Germantown, but this one is just ok, nothing great aboutit had my usual Pork ribs and coudnt say that this was my best GT coz had better ones, and the service is meahhhh, I will go once in a while for a change with friends to hang out in the patio, coz they have a nice patio........

Really enjoy the place. Love their unsweetened raspberry iced tea. Service was great. Only complaint was the seasoning on the turkey....a bit much!

Great customer service and Katie, my waitress, was super patient with me. Ham and cheese sandwich is DELICIOUS! Ham, bacon, 2 cheeses, bacon, mustard and GREEN APPLES... Perfect sandwich!! A must try!

  • Twinkie T.
