Pizza
Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.
Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.
Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Whether you prefer thin or thick crust pizza, you can find a pizza of your preference at the best pizza restaurants in your city.

It's the closest thing to NY style I've found in the area. Definitely the best go-to for a quick slice or two of pizza. Prices can't be beat! I recommend the triboro, buffalo chicken, & the white pizza (I think it is called something else though).

Flippin' Pizza has an interesting menu, especially the gluten free pizza. However, the pizza does not live up the menu. The gluten free pizza wasn't that good. It wasn't bad but it lacked texture and overall taste. I do give them props for offering these options. My friend had the regular pizza with pepperoni. His opinion was that "it is average pizza." I also give this place some props for the prices and the specials. Overall I would give Flippin another shot.

Honestly, the pizza here is flimsy " literally". It's a thin crust pizza with average sauce, cheese and toppings. Their pepperonis were awesome when they first opened. That was then. They need to start cooking in a brick oven or add different toppings to give some character to their food. I do not feel like its worth the money even when I get their 2 slice and soda combo for lunch

This place is great..I work in the mall and Since I work by myself its hard to get lunch..and Their fast delivery and fresh pizza is always on point..Price is good..ingredients are fresh..Guys delivering have good service also.

This is my and my boyfriend's favorite quick pizza spot! The staff is always so low-key, friendly, and makes you feel at home. They have the best deals, and the large preset pies are amazing too! I am a vegetarian, my boyfriend is not. Check them out!

I went on a Tuesday and ordered the BOGO 18" pie special (between 4pm-7pm). Staff is okay. I didn't find them rude, but didn't think the guy at the front was great at his job, not very communicative. I ordered the Brooklyn red pie and the Tomato Basil white pizza to go. Unfortunately I failed to check the pizza before leaving, because when I got home I saw the Tomato Basil turned out to just be Tomato. It still tasted fine, but if they had run out of basil, they should've at least made a note and told me when I picked them up. The pizzas themselves are large NY slices, very thin crust, light on the sauce, good amount of cheese (not too little, but not so much it's stringy). I liked both choices I got. The Brooklyn pie has small rounds of pepperoni with flat slices of meatballs and mushrooms, making it easy for every slice to have at least a few slices of meat. The Tomato pizza, although sauceless, wasn't dry since it was balanced by the slices of juicy tomato on top. Strong garlic flavor, which I liked, and not thick and cheesy as you might expect from a sauceless pizza. Although thin, their hand-tossed dough doesn't really crisp up super crunchy, so texture is so-so for the thinness, but taste-wise it's not bad (someone else mentioned it was like cardboard, I didn't find that at all in terms of taste). I agree with the other review that said they don't look very appealing once the pizzas cool down. I found that true for the Brooklyn one, but it regains its color and still tastes great after reheating your leftovers following the box directions (preheat at 450°, but don't leave it in too long or the cheese will burn and turn hard). Overall, I think this place isn't bad, just on the expensive side. It's close to where I live, so for me it's a good alternative when I don't want the greasiness of Pizza Hut and Domino's. And I feel like they put just the right amount of sauce. I don't like a thick layer of red sauce, and theirs is thin, so the crust doesn't get soggy. This might be a plus or a con, depending on your preference. Their menu also has good options for vegetarians.

GREAT pizza. Nothing like Dominos or Pizza Hut - this is authentic, hand made and delicious. You can always tell when the pizza is high quality when the bottom is just crisp enough without drying out the whole thing. These guys are on point. I HIGHLY recommend the Whitestone pizza -- Ricotta and pizza are a match made in heaven!!! PRO TIP!!!!! Go on Mondays or Tuesdays between 4:00pm and 7:00pm for buy one pie get one free. Can't beat it.

Stopped for a slice of pizza. A bug crawled out from under my it when I picked it up. Their solution was to offer me another slice from the same pizza!! Ugh. One would think they would either offer a refund or at least make me something fresh. Not even an apology. And they left the rest of the pie in the warmer!!!! Wow. Disgusting.... First and last visit.
(1)Angel M.
Stopped in yesterday for a slice . $3.00 bucks for the smallest slice of pepperoni pizza that had 2 little round pieces of pepperoni on it . Barely any sauce and barely heated up . The average pie has 8 slices so they make $ 24.00 on a pie ? Really ? I wouldn't mind if it was a decent size slice but I think they must get 9-10 slices out of a pie. On a good note and why I gave 2 stars was the crust which was very good. Won't be going back again though, just too many great places to eat around here . Greedy owners - feeling ripped off .

I have now visited this location on 3 or 4 different occasions. My last visit, a Tuesday night where they offer a BOGO deal on pizzas, they were totally swamped. I was told 25 minutes for my two pizzas. I decided to wait it out. As I watched, it was clear why it would take 25 minutes. They were severely understaffed. Only employee was in the store. He was making pizzas, answering phones, manning the cash register, pretty much doing it all. A pizza deliverer stopped in for a few minutes, but quickly had to leave for a delivery. I'd suggest calling in your order and coming in 5 or 10 minutes after they estimate. And I noticed they try to promote their pizza as a healthier alternative. That might be somewhat true with the white pizzas, but I have a hard time believing it with the others. Grease literally dripped off of every slice.

I've been ordering from Flippin pizza occasionally over the last year. Not all their pizzas are bad, but I've had a bad experience the past few times. Last week, we ordered, they delivered the pizza, but half the cheese had slid off the pizza. We called, they offered to make another, we declined and asked for a credit for next week. This week, we made the same order, reminded them of the credit, they confirmed our address and said 25-30 minutes for delivery. 40 minutes later, we called just to check on it, they said it was sitting on the shelf waiting for us to come get it....? It's not the first time that they failed to put the order in as delivery and I had to go pick it up. I drove down there, picked up the pizza and didn't check it. Other places like 3 brothers and Ledo's will often show you the pizza when you pick it up to make sure it's right. Flippin just handed me the box, no discussion or even apology for me having to pick up a pizza that should have been delivered, or for the last pizza that was screwed up. He asked me if I wanted any cheese or peppers, he handed me the cheese and I walked out. It wasn't until I got home that I realized the pizza was burnt, and had gotten cold from sitting so long on their shelf. I live right down the street, so it wasn't a long drive. It's unlikely that I will order from them again.
(2)Rebekah S.
I used to love this pizza. Sad to say though that tonight was the second (and last) time we've gone home with the wrong pizza and had to go back. Once, I get it. People make mistakes. It happens. Twice, your staff sucks. I can get an $18 pizza anywhere.
(2)Lawrence K.
first off, if you really do not care what your pizza tastes like, then this is the place for you. additionally, tables filthy as a result of self clearing and no staff wipes anything down. Service slow and disinterested.
(1)Elaine H.
This is a great pizza place. Thin, crispy and delicious. There pizza pies are huge and I have never ordered anything that disappointed my family.
(5)Darrell K.
This is the reason I'm on Yelp. You guys got me here, otherwise, I probably would have never heard or tried it. It's a small place with a walk up counter. They are very prompt and friendly. I ordered two slices ($6 get you that and a fountain drink) and by the time I got seated, my pizza was already reheated. Thin and crispy is my favorite type of pizza and this is definitely in that category. When I was in NYC, I tried multiple NY style pizza and like it. Their pizza was more floppy and could fold easy. This was not the case here, but I stress I like my crust crispy. The meat toppings were perfectly cooked, just a teeny burnt on the edges. Great. What kind of disappointed me was the flavor of the sauce. I could barely taste anything. I would come back, but after eating pizza all over this country and in Italy, Rome and Naples (where pizza was invented), this is not the best. It could have been better with a tastier sauce.
(3)Ma-e M.
You got to be flipping me. It's really good deal 2 slices of gourmet pizzas with soda at $6. Who can't compete with that? At this price, this is a real good value for lunch option. I tried Whitestone which is a white pizza and Tomato and Basil with big tomato on a slice.
(4)Morgan C.
I went for lunch to take advantage of the $3.79 two slices and drink lunch special. This is located near a Safeway (major landmark) and next to a Panera and Starbucks. The place is smallish with a number of tables and a 'bar' for dining in. The drink machine is tucked in the back of the restaurant kind of out of the way. You can choose from any kind of pizza you want for your lunch special slices, and luckily they had the two types I wanted available (Brooklyn and Tomato/Basil/Garlic.) The pizza is a decent sized slice, and nice and flat (as you'd expect from NY style). The crust was crunchier than I'd expected, but was very good. The pizza toppings were great. The thing they did really well was garlic. I just love garlic and they don't skimp. Now in my opinion it's not overwhelming, but the garlic is definitely VERY present. Just delicious. I went for lunch, and am grabbing two pies to take home for dinner (it's buy one get one free from 4pm to close). So yeah, it's tasty!
(4)Jennifer Q.
I'm not sire if they are good or not even though I already tried few times Matter of fact, I.do crave them once in awhile
(4)Antonio C.
Ordered a plain cheese pizza and it was delicious. Very well priced for the area. Large cheese pizza and three drinks for just over$16. I'd definitely give this place a try. Staff was very friendly and service was quick.
(4)David C.
I am no pizza snob but this place has really good pizza. Having to wait sometimes for pizza to be finished cooking is a good sign to me. It just means I have to wait for it to cool before I burn my mouth on the hot cheesy thin crust goodness that is a Flippin' Pizza slice. The 2 slices and drink deal is awesome and I will always get that if not getting a whole pie to take home. I like the Whitestone the best but the other non meat options are pretty good too. If I am near Arundel Mills and want to sit down and eat some pizza I come here. You should check it out if you haven't already.

I hate to do it, but I have to deduct a star after tonight's experience. I'd actually deduct a star and a half if I could, but it doesn't work that way, so I'm being generous. This is the first time we have placed a delivery order from them, but I think it will also be the last. It is a Friday night, so I expected it to take a while. I think 45 minutes would be a reasonable amount of time. So, an hour and a half after placing our order, it wasn't here, and I hadn't heard anything. I called and was put on hold immediately. After waiting on hold for a few minutes, the delivery guy showed up. He told my husband he's the only delivery driver tonight. I don't know if that's the norm, but what it equates to is pizza that needs reheating and two people who were about to chew their arms off. I feel that the appropriate thing to do would have been for them to either include the expected delivery time in the confirmation email or to call and let us know that they only have one driver and that it would take over an hour for delivery. Update: Deducting another star. My husband got us a few slices of pizza from here to go recently. They were overcooked and not fresh at all. So, my only good experience here was my first one. I'm definitely done with Flippin' Pizza.

What a joke. Ordered delivery last week with another guy at work. We chose it because it was simple, nearby and had gluten-free. I'm allergic to wheat so it sounded great. We get the food and it was absolutely pathetic. First, my buffalo chicken pizza was no where close to worth $12. Barely any chicken, no sauce, and the dough was eh. The calzone we also ordered had barely any cheese in it! Coming from New Jersey, I know calzones. This was a pathetic attempt. They skimp on the sauce and cheese, but here's the real kicker. I GOT SICK. The dough may have been gluten free, but I guarantee you they rolled it out of regular flour. I was sick the rest of the night because of this "gluten free" pizza. Stay away if you want any semblance of good or gluten-free food.
(1)Marcus M.
Delicious, crispy, thin crust makes the foundation for fresh ingredients and mouth watering sauces that make a slice of this pizza a no-brainer over bigger name pizza. The Brooklyn is a favorite in our house, but we haven't been disappointed yet. As of this writing, the Hanover location offers buy one get one free on Monday and Tuesday nights on whole pies.
(5)Kim P.
Pizza is readily available and it's always fresh and delicious. They handmake the pizza. The staff are for the most part friendly and you can sit in or take out. It's always clean and they have free refills on drinks. Love this place.
(5)Nichele K.
My first time here. I got the 2 slice and a soda deal for $6. Nice thin crust pizza but it doesn't seem like NY . They had a variety of slices to choose from. I'll be back to try the buffalo chicken pizza. The place is clean and the staff polite
(3)Adiyba A.
Well the pizza prob is good when it's hot. I ordered delivery and it's about 6 miles away and the pizza was cold. I reheated it and it was pretty good but a little dry. Thin crust doesn't have to be dry. If I eat here again it will be in the store. Disaapointed for $15 for a large cheese pizza. Should have just ordered Pizza Hut and been safe.
(3)Garvin C.
This is a nice place with ny style pizza. I like that they sell by the slice, and they rehead their pizza in the oven just like in NYC. From time of order to eating was very quick ... maybe 5 minutes or so. Their lunch specials are a good deal (2 slices of pizza and drink for $6). I had a slice of the brooklyn and a slice of cheese. The brooklyn had a little too much garlic for me, but that's a personal preference. The cheese pizza was very good. My only real complaint about the pizza is I wished the pizza crust was slightly more chewy. But overall it was very good. Also, it would be nice if their drink selection was larger. I'm really happy there is NY style pizza nearby. It's great for a fast, good value meal.
(3)Jay O.
Don't get me wrong - I really like the pizza here, but the service is worse of any place i can think of...! I recently tried getting one slice of cheese pizza - it's on the board a $1 a slice. I was charged $2.40 something and left my loose change as tip. No big deal on the overcharge; I was in a hurry. I didn't get a receipt and they didn't ask for my name. There was 12-15 other people standing-waiting for their pizza in the cramp quarters . How was I suppose to know when the slice of cheese for me was ready? they were just calling what the order is not who it was for. After two orders called - i just walked out. Won't Go Back - Ever. The wait, dealing with the poor ordering set up, and unhelpful staff isn't worth it for me. I had 2 similar experiences prior to my last and final visit.

I received a text asking me is i wanted flippin pizza. As to not jump the gun, I inquired what flippin pizza was. My fiances response was merely "Pizza" to which I responded "Nah I'm good". Not realizing that "Flippin" was part of the actual name. That evening my fiance say the pizza was better that my favorite pizza place in Hanover. I was like "What?!?!?!" . It pains me to say that he was RIGHT! Flippin Pizza is located 2 doors down from Coldstone (so you all know I went there afterwords for desert). Upon entering the door there is a NY vibe especially with the authentic NY scene picture hanging throughout the place. Behind the glass casing is a variety of their specialty pizza all of which look tasty. This trip I tried the Triboro pizza. When the pizza came out i know i was in for a treat. The pizza was cooked perfect. The crust, perfect. The sauce, perfect. The cheese, perfect. The taste, EXCEPTIONAL! My overall experience can simply be ex[lained as this; It was like they took Mama Lucia's NY style and said "Let me upgrade you" and presto, bada bing, bado boom, we have Flippin' Pizza. To put icing on the cake, the have $1 pizza on Mondays and Tuesdays :) Mnmmmmm Hmmmmmm Good!
(5)Steven D.
Flippin' Pizza is one of the best pizza place in the aria that serve amazing NY style pizza. I highly recommend trying their garlic knots, the Brooklyn pizza, and the Buffalo Chicken pizza. The staff treat you friendly and inviting as if you family.
(4)Brian H.
Came here on Yelp reviews. This is NOT gourmet pizza, but that's ok! Simple, true to form NY pizza that'll hit the spot & leave some green in your wallet. My only complaint?; some suds to wash it down with! ;) I'd come again!
(4)Shari D.
Great fresh pizza. Slightly under seasoned on the tomato basil but easily fixed. Simple menu, mostly clean, good service.
(4)Toya D.
*PICS* Flippin' Pizza is...Flippin' Sweet! It's hard finding really good pizza parlor pizza. Even some of the grocery store brands top what's out there now. How sad. Luckily, Flippin' Pizza has changed all of that. Their New York-style pizza is totally awesome. Its a cross between pan and thin crust; not too thick and not too thin. It's just enough dough, without being too doughy -- but not enough to fill you up before you get to the good part. It helps that they're not stingy with the toppings, too. Even better, they have great deals! I take advantage of their $6.00 "every day deal" (two slices & a drink). There's also a $3.00 one slice and a drink every day deal, which is great for kids who can't tackle 2 of those 18" slices. You can't beat that -- especially with those huge slices. Non-pizza stuff: garlic knots, calzones, salads and whatever other creations they come up with (which are usually only available at this location)
(5)Sierra S.
I was at a friend's house and was offered a slice of "Flippin' Pizza." I had no idea that was the name of the pizza place. I must say that this is some darn good pizza. Just found that they deliver within 5miles! Super!!
(4)Marc R.
If you gave this place 3 stars or less...you should probably end your life now. Chances are you are the biggest grouch, and nitpicky about everything...and I'm assuming people don't like you that much. Perhaps a little bit of therapy could do you some good...find out why you are who you are. I'm serious. Seek help...and if you gave it ONE STAR, you're destined to die a miserable death, alone. I just dropped $6 on two pieces of delicious pizza and a drink. The crust was thin and crispy. The sauce is delicious and the meats were spread evenly and filled each bite. I will go there, again...and again...because I don't think so highly of myself that a place with great prices and delicious food has to conform to my F'd up tastes. I take food for what it is and I cherish it. Sorry if I was a bit harsh to the haters...but I guarantee if you look at their other reviews, you'll see a lot of negativity and reasons to hate that person in general. Peace! Flippin Pizza ROCKS!!!
(5)Grecia O.
They are nice, the pizza is always fresh and the delivery is pretty quick (considering we live across the street). Might I recommend adding dessert to the menu?
(4)Pete I.
Pizza is really good. I was raised in the NYC area and finding good pizza in Maryland is tough. Flippin pizza is by far the best in the area. Only problem is lately when I call to order a pizza no one picks up the phone. This is the third time in a row I have called and no answer.....wth?
(4)Tim H.
I go here for the fast lunch special of 2 slices and a drink. The pizza is always good the staff is always nice. If you are in a rush and want some pizza by the slice, this is the place to hit. There is limited seating so if you want to stay to enjoy your pizza, get there before the lunch rush or go after. Either way, you'll be happy to have had a slice or two. Thanks for reading my review. This review is based off of my personal experience and opinion.
(3)S C.
Got a slice of white pizza and cheese pizza. Cheese pizza was dripping grease. Not impressed.
(2)Janon J.
I give this place a 5 with no hesitation. Their New York style pizza is the best I have had in this area. No artificial flavors, crispy thin crust, scrumptious fresh toppings make this one delicious pie.
(5)Jane L.
Thin, crispy crust with the perfect portions of sauce, cheese and pepperoni. Excellent service with a mission to please. Highly recommend.
(5)Jon W.
Let me tell you... If your looking for a NY Pizza that's crispy and has just the right amount of toppings AND @ a great price! It's now one of my lunch-time go-to places... Staff is pretty helpful too... Thanks Flipping Pizza!!!!!
(4)Joe K.
Like my peers, Flippin' Pizza get's a whole 5 stars. Why you may ask??! All because of their excellent lunch special, for less than $4, from Monday to Wednesday 11am until 4pm, 2 slices ( from any pie) and a drink! Pie's here are modeled after NY style thinness and are generally dressed in popular pizza styles, like their Buffalo Chicken Pie , with large pieces of white breast chicken, likely tossed in Frank's Red Hot and served on a slice. As for the size of the slice, it is a lot smaller than a normal NY slice, but you will have two to make up for the loss :-). The pizza sauce isn't the best, seems kind of like a canned tomato sauce, it's not bad but i did notice that. Cheese, Pepperoni, Tomato and Cheese, Buffalo Pizza and a few others are for sale, and there is likely something for everyone. The decor is pretty modern, seating with half booth and tables, and a upper bar to sit at if it's just you. During the summer, there is outdoor seating, making another reason to visit. I will say for the money, and the ease of ordering, quickness of the plating and serving, I will be coming back here a lot more for lunch when I can. I highly recommend you checking this out! Trust me it's a lot better than the mall for lunch and even better than that 1/2 lb burrito at Chipotle you were about to order! - 11am to 4pm on Monday to Wednesday, 2 slices and a drink for $3.73 (thanks, Eric C. for the full pricing) and other day or time this deal is still on just for less than $6. - Buffalo Pizza!!!!
(5)Colleen D.
This is a great place to grab a slice. They have a good variety of vegetarian options which warmed my little green heart! I've heard about their $6 lunch special (2 slices and a drink) but I went in to carry something out since my husband and I are still living in a hotel for another day. Their 18' pies run about $20 bucks each but the quality is so much more than any major fast pizza chain. I got the Whitestone: white pizza with mozzarella, parmesan, ricotta, garlic and basil. It was amazing! The dough is thin (think NYC style) and the perfect balance of chewy and buttery and the quality of the toppings was superb- especially the ricotta which was really creamy and soft (versus the grainy texture I've experienced in other places.) They have a menu of red and white pizza to choose from, a good variety of which are available up front in a case by the slice. They warm the slices in the oven before bringing them out to the tables. There seems to be a good amount of space; I was in during the evening so there was a good amount of free seating but I could imagine it might get crowded during a lunch rush. I also saw their sign for delivering but I didn't get any details since it slipped my mind and I was carrying out- but it's something I'd look into for sure!
(4)Jim S.
This is PIZZA!!! yum!! This is not the fruffy-fancy-nambi-pambi-over priced pizza that is suddenly popular. This is the crusty-crispy-big flavor-slightly greasy pizza that you dream about. The prices are good the staff is hard working and friendly. This is one of my favorite pizza places; right behind Ledo's
(4)Joe M.
Pizza was good, and very inexpensive! However, these slices were not as big as NY and I know this from experience. I would eat here again because of a cheap slice. Overall decent pizza for the price
(3)Scott M.
Great pizza by the slice. Two slices and a pop for $6.00. Great flavor.
(4)Kathy M.
I stopped in to try the pizza but couldn't get past the sloppy, unsanitary servers/food preparers. The guy using the oven had on flip flops and there were 3 other guys behind the counter with massive facial hair. One was scratching his beard and handling food. The bathrooms were disgusting because you could smell the urine while standing next to the drink machine. Who would want to eat pizza here?
(1)Steve K.
Bad old pizza+ lazy staff= I'm not going back. Sure the pizza is cheap and it's a great deal. 2 slices and a soda for $6. I had a pizza that looked a month old that the guy throws in the oven for 30 seconds. Here is an empty store he isn't doing anything but can't reheat a slice of pizza correctly. Be warned, you get what you pay for.
(1)Rob W.
They advertise themselves as New York style pizza and having had REAL New York pizza at countless pizzerias over my life so far, I can attest to their claim. In fact, sometimes the real New York style pizza is worse than Flippin' Pizza...and that's actually a backward compliment! lol As others have said, Monday-Wednesday 11am-4pm you can go in and get two extra-large slices of pizza and a fountain drink for the ridiculously low price of $3.73. That is beyond a steal. Limit two slices though...but you can get it for any style pizza they offer, not just cheese or pepporoni. Nobody, and I mean nobody does this in New York or NJ, at least that I've ever been to. The staff is always cool, young, hip...if you don't seem like you know what they are offering they always are sure to tell you which is really nice. I've never ordered a whole pie or anything to go so I can't speak about that. Bottomline the pizza is really, really good...and very cheap if you come Monday-Wednesday between 11-4.
(5)Heather W.
We came here for a school fundraiser for a friend. The pizza was amazing, as everyone else has said. It's new york style pizza and it's perfection. The only reason this place isn't getting 5 stars is because it took forever, I mean longer than 1/2 an hour for him to get our order to us. They weren't even that busy?! We only purchased 2 pizzas and 4 drinks. I was quite dissapointed by this, I have 2 kiddos and they were not having that kind of wait! I also wanted to note that this place is really tiny! If there were more than 2 people in line for pizza, there was someone with their butt in our faces, like an inch away. Maybe the put more tables in that night for the fundraiser or something but it was wayyyy too cozy for me.
(4)XI X.
Average, for the food they serve, is probably too generous for this place. They do have very friendly and prompt service. People that give this place five starts might not recognize good pizza if it hit them in the face. Pizza seemed like it had been sitting there for a while.
(3)Ryuko S.
The pizza here is definitely very tasty. I love the sliced meatballs! However, the quality has gone down a little bit lately. Just as bad, the store has recently ended their BOGO Monday & Tuesday special. At &18 a pop (compared to almost half that price at national-brand chains nearby), its not cheap pizza, and the BOGO was one the main reasons my family would eat there. Now that's gone, we typically eat elsewhere. they do still have good lunch specials.

Great pizza shop in the Arundel Mills shopping center. Prices are reasonable and the pizza is tasty. They have a great 2 slices + drink deal daily. I recommend trying their buffalo. It's one of the better buffalo pizzas I've had. I also recommend arriving 11:30am or earlier for lunch as some pizzas like the mentioned buffalo might be gone by the time you arrive. Customer service has always been pretty friendly and I've never had a problem getting a table. There are outside tables as well. There are no complaints - I'll keep returning for my once a week "treat yo' self" pizza day.

Its a franchise, but the pizza is really good. I would not put it over Gianni's near Fort Meade, but its solid if you near Arundel MIlls Mall.

Q: Where can you go for lunch where two extra-large slices of pizza and a fountain drink costs $3.73? A: If your answer is Flippin' Pizza, you are flippin' correct! From 11 AM - 4 PM, Flippin Pizza in Arundel Mills offers a special where you can get two slices of pizza ($1 per slice) and a drink for $3.73. I don't care where you go, you won't beat that type of deal anywhere. Well, maybe Dollar Tree, but no where else. I went here to try out a slice of the Cheese and Brooklyn pizza. The pizza is tasty while hot; not so tasty otherwise. Moral of the story: eat it the minute you get it! The employees in the back could sense that I was pretty new here, so they guided me pretty well on how their deals worked. Definitely a friendly, outgoing bunch. This is definitely a good place to go for lunch, no questions asked. Also, after 4 PM, you can still can a deal on two slices of pizza and a drink, but it'll be $6. Not too big of a deal, only a measly couple of dollars. I will be back here to try some different slices.

Really yummy. A good choice when you dont want the usual pizza hut or papa johns. I had the buffalo chicken pizza and now it is my favorite!!

Ok! As a pizza connoisseur, particulaly a new york style pizza. This is close as New York Style pizza in Hanover/Glen Burnie/Pasadena you are going to get. Forrrrrreeeaaaalllllzzzzz The real deal here. It has the perfect thin crust, but not overly crisp to the point of being burnt. Cheese to sauce ratio perfect! to sloppy and the sauce is perfect not to over powering with seasoning. They offer lots of great speacialites pizzas. My favorite is the Whitestone with ( Ricotta, Mozzarella, Parmesean, FreshGarlic and Basil). It like heaven!!! Also there is always deal or special, well it seams that way when ever I go. Usually 2 slices and a soda for $6. Now the service can be slow... they run out of pizza frequently. And thats a good sign. There is eat in and also tables outside.. that seemed to be share with Panera and Starbucks.

Closest thing I've found to real NYC pizza around here. Fresh dough, quality cheese, perfectly cooked for right crispy crust and still foldable slices.
(4)Nathan C.
Yep, five stars. Here is one reason for each star: Point the first: They have really good, New York style pizza. For real. That's not even remotely common around here. Point the second: Five bucks gets you two giant slices and a drink. Point the third: FIVE BUCKS GETS YOU TWO GIANT SLICES AND A DRINK. Point the fourth: The staff is genuinely friendly and on top of things, even during the lunch rush. They always seem to stay out of the weeds. Point the fifth: Their buffalo chicken pizza is super good. So go there, and eat pizza. A lot. Note there's not a ton of seating, although there are some outside tables. If you don't mind sitting in a mall parking lot.

I had pizza from here on two separate occasions and both times the pizza was quite flavorful. It also heats up well(IN THE OVEN). They actually specify to not reheat the pizza in the microwave. Listen to them they know exactly what they are doing. I haven't sat down to eat here yet but it's on my list of todo's. Truly enjoyable pizza.

Cheap decent New York style pizza that you can buy by the slice. More can be said, but little value would be added. You don't come here for the best pizza in the world, but if you are nearby and simple want some quick decent pizza here is a place that you will leave with no complaints.

Pizza was quick and delicious...the $6 lunch special is really good (2 slices and a drink). On Mondays, you buy a drink ($1.50) and then you can buy 2 slices of pizza for $1 each. For $3.50, that's a pretty good lunch deal. Look forward to returning! The only reason why I didn't give it a 5 star rating was due to the lack of indoor seating. We had 4 people in our group and 2 people had to end up sitting outside at lunch (which normally wouldn't be bad, but it's pretty hot out right now).

Get the Whitestone! I love white pizza as it is not so heavy as sauce pizza. And Flippin's is the best. The one in Hanover also every Monday and Tuesday does a buy one get one special, and with each pie costing $20 bucks this is a mega deal. The pies are huge and taste great. I have become a pizza snob and rely on Flippin Pizza rather than a place like Dominoes. If you have not tried this pizza, do yourself a favor, get out there and grab a couple of slices. You won't be disappointed.

I ordered a slice of the buffalo chicken, a slice of Brooklyn, and a slice of the white pizza. I ended up with 1 slice of buffalo chicken, and 4 slices of Brooklyn. The guy who was working the counter was beyond "green". He didn't know how to work the register, how to put pizza in the oven, or pull it out. My slice of white ended up in pieces, so the manager gave me 3 slices of Brooklyn to replace it. I couldn't complain with that deal. But if you're going to put a guy to work, at least give him a 5 minute crash course. As for the pizza. Crust is outstanding fresh, but gets very hard as soon as it starts to cool down. Flavor was excellent. The buffalo chicken pizza was a nearly perfect balance of heat and tang. I'll definitely be giving another try soon.

I ate here after eating at Squisitos. The food tasted great! Exactly what I expected! SQUISITOS 1 STAR! FLIPPIN PIZZA 4 STARS!
(4)Jordan K.
Can't beat the lunch special for 2 slices and a drink for 3.75! It was worth it and the pizza was delicious.

Good New York-style pizza, I'm glad to see them in the area. If you've had the pizza from Mamma Lucia in Columbia (by Trader Joe's), it's similar to that. Flippin's prices are more competitive though. The basic cheese pie -- available only in one size, 18 inches -- is $14, and toppings are $1.75. It might seem like "sticker shock" considering a pie from a lesser pizzeria like PapaDominoHut will run you $10, but the old adage is true... you get what you pay for. Let me also say how happy it makes me to have a by-the-slice pizzeria here. If I want a snack, I'm much happier grabbing a quick slice than a McBurger or anything like that.

Pizza was pretty bland. I was expecting more from them by the reviews I guess.

This isn't like NY Pizza, it IS NY Pizza, in Maryland. I have waited a long time for pizza this good around here and it has finally happened. They also deliver which is almost unheard of for even good pizza much less great pizza. Should be noted that the five stars are for a whole pie which in my experience are far superior to their slices. For the people that noted the smallish size of the slices, a whole pie will cure those ills as the slices in the pies are larger than those individual slices in the heat window.
(5)Noel A.
Love the pizza here BUT, its frustrating to have the craving only to call and hear that they don't have any drivers working that evening. Saving grace is that they usually offer a discount if you're willing to do carryout on those nights.
(4)Jack H.
On business travel and jonesing for a really good pizza. Called and got a delicious NY style pizza. 18 inch pepperoni, delivered when promised and still hot! Reasonably priced too. And the staff are friendly and proud of their products This place is terrific. Enjoy!

Maybe I went on a bad day but the pizza was AWFUL. The wait was really long and the pizza was a total letdown. Not going back.
(2)Lou M.
This pizza was pretty awesome! The service was great, the pizza was great, no complaints. Highly recommend!
(5)Steven S.
This is a regular stop for me. The pizza is legit NYC style, and you can't beat two slices and a soda for $6. They have a good variety and the triboro with pepperoni, sausage and meatball is excellent. Do yourseld a favor an grab a slice!
(4)Caryn T.
Based off the reviews I was expecting something like the second coming of Christ, so my experience fell a bit short of that. The pizza was pretty good, and by Maryland standards was very good. The garlic knots were standing in two inches of olive oil and the insides were still raw, but what the hell... I like raw dough, so no biggie. The staff was friendly. I'd go back, but I wouldn't necessarily make the drive out to Arundel Mills expressly for it.
(4)Phil B.
This is good pizza - made fresh and ready to go. The slices were a bit smaller than expected. Maybe I was just really hungry that day - I was craving a third piece after my initial two. The staff are very friendly. I like the interior, although I could see it getting a bit busy as it is nestled between a liquor store, grocery store and starbucks.

We're from Philly w/ frequent trips to NYC. The pizza here is the typical suburban, bland to mediocre, overpriced fare. Ordered an 18" "Red" pie, very light on the "red" (sauce), skimpy mushroom chips (not std. full sized slices) and tiny little pepperoni slices. Crust also mediocre. I see that most reviews on Yelp are for a slice. Maybe we should have stuck w/ a slice . . .or simply passed altogether on the opportunity to blow nearly $18 on a lousy pie. A frozen pie would have been superior. . . and far less expensive.
(1)Khadijat S.
Delicious! I eat here at least once a week. The Whitestone is so good. They are friendly and the pizza is fresh. What more can I say... oh yeah it's cheap : )
(5)Allen B.
This place is weak. The pizza is lousy. The only 2 appetizers they have are garlic knots and "pizza bites". Not to mention $18 plus tax is a lot for a large lousy pizza. Don't waste you time on this place.
(2)Ralph R.
Pretty good pizza! Come here for a quick lunch or dinner. Several different types of specialty pizzas by the slice if you want.
(4)Crystal F.
Almost 9 pm & we are CRAVING pizza. Pizza Hut & Papa John's just weren't doin it for the taste buds, we wanted something new. So as we're driving on the hunt for pizza we see this bright sign FLIPPIN PIZZA. It's newly opened, had a special (I think 2 slices & drink for $5). We had a half Bronx/half Whitestone pie. I'll go for the full Bronx next time. Flippin Pizza saved the day.
(4)Nathan L.
Good cheap late-nite pizza. Just what I was looking for.
(4)Jennifer G.
My husband and I cannot agree on pizza at all. This is where we go now. It is pretty good and simple. They do not have huge choices but for pizza night it works!
(4)Angela Y.
Flippin' Pizza is great!! Went there for lunch and the $1 slice pizza wasn't disappointing at all. I am not sure if it's truly NY style pizza but it's certainly my kind of pizza. My husband and I ended up getting 4 different kinds and they were all tasty. My favorite one is the whitestone with just enough toppings including 3 different kinds of cheese and fresh garlic and basil. Would go again if I am in the neighborhood.
(4)Brad B.
two slices and a drink for $5. very nice crust, and overall good. $5 is a good value, but these are not particularly large slices either -- the two together were smaller than the size of the costco mongo-slices of pizza you get there.
(3)Julie C.
Pizza is one of my favorite food so I have tried lots of good NY pizzas. I personally thought that the pizzas were way over priced for the quality and taste was below average. I got it delivered and have never been back since for their specials which seem much cheaper than getting a whole pizza delivered.
(2)Vannessa S.
Best pizza you can get outside of New York, and I'm a native New Yorker! You have to try this place. One star off for the uber-greasy, tasteless garlic knots. Yuck!
