Let's talk about happy hour. Sit where you want. Yes its just the two of you but enjoy that table for six. Thank You I do mind if I do. Love space on the table. By the time your butt hit the sit there is friendly staff waiting to take your drink order. My all time favorite the frozen peach margarita with a salted rim. There is so much love in that drink. Chevy's wings are the best. They are served with ranch dressing, bonus win. The bar area is standard flat screens everywhere which makes it a great spot to catch a game.

We had the crispy chicken flautas and fresh gauc as our appetizers. Both were delicious and enjoyed watching the bar tender make the mixture of fresh gauc in front of us. I enjoyed the signature jalapeño jelly that came with the flautas. For the drinks I just had a soda and my significant other had the house margarita frozen with sugar. She loved it but made the mistake of ordering a large so it was a very big glass for her. After meals she has ordered a pomegranate margarita regular size with sugar on the rocks. In her words they are kind of strong but delicious. Now the main courses we had was the mesquite-grilled tacos with steak and the mesquite-grilled veggie burrito. The tacos I had was very filling and I tried build on top with the rice given to me, but was not successful. That meal was very, very good. The burrito was so much for the significant other that she couldn't eat the whole thing. So we got a to go box for the item. Finally the bar tender was a very friendly gentleman and didn't need pen and paper to take our order he knew what to put in once we told him. He was very professional with his customer service. I honestly can't wait to come back here again to enjoy the same customer service again.

While Chevys doesn't taste a lot like authentic Mexican food (if you've lived in CA, the Southwest or been to Mexico, you know this) this is one of the better Chevys I've been to and over the years through traveling I've been to many. This location offers great service (which isn't the case at most), delivers huge portions (which is common at all) and offers value (yes, with the amount of food they dish out, no one can complain). Basically, if you're in the mood for chain Mexican, this is your spot. It brings an upbeat, fun atmosphere, solid food and suits every party, whether a date, solo or with a large group. One thing, the tableside guacamole is way better than the small side (although $6 more). If you have a few people go for the larger portion. You can taste the difference. Also, check out the combinations. While I wasn't a fan of the chicken flautas (they were undercooked), the chicken and carnitas (pork) soft tacos were good. You can try three different things and are given a massive amount of rice and beans (too much, in fact). Either way, there's something on the combo, you'll enjoy.

Loved the food and the service was wonderful and very fast! I gave this restaurant four stars because the menu itself varied very little. I am a vegetarian and there was not many options for me as in seafood or other kinds of food.

After an expensive afternoon of wedding band shopping, came here for some Mexican comfort food. Sat at the bar and was shortly greeted by the server. She was very friendly and warm. I ordered a coronarita with a sugar rim. Please don't hold the Corona against me. I didn't think a craft IPA-rita would taste very good. The drink was good. Not too strong and not too sweet. The complimentary chips and salsa were delicious. Chips were hot and salsa fresh. For my meal, I got the 3 enchilada combo. My enchiladas were cheese, chicken, and picadillo beef. Served with rice, pinto beans, and a corn tomatillo, the meal was good. I devoured it and felt good while doing it. I'm not ordering anything complex at restaurant like Chevy's. You have to understand where you are to better manage your expectations. Chevy's delivered on what I expected. Not amazing and not abysmal.

Happy Hour at Chevy's. My waitress Jess was very nice, she was busy with many tables but very attentive. I started off with a Mango margarita the best margarita I've ever had. Frozen, juicy and full of tequila. I then ordered the shrimp fajitas well I will have to say it was only ok, lots of onions, very few sweet peppers and green peppers. No salsa , Spanish rice was ok. In all not too flavorful but the side of corn tamale was very good Mexican version of corn pudding. Very sweet and tasty with pieces of real corn in it. I have to say it was the best thing on the platter.

Good food and decent service. Only thing I don't care for is sitting out in the mall area. Good drinks, too!

Complimentary chips and salsa- you can tell the chips are freshly made in-house by how thin they are. Not a complaint, they were good and not overly salted. If u don't like spice, this salsa isn't for u, so I would kindly suggest u get out the kitchen if you're a wimp. ;) Tortillas-They make them fresh in-house right where you can see them. That's so cool! I ordered the Combo option of tamale w/ pork carnitas and a soft shell taco w/ salsa chicken which comes w/ rice, refrained beans/black beans, and a corn dish. The black beans were cooked w/ pork and were VERY flavorful. The corn side dish was honestly the best thing on my plate, but not to discredit the other items. The salsa chicken taco was tasty but needed something creamy, so I spread queso dip on it, if you're a sour cream person then that would have done it justice too. The carnita tamale was good as well and the carnita was flavorful and cooked well. Honestly, the pico de gallo could have used a little more flavor. The salsa would have been good on the taco as well. All in all, the value for the quantity of food was great. $10.99 for everything. This isn't the ideal location for a large group. I came w/ a 20 person group and we were seated at 2 elongated booths, separated from each other and by the kitchen entrance. My knees were in pain by the time I left because I couldn't stretch out. There was a lot of traffic near that area, naturally. For my friend's bday they clapped & sang, gave her a sombrero and a scoop of ice cream w/ chocolate.

Ok-so don't judge me, but YES-I went to a Mexican restaurant in Maryland when I am from San Antonio, Texas. And I enjoyed it! Located in Arundel Mills mall, this place is great. A nice selection of your typical Mexican/Tex-Mex foods. I had the veggie fajitas and they were legit. And huge! The portions were amazing as was the service. Although the restaurant was quite busy, we were seated immediately, and not only was our waiter was on top of his game but he also never let us want for anything. Delish chips/salsa, guac, tortillas, I could go on, but I won't. I didn't personally have anything from their bar however the tables around us did and they all looked amazing! I'm sure as to when or if I would be back in the area again, but if I do find myself around once more, you can bet I will be stopping by Chevy's.

Let me start off by saying that I was a little skeptical of eating here by the way it looked on the outside. Me and my husband read the reviews and decided to take a chance and we don't regret it. Cadillac Margaritas are AMAZING!! The service was great and the food was absolutely delicious. We will definitely be eating here again

In my opinion, the best part of Chevy's is their complimentary chips and salsa. My two favorite margaritas here are the Watermelon which is offered in the summer and the cranberry which is offered in the winter. However, margaritas here have changed in price (skyrocketed) and in taste (no alcohol present). This place used to be marvelous, at least four stars with decent food and good service, but ever since the opening of the Casino this place has gone downhill. Waaayyy down the hill, like pushed down the hill face first. I have been here three times since the casino has opened and the whole atmosphere has changed. Chevy's used to have super excessively cheerful bartenders and attentive waiters, now they are disheveled walking zombies, not one person smiled when we were in there. The great tasting tex-mex food is now watery and flavorless. The portions remain the same (vast) but now it's beans taking up the WHOLE plate instead of the enchiladas I wanted. I can tell that maybe the management has changed and prices have sky-rocketed. The food used to be yummy and affordable. I always order on of the same two things when I venture in here, grilled chicken caesar or the three enchilada plate. The enchilada plate used to come with sour cream and guacamole, now it only comes with a small amount of sweet corn tomalito. You now have to pay for the tablespoon size of sour cream, salsa and guacamole. The margaritas used to be a cool thing to stop in and get a quick one with friends, however, no one wants to pay $13.00 - $15.00 for a nonalcoholic margarita--literally there is NO alcohol in these frozen margaritas, they should be called slushies. Their happy hour used to be the BEST!!!! Now they cut the selections and jumped the prices up. Note: *You can bum free Wi-Fi from the DuClaw service (DCWIRELESS) if you're in Chevy's bar area.

Gluten free menu! Good food and service. Located right inside the mall. Has a nice layout. Good for just a couple or a larger crowd. Will def go back to this place!

Loved this place! I went with a group of people and everyone loved what they got. Salsa is so fresh and yummy!! I'm going back to buy some and bring home! Definitely will be back.

I love this Chevy's. The food is affordable and always delicious, and the wait staff are always friendly. The only downside sometimes is that, because it's in the mall, there can be a wait and it tends to get pretty loud. It's not a place I'd come for a quiet date night, but if you're going out for a quick, yummy Mexican meal or hanging out with a group of friends, it's a great spot. I usually keep it basic and get the chicken quesadilla when I come here. It's always delicious, and the chicken is the perfect consistency and you can tell it's been marinating in yummy sauces and spices. The queso dip is always good, too, and they serve all of their meals with a generous portion of guacamole, sour cream, and pico de gallo - way better than a lot of places that barely give you a tablespoon of each without charging extra. It's always enough to put on my entire meal, and so I appreciate that! If you come during lunchtime, they have some great lunch specials, too. Try the chicken tortilla and avocado soup... yum! Drinks are also great, and their margaritas are huge!

Love this establishment, the food is great and the customer service is on point. I love the variety of Mexican food and tequila drinks available. I server was very quick, polite and knowledgeable. For lunch I had the select three meal, which was enough food for two people. My suggestion is if your going to get the pick 3 I would say not get an appetizer. Unless you like to take home leftovers, which is always great. Always a busy crowd at the restaurant, but usually sit immediately or very quickly.

I love this place! The margarita's are fantastic, the food is excellent with shareable portion sizes, and the service is fast and friendly. Only downside, the bathrooms are never very clean.

My husband and I came here tonight for dinner. He had never been here but I have with friends. I have never had any complaints about the food here. Tonight we started off with the appetizer sampler. It was a good variety of what they had to offer. My husband really enjoyed the sampler. We both got margaritas which were tasy. For dinner I order shrimp and crab enchiladas with beans and rice. The enchiladas would have been awesome if they were shrimp enchiladas because I think mine were missing the crab...well at least that's how mine tasted. They were good, just misnamed. The rice was a tad sticky but it didn't taste bad. My husband had the flautas based on my recommendation...he absolutely loved them. He was very satisfied with his meal. Our waitress was friendly and checked on us often. We will come back again.

Chevy's in Arundel Mills is a great resturant in the mall to eat at before or after going to movies to escape the price of food at movie theather. Plenty of happy hour specials to satisfy everyone on a budget. Huge menu! The staff is patient and will to customize orders due to allergies. Try their Margaritas! Will not be disappointed!

  • Lety M.

The Margaritas are good and that's about all I can say about this place. The tortillas were raw the food is mediocre for someone who knows what Mexican food should taste like. On that note I didn't expect it to meet those expectations considering we are in Maryland and I am from San Antonio but even at that no thanks. Home cooking it is from now on.

Came to Chevy's for a work lunch because my supervisor found out that I love Mexican food. From just walking in the door, your greeted by the smell of tortilla's and bright welcoming colors. As we walked to our table, everyone's food looked delicious. We were given chips and salsa to start off with. The salsa was good, a little too mild for my taste. I ordered the Grilled Mesquite Chicken Tacos. It was so flavorful and filling. Every time I took a bite of the taco, I had stuff falling out of it, now that's a good taco. It also came with black beans, Spanish rice, and a little corn hill (sorry I don't remember what the corn stuff was called. It was good though, lol.). Overall it was a great meal, and I look forward to going back and trying other meals.

Can't go wrong with their chips and salsa. Of course this place is totally generic but at least they own their genericness. It's sad that this is one of the better Mexican places in the area but it's true. I've been to practically all the Mexican restaurants within a 15 mile radius and they all suck....I mean that don't quite meet my expectations. That being said if you need a quick mexi fix hit up chevy's and get on with the fact that you're not going to get any better unless you're willing to make a drive.

Don't expect an authentic experience, but expect some good continental grub for an excellent price and a lot of it for cheap. Salsa is addicting, service is smooth and food comes quick

As a Texas native, Tex-Mex is a critical part of my diet. After five years of searching the area, Chevy's is the closest I've found to a taste of home. Not perfect, but the flavors evoke the right memories. My favorite item is the large, frozen bulldog. Sweet, tart, salty, wonderful goodness. Perfect way to end a long week. I'm also a big fan of their fajitas and enchiladas. During happy hour, the nachos are my favorite discounted item, but the volume of toppings can be hit or miss. There are almost always seats available in the bar. Service is friendly. Salsa is yummy. Food is a solid 4-stars (at least the food I've had). Try it!

not sure where I heard this, but I had the impression that the food at Chevy's would not be very good. I have to say that I was pleasantly surprised! We started with the guacamole that is made table-side. That was delish and perfectly made to our personal requests. The addition of cotija cheese was a nice touch. A lot of times, I do not like to order the guacamole because you end up filling up before your entree gets to your table, but this portion was not so ridiculous. For my entree, I ordered the Mar y Tierra. This had a chicken taco, a shrimp & crab enchilada (YUM!), and steak fajitas served with rice, a choice of beans, and a small tablespoon of corn tamalito. The shrimp & crab enchilada was my favorite thing on the plate by far! The habanero pesto cream sauce that tops the enchilada is SO delicious! The margaritas were good, but could have used more alcohol. Our server, Anthony, was very nice and split our bill without us even asking him to do so. all in all, a good experience!

I like their prices and their portion sizes are great. Some of their entrees are big enough to have half of it later such a as their steak burrito. Their lunch specials are good too. I like their salad and quesadilla (steak) combo. It's filling at a reasonable price. Their chips and salsa are and added bonus. I love the guacamole that you can get on the side to dip your fresh chips into. If you are in the mood for some good Mexican food at reasonable prices, check this place out. Thanks for reading my review. This review is based off of my personal opinion and experience.

Great food, great service! The portions are pretty big also. I had the combo with the flautas and the meat enchiladas. Delicious! My boyfriend had for one of the burritos and it was pretty huge and yummy. Highly recommend this place if you're in the area.

Excellent friendly service, tasty food, and great prices. The queso is awesome (if not a little thin), the chips are crunchy and fresh, and the entrees are huge. They even brought my son out additional fruit when he'd finish his at no additional cost. I'll be returning here often. Check out the Laredo plate!

Since my last review was about a bad experience in a Mexican restaurant, I still wanted to eat some descent Mexican food. My wife and I were at Arundel Mills mall and before we start shopping we decide to eat something. We look for our options and I asked her if she wanted to eat some Mexican food and she agreed. Chevys was a great choice and in the contrary of my last review, I really enjoyed my time here As soon as we got in the front door, we were greeted by a nice young lady who led us to our table. Our waiter came in and introduce himself with a smile all the time. Took our orders and I told him that I specifically don't want any flour tortillas only corn tortillas and he made it happen. Quality of food was good, we ordered the Sizzling Fajitas (I don't remember the dish name very well) but it was good and it had a good presentation. Very tasty. Oh! I forgot to mention that the complementary tortillas chips that they give are awesome. Best tortillas chips I have ever tried. My wife ordered a margarita and she really enjoyed. She was very happy with everything. Customer service was great, since the young lady who took us to our table, our waiter and even the bussers were very helpful and kind. Our waiter was checking on us all the time asking if we needed something else. Overall, it was a nice experience. We enjoyed it a lot. Great food, great service what else can I ask. Price is descent, I would say that it is a nice and reasonable price. I went back with my wife and her siblings two days ago and they also enjoyed it.

very clean , and pretty great staff too. the food isn't the best , but it's a chain restaurant so it's forgiveable. the portion size is generous - but I find the food rather bland.

  • Jane C.

Hit or miss. The first time I came here, it far surpassed my expectations. The tortillas were fresh and thick, and tasted delicious. We split the chicken and shrimp fajitas, which was more than enough for two adults. We came today wanting the same experience, but the tortillas were thin and stuck together; some weren't even cooked properly. The meat for the fajitas didn't appear thoroughly cooked, either. Last time, they were seasoned well and blackened. This time... Just basic. They also got our kids order wrong, but that's not the worst thing that could happen. They were quick to fix the mistake and were happy to help.

In and out in 30 minutes, they were full on a 15-20 minute wait, ask to sit at the bar and we were greeted in 1min bartender took the order and food was delivered in 15 min bus lady refill out chips very hard worker by the way. We ordered beed tacos and they were good no time for dessert we had to run for a game

Chevy's has the best chips in town, I would go there just for that. Seriously. I have been to Chevy's few times, and loved it every time. It is standard Tex-Mex fare, just done fairly well (especially for a chain). I had the chimichanga, and it was friend to perfection with a nice sauce on top, chicken inside nice and tender. Their refried beans had lots of flavor and weren't too greasy. Even the margaritas were made great. It can be hard to track down your server on busy nights, and the biggest drawback - It's located in the busiest mall in the area. Ah well, not everything can be perfect.

  • Matt M.

Disappointed today at Chevy's. I used to eat here all the time, probably once a week, but haven't been in a while. The food has gone downhill under new, non-Hispanic management. I had shrimp and crab enchiladas, which had barely any shrimp and no crab. They are now potato enchiladas. My wife had a similar experience with her "shrimp" quesadillas. We counted: only one small shrimp per slice and the rest is potato filler. If you like potatoes, this is the place for you! Unfortunately, Chevy's lost me as a customer today. There are plenty of other options here at Arundel Mills.

Loved this place. Joanie was my server - she was awesome. Super friendly and made sure everything was just right. I had the sizzling fajita salad. It was big and fresh. The chipotle dressing was really tasty. I'm visiting from out of town and just walked in - I'm glad I did.

Went there for lunch, I should of got up and left, no one would of noticed. Got free chips and salsa and a $5.00 corona, order the lunch special chicken and cheese bowl. It was gross, basically leftovers, when the server sat it down, with a warning of the plates hot, I knew the food wasnt. I get the corn, rice and black beans and sourcream, but I don't ever remember texmex having cubed carrots, green beans and zucchini.

Decent food, Americanized Mexican. They have a great happy hour and the food here is good too. Their wings are huge and really good, which makes me wish they had a sports bar side that I could come to watch the games. Not spicy wings, but a decent sauce that tastes pretty good. I am more a fan of the size of the wings.

I ate here on December 27th, and would have written sooner, but life got in the way. I was out with friends (there were roughly 12 of us) and we were celebrating a friend's birthday party at one of the casinos. We all got hungry and decided to eat at Chevy's around 10 PM. We then got all the individual checks since the waitress was nice enough to separate the checks out for all of the people in the party. Well, my check of $38.88 went up to $59.16! I understand the 18% gratuity charge and have no problems with it, but a service charge on top of that? I asked the waitress about this and she said this was normal. AN 18% tip for her AND a service charge for the busboys??? Because I was celebrating my friend's birthday, I didn't want to call the manager over and make a fuss, but I just have a hard time justifying what I was charged, and an even harder time keeping quiet about it. I've actually saved the receipt and for anyone who wants to see proof of the highway robbery that happened. While the money isn't the problem, I just have a hard time with the principle of what was done. I actually enjoy Chevy's food, but I work hard for the money I make and simply can't justify what I paid. So just be warned, and if you have a large party, I'd suggest you go somewhere else, unless you'd like to pay the server a 36% tip for an OK meal!

The first visit was pretty good, the second visit was definitely handled by the "B team"...We went back hoping they'd be back on their game and were disappointed again. I'm not sure if there is a specific time of day we shouldn't go there/the attention to detail is lacking or if they have just lowered their standards. Sometimes the fried foods are soggy, sometimes items have been stale.

Indifferent waitstaff. Very, VERY weak drinks. But a pretty good happy hour: $5 appetizers, $4 (weak) margaritas, and a daily special like Taco Tuesday. Perhaps I've been spoiled by the welcoming, Cheers - like atmosphere of DuClaw across the way. Maybe DuClaw's powerful beers have upped my tolerance. Whatevs. Try harder, Chevy's. It's not that difficult to hire waitstaff that is upbeat and friendly, rather than tolerable. It's easy to actually add alcohol to a margarita (I'm under 125 and after two lemonade-like 'ritas, I'm still untouched in the buzzed area.) So, it's easy-peasy to find seating during the week. Probably because everyone is at DuClaw. But a good happy hour & almost guaranteed seating goes far with my lazy post - shopping tuchas. You can even bum free Wi-Fi from the DuClaw service (DCWIRELESS) if you're in Chevy's bar area. Still. Try harder y'all.

Quick seating, attentive waiter, no hassles, food to table in reasonable time (both hot and good), excellent selection of beers, and an overall pleasant experience. Slow clearing table and bringing check otherwise would have rated a 5. Will definitely return.

This place used to be very nice, at least four stars with decent food and good service, but we hadn't been there in a few months. Went last night, and it was much changed. New management, new staff. Not a good experience. Food was okay but the staff left a lot to be desired. First sign was the girl who seated us was not very pleasant; don't think I saw her smile at all. The sauce with the the chips did not seem as good as I remembered, but that could have been a fluke. The waiter was wearing perfume; not a good thing. My margarita was all right, but not what I expected (the margarita menu had changed, so this could have been deliberate). This was a week day in mid-afternoon so the place was not crowded at all (perhaps a sign...) but it took much longer than normal to get our fajitas. The waiter brought them with no tortillas and told us the fajitas would be right out. They weren't. Ten minutes later we still had no tortillas. Finally they came, and they were cold. (?) We complained, and the waiter brought his boss. Who was also wearing perfume, though I don't think quite as much. He apologized, and said that the waiter had only been there for a couple of weeks, and that he would make sure that he always brought tortillas together with the food in the future. I commented that if it had been his first day that would have been understandable, but in two weeks he should have learned better. They only charged us for one of the two fajitas to make up for the problems, which was fine, but we won't be going back for awhile. Definitely amateur hour as of the end of October.

The kids went bananas over the dough that came with the crayons! That was the best distraction ever for this family of 5! The servings were huge, delicious, and filling. We ordered the pizza, chicken, and taco kids meals. For the adults, we ordered a chicken chimichanga and enchiladas. Everything was delicious. Our female server was attentive and understood the need to serve the kids first! We were all able to eat for under $50. We will return any chance we can. We valet parked because finding a parking spot can be a nightmare!

I've never had a 'bad' experience here, but that's not to say I've ever been blown away by the food. I wouldn't expect to be, though. It's a mexican restaurant and I'm not really into authentic mexican food. My most recent trip, I got the fish tacos. They were actually really good! ! (I got the salmon). The best I've had recently. I also got one of the jumbo strawberry margaritas, which was equally as good. So if you're into mexican food, and there's one of these nearby, I say go for it. Not a bad option. Service is attentive and decent, too.

We were there on Monday, February 19, 2014. Since we are from the Chicago area, we have never been to a Chevy's as they don't have close to where we live. The chips and salsa they brought to the table were just DELICIOUS!! No need for an appetizer since these chips are fantastic! I got the steak tacos and they couldn't have been better. My husband and the fajitas and they were good too. The only thing that was wrong is there was a table with two families of younger children who were allowed to run around. The management staff should have said something to this family. The kids ran into one of the servers who had a tray full of food. Luckily, no one was hurt. It was hard to enjoy our dinner with 8 little kids running around. Otherwise, the food & service was great.

I shouldn't have expected much, we went on a Saturday night to one of the biggest and busiest malls around. The service really missed the mark. We had enough time from sitting at the table before the waitress came that we had our entire order ready. We ordered an app of guacamole. It took 30 minutes. It's not like they have to cook it! Anyway, the waitress came table side to make the guacamole and asked if we wanted it smooth, which I did. I don't know what her definition of smooth is, but it was not smooth and had big chunks of avocados and was not blended well. I had to fix it and at that point they should have paid me as an employee since I did the work. Then 20 minutes later the waitress comes and says, 'what did y'all order again? I didn't write it down.' I'm sure you can imagine my face at this point. I was dumbfounded. And she was not apologetic in the slightest. We repeated the order after looking through the menu again because it had been so long we forgotten. The food came out quickly and was pretty good. I had steak fajitas and my hubby seafood enchiladas. It was really tasty. I loved the corn stuff? I don't know what it was called but it was good. In the end we did get a discount so maybe the waitress was just really busy and had no time for niceties. However, one should always make time for being nice, especially when wages are on the line. I'm not petty like that to reduce a tip, but that doesn't mean the next person would be the same way. All in all, I would eat here again, but not on a weekend when they are really busy.

No major complaints, we were seated promptly and given chips and salsa almost immediately. Took quite awhile for our server to show up and take our drink and food order. My wife tried the house margarita with a coronita ( I believe it was called a Mexican Bulldog ). She thoroughly enjoyed it, I liked it as well. The food came out lightning fast, very large portions at a pretty good price. Flavor of the chile rellenos was so-so, the salsa chicken taco was pretty good, black beans and rice was alright, the sweet corn tamalito was delicious. I look forward to trying other items on their menu!

Absolutely LOVE this place. I've been here twice and both times I've had a wonderful experience. I came in today and sat at the cantina and we had an AMAZING waiter! He was very attentive, funny, talkative, and answered all my questions about the menu. He recommended I get the strawberry mango margarita and indeed it was very delicious with just the right amount of alcohol. Since I had eaten a big breakfast I didn't want to get own meal (the portions of meals are pretty big) so he recommended I share the Fresh Mex Sampler with someone. It is an appetizer but it's very filling! It had quesadillas, wings, enchiladas, and taquitos! Yummy in my tummy. Any who, the food is great, the service is wonderful .. so GO TRY IT!

It has 1 star because I can't put none! A guacamole with chunky avocado and that's 'how they do it'??? This is about the worst service, and food ever.

I was glad to find a restaurant that made me want to stay in MD to eat there again. I felt like I was in my grandma's kitchen and eating her great food. We tried a little of everything and I was in heaven. Our server Daniel was wonderful and helpful, keeping the salsa and chips coming while we waited for food. Hot fresh chips and salsa I could eat all day long. We had raspberry margaritas with salted rims. The sweet tart taste made the margaritas the best drink of the day. The amount of food was so much that we took leftovers which I ate in the airport. I cannot wait to go back to MD so I can eat there again. Yummy Yum Yum!

Chevy's is always a family favorite. Good service, decent prices and quality food. Not authentic mexican food, but decent tex mex. Their fajitas are always good, and other fare always tasty. Their chips and salsa is a high point. I will always recommend for a good experience.

This was my favorite place to eat at Arundel Mills. The Mexican food was good. This includes the guacamole casero which they make right at your table. It used to be an all around fun place to eat, plain and simple. A complaint of mine is that they used to have a tortilla machine that would spit out pipin' hot FRESH tortillas, and they would bring them to your table instead of nachos. They quit doing that, so shame on them. ***Review update: I'll still eat here on occasion... But this restaurant's quality continues to plummet, and will soon be no better than airport food :-/ Also, my kid found a huge chunk of plastic in his burrito on last visit.

This restaurant has a bit of a confusing layout because of several partitions and sections. I didn't realize that I went in the wrong way. Then when I had to leave, I needed to look around for the exit, which is just inside the mall building. Service was just fine but I thought the food was mediocre at best. The salsa was forgettable and most of the other items I had in the Super Cinco were hit or miss.

The best near by Mexican food. Chips are steamy and yummy. Enchiladas are delish. Smothered burrito is so goood! Fajitas are sizzling! Great place that serves great food! :D

It's a great family place. My kids love it. Reasonable priced. Kids eat free on Tuesdays. They give a Sombrero and sing for birthdays. Chips and salsa are really good. They are good with menu substitutions.

Eric C's Unofficial Friday Night Lineup: -Tortilla Chips -Fajita Steak Quesadillas -Captain on Acid -Jager Bomb -Jager Bomb -Starry Night The last four entries on the above list are alcoholic beverages that were consumed during this last visit. Yes, I know I have Jager Bomb listed twice. No, I did not feel the after effects of any other these drinks. I'm pretty sure this should be the case due to the food, but nonetheless, my group had a great time at Chevys. For a Friday night, I guess you can say my group of four was lucky enough to find an open table that did not require as astronomical wait. Our waiter for the night, Jerrica, was excellent with pretty much everything. She made the night go by easy as expected. The food was on time and tasted fairly well as you ask me. A great start of the night that ended at Dave & Busters right next door.

A-Ok is fine for Chevy's. The salsa and chips are good. I got the flautas which were decent - but you have to make sure that you don't fill up on chips. Service is decent and price is decent but I am sure there are better options out there. This option is a good go-to if you want something quick and easy.

Giant portions! Come here hungry. Even the lunch portions are large. I'd have to say that 2/3 of the plate consists of rice and beans. The portions are definitely way too much for me. But the quality of the main part of the entree is not really all that great. The meats don't taste very fresh and sometimes its really chewy. But no one really comes here for "good" food. They have amazing margaritas and chips and salsa. This place is better suited for Happy Hour. It's great for groups and the occasional get together of your 10 closest co-workers. This is definitely one of my favorite places for Happy Hour.

We love Chevy's and wish we had one locally, but we stop in every time we are near one. The service is friendly. The chips and salsa are delicious and I love their chicken fajitas! I'm pretty predictable when it comes to Mexican food, usually ordering fajitas or a taco salad and chevy's fajitas rank high on my list of favorite spots to get them. The chicken comes out on a sizzling platter and their guacamole is delicious! This location is great; you can sit near the mall and people watch while you eat. Will miss this location when we return home.

Until attending an advance screening at Arundel Mills several months back I had never had the opportunity to try Chevy's Fresh Mex but one taste was all it took, now I'm hooked. The chips they bring to the table as soon as you are seated are always fresh and still warm, dusted with just the right amount of salt and the salsa is one of the best I've ever tasted, So far we've enjoyed the Chicken Flautas and the Shrimp & Chicken Fajitas so much that we can't bring ourselves to try other menu items. No detail is overlooked with the flautas - from the flauta itself which always comes out hot and perfectly crispy, the pineapple salsa sprinkled with Cojita cheese and the "to die for" jalapeno jelly that balances the saltiness of the cheese. The fajitas are so big that my husband and I always order one to share and still have enough left over for him to take for lunch the next day. The shrimp and chicken have that char-broiled taste I love but can never achieve when I cook at home and the warm flour tortillas are so fresh that you can watch as they are made and cooked for each order and the spoon bread is the proverbial icing on the cake. Make sure you join the Compadres club and add all of your family member's birthdays as well. It seems like every month we receive an email with a coupon for a free appetizer or entree, making this already very affordable choice an even cheaper date night. We've only been during the week and have always been seated immediately and served our meals very quickly with great service. When I do go out for a drink this is the type of place I prefer because I like having something light to snack on while sipping a margarita so we definitely be making this a date night destination.

Chevy's is a typical food chain that serves Mexican food..authentic...no...tasty a little. I'm extremely biased when it comes to Mexican food..being from California makes it very hard. However I will come to Chevy's before I try another DMV Mexican restaurant again! At least I know they TRY to make food that taste like the south of the border!

We went for happy hour while shopping at the mall. The comp chips and salsa were good . My server almost spilled my frozen margarita on me but with my quick reflexes it missed my leg. He had the bartender top it off which it was a good drink but the sugar rim was gone and the glass was sticky from the spill. It happens. I still liked the service there. The food was good we have flautas and taquitos. I rate my overall experience 3.5 stars.

Even though I prefer "authentic" Mexican food I liked my dinner at Chevys. The chips were warm, fresh, and crispy, and the salsa was, like many other reviewers have noted, first-rate. My margarita was big and tasty. I ordered a two-item combo plate with a side of guac. My pork tamale was good enough and my relleno was plenty cheesy although the chile pepper itself was sort of a sad, limp affair. Both entrees came with sauces that were just tasty enough to remind me of the good old days when it was easy to find great, savory, red and green sauces at just about any hole-in-the-wall tex-mex joint. I got the feeling that Chevy's has got the corporate chefs working on their flavors with some degree of success. Same thing with my sides of rice and refried beans -- not spectacular but well-seasoned and tasty enough to satisfy rather than disappoint. My guac was delicious and fresh. My only other nitpick was, although the plate is huge, the tamale and the relleno looked miniscule compared with the massive sides of rice and beans. Yes, I got plenty to eat, but if Chevys really wants to impress, they'll tweak those flavors just a little more, and fill the plate with the headliners, rather than the supporting cast. The chicken enchiladas with chipotle cream sauce and grilled vegetables were also quite good. The service was fast and friendly and the check made me happy too. I'm eager to try this Chevy's again, to see if they're at all consistent, or was this good experience just a fluke.

We went for a birthday party with a large party and the wait staff did very well with our group and the ordering. The food was pretty good and portions were sizable. The salsa chicken tacos were very tasty and the chicken chimichanga was also very good. The mango mojito was delicious as well. The salsa was awesome! Overall good experience... Would definitely recommend!

Too much pepper and cheese for me; they put cheese on guacamole, fried beans, rice; and pepper on every food. My mouth turned hot and I stopped eating. That's unfortunate, because I like Mexican food and I like the theme interior decor of Chevys. In fact, I like it better than Chilli's (which I look at it as the semi-Mexican restaurant). Chevys when in comes to food and ambiance will make you feel you really eating Mexican food. But it's just not good when you get too much of bad things which makes it unappetizing. With this, I'm done with Chevys and I'll find another Mexican restaurant that would have a healthy choice of food.

Been here twice. The first time was in November, when my friend celebrated her birthday and the second one(due to my recommendation) was a few weeks ago with family, right before going to the movies. The truth is, I don't remember what I ordered. Maybe because it's the catching up with families and friends that I remembered more? Or maybe there were too many birthday celebrants that all I heard was the staff chanting their version of happy birthday from table to table. Either way, who said you should only write reviews about entrees? I would give a 5 star to the following: unlimited chips and salsa; ambiance; service; and most of all, their ginormous portions! Their guacamole was yummy, too, by the way.

Food related illnesses from eating at Chevy's Fresh Mex at 7000 Arundel Mills Circle Hanover, MD 21076 on June 22 between 8:15 pm - 9:30pm. Meal ordered Fajita grill special platter including spanish rice, black beans, steak, chicken, pork & shrimp. Shared appetizer, chips & salsa. Illness: within an hour or so of completing business at the restaurant my stomach began to rumble, I developed severe cramps and gas with mild nausea. I am nick named "iron gut" by family members because I can typically eat anything and NOT have any ill effects! In this instance, I showed signs first. Our daughter was at the dinner as well, she suffered only mild irritation, she had her own meal platter and only ate from the appetizer, chips & salsa and ONE piece of steak from our meal. We all continue to this day to have symptoms which came on fast, increased in intensity as time passed and as days go by the cramps become less painful, but the passing of loose to diarrhea stools continues. Overall symptoms have lead us to explosive bowel movements which smell enough like the food we ate at Chevy's to suggest it is what we have had troubles with. Also, our oldest daughter did NOT join us at this dinner and yet she ate what we did at home prior to and since the visit and she having a sensitive stomach, has NOT had any symptoms of this illness which has plaques the rest of the family who DID eat out that night! Today nearly 3 days since the ingestion of this meal, both myself and husband continue to suffer from the need to relieve gas which disgustingly also releases diarrhea-like stool from our rectums "sharts a combination of sh*t + farts)", NOT a fun series of events to say the very least.

Last time I ate here I thought the stomach ache I had the next day might have been the result, but I decided to give them another shot. Unfortunately on my way in to the restaurant it smelled STRONGLY of fecal matter. So I made a quick bee-line to the nearest restaurant I could to avoid a case of the hepatitis.

I used to love Chevy's in high school, but hadn't been to one since then. I decided to stop in at this location for some pre-movie margaritas and chips and salsa. The watermelon margarita was nice and refreshing and the chips are fresh.

Yes, Chevy's is a chain and no, it is definitely not "real" Mexican food. However, it is good and I find myself going back for the dishes that I know they do well. I don't think it's 4-star worthy....but definitely A-OK. The chips and salsa are amazing - the chips are thin, light, and crispy with just the right amount of salt and grease. The salsa is flavorful - not too chunky but not too watery either. I generally get the shrimp and sweet corn appetizer because the shrimp is marinated and cooked well, and the sweet corn is one of the main reasons I go there. I don't think it counts as a vegetable, because it tastes more like dessert. The whole dish has a tasty chipotle and cheese drizzle overtop. It also comes with avocado slices. The flautas are my other stand-by at Chevy's. The chicken filling is very well flavored and the mango jam that comes with it is a great addition. Service at Chevy's is generally ok. Tonight we had good service - no issues at all! I've never had any truly bad experiences there. I recommend going to Chevy's for lunch or happy hour especially - both have great deals. The tortilla soup and salad combo for lunch is really good (and pretty healthy...at least I think so). At happy hour, you'll get $3 margaritas and 1/2 off appetizers if you sit in the bar (which is a pretty large space). Given that both the shrimp and sweet corn dish and the flautas are on the appetizer menu, it's perfect for me!

I haven't been to a Chevy's since the 90's, so my co-worker and I were in the area and we decided to give it a try. It is located in Arundel Mills Mall, I guess that is what it is called. We were seated immediately as the restaurant was almost empty. Took a minute to get our drinks, but salsa and chips arrived quickly. Chips were thin and crisp and it was not a thick salsa. It lacked heat, I mean any heat. Had an oily taste to it, but not bad. I decided to order off of the lunch menu. I had the mesquite grilled steak tacos. It was two soft tacos with lettuce, pico, chipotle aoli, and cotija cheese. It came with rice and choice of beans. I was surprised by the size of the portions. It was a nice size meal and I enjoyed every portion of it. The steak had a great taste and everything was fresh. My co-worker enjoyed his meal also. I would stop again if I was in the area.

For a chain restaurant, the food tasted much more fresh than we expected. While the hostesses were a bit indifferent, table service was good. The waiter was attentive, checking in just enough to make sure everything was fine without being intrusive. Carnitas tacos, beef enchiladas, XX on tap, make for a nice mid-mall stop when our stomachs were growling. Would we make a special trip just to go there? Nah, it doesn't rise to that level. Would I eat there again? Yes.

I love this place and I don't even like Tex-mex food that much. First off, they have a happy hour for discounted margaritas, don't be fooled! They are only for margaritas on the rocks, and only in traditional lime flavor. I have asked for a frozen strawberry recently and was denied! Another key point is that if you get an email from Chevy's with a coupon or discount, this Chevy's doesn't feel the need to honor those discounts. I had one for a free appetizer and since they're a franchise (or something like that) they didn't have to accept it but the manager did dane to take $5 off our check, all the appetizers are like $8 and up so I was pretty dissapointed at the gesture. Why does chevys offer coupons if they don't have to honor them? Onto the food. Very good. I love the free chips and salsa, by far the best free complimentary appetizer ever. Yesterday, they were a bit too spicy though. The fajitas are ALWAYS on point. And I absolutely adore that corn mush. I always get a double order of that instead of beans. Super yum!

Great salsa, terrific guac, all of your Mexiacn food faves are represented nicely on the menu. Margaritas were tasty, service was very good. Went on a Friday night and had a 20-minute wait. ALl in all, a good value and a nice experience

Stopped by for Happy hour while I waited to join a line for a screening and they delivered. The bar atmosphere is a room and not just at the bar like most places. Free chips and salsa always hits the spot and I easily downed 3 Peach Mango frozen margaritas. As always I have to get a bowl of Tomalito when I come as it is my favorite dish. Tomalito is a cornmeal mush side item. LOVE IT and I LOVE here!!!!

Visited a few times now and realized I hadn't reviewed it. I've been to this Chevy's for Lunch, Dinner (3x) and Happy Hour. Lunch was pretty quick and easy which is all I look for in a lunch meal. Dinner took some time given that they were at 25 min wait to sit. The portions are quite healthy so bring your appetite. I love their appetizer nachos (forget what they call it). If you order it, be ready to share as its pretty big. Happy Hour was great! For $15 with tip we had a house margarita and a beer with the nachos. Overall great experiences each time. Recommend it if your in the area.

Went here the other day for lunch after getting off work early. The lunch menu is well worth it. I loved that they had everything from a light fare to a pick 2, 3, or 4 of your favorites and make your own plate. I decided to go with a pick 3 and got tamales, enchiladas, and a stuffed poblano pepper. Needless to say I had enough left over to take home and not have to cook dinner that night.

I think it goes to say that whenever my boyfriend and his friends encounter a restaurant that doesn't meet their expectations, they'll look at each other and say in unison, "At least it wasn't Chevy's". My boyfriend and I decided to give this chain one last try before putting it at the bottom of our Places-with-barely-edible-food list. We entered and the first thing I noticed was that Chevy's may have been converted into a nursing home for the Old With Birthdays population, seeing as there were elderly people everywhere and they all had sombreros, indicative of today being all of their birthdays. I took this for a good sign, and my boyfriend and I placed our orders - I got some fajita platter with tortilla soup as an appetizer, and he got a chimichanga. We got chips and salsa while we waited. The salsa wasn't bad. The chips, however, all needed viagra and some were literally pieces of soft corn tortilla. We finished our salty salty snack after 15 minutes, and asked a passing waitress if our food was coming soon. She didn't seem to know english, or she was just shocked that we weren't old people wearing sombreros. Either way, she just nodded at us and passed. Another fifteen minutes pass, and my boyfriend and I are getting hungry. The same lady who doesn't know english passes by, and I ask her if our food was coming, and if not, could she bring some better chips and salsa? She nodded, and brings us another bowl of soft corn torillas pretending to be chips, and a bowl of salsa. By this time the elevated NaCl concentration in our blood plus the effects of hunger are kicking in. My boyfriend and I start getting restless. We finish off our cihps and salsa, and that's when our food comes. The server's a new dude, and he apologizes for being so slow with the food. We see his eyes are red and we're wondering if he took a quick puff and ate our orders mistakenly. But no matter, because our food is here. My tortilla soup is 90% salt and 10% water, which wasn't very good. In addition, I'm just sick of tortilla strips at this point. I also found a gigantic hunk of hard black thing at the bottom of my bowl, which I insisted was igneous rock from a nearby volcano while my boyfriend said it was definitely melted dentures. Either way, the fajita platter was pretty sad and the tortillas all stuck together. The meat was seasoned OK, but it was pretty hard to chew and seemed like it'd been sitting out for a while. The refried beans tasted like they had been set on fire - the burnt taste was very strong. Definitely not the best place for tex-mex. But I'll probably be back after I retire so I can get my party hat.

I can some up this review quickly...if you have not been to Chevys and ordered the taquito appetizer with the jalapeño jelly sauce then you have not lived! I go to Chevys usually once a month and sometimes twice and get the same dish every single time. The crispy steak tacos are about the best thing I've eaten...ever...the taquito appetizer and the crispy steak tacos are my absolute favorite meal and I go out of my way to go to Chevys and order this. If you have not tried it, you are seriously missing out on one of the best tasting lunches you have ever had!

Website says 20% off for military. Restaurant says 10%, even though it is listed as one if the ones that do 20%. When bringing this to the manager's attention he gave us 20% but was rude about it. Our server Sophia was nice but heard to get a hold of. Waited a while for boxes and check even though it wasn't busy. Won't be back.

I've been to this Chevy's maybe 3 times over the past few years. It's the typical "Tex-Mex" you would find in Maryland. I prefer Don Pablo's but Chevy's has the most awesome chips ever and their salsa doesn't taste like it's out of a jar (even if it most likely is). Last time I was here, I ordered the chicken and steak fajitas which don't usually come with shredded cheese, but since I count dairy as basically my favorite food group, I asked for some. I assumed they'd charge me something for that but didn't. The 3 other people I was with were all happy with their (giant) meals. It's a decent choice Arundel Mills.

An update on this one - My wife and sevral others have experienced issues with their gluten allergy lately. Basically, if Steve or Laura aren't on as managers and you let them know that TJ sent you, you may receive gluten in your food. Steve goes out of his way for you though. Thanks.

I hate places that add the tip into the bill & still have room for a tip. I willing to bet that people have double tip. The don't say it's added into the bill either. The food wasn't bad but I've had better. Same thing about the drinks.

Decent chain-food Mexican, great flavors and good drinks. Margaritas here are always good, consistently more flavorful than other Mexican chains. Fajitas are what we'd recommend - freshly pressed tortillas and nicely seasoned meat. Side dishes here are some of our favorites in the area - tomalitos are delicious and worth the trip. Service is always very fast, though occasionally there is a wait during peak mall times.

Four stars currently? For what? The salsa? Yeah, the salsa is amazing. Everything else is bland and uninteresting. My boyfriend and I went here to eat dinner this past Saturday while power was out in most of the county. The whole mall was very crowded, to include Chevy's. We sat at the bar and ordered drinks while waiting for our table. I got a strawberry margarita - in a regular glass. Who wants a margarita in a mixed drink glass? I want a cool margarita glass!! And there was no salt or sugar. WTF. Then we also ordered a grande blue (forgot the actual name) margarita to share. AGAIN, served with no sugar or salt. The bartender dude SUCKED. We shouldn't of even tipped him. The shining star of the bar experience was the free chips and salsa. The salsa was the BEST SALSA I'VE EVER HAD. I looked up the recipe online later too, it's simple to make! We bought some to go even. So. Good. Get some! So, our table was called and I ordered (my fav.) a steak quesadilla and my boyfriend got a pork quesadilla. We chowed down on more chips and salsa. Mmmmm. We asked for a salsa refill which the waiter forgot. *sigh. But other than that mistake he was a nice guy and pretty helpful. Our food came and the qdilla was very bland. The guac. pile in the middle had some really unripe avocados in it since there were HARD AS A ROCK pieces. Someone doesn't know how to cook. You don't use unripened avocados in guacamole. Period. But, this is what you get at a chain restaurant. I'm becoming such a food snob but seriously, it's not a hard thing to make. And it can be delicious. A shame. The steak was also very overcooked. Ugh. My bf was very disappointed with his pork qdilla also. I hate seeing him unhappy with food, since he loves to eat lol. He commented about the tortillas which were barely cooked. They should have a bit of oil on them then fried, or even better, fried in a bit of the fat from whatever meat you were using for ultimate flavor. But who would think of that :P Blah food, blah! I will return to order salsa to go only. That's the one thing that deserves 5 stars. This place maybe could get 3 stars if the bartender was decent, but he wasn't in my experience. The food, imo is just not worth my money or yours.

Im going to be straight up here. I went to this place with my GF we had our dinner the food was pretty good. But after about 10 minutes my stomach started to hurt and i got gas. Well i go to fart and I crapped my pants in the restaurant. The food went right through me and i got sick. IDK what happened but i want to the bathroom to clean up and then had massive explosive diarrhea (I was not sick or anything it was from the food). I had to leave my underwear in the bathroom. Stay away from here unless you want to poop your pants. (note this is not the first time ive seen poopy underwear in the stalls here ive saw some in 2004 so im assuming im not the only person this happened too)

This is our standard lunch place before/after going to a movie at the mall. It's not amazingly authentic Mexican food, but it's predictable and usually tasty. The salsa is different and good, with a hint of liquid smoke or something. My favorite dish is the chicken chimichanga, which is a horribly bad-for-me calorie fest, but oh so tasty :) The fish tacos are also decent, and they have quite an extensive drink menu. Probably the best of the sit-down chain Tex-Mex restaurants.

Absolutely love the Chicken Chimichanga! I have never had a bad experience yet. I can't seem to get enough of their sweet corn.

(10/15/2011) Standard corporate Tex-Mex fare Velveeta-ed up for suburban tastes. Tastes fine as long as you don't expect to be whisked away by reminiscences of that trip to the Yucatan. Absurd portion sizes; we split an entree between 2 and couldn't finish the plate. Ground beef in the chimichanga was pretty well-seasoned; came with a side of black beans (tender, a little on the salty side) and seasoned rice (colored with probably a little tomato sauce); and garnished with small piles of pico (nice fresh chunks of jalapeno), shredded iceberg lettuce, sour cream, guac, dollop of sweet corn tamalito. Gratis salsa was heavy on the black pepper (not a bad thing) with thin, crispy, freshly-fried tortilla chips. The extra little dish of queso was pretty much melted Velveeta with salsa; good Saturday afternoon football food at the mall.

I haven't been Chevy's since I was in the 4th grade... or 5th? P.S. I'm a senior in college now... but anyways, felt like my first time there last week since I don't recall anything from back then. Salsa for the chips was really good. My food was alright, but pico de gallo and guacamole were better than some upscale tex mex places I've had, so I was impressed. I also shared a huge, I mean, HUGE strawberry margarita in addition to the food, and it was yummy!!! Service was pretty good, and the decor was just typical but the place felt friendly. I was pretty impressed with this chain! I'd come back again!

I didn't think it was possible, but even the hot sauce lacks flavor! I've been dragged to Chevy's by friends and colleagues more times than I care to remember, and every time the food was bland, bland, bland. I'm not one of those "order the hottest thing on the menu because it makes me a badass" type of guys, but it's Tex-Mex food -- it should have *something* happening in the flavor department. There honestly isn't even one dish that stands out to me; it's all just the same boring mix of bland ingredients thrown together. If you've grown accustomed to eating at Chevy's, do yourself a favor and don't look at the nutritional information on their web site. The amount calories, fat and sodium in their food was a huge surprise to me. It might be worth it if all that fat, oil, cheese, and sour cream added flavor to the food, but it doesn't. I always leave with a full stomach, but a bored palate. That being said, Chevy's has a couple of things going for it. The margaritas are large and loaded with alcohol, and the service is fast and friendly. I guess if you came for a drink or two at happy hour, it wouldn't be too bad. Despite the few bright spots, I can't look past their bland food to give Chevy's anything more than a two-star rating.

Good quality tex mex food. The salsa could be spicier but the flavor is good. Free chips and salsa are always a plus! They have awesome happy hour specials on margaritas.

Oh Tex Mex. How have I missed you! Chips and Salsa - check Large (fish bowl size) Margarita - check Steak tacos - check Random sweet corn mash - check Tex Mex satisfaction achieved. I was also surprised to learn that they have hard cider on tap! Now it's not as strong as the stuff you get in the UK. But it's pretty damn good. I may have to make another Chevy's run before I leave.

Chevy's - one of our favorite hang outs! A must try - the guacamole AND the Cabo Wabo pineapple margaritas! The southwest chicken flautas are also a favorite of ours. The one in Arundel Mills is our favorite location!

Salsa was superb! The chips are light, airy, crisp and served warm. I ordered the Plato Grande and subsituted chicken for the carnitas. Serving was huge-steak, chicken and shrimp grilled to perfection! Order came out quick and our servier was attentive and friendly. They honor coupons at this location +++!

It has been a year or two since visiting this location at Arundel Mills and I must say, I /we (along with my wife and daughter) were Wowed by our server, David and the rest of the staff here. I've always felt that good food is the minimum and the food was certainly good.... I would probably give it 4 stars just for the food. But it was the outstanding service and just friendliness that we received from the staff that really made us feel welcome and kept us smiling on Black Friday. The mall was busy, the restaurant was busy yet we felt like we were the only table. Mad Scrilla Award for value!

Agree with others. Good value and fresh guacamole make good eats. When faced with nothing but chain restaurants in the area, at least this feel like food made on premises.

I love this place its always my first choice when going out to eat! My boyfriend and I always get the same thing...the Beef Chimichanga and queso!!! I usually end up taking most of my food home because they give you so much! the prices are amazing considering how much food you get! I've never had a bad experience here the staff are always so kind and the food always come out perfect. The chips and salsa are also very good the salsa has a good kick to it and the chips are always fresh. The sweet corn is also AMAZING!!! Try the margaritas also they are super yummy and big! I just turned 21 so I've only had the cranberry one but it was super yummy.

I have to start by saying that the first experience i had at a Chevy's was in hyattsville with some co workers, need less to say i was hooked or i would not have come here. First and foremost i have to say that the wait staff has been good every time I've been. The company as a whole seems to be on top of giving you different choices of foods as the seasons change, which i think is great if you eat at one place frequently. I am a fan of Spanish and Mexican foods alike as i have worked with multiple Hispanics in my career, i really got hooked on tamales ( chicken are my favorite with the salsa Verde yum.) They have many different choices to pick from whether you want a full meal with apps like cheese dip, wings or the flautas, all good choices by the way. or you want to pick and choose what you want for me i can always get a tamale with any thing i order for only like 2 dollars. i know i said it already but there selection is pretty massive so you could eat there multiple times and not get the same thing. As for speed of service i have never had any complaints about this even during busy hours, they are very prompt about getting the food to you after ordering. So if your looking for a good Tex Mex inspired meal or just one or the other this is a great place to go whether for dinner, a snack (endless nachos and salsa, by the way if you like spicy salsa they have that too just ask) or for happy hour (try the dos equis with lime its good) give it a shot i doubt you will be unsatisfied.

The one thing I miss in Boston is Chevy's. Not sure why they all went out of business up north but this location is alive and well and situated in now busy Arundel Mills mall which is massive. The menu has always been good containing great tasting Mexican food at a reasonable price with homemade tostadas and some cool very creative drinks including great tasting Sangria and Margaritas. The staff is friendly and fast on their feet and make the visit a pleasure. I will continue to visit Chevy's everytome I pass through this area because quite frankly, I love it!

Chevy's at Arundel Mills is OK... more cookie cutter chain than anything. I have been to a few other Chevy's and they run pretty consistently with the theme and menu. The menu is average American-Mexican, standard ingredients with large, calorie-filled portions. With the competition in the area, I think they should step up the service a bit. There's really not much remarkably good or bad about this location or my meal... it's handy and I do go there a few times a year, at other people's request.

Wow, what an excellent experience at a chain restaurant. Especially at a mexican place. I was really impressed with my entire experience at Chevy's recently. Service was very friendly and quick, though it wasn't particularly busy. I ordered the carnitas fajitas which were delicious. They arrived almost disturbingly fast and were sizzling wildly on a neat curved pan on a pile of onions. Rice and refried beans where really good and the carnitas were exceptional. Huge chunks of pork, very juicy and moist with a great sweetness to them but still some body and spice. I really liked the small corn tomalito that came with the fajitas. Even the guacamole and sour cream were good! Chevy's may be my new favorite chain restaurant! For tex-mex, at least. UPDATE: additional experiences have forced me to question the consistency of Chevy's. Four stars instead of the previous 5.

Been there many times, staff is friendly and fast, however most of the times the tables, knives and forks are not so clean. Margaritas are OK, actually can be better if little more alcohol is used in them. Salsa and tortilla are fresh, tasty. My favorite is chicken-beef fajita, they make it nice, except for my last month visit. Not many desert option, but not a problem. Overall, slight better than average. Come on guys you can do this better :)

Chevy's is a great Mexican restaurant. Maybe not super authentic because it's a chain but it's delicious. My husband and I used to go there every single week. Now we're living too far to do that, but we still go there occasionally. The tortilla and salsa they give you when you arrive are delicious (but it depends on the chef, we've noticed). I recommend the Guac-My-Way where the waiter/waitress comes and prepares guacamole at your table with just-perfectly ripen avocadoes. If you plan on getting an entree (like the asparagus/mushroom fajita), keep in mind that the portion size is pretty big and can easily feed two. Downside: the place tends to be loud, especially when there are a lot of birthdays since you can get the whole crew sing for your birthday! You also get a wonderful and sexy Mexican Sombrero for the occasion :)

The portions are reallly realllly big, so bring your appetite. The food is pretty mainstream American-style Mexican food, so it's not too spicy or adventurous. Still, the avacado dip is home-made, and you have the option of having it made right there at your table. Be sure to try it. The $9 margaritas are a little pricey for a mall restaurant, and aren't that strong. The best part is the home-made tortilla chips they serve at the beginning. Crisp, fresh, and best with the avacado dip for sure.

My girlfriend and I make this Chevy's a weekly tradition. We always get the same damn thing - fish tacos - but they always come out juicy and flavorful. Service is friendly and fast considering the crowds they get, and the outdoor seating is comfy in the warmer months. And you get free chips and salsa! Only complaint is that their food can be a little greasy. Plus I once tried the asparagus fajitas and was treated to some pretty nasty veggies (I think they weren't cooked thoroughly enough). But if you stick to the safer choices, it'll likely taste pretty good.

being from california, I loved Chevy's before getting to the east coast. I must say, I'm extremely happy to see that there's at least one of these here near baltimore. I would probably have given this place 5 stars except for the bad service that i experience from time to time. I usually get the steak fajitas, which are always delicious. Also, part of the reason I love Chevy's is for the free chips and salsa at the beginning of the meal! They're awesome! service-wise, we've been misinformed from time to time. once was when we were reassured to sit outside as it was a non-smoking area. This was quickly disproved by all the ashtrays and clouds of smoke when we walked outside. Also, the wait staff are not always the most attentive, and sometimes we end up just waiting around, wondering where our waitress or waiter may have wandered off to. However, still great food and a casual environment. I'd still recommend it.

I have only eaten at the bar, but service is very good, and the fajitas are REALLY good, especially the chicken. Portions are gigantic. Chips are warm and fresh and the Avocado dip is not bad at all. One of the better mexican chains out there, definitely worth a stop if you are in the mall and hungry.

I have been to other Chevy's on the west coast and this does not compare. Food is only passable mexican. It does not seem fresh. You certainly must have better choices than this in Maryland for mexican food.

Chevys was suprisingly good for mall food! I've passed by many times while shopping at Arundel Mills and never thought to try it until this weekend. I found the free chips and salsa to be very good - the chips were hot and fresh. I had the chili lime chicken salad and really liked the dressing. I thought the "chicken salad" concept was a bit different than I expected but overall it was very tasty. My friend had some veggie fajitas that looked good and I tried her rice and beans and corn mash stuff all of which were quite good! I thought for a mall place the service was very good - 2nd round of chips came fast (and free again) and the server was very friendy and on top of drink refills. Overall a good value for what it is (Tex-Mex that is).

Mexican Cuisine

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.

Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.
