Old reliable is still a pleaser. The food is good. Not too loaded with sodium. AND you always get enough to feel satisfied. I wish it were a tad bit closer.

When I saw that there was domburi on the menu, I was super-excited to try this restaurant. Call me strange but I enjoy eating my dinner out of one container whether it be a ginormous bowl or a Styrofoam box. Sadly, my unagi domburi which came in a lacquer box was less than impressive. The unagi was drenched in sauce and there wasn't enough rice. On the other hand, my friend's chicken and egg domburi looked like it was going to burst out of its box. My other friend quite enjoyed her yaki soba. It was unlike any yaki soba I had before, the noodles being thicker and reminded me more of lo mein but it was still tasty amidst its identity crisis. Obviously, I chose poorly with my meal but I'll give the restaurant the benefit of the doubt and rate 4 stars. If I were to make another visit, I'd try out the chirashi, sushi or something else. Our sever was friendly and attentive with our drinks. The hibachi grill sounded exciting...I guess. While we were in the restaurant area, I actually forgot that there was a hibachi until raucous, frat party like noises came from behind. The sushi bar looks nice and a good place to chill alone or with a friend. Checking out the lunch menu available during the work week, the prices are reasonable enough that I'm jealous I can't visit this place to work through the menu to discover what treasures it might hold.

So good. Hibachi is great, sushi is great. I've been going here since 2006 and I've yet to have anything to complain about. Easily the best Japanese/Hibachi restaurant in Hagerstown.

Love their food, but I can only afford the lunch specials! Lower your prices just a little bit, please! You're losing the dedicated regulars!

If you've been to one Japanese steakhouse, you've been to them all as far as form and format. We ate on the sushi bar side. The nigiri sushi was fresh and flavorful - 4 stars. More interestingly, we had some very tasty and unique house specialty rolls, e.g., spicy tuna with a hot crab (chunks!) sauce on top so 5 stars for that. Service was very sloooooooow and the place was only 1/3 full on a Saturday night. The bottom line is if you're in Hagerstown and want sushi, it's a good place to go. But don't do expecting to have a WOW experience. That said, I would go again.

I have to say after reading many of the reviews I was excited to enjoy the sushi at Kobi, but whoa, what a disappointment. First I wills tart with the order. I called it in because I was eating it out, and while I know this is not the best way to enjoy sushi, I haven't really ever had an issue with it before. I studied the menu straight from their online site and when I called and started ordering, it was like they had no clue as to what I was talking about. I ordered a Chefs Special, which is pretty much a Philly and an Indy and they had no clue what I was talking about. In fact they asked if I called Kobe and I said yes that I was looking right at their menu. So after a detained description of my order, I picked it up. Restaurant was clean and the bar looked like a great place to go and sit. When I sat down to eat, I was very disappointed. The avocado was not fresh at all, plenty of brown and black to go around, The salmon was definitely old, and the overall taste was just not appeasing. The soy sauce was also very bitter and left a poor taste in the mouth. I consider myself a sushi eater and will pass the next time I'm in the area.

Kobe has sushi, various japanese offerings and that teppanyaki style where the chef comes out and cooks on a grill in front of you. I personally don't like all that drama at a meal, but certainly some people do. But Kobe also has regular table seating and a sushi bar as well. There sushi is good, but a little pricey. They have some fried rice specials at lunch too, and judging from my colleagues meals, this is the way to go if you are after a big lunch. Kobe is owned by a Japanese guy and his Korean wife, and their sons frequently staff the register. The waitresses are all Korean though, and this is frequently the reason I visit, because they are all so friendly (one lady is even from the small town in Korea that I lived in, small world!). If you are in H-town and you want some sushi, you can't go wrong here.

Stopped by this place on my way back home from Wisp - saw the great reviews on Yelp so decided to try it. Didn't regret it at all, food and service were great! I would have given it 5 stars but the rolls were much too large and parking is horrible during the dinner rush. My husband ordered the chicken teriyaki and it came with soup and salad. The dinner portion was large and he even had trouble finishing it but it looked very yummy! I ordered sushi - tuna tataki appetizer, yellowtail sashimi appetizer, and several rolls that I can't remember the names of. All of the sushi tasted fresh so I don't think you'd go wrong with anything you decide to order. The sushi appetizers were really good, if you're a fan of yellowtail or tuna - order those appetizers. For 2 sushi appetizers, 1 dinner entree, and 4 rolls we paid $85.00. For 3 people this wasn't crazy for us but may be pricey for some. Cute decor and was very busy during dinner time - reservations recommended. This would be a nice place to take your date to. If I'm ever in the area, I would go again.

My husband and I have eaten sushi all over the world and we like House of Kobe very much. The food was fresh, creative and reasonably priced. We were surprised when we got our tab considering the amount of food we ordered and the amount of sake and beer we drank...for the two of us it was approx $65. The place was very busy on a Saturday night and I generally take that as a good sign overall.

Sushi is an art. Hibachi is a talent. House of Kobe excels at both. On our visit there we went with a large group (9) and had hibachi table all to ourselves. The chef was amusing, though I've certainly had better. Perhaps he hadn't had as much saki as other chef's I've encountered. The sushi was very good and I would say well priced, especially compared to its north east counterparts. The sake menu is limited while they do have several Japanese beers on hand.

I ate at the sushi bar. I'm giving a rare 5 stars because of what this restaurant represents and where it is. The sashimi had freshness, quality and generous cuts, served with shaved daikon and decorated with shiso leaf. Well done. As the other reviewer said, "go enjoy"!

I only had sushi from Kobe and the rice was seasoned very well. The flavor of the rice was not over whelming nor bland. The ingredients used were fresh and didn't have the fishy smell. The price is about average. Family owned and I was impressed the lady at the register remembers a lot of customers name which means they have a lot of repeat business. Not located at the most convenient location but will make the drive for quality food.

The oldest and best place in town for sushi, hibachi, and Japanese food. A fave of the locals to celebrate birthdays and special events. Excellent for groups! Authentic, not trendy, as opposed to some of the newer Japanese restaurants that have come along in town. Great lunch prices! It's always filled with business people..seems to be a fave of those in the legal and law enforcement community. Lunch is usually busy but they are always quick to serve you. The miso soup is excellent. Their house salad with the cabbage, carrots, and dressing is out-of-this-world! They even sell bottles of the dressing to go, which we have bought several times. I love their Bulgoki (korean style sweet beef and vegetables) and the Chicken Teriyaki. The rice served with the meals is great! Had sushi here on several occasions and it's top-notch, fresh, creative, and they have a huge variety. For a real fan of sushi, you need to sit at the sushi-bar and interact with the chefs as they work their magic. If you are looking for an old-school Japanese restaurant, in terms of the food and the experience, this is the place to go!

Why am I just now writing a review on this place! I have been coming to this place for the past 10 years, and it has yet to disappoint. I come here pretty much anytime I visit home, so about once every couple of months or so. The sushi here is very fresh and appetizers are really good as well. The owners are great and always give us complimentary ice cream....they are just really sweet people. Things to try when you are here: Green Tea Tempura Appetizer House of Kobe Salad (dressing is killer) Hand Wraps & just about anything off their Sushi Menu Red Bean/Green Tea Ice Cream (sounds weird, right! It is pleasantly soothing and not too rich.) Try it ,and I am sure it won't disappoint!

I love sushi and I was very satisfied coming here! At first we didn't see sushi on the menu and had to ask specifically for the sushi menu (they probably thought we didn't want it because we're white) JK...anyways. PLENTY of sushi/sashimi/tempura rolls to choose from. We must've gotten like 8 different kinds and they were all delicious. The miso soup is good too but there are mushrooms instead of seaweed and tofu. Staff is also very friendly. Definitely a great sushi spot

My husband and I had dinner there. We got several sushi rolls, which we only ate maybe half of. They were not very good. The Hollywood roll is awful; expected a crunchy roll, as advertised, got a soft roll of a mayonnaise mush mixture. We also got the seafood combo platter. The best on it was the scallops (which were undercooked) and the salmon (which was drowning in teriyaki). The fried oysters were disgusting. It was like putting a fried ball of warm water in your mouth. The fish didn't seem fresh and we were highly disappointed. Never going back.

I've been to House of Kobe twice since I've been coming to Hagerstown, and both trips have been very good. I've always gone sushi, so I can't speak to the hibachi, but other reviewers have you covered for that. Chirachi was $23.95 and came with a high quality, but relatively standard assortment. It included Hokkigai, 3 types of salmon(smoked, raw, & seared), maguro, tai, tamago, ebi, ika, tobiko, kani, and a few others that I couldn't identify. The tuna steals the show in the bowl; dark-red, high quality...doesn't have the watery, previously-frozen taste at all. The seaweed salad is also a large enough portion to split. The nigiri list is substantial, and the maki look interesting as well, but nothing mind-blowing. Although I didn't sit at the sushi bar, it looks appealing and the sushi chefs seem friendly as well. Even if House of Kobe was located outside of Hagerstown, it would still be competitive. If you're in the mood for sushi and you're in the area, don't be afraid.

The fried rice here is to die for. There are three Japanese restaurants in Hagerstown, but this one has been here the longest, and for good reason. Worth a try! The Hibachi is fun if you're looking for some entertainment, but their standard menu items are delicious.

Hmm - I suppose I should have read the reviews here and stuck with ordering sushi. But wanting more rice, I ordered the donburi - rice bowl - & they ruined it by flavoring it with a sweet sauce, and adding a bunch of frozen carrots among other unwanted vegetables. The tempura was great though. I have been here once before a year ago & tried the hibachi - it was just fine. The staff is very nice, and of course an ice-cold Kirin to wash down the food is always a delight.

30 May 2012 7:15 PM Accessibility: Right off of Dual Highway. parking places. 5 Stars Atmosphere: It has the typical Hibachi type grill, Small Sushi bar and other dinner tables. Nice little place. We ate at the Hibachi Grill as we like the food at the grill and the Grill Master Presentations! 5 Stars Customer Service: We were greeted immediately as we walked in the door and asked where we wanted to sit. There were just two of us and sometimes Hibachi Grills prefer more of a crowd. But Kobe has numerous smaller Grills for smaller groups and parties. We were immediately joined by another couple, but I did sense that the restaurant would would have started the Grill without another couple. Both the waitress and the Grill Master were very cheerful and happy. Same old jokes at the Hibachi Grill but attended to all of our needs. This is a great place for a group or the family! 5 Stars Menu: We did not eat the Sushi as that is not for us. But after looking at the menu and eating at the Hibachi Grill, we were impressed. We received a lot of food for the money. You will get your money's worth! The salad was nice, light and the dressing was awesome! Soup was good and a little "heavier" than most egg drop soups. But it was very good and I ate it all. The Grill Master made all the appetizers. They were very good but almost had no time to eat? I had the steak and shrimp and my Husband had the Pork and Shrimp. The appetizer was the shrimp. But we did not have time to really eat the appetizer because as soon as the appetizer hit the dish, the main meal was right behind it. Shortly after that and a couple bites the last shrimp rounded the table in air flying fashion from the grill to the mouth. The steak I had was not too bad, surprisingly so. And more tender than I thought. While pretty much flank steak, they seasoned it tasty and better than other Hibachi Grills we have been to in Frederick. pork also great favors. We did have so much food left and had great leftovers the next day. The presentation was fast but cold have been because it was just two couples and we were interested in ourselves. If you have never been to a Hibachi Grill in Hagerstown, you should go. This is fun and it will support the local community. 4 Stars Sauces: Typical three types but the all had a little extra spice it seemed. I really liked those spices and you will too. 5 Stars Other Tables: We saw a group of tables usually with a lot of people. It was easy to see that everyone really enjoyed the Hibachi show. Especially the restaurant catered to the kids. Bring them and they will enjoy! 5 Stars Question: Would we return or recommend? Sure. we would come but probably with a group or just to sit in the main room. Not bad. Not a weekly place for us, but definitely one to repeat on those special occasions! 5 Stars

Love this place! Fanastic sushi and roll selection! Fresh and imaginative creations made by friendly chefs. Sit at the bar if you don't want to wait. They also have hibachi and although I haven't had that yet, it looks popular with the local folks. All around great for sushi!

Great sushi at reasonable prices. We particularly enjoy the tempura-fried sweet potato rolls. Nice presentation, decent atmosphere, friendly and attentive service. Good for carry-out too. We always leave full and having spent less than anticipated.

I frequent here quit a bit for lunch and/or dinner. Usually sit at the sushi bar. The service has always been well above average. The food is always great. IMO the sushi has always been top shelf but my last trip something changed a little. The usual sushi I would order had an extra something added. I think they have a new sushi chef adding his own flare and it's a welcome addition! Looking forward to my next visit.

Best sushi in DC Area (yes, in Hagerstown)! My mouth is watering as I write this. Recommendations: 1. Green tea ice cream 2. Spicy whitefish/tuna 3. Double ecstasy roll (yowser!) 4. Shabu shabu or sukiyaki (not sushi, but a good hot pot dish) 5. Any nigri sushi 6. Spider roll (soft shell crab)

I'm not going to lie, when you think of sushi in Hagerstown -- well, you don't. Came here last week with my boyfriend and his brother and I was beyond pleasantly surprised by the quality, service and atmosphere of House of Kobe. The fish was excellent - super fresh tuna and the rolls were pretty decent size. Between the 3 Sapporo's, 4 rolls, salads and edamame what would cost us easily $100 in the District was around $65 with tax and tip. Such a bargain, but much better quality! I know the Hibachi is sort of gimmicky, but I want to try it next time I'm up there. Overall, great value! Will be back.

I am down in Hagerstown twice a week and have been since May and been meaning to try this place as an AVID HIBACHI GOER. Please before reading this understand I am not a hibachi snob but I do know what great hibachi style food tastes like (search: Wasabi - LaVale) Went in on a Tuesday night after work to try hibachi and a sushi roll. Bill came to $28. ATMOSPHERE: (9/10) This place is very nice and friendly. They sat us quickly and were very nice. There are glasses made of glass, cloth napkins, and everything is clean and high class. The waiters and waitresses are dressed nice and always come back to refill your water. FOOD: (4/10) Please stay with me here: The hibachi comes with salad and soup. The soup was different- kind of a beef based soup. The salad was covered in sweet dressing which wasn't good. Don't get me wrong: this place LOADS you up with food. I ordered the hibachi chicken with an extra side of rice. The rice was triple what I normally receive at other places, and the chicken and vegetables were HUGE portions as well. HOWEVER, there is no excuse for under-seasoning and undercooking. The rice was soggy and not seasoned and very bland- same with the chicken. It was just plain average. I also ordered sushi and a volcano roll here isn't a volcano roll I'm used to with tempura shrimp and spicy mayo, this was raw. It's my fault for not asking. So I can't speak to sushi here. I feel bad giving this place a 2/5 - I really do, the cook was nice, the waitress was nice, and it was a nice joint but I find myself making excuses for its lackluster and just plain average food. I would recommend this place if you're looking for a huge portion, but willing to sacrifice quality for quantity. Just not for me.

This is the first and best Sushi restaurant in Hagerstown. We had the always amazing Agedashe Tofu which is sweet and savory with the best sauce I've had for an appetizer. For the main course I had a vegetarian Futomaki Roll which is so big it almost doesn't fit in one bite. It has just the right amount of crunch from the asparagus, creaminess from avocado and freshness from the cucumber. I also had a tofu roll which is warm and savory with a bit of Ginger. The staff is so friendly and the atmosphere subdued and relaxed. I recommend getting the saki in a box which is such a surprise I won't give it away. The tradition came from the war and a google search will fill you in.

Service was excellent, sushi was ok. The volcano roll is to be completely avoided. It was overloaded with wasabi, and I'm a pro at spiciness, I couldn't take it. Made me choke. The freshness was ok. I really don't need to go back. Probably won't, and it wouldn't be a shame. I didn't get to look at their regular menu, but I heard it's very good.

Sub-par at best. If you are an avid sushi lover who knows good sushi when you eat it, this is not the place for you. Some of the worst sushi I've had. HOWEVER, That's not saying anything else on the menu isn't delicious. The party at the table next to us ordered hot dishes, and the plates smelled very good. Hibachi could be an experience, but I'd steer clear of the sushi.

Hands down, my favorite restaurant! I can't sing Kobe' s praises enough. The staff are great and friendly. I've been going there for several years. It's extremely clean and the food is fresh and phenomenal. For those who love sushi as much as I do; I highly recommend these rolls- *Gator Roll *Dragon Roll *Japanese Bagel *Lobster Roll *Rock n Hand Roll *Crazy Roll *Kobe Roll Kobe' s gyoza, yakitori, salmon teriyaki, & shrimp/steak/scallop hibachi is the best around too!

As a present to my daughter after a concert out in the middle of nowhere West Maryland, I found this place listed. It had good reviews and so I thought we'd give it a shot. Pulling in, we were a little wary, as the place was empty and yet we had to wait a good 15 minutes before being seated. Well, moving past that little delay, this place is GREAT! First of all, their prices are lower than your usual chains down in the DC-Baltimore area. Not necessarily cheap, but since you're in cow-tipping country out here the cost of everything drops. Second, their portions are much bigger than other Teppanyaki-style places. We had plenty to fill us there AND brought leftovers home. Third, their chefs are AWESOME. You know how you go to these places, expecting to be entertained? Well, they did their job right here! Turns out our chef worked at a variety of these restaurants throughout Maryland, and he sure knew what he was doing. He also had a great, if unpolished, sense of humor that made the evening wonderful. So, lower priced food, larger portions, and skilled chefs? I can easily join the others and recommend using House of Kobe if you want some good Teppanyaki!

House of Kobe is the best restaurant for sushi in the area. I love sashimi and the fish is always very fresh. Coming from San Diego, I'm kinda a fish snob, but Kobe always comes thru. The rolls are delicious and different as well. I would recommend the scallop nadare. It is a spicy scallop roll with scallop mixed with spicy mayo and roe on top. FIVE stars. The house salad is always tasty and different from the cheap lettuce you normally receive everywhere else. The dressing is creamy and slightly tangy. I get a large salad every time. The owners are always very accommodating. I rarely sit at the hibachi table but when I have the service is just as good.

House of Kobe was a delightful surprise. We stopped here at an odd time (2:30 on a Tuesday) and we were the only customers. We sat down for hibachi and were promptly served an excellent salad and miso soup. Their take on both is unique. Neither were what I had come to expect from eating at many other hibachi restaurants. I ordered a large combo, including tuna, steak, and scallops with fried rice. Everything was perfectly cooked and seasoned and the chef was very nice.

I'm more disappointed with the other reviews of this place than I am with the service.. And that says a lot. There was not one aspect of my time at this shack of an establishment that I would even consider remotely acceptable. I went here for a double date for Valentine's Day, and by the time the night was over I found myself apologizing for the ruined night. After waiting for over and hour (after our reservation time) to be seated at the Hibachi table, we settled for the dining room because it was the next available option. Another half hour passed before anyone even showed up at our table -- only to pour four glasses of water in dirty glasses. After another thirty minutes of waiting, a very rude waitress (Oki) finally took our food order, but for some reason refused to take our drink orders. Another hour has passed and we still haven't been served anything but water and the dish soap they call "Miso Soup." The owner (Massi) has procured us some drinks and tells us we'll have our food soon, but we're still sitting here hungry. I warn you all, do not waste your time and money here. You will definitely regret it.

The food is classic Japanese; sushi & hibachi. The hibachi show is not the best, so if you're bringing first timers or children, you're better off heading into Frederick to Myako. The miso soup is good, the salad okay & the entrees quite delicious.

We use to eat here quite often but the last few times people in our group have gotten sick from what we feel is the yum yum sauce. The people who ate the sauce had vomiting and diarrhea. It has happened on two occasions and I felt compelled to share this information. Other than that, this place has great food and service but beware of the yum yum sauce.

I love Japanese Steakhouses with a Hibachi grill. So I may be a little biased. With that being said, this place was legit. Prices were more reasonable than other Japanese steakhouse/hibachi grills that I've been to. We went as a family, wife and two kids (one being a baby) and although the baby was a little scared she loved the show as well. Food was of good quality and the employees and management were all nice, personable, and professional. I would definitely return but make sure you have some money. Dinner will run between $20-$30 per person. They also have a sushi bar.

Business lunch, quick service, price is very reasonable. You need to ask for sushi menu other than that you can order to fixed menu or bento box. The combo platter is typical chines style meal- fried rice, meat and vegetable. Carbs restricted diet not a place for you unless you just want sashimi

I've eaten here in the past, my wide has really enjoyed her visits here. I'm kinda inbetween I don't mind going but there are certainly better restaurants in the area that do so much better at the same cuisine. Kenzos in Chambersburg I can not fault at all. My mother in law also loves this place. Maybe it's me that is in the wrong. They love it, I can give or take it. I'm in the minority so four stars is fair.

It's been 14 years since I started going to House of Kobe. In the years past, I'd been a regular, dining in several times a month. I don't live in Hagerstown anymore, but I visit my parents at least once a year, and we've kept the tradition of going for a family meal here at least once during each of my visits. I think we always will, as long as my parents live in this town. The fish is always fresh, and really, everything is simple. They don't overdo anything, which is probably why I've never tired of this place. Even their more fusiony sushi rolls are not dressed with a thousand and one ingredients. My favorite among these rolls is the Mexican Paradise. It has the warmth and the slight crisp, saltiness, sweetness, and richness of the eel on the inside, and the coolness and smoothness of the avocado on the outside, lightly drizzled with a sweet sauce that enhances all the great flavors even more. I'm also quite fond of their banana tempura with red bean ice cream. The banana tempura is always fried and glazed to perfection, and the earthiness of the red bean ice cream takes it to a different level of delicious. If you're not a fan of raw fish, you can still enjoy many different options: steak and shrimp, chicken skewers, tofu. Their agedashi tofu is delicious -- thinly breaded, deep-fried, and soaked in a bowl of ginger and sweet soy sauce. It has a very balanced flavor, although the tofu gets very soggy. Of course, there's also the hibachi tables, where delicious meals come with entertainment. Their hibachi chefs perform and cook your meats and fried rice well, although they rarely get the right tangent when tossing that little piece of shrimp into your open mouth just before they finish cooking. It's fun, though! They treat you well here, too, especially if you're a regular. It's a small-town restaurant after all. The only trouble sometimes is parking on the weekends -- but that's probably true for many great restaurants!

Really good sushi! I stopped by this Sushi house on the way home from a road trip and had a great lunch. I ordered the House of Kobe salad which I thought was going to be the traditional Hibachi ginger salad but instead was small bed of lettuce and noodles in a creamy mayonnaise based dressing. Unexpected but good nonetheless. For sushi, I ordered the California roll (with real crab meat and not the imitation stick), the Monster roll and the Scallop Nadare. The sushi tasted very fresh and was all very good. I liked that they offered the California roll with real crab met, after all this is Maryland! I didn't care too much for the black tobiko all over the Monster roll but it was easy to take off. The Scallop Nadare came out hot and the scallops were cooked in a warm cream/cheese sauce which made for an interesting experience but pretty yummy. Great place to stop for sushi! Unique flavors make for a good sushi experience.

After reading good reviews, we decided to try it. I'm always wary of reviews for restaurants in Hagerstown. The lack of good restaurants makes people settle and like the mediocre. I believe this is the case with Kobe. First of all, service is horrendous! Slow, forgetful and rude. The food was ok. We had hibachi and appetizers. Nothing special. I would not come back.

It was my birthday, so my bestie took me out for some sushi and hibachi. These guys know how to put on a show! The waitress was super nice, the hibachi guy was hilarious and the food was pretty darn good. I'm not going to rave about the food as it was your average sushi place, average sushi price.Nothing over the top expensive which is always good. I ordered the hot sake, philly and volcano rolls, and salmon hibachi. If my friend was writing the review she would say "the sake tastes like gasoline" but that's just cause she doesn't have the extensive pallet that I do. Oh, and she doesn't like saki - that might be it too. It was a pretty quick experience - we weren't waiting forever, the grill man did a fantastic job and had props! Like legit Carrot Top props. He even flipped my water glass around without a drop spilled! Better then Carrot Top one would say! I recommend if you are in the area, but if you are up by me in Harrisburg/Mechanicsburg don't make a special trip as there are a few more comparable places for the same price here.

My husband pigged out on maguro tuna and salmon sashimi with a teriyaki steak bento box that came with soup, salad, pork dumplings, and his steak cooked perfectly medium rare, with a little pineapple and orange slices on the side. I tried the chicken hibachi which was very tasty and served with soup, salad and a healthy helping of mixed stir fried vegetables. Dessert was a very creamy green tea ice cream. Our service was wonderful, many refills and the chance to explain some less well known English words. Bathrooms very clean.

New to area & found on yelp. Ate there twice, both take out. Only ordered sushi so far. Usually get California Roll, Japanese Bagel (salmon, cream cheese) & Shrimp Tempura. Great both times & will most likely take friends there. Down side, both times I've gone to pick up its empty which makes me think its not gonna be open in a few times but that's just my opinion.

No disappointments here. We came at 6:00 on a Saturday expecting a wait but were pleasantly surprised with none at all. We ordered the Gyoza and Clear Soups and they had them out pretty quickly with an ample amount of time until the main dishes were out. The amount of food you get with the Fried Rice dishes is ridiculously huge and for $9 you can't go wrong. The Gyoza is some of the best we've had with a very smooth taste. They were very expeditious in refilling our drinks and were quick in every other aspect. We really have no complaints.

Surprisingly, this restaurant has very good sushi. I say surprisingly, because this is Hagerstown after all. The freshness of the sushi is very good and the amount of fish they give you is sizable. I especially like their sashimi. I've eaten sushi all over the world, and I must say, House of Kobe is a weekly staple for me and I highly recommend it to others.
