Classic Americanized authentic Chinese food! Very good food and great service! At a very reasonable price! Awesome place and order there often for lunches or dinners, it's great food in hagerstown! Have great soups, and entrees too

The food is very bland. I ordered the Mongolian beef combo platter. The pork fried rice was just so tasteless. If anyone has eaten Chinese from restaurants in the city (Baltimore, DC, NYC), you know what I'm talking about. The staff was friendly; however I doubt I'll be back. I'm depressed now ; (

This is really good food. The soup is delicious as are the entrees. And you easily get enough for two meals.

My first experience at this restaurant was amazing! When trying out a new Chinese restaurant, I like to mix it up and see how the restaurant performs when preparing western fare like General Tso's Chicken and more traditional fare such as Steamed Meat Dumplings(Jiaozi). We went on a Thursday evening, ordered the Combination platter that comes with an entree, pork fried rice, soup and an egg roll plus dessert for around $15.00. We opted to have steamed white rice instead. Food was hot, and arrived to the table in a timely manner. We also had the steamed meat dumplings, which were phenomenal. They seem to be made in house. I would definitely recommend this place for those who love quality Chinese Food

The last time I went here was years ago and I have not been back since that visit. Prior to that visit years ago, this restaurant offered great Chinese food, but the last time the shrimp were severely undercooked and the rice was actually hard and inedible. Upon speaking with someone, the lady said the shrimp were cooked, and that nothing was wrong. I could not finish my meal. I never complain about a meal, I am always happy and grateful for food that's my nature, but this was appalling. The strawberry daquiri tasted like bathroom products smell. I have not eaten here for at least 4 years, maybe they have improved but I doubt it.

Service was good but my sesame chicken sucks.... =_= Hey, I'm a Chinese so I know what kind of food I'm looking for. Yeah Americanized Chinese food, but still, it is not as delicious as the other Chinese restaurants around here.

Tasteless food. Undercooked cabbage in egg rolls that were loaded with grease. Sweet and sour sauce diluted...Ugg! Won't go back.

We've been getting solid good meals from Hong Kong for years. This is a family run establishment and it shows. Joan the head waitress will memorize your favorite order and give a couple of digs to ya along the way. They custom Taylor our orders to our vegetarian lifestyle and go out of their way to accommodate us. Generous portions and caring attention to detail.

From the outside the restaurant appears like its better days are behind it, but that is far from the case. The inside of the restaurant is kept clean and it shows (although the carpet is ready to be replaced). The staff was probably the most attentive we've found in a restaurant - but not to the point of intrusive. The older waitress knows many of customers by name and does a great job making you feel important and cares about good service. The staff worked well together and everyone was friendly and inviting. The food was freshly made, and not your greasy Americanized Chinese food. The Hunan Beef & Scallops was good and the Curried Chicken was delicious! We were happy with the meal, the service and we will be back. Our only regret is that after all these years, we've never stopped by here before!

Exact time we go here we try something different. Tonight I had curry chicken and my husband had pork with garlic sauce. Both meals were delicious, they were combination meals, which includes, pork fried rice, soup and desert. Needless to say we have lunch for tomorrow now as well. Everything is home made.

These folks deliver but I don't know their range. They have killer Hot & Sour Soup. All of their food is good.

Food was not that great. Service was bad. Had an issue when paying at the counter that took 15 minutes to sort out due to the language barrier and lack of server's willingness to help. Ambiance is horrible. We will not be returning. There are far better Chinese restaurants in the area. We were surprised ....considering how long Hong Kong has been in Hagerstown and how many people seem to be regulars.

Chinese Cuisine

The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.

Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.

There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city.
