Mexican Cuisine
If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.
Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.
Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.

Nasty place. I was craving some delicious Authentic Mexican food but nothing good pans out on this side of town. I had to give this place a shot. Their steak burritos were nasty. The meat tasted like rubber. I had to spit it out every time I took a bite. At first I thought it was a bad piece, but the whole thing? I would never be back. I wouldn't say it's Mexican food, but a burrito comes close.

Yes, I'm reviewing Chipotle. 3 stars for being Chipotle and some solid food. Unofficial 2 stars for having really weird service. I swear, every time I ask for a "little" sour cream, that means 2/3 of a cup instead of a full cup of fatty deliciousness. I don't even want to KNOW the calorie count after they're done creaming it up. If Chipotle weren't so freaking delicious, I'd probably be completely turned off by watching them prepare my food at this particular location. Once, I ordered a veg bowl with sofritas, which they just plopped on top looking kinda like a pile of vom. Last time I was here, they put all the stuff for my burrito together, then realized the tortilla was torn. Grabbed a new tortilla, slopped all the filling from my previous one into the new tortilla, squeezing it out of the old tortilla like an empty tube of toothpaste. Then she dumped MORE sour cream on since it was "all to one side." It was just really disgusting to watch. That being said, I still heart Chipotle. It's delicious. Just don't watch them prepare it. IGNORANCE IS BLISS!

The management staff needs to teach their employees basic customer service skills. A girl had the audacity to correct when when saying mozzarella cheese. What does it matter if she still know what I was talking about? The comment was both rude and uncalled for in this particular situation.I thought the snide remark speaks volumes about the nastiness of the local females in the local community. Why is it so hard to be a decent human being in Maryland?

Fresh, REAL no chemicals in my food! This is why I go to Chipotle if I am looking for healthy food fairly quick. The location is very conveniently located right off Interstate 81 near several other traditional strip mall stores. The food isn't very consistent because it is FRESH. I think most people are so used to the prepackaged preprocessed food served in most chain restaurants that they don't realize if humans prep and portion then its going to be different every time!! Although a little different each time I have never been disappointed. Also, I LOVE HOT wings but am not a huge spicy food fan. Their "mild" can be really spicy and other times just the wonderful mild heat that I enjoy. Chalk it up to humans prepping and go with it. I always enjoy a bowl and usually can't finish the portion. They do go a little light on the meat but then your not there for a bowl full of animal? Are you? I have never been on the other end of a stingy hand, spoonfuls of delicious fresh salsa, guacamole, lettuce, beans and rice. It is a bit much $1.50 for guacamole but YUMMO I feel its worth it. Little stingy on the tiny cup of salsa with your chips. There is a tiny patio outside with 2 or 3 tables overlooking the parking lot area, which is a great spot for eating in the great outdoors. It doesn't have a view but you can at least enjoy being outside. The indoor dining feels small. There are 2 main dining areas split by the condiments bar, and some bar stool seating along the windows by the side wall of the restaurant. Cleanliness is very well maintained at Chipotle, never a messy floor or dirty table have I seen. Go there...you'll like it!

App works great! Didn't have to wait in line! Very happy!

Pretty standard Chipotle. I usually come here on my lunch break and it can get pretty busy at times, but the line usually moves pretty quickly. Friendly staff and I've never had any issues with my food.

Great food , have to wait but it's worth it. Honest staff returned lost wallet to customer !

Let me begin by saying that I'm a Chipotle fanatic. Their football sized burritos are part of my Sunday routine; you might say that I'm religious about it. (har har) However...I hate the Hagerstown Chipotle. Really hate it. As other reviewers have said, they're very inconsistent. I know what my burrito is going to taste like in Frederick or Rockville; Hagerstown is a craps shoot. But I think my real issue with this particular Chipotle has to do with my fellow patrons. Allow me to offer a few pointers: - Try to have at least a general idea of what you're going to order before you get to the counter. We've all been waiting in line for 10 minutes, and now I have to stand behind you while you agonize over whether you're going to get Chicken or Steak?!? You couldn't have given that a little thought ahead of time? - No one person is able to order six burritos at once. You're going to get confused, you're going to confuse the employees, and you're going to irritate the person behind you who thought there was only one person ahead of him. Please, no more than two burrito orders per person. - Yes, guacamole is $1.50 extra. - No, you can't have more meat! Stop whining and move along! - For the love of God, don't reach over the sneeze guard to point at the food. The barrier is there for a reason, namely, I don't want your fingers touching something I'm about to put in my mouth. I could go on, but I'll leave it at that. To be clear, these problems exist here and there at every Chipotle, but Hagerstown is by far the worst offender I've experienced.

This location is very conveniently located right off Interstate 81 near Walmart in the same shopping center as Best Buy and Starbucks. The food can be hit or miss, which is a huge disappointment after years of waiting for our own Chipotle here in Hagerstown, and many trips to their Frederick location. Portions vary greatly too, depending on what time of day and who is working the line. There is a tiny patio outside with 2 or 3 tables overlooking the parking lot area. Unfortunately, it's proximity to the interstate makes it rather noisy and not the best fresh air space. The indoor dining area is smaller than other Chipotles I've been to. There are 2 main dining areas split by the condiments bar, and some bar stool seating along the windows by the side wall of the restaurant. They have an awesome sound system, with tons of Bose speakers overhead. A tip for families: if your kids won't eat from Chipotle menu there is a Mcdonalds near Borders, and lots of families tote happy meals into the restaurant for their children. Chipotle does offer small quesadillas for kids, and you can also get a side of rice or beans instead of the larger menu items.

The steak burrito bowl is my fav! Could eat it every day of the week...no lie lol. Love this place!

I love Chipotle. This location seemed more disorganized than usually (which appears to be backed up by other reviewers). They have a strange window off to the right where you pick up your online orders, but struggled to explain it to me and it wasn't visible from the line. It was kind of odd. My food was made accurately (I ordered online), and was the standard, tasty, Chipotle fare.

This is the worse Chipotle we have ever been to. We keep giving it a try as we LOVE Chipotle but they continue to disappoint. The food flavors are minimal compared to other area Chipotles. And it is always dirty and the plastic ware is always empty. The other day I witnessed the cashier girl go to the trash cans get dirty red baskets for burritos and start putting new papers in serving to new customers. Disgusting! !!! There is always a line to the door with a typical 10-15 wait. The other day we waited 40 Minutes to order food! !!!! The stacks of dirty steam pans are ridiculous everytime we go there It is obvious that this store can not keep up to the demand in hagerstown md. I've written to the main office many times. They respond quickly with they will look into it. I surely hope they do it soon. As we no longer go to this store instead we drive 30+ minutes to the Chambersburg store. What a world of difference!

The food quality and even the price-- 5 Stars!!! The physical presentation is bad, especially OUTSIDE. The outside patio is always neglected and the ground is always dirty and terribly stained. Once, I went inside and asked them to come clean it because people are eating out there. They looked like I was talking crazy and sent someone out who did not look down, simply picked up a bit of trash near the door. There needs to be someone who comes out often and wipes the tables and sweeps. At the end of the day they need to treat the ground with a wet solution. Also, ordering on- line ordering is disatrous! Incomplete orders and you have to wait for them to fix it when you arrive.

I ate your food yesterday and the tomatoes were disgusting, and mushy, and this morning on my birthday, I have vomited the burrito bowl I ate. Thank you!

When a vegetarian orders a veggie burrito & finds it contains chicken... Either the staff are being disrectful to people's beliefs or they don't take enough care with their food. When it is brought to their attention, an apology is the least one could expect. A shrug is not an apology. If you have a allergy you could be playing with your health/life by eating here. AVOID!

I love Chipotle, but I absolutely despise the Hagerstown location. This is the slowest, most inefficient, poorly managed, Chipotle I've ever been too! Consistently takes 40 minutes or longer to get through the line, since they can barely manage to serve two customers in five minutes. It's faster to drive 20 minutes to the Chambersburg location and eat there, than it is to suffer through the unnecessary line in Hagerstown. If I never go to the Hagerstown Chipotle again, it'll be too soon. BTW, I had time to download the Yelp app on my phone, reset my password, and write this review while standing in line... I've moved about six feet! Cutting my losses and leaving!!!

Unfortunately, I had a poor experience at this location. I'm a huge fan of Chipotle, but to my disappointment this specific location off of 81 had some pretty crappy employees. No chicken due to shortage, whatever. Guy at counter doesn't give an eff. "What you need?" Slow and sloppy shouldn't be in their job description. Trash cans filled to the brim in the restaurant area and employees effin the dog in the back. Sit down to eat my tacos and the lettuce and corn were both frozen. All well. I won't be hitting that place up ever again.

I love chipotle but this one is terrible, I was in line for 40 minutes what should've been 15. This review is not against chipotle but against this particular ones customer service

No lettuce to make a salad. No explanation, nothing else said, just no more lettuce, really? Sad

Food is delicious, and seems to always be busy. The bowls are absolutely wonderful and big enough for me to have two meals.
