Great food and staff. The Friday night fish and calms are superb. Always cooked to perfection. The salad bar is always fresh and stocked. Everything I have tried on the menu has been very good.

We stopped at the Hilltop Inn tonight for dinner. My wife had the crab cake dinner with a baked potato and the salad bar and I had the spaghetti with meat sauce and the salad bar. Both of our meals were very good. My garlic bread was delicious. Service was very good.

This place is AMAZING! It doesn't look like much, but the food is delicious! Immediately after ordering, we were delivered the most divine homemade rolls in the history of my mouth. The food took a while longer than expected to arrive, but when it did, I forgot the wait entirely. The food was not only delicious -- the meat cooked to perfect tenderness and the potatoes amazingly baked -- but came in such generous portions that none of us finished our meal. If you are looking for a hearty meal of great homestead food, look no further.

We were camping at New Germany State Park and decided to go into town for lunch and cell service. Located this restaurant. At first glance it doesn't look like anything too great, but don't be fooled. It's a friendly place and our kids cleaned their plates. So did we. We ate the grill cheese, grill cheese with bacon, cheeseburger, and BLT. Great food. Very reasonably priced too. Highly recommend.

A little hometown secret delight. The Hilltop Restaurant & Lounge isn't flashy or cool, but it doesn't need to be. Simple homestyle food, cute family atmosphere and friendly service pretty much describe this place in a nutshell. A little off the beaten path, but worth the stop if you're traveling on I-68 near Grantsville.

Stopped here for dinner this evening on our "scenic route" home from Maryland. We usually take 70 West, but thought it would be more fun to take the long way to find some hidden gems. This place was definitely what we were looking for! Exterior has a little old school feel to it and that's what led us in. Wasn't super busy for a Friday dinner, but keep in mind the remote location. We went in the cocktail lounge side and sat at the bar, full menu available. The bartender was very friendly and didn't rush us, we are pretty indecisive :) So I ordered the chicken parm, with a side of spaghetti (comes with meat sauce) and boyfriend ordered the sirloin, medium rare, cooked perfectly. Both of our dinners included the salad bar, located in the dining room. It had your basic salad, cheese, veggies, pasta salad, potato salad, coleslaw, jello, pudding and about 4 dressing choices. It was fun and perfect while waiting for our food to arrive. Dinners came out promptly tasting great! No disappointment here! Prices were fair, nice portions. Dinner for 2 cost us about $50, each of had a cocktail. All of the staff were smiling, talked to a few regulars, family oriented place for sure. If you find yourself on scenic alt route 40, I'd say give it a try!

Best fried chicken ever! Spaghetti and meatballs for kids were pretty good too. The waitress was extremely nice and friendly. Definitely worth trying!

Stopped on the way to DC (thanks to yelp) and couldn't have been happier! Got our rolls and salad immediately and the rolls are delicious. Fried chicken was the best I've ever had! Nice and crispy and well seasoned. Entire party was very satisfied with their meal.
