Pizza
Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.
Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.
Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Whether you prefer thin or thick crust pizza, you can find a pizza of your preference at the best pizza restaurants in your city.

Having re-moved to Germantown from Rockville a month ago, finding a new pizza place was going to be an important element in getting settled here. I'd lived in Germantown for about five months a year back and had searched for a place that would satisfy my pizza loving soul with absolutely NO luck. At that time it was Domino's, a sad letdown from what I was used to. I'd read about Vocelli's but was highly skeptical. It just seemed like another pizza mill, churning out cardboard pizzas for the masses. But, keeping as much of an open mind as possible, we drove over to the store which was in, of all places, a gas station. This really didn't bode well as we walked in the door. Visions of sausages doused in 10/40 weight flashed through my head. Surprisingly, the menu was solid, lots of gourmet choices, different crust styles, pastas, strombolis and sandwiches. My skepticism remained high figuring there was no way they could do all of that and come away with a pizza that met my standards. We ordered a large thin crust Quattro fromaggio with pepperonis on it. Got it home and . . . It was good!! I choked my half of that baby down in a heartbeat. A couple weeks later, we decided on pizza again. Went to Vocelli's on line site and found I could get delivery. Ordering was easy, though you have to be patient when you pay. For whatever reason, the site doesn't confirm right away that your order was processed even though it has gone through. On this occasion, we got the traditional crust with what I don't remember other than to say it was just as good as the last time. So, I can say that one part of this move to Germantown is settled, especially on those Fridays after very long weeks and all you want is a pizza delivered to you so your beat upon existence can believe there is something still good in the world. Delivery guys are all good, too. Greet you with a smile even on the hottest days of the year!

I have beeen eating here consistnetly for 3 years and the pizza is VERY good. The rest of the food I would pass on. The buffalo chicken pizza is the best thing I have ever eaten. If you like spicy food you have to try it, is incredible!!!!!!!

I will never eat from Papa Johns, Dominos, and Pizza Hut again! I absolutely love their pizzas, it taste authentic and not that commercialized crap.
(5)Tanya C.
The pizza here was delicious! I had a thin crust pizza with artichokes and onions and it was wonderful. Also fast delivery!

I love this place. Fast Delivery. Great Pizza. Enough Said.
(5)Tarra F.
Awesome pizza! What's not to like about the place, you can order online, pick any tops and sauce, and fast delivery. I would drive out of my way to my parents house just to get this pizza.

Pizza here is pretty yummy. I got the garlic spinaci and it was delicious! The crust had really tasty bread and the toppings were well proportioned on top. The service was fast and they always send coupons online for discounts.

Very good and fast delivery.

So I'm not a big fan of pizza but this is a great pizza place. Their pepperoni is my fave and I've also heard rave reviews about the subs. This is a dependable, around the way delivery option. Vocellis offers reasonable prices, continuos specials, tasty food and speedy delivery!

BEST pizza in the area, no comparison (can't believe that people think the gas station pizza on 355 is good, I think that place is awful.) Try the Neopolitan crust, it's perfect - thin but not like a cracker- and the specialty toppings are great- I like the Philly cheesesteak- excellent. Have also had the wings, pretty good, and tried a turkey sub and salad once - no thanks, it was smoked, don't care for that flavor, wanted roast turkey. Anyway, for pizza- best choice around. PS- No dining in- take out or delivery only (which is also better than competition like Papas.)

Love the pizza from here but not the pasta. The pizza here is good, the pepperoni is unique compared to other chain pizza restaurants. The deals here are pretty good. Pasta: I ordered a chicken pasta but when I got the pasta there was no chicken in it....
(3)Stephany S.
LOVE the pizza & wings at this place! DELICIOUS! Better than pizza hut, highly recommend people try it out.
(5)Brittany S.
We love the pizza, cheesy breadsticks and hot buffalo wings!!!! The delivery was fast!!! They said 45 min came in 25-30 min!!! Seriously our new favorite pizza place!!
(5)Jason K.
Awesome! Awesome customer service, awesome food, and so glad there's a shop in our new 'neck-of-the-woods'. ;)

I finally had to try this place so I can say that I tried Vocellis. Its the best out of all the pizza places in gtown that delivers. The service is top notch.. Pizza is great... its not as salty as their competitors. Its tastes fresh. Heres the deal breaker. They are skimpy with the toppings. Though it may look like its a lot... but its tissue paper thin!!!!! Their cheese is good quality and so is their sauce.... Delivery time took a while but I got nice friendly service. They have dipping sauces but its runny... not like PJ pizza... They have an extensive menu... they sell more than pizzas... omgggggggggggg and they sell cannollis!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! They were good!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Im a fan now..

Great customer service when ordering over the phone. (They're honest. If they're out of something near closing after a busy night, they'll inform you.) Online ordering is convenient, and they appear to deliver pizza right up until they close. Delivery is fast (i.e., 30 minutes). The promotions are plentiful and useful. The 20% coupon (779), for instance, is always valid; and Wednesday's buy-one-get-one-free promotion has saved my life on many mid-week occasions. Their pizzas are delicious. My personal favorite is their four-cheese pizza ("Quattro Cheese"). Their Philly Steak has an authentic cheesesteak taste. They once sold a taco-esque pizza, which was actually the first pizza that I tried from Vocelli Pizza; and I thought it was tasty. I also recommend the Chicken Spanici (without the overbearing tomatoes if you're not a fan of tomatoes, like myself) and Pepperoni pizzas. Also, I have received free sodas from them before. Last time, it was a 2-liter Pepsi; I'm not a fan of Pepsi, but I appreciated the gesture. My only gripe would be that I do suspect the 18" Colosso pizza crust to be the 14" traditional (large) pizza crust--the exact portion size of dough--simply flattened out and two dollars more. I compared the crusts of a traditional large Chicken Spanici and a colosso Quattro Cheese when I ordered them; the former resembled a deep dish and the latter a thin crust. I was expecting a larger circumference, yet the same crust thickness. (I love pizza crust!)

I was a loyal customer for six years. The pizza used to be great, but I had to fire them. The pizza has gotten more expensive, the delivery took over an hour the last two times I ordered, and it arrives soggy, limp and flavorless. I called to complain and the manager said he's heard a lot of similar complaints lately. I told him I wasn't ordering from them any more, and he replied, "Not a problem." Maybe that's the problem; they're willing to offer substandard pizzas and substandard service. Reminds me of when Dominos became terrible, I wish they'd go back to making great pizza.

My boyfriend and I just moved to the area and have been looking for a good delivery place - we finally found it. This place is so good. We mostly order subs but also got pizza recently and it's just better than anything else we have had thus far in the area. They also sent me two coupons within a day or two from my first order, it made it easy to quickly order from here again. I definitely recommend this place. The turkey bacon cheddar sub is especially good. Oh and the vocelli rolls !!! So gooood. We have only tried the bacon cheddar ones but I would definitely try others.

Called today for my organization to place a big order and James the manager was VERY RUDE. I order from here for my home and our organization every year never had to deal with the rudeness. You have lost my business for being rude and not listening. My children in the organization will eat somewhere else. Thanks for nothing....

Ordered delivery from these guys: garlic spinach with cannoli for dessert. They came right at the 45 minute delivery mark. The pizza was ridiculously good: fresh ingredients, generous quantities of cheese, and the crust was the marriage in binding the ingredients together. The cannoli, to my disappointment, seemed to have been shipped from somewhere and stored in the freezer for some period of time. It still had freezer burn when it got to my door. The filling might have been passable if it weren't for the crust. The crust was soft almost to the point of soggy, and it didn't go well with the filling. I'll definitely be coming back for the pizza. The dessert, not so much.

Ordered a meatball sub. I ate it in the car as soon as it came out and the meatballs were ice cold. They were nice enough to let me order a pizza to replace it. Pizza was pretty good. Lesson learned - get a pizza at a pizza place!
(3)Evir R.
It's just takeout pizza. No better than Dominos'.

Love this place and the service from the people who answer the phone to delivery is wonderful! The salads are awesome too!

Now that John Schnatter owner of Papa John's chain has made an a...of himself over Obamacare, I decided to see what other Pizza shops were offering. This had solid reviews so made an oder of my favorite large pepperoni pizza. Located isn't in a gas station, they just so happen to be next to one, so easier to find. I got there and it was fairly busy in the kitchen, neat, and clean looking, nice pizza smell to it. They had it ready on time and showed it to me. My eyes and nose said,"wow!" I paid my favorite price for it. The service was very friendly. I couldn't wait to get to my home to give this pizza a taste test. My anticipation was high. Within a few minutes I was sitting relaxing with a big plate of pizza watching my favorite show "Supernatural". Now I have extensive pizza experience having lived in Chicago for about 8 years. This pizza measured up, fresh ingredents, plenty of toppings, real chees, and delious crust, done just right. There was no grease to deal with, amazing. Mr. Schnatter there is a better pizza in town, so take your stinky hindparts back to that large barn you call a home. Run don't walk to Vocelli Pizza you wouldn't regret it! This is my new pie joint!

Finally a good pizza place in Germantown! Pizza Hut, Dominos, and Papa Johns are always mediocre at best. Vocellis has been great every time I've ordered it. Great pizza and I love the "Vocelli Rolls". They are like the pepperoni cheese rolls at the Dutch Market. Definitely recommend if you are looking for a new pizza place to try in Germantown.

Best pizza in Germantown. Pizza is delivered fast, hot, and the hornet pizza is very good!
(5)J. F.
As far as chain pizza goes, this is by far, the best one in Germantown. Pizza is always hot, cheese is melty and gooey, and the flavors are just right. They always have a coupon, or special going on, so you can get some great deals. My favorites are the Garlic Spinachi pizza or the Buffalo Chicken pizza. Customer service is always friendly and pizzas are always ready when they say they will be.
(4)S. O.
It was ok...I think I prefer Papa Johns over this place any day. The pizza was so-so but the breadsticks were really good. They were drenched in parmesan-garlic and very flavorful. We ordered a mushroom pizza and there just weren't enough mushrooms on it. The crust was really soft and mushy...That's not how I like my pizza.
(2)Peter S.
this is a great pizza place for delivery. much less salty than the other chain pizza delivery shops. havent had a bad meal yet. highly recommend.
(4)Irene A.
Love Vocelli Pizza! Ever since I started getting pizza delivery from Vocelli, I've never gone back to Pizza Hut again. (Note I've only ever gotten delivery.) The specialty pizzas - the garlic spinaci - is my favorite... I feel like this is also the healthiest pizza I can get - not greasy... Check their website too, as they always have coupons.

This is my first trying this pizza place and the pizza it's really good!!! I Oder a medium cheese and it was still warm when it came and fast delivery . Someone had mention it Taste like chukke cheese pizza but from 20 years ago!!! And I agree it does taste like it :-) . But better and I was just impress on how fast they deliver the food they get 5 stars from me great pizza great service will be ordering and going here. Love it
(5)C S.
As good as it gets for chain pizza. Not one of the best pizzas I've had but still very very good.
(4)Alejandro D.
One of the better pizzas places in the area, that delivers. No doubt replaces those other guy when ordering in for the night. They have some really good deals if you look out for them in the web. .

BEST PIZZA IN GERMANTOWN... HANDS DOWN... Call me crazy but this pizza reminds me of the old-school (I am talking 20+ years ago) Chuckie Cheeses pizza before they changed their recipe. Maybe it is the 100% mozzarella cheese or the yummy (not TOOO SALTY or seasoned) crust.... Whatever it is... this is my GO TO spot in Germantown. Consider the fact that from order to delivery I usually get my pizza in 20 minutes or less (90% of the time it takes 15 minutes)... this place is AMAZING. They DID get my order wrong one time that I called in, so I suggest online ordering if you can (never had a problem with this). HOWEVER, the reason I still give them 5 stars is because when we called to tell them they put chicken instead of bacon on the pizza, the guy said he rememebered I ordered bacon and apologized for the mistake and then they brought us a whole new pizza in about 10-15 minutes free of charge (GREAT SERVICE)!!! 3 pizzas for the price of ONE (since I Had already used their buy one pizza get one of equal or lesser value free coupon)... If you sign up for their emails they send out deals all the time... AND, they just had a groupon or living social deal for $20 for the price of $10 so I am super siced to use that! :-) Pizza is always delivered QUICKLY and VERY HOT... and the quality is a million times better than papa johns, pizza hut, and dominoes. They also have better toppings like artichokes and other things the other "chains" don't have! I almost forget this is a chain pizza place. I have had regular, deep dish and thin crust and love them all equally... although my waist probably prefers the thin crust~ ;-) ONLY thing that sucks (and doesn't suck enough to take away its 5th star) is that they close at 10pm on weeknights (mon-thurs) and sometimes I want to order a bit after that and get stuck with dominoes or pizza hut... YUCK! lol

Awful. First of all, the pizza was awful. Second, of all the person that picked up the phone was some teenager that called me a "indecisive ass nigger" for changing my order, and lastly when i asked to talk to the manager i got hung up on. I called back and the manager picked up and told me to not call back or he was going to call the police. Dont even give this place a chance. Try Milano's, they are nice and respectful and theyre food is cheap and delicious
(1)Ema P.
Best pizza place in the area, hands down. We like it complicated- pepperoni and jalapeño all over, half sausage and other half bacon-- and they deliver it to perfection every time. The guy on the phone and the delivery man are both extremely nice, and delivery is very fast! Prices are very reasonable, and the quality of the food is amazing. We're obsessed with the pizza. Also, if you haven't already tried them, try the Vocelli's pepperoni rolls. At this exact moment I am scarfing down my 5th roll... I just can't stop!
(5)Jorge R.
First time ordering and I was very pleased. We ordered a 16" pep Neopolitan and it was one of the best I've had, wings and breadsticks were also very good. Will definitely be ordering again.
(5)Cesar P.
There are a lot of good to decent pizza joints in the area... Vocelli's is just OK. Their regular isn't bad, but the pepperoni is the weird little slices that look something out of a Tombstone or Totinos pizza. The sausage is pretty good though. The thin crust though... Like bad cardboard. Head to Ledo's down the street, or better than that, go to Mamma Lena's or Mangino's.
