Came here for lunch with my cousin randomly after a run. Oh my goodness. Their sushi was AMAZING. I haven't have such good sushi in such a long time and I'm still dreaming about their sushi as I type this review. My cousin and I decided to try their speciality roll- the crazy roll- which consisted of shrimp tempura, cucumber, tuna, spicy mayo, and eel sauce. Sprinkled with a good amount of crunchy panko flakes, and ta-da. The crazy roll is born. The rolls were on the larger side, and they didn't skimp on the shrimp or tuna which I was happy about. It was in my opinion the perfect shrimp tempura roll, especially with the sauces drizzled on top and the extra crunch from the panko flakes. This roll had my umami taste buds singing! One of the servers suggested we also try "The Godfather" roll, which was their lunch special at the time. It was another shrimp tempura roll with cream cheese, eel, tuna, salmon, and topped with caviar. The presentation of the sushi blew me away. It was too pretty to eat. Again, these were bigger rolls and they didn't skimp on the fish. The restaurant had a handful of people dining in and ordering take out, but it was still a pretty quiet and chill atmosphere. The restaurant has a modern vibe to it and is super clean. The staff was helpful and attentive. This restaurant can easily be a place to have sushi with family or friends, or can easily be a date night restaurant. I left the place with fully satisfied and with the intent to come back. With full bellies, my cousin and I were in absolute bliss from sushi heaven. Definitely 100% going to return to try the other sushi rolls when the next sushi craving hits! In my opinion, it's worth the extra drive for me.

We had the amazing roll, crazy roll, imperial dragon roll, California and volcano roll. Everything's tasty and portions are large. Presentation is literally flashy because they had a LED light in a martini glass. The restaurant has a bit of identity crisis because there is Chinese music playing and a Chinese menu. The waitress didn't understand when we asked for donburi.

Fresh sushi great atmosphere. ..but their drink menu is lacking. Only wine and beer and saki. Most places have mixed drinks but overall I love this place

My BFF and I were adventuring off to Yuraku when GASP! It was a Monday and they were closed. We quickly yelped what was nearby and found this quaint place for sushi. Pro's +Quiet and clean environment +Friendly and attentive service +Had a lunch special with three sushi rolls for about $12 or so (can't remember exact price) includes miso soup +Sushi wasn't filled with all rice +Fresh fish +Offers special sushi rolls but selection isn't as big as Yuraku's +Presentation is nice but I'm all about the food Con's - Wish the rolls were a tad larger All in all I had a great experience and will be my go to place on Monday's when Yuraku is closed. Sorry Tokyo Sushi, Yuraku comes first.

When a new sushi restaurant opened in Germantown, I was intrigued to see it got rave reviews on Yelp and whether or not it's better than Yuraku, which is famously known for its portion size, fresh fish and long lines to get in. After trying three dishes (1 appetizer, 1 special roll and 1 cold dish), Tokyo Sushi is about $2 more expensive per dish than Yuraku, any way you cut it. Pros: - Better than average sushi taste, as they offer flavorful rolls with various spiciness and sweetness. The imperial dragon roll for example, was fresh and delicious. - Easy parking. - Plenty of open seats on a traditionally busy Saturday night (probably a con too). Cons: - Portion size is definitely smaller than Yuraku, at the same price. Either increase the portion size or lower the cost in general by $2. Asian fried oyster had small pieces and should have been $2 cheaper. Imperial dragon roll was $11.99, had 8 relatively small pieces and should have been $9.99. And Tokyo chips (6 pieces) should have been $12.99 and not $14.99 - Hot tea costs extra. Tap water from Montgomery County as usual, is always free. - They used Pringle chips for the Tokyo Chips dish. That's pretty low consider the dish costs $14.99 - Strange that they have two pages of Chinese food on their menu. This is usually not a good sign. Look at Yuraku and Temari Cafe's menu - straight up Japanese cuisine. We may come back if Tokyo Sushi decides to offer Groupon deals or lower their cost. Until then, there is no financial or saliva advantage to come here than Yuraku.

One of the best sushi places in the area. The sashimi was fresh/great! I recommend to order off the special section of the menu.

Oh wow! I am in love with this place! Since I did not feel like cooking, my boyfriend and I decided to visit for a rather unusual Easter dinner. We were not disappointed! We ordered Singapore noodles with chicken and shrimp (no pork! yay!), a Germantown roll, a Philly roll, a Dragon roll and a spicy tuna roll. That food never had a chance.... The noodles were excellent! The curry was flavorful, but not too spicy, with generous amounts of both chicken and shrimp. The portion size was more than enough to share. But the sushi... that was the star of the show. Literally. Our platter came adorned with some kind of bamboo stick sculpture with color changing lights and tropical flowers, carrot and cucumber carvings... it was almost too pretty to eat. Almost... This was some of the best sushi we've had. The flavors were fantastic. The rolls were a little larger than we were used to, but that was fine by us. The Philly roll was a little different, as they added avocado to their version. I had no complaints; I love avocado. and it was a very good addition. The Dragon and Germantown rolls were equally stunning in both presentation and flavor. The spicy tuna roll... well, let's just say that that was one of the first to go. The restaurant is a beautiful, quaint and cozy spot tucked in the furthest corner of the shopping center. The staff were attentive and very nice. The prices were fantastic for such a well-made product. (We've paid way more for sub-par sushi in DC). I've got a feeling that we'll be regulars here.

My daughter and I went here for the first time for lunch. Lunch special was very good. I had spicy tuna and spicy crab sushi rolls. My daughter had California roll and eel avocado roll. All delicious and nicely presented. The tea was not what I liked though, it's bitter.

Today was my third visit to Tokyo Sushi and I have to share my thoughts. I LOVE IT! I am very impressed with the freshness, flavor and presentation of my sashimi trio, which I have ordered each time as my main course. The appetizers have been just as good. I will gladly travel from Kensington to Germantown for this sushi. The service is great, the restaurant is clean, the prices are good, and the portion sizes are very generous. I'm going to call this my sushi place from now on!

When it comes to sushi it really takes a lot to impress me because I really really love sushi. This place may be my Ziki competition. It was hands down delish and I plan on having dinner there some time this week. It just opened this past Tuesday and my husband and I needed a new spot for our usual date night but we didn't want to go too far from home. I remembered seeing signs for Tokyo Sushi and requested that we go there. Hubby agreed and we were both pleasantly amazed. For their grand opening they give you a 15% discount for your meal which was awesome. We ordered the salmon sashimi and the fried oysters. Both were really good starters. For dinner we ordered the Imperial Roll, Phoenix Roll & the Passion roll. All really delicious! I can't wait to go back and try out the other rolls on the menu!

If you want to avoid the lunch time rush of Yuraku, and have a sushi craving, this is the place. Tucked away in the back of the kingsview shopping center (past the county liquor store), this is a great spot. We ordered the lunch specials: sashimi and maki rolls. Both choices were not only fresh but also had big serving sizes. And the beer prices are very decent. $4.50 for a regular Sapporo. We will be back here for sure.

Perfect spot for sushi! Everything is fresh and the service is great. I love getting the green salad with ginger dressing and crab rangoon to start. Simple, but they nail it.

I saw this place on my way home from work the other day and decided to try it out for lunch today-- I was craving sushi and didn't have the time for a 90 minute wait at Yuraku. (Don't get me wrong, I love Yuraku. It's easily one of the best sushi places around. But, this isn't a review for Yuraku, and they *do* have really long wait times.) So. The restaurant is dimly lit, a little mix of classy and casual, I thought. I sat at the sushi bar, and used it as an opportunity to get some recommendations from the chef. I was very pleased with both of the dishes I got. He first recommended a "Sexy Jalapeno" as an appetizer-- a tempura fried jalapeno stuffed with spicy tuna and cream cheese. It wasn't too spicy, but it definitely had some kick to it. Beautiful presenation and very flavorful. The second item I got was the "Tokyo Tsunami": a crispy rice base with a mixture of spicy salmon and spicy salmon on top. The crest of the tsunami was finely sliced avocado and (more) jalapeno. Fantastic dish. Both dishes were fantastic tasting the way they came: I didn't have to add wasabi to either and I didn't even use my usual go-to soy-dipping sauce. I liked the creative use of flavors, too. I've seen jalapeno used in a lot of sushi rolls, but I've never seen a jalapeno stuffed with spicy tuna. I also don't see a lot of dishes that use crunchy rice. I was a little surprised at how empty the restaurant was. Don't be put off by it-- for a restaurant so close to Yuraku, there's some incredibly stiff competition. The quality of the food I had was better than average, the prices seemed pretty typical and I was there and back in about an hour. They have some reasonably priced lunch specials that I'm interested in trying out, too. Oh, and I'm definitely going back-- everything was well prepared, the staff were friendly and my tea was never empty.

Something is wrong when an asian restaurant has NO asian customer in it. It s a nice & new restaurant but the food is fair -- not the greatest! Fish are of nice cut but not superb -- but thin, like those found at an All-You-Can-Eat restaurant. I went in for lunch with my children, my kids had to order 2 portions because it wasn't enough for him. Lunch special does come with miso soup but portion when it came out, I thought it was appetizer. Big plate but only 1/4 of the plate has edible stuff. My son ordered the eel portion, it came out with some rice and 3-4 thin slice of eels. Elsewhere, he would get a 1/3 or 1/2 of a whole eel. "Where s the beef?" We also wanted tempura which is the basic if all Japanese restaurant; tasting it will allow us to determine that if they could handle perfect tempura, they would be able to do anything. "Sorry, we don't have tempura". Huh????? No tempura in a JAPANESE restaurant? Oh, by the way I don't think the owner or chef is Japanese at all. All of the waitress are Chinese, but they are nice. You decide if it is worthwhile.

This is like a Japanese dance restaurant without the fancy prices. The gyoza was delicious. The beer was cold. The madness roll was madness (as in really good. My wife had the amazing roll and, you guessed it, amazing. We found our new sushi spot and the best part is that it's closer to home. Oh and the service was good as well.

Very content with the service (which was fast) and food. The sushi is affordable and good for the price it comes at. The presentation and the atmosphere of the restaurant were also nice. 4/5 stars

Came here for lunch with my daughter. I had the Sushi Sashimi lunch combo. It was absolutely delicious and soooo fresh. The salmon melts in your mouth. Good value and good atmosphere. Definitely will come back. It's tucked away behind the buffalo wing place. My daughter recommended it after visiting with her friends after school. I would recommend it to anyone.

I was so happy to stumble upon this great sushi place in Germantown. Even though Yuraku seems to be a favorite for most people, I have never been a fan.. .so I had to leave the Germantown area previously if I wanted good sushi. Well, not any more! What is even better is this place is like 2 miles from my house so half the time I can just go pick it up. I had been getting menus delivered from them for a while but after eating sushi at the Tsukiji fish market in Japan in 2009, I have been EXTREMELY picky about what I eat and where I will eat sushi. (Nothing will ever compare to the Japan experience sadly, but this was CLOSE)! I really like their hand rolls (the ones that look like a cone) and typically stick to the cooked or smoked fish. The Alaskan Roll with smoked salmon substituted is great. Their california rolls (standard stuff even non-sushi lovers eat) are great too in both regular roll and handroll form. Their miso soup is DELICIOUS and helped me get over a bad throat/chest cold a few weeks ago. I also had their shumai and it is super yummy and reminded me of the shumai I had while at a banquet in Japan. I highly recommend this place. Their staff is incredibly nice and friendly as well. I have yet to dine-in there but would like to one day. They are a bit pricey but fairly average for this area and you do get what you pay for... a cheap sushi place is usually NOT a good place to eat raw fish lol... this place however, is quality!

Nothing over the top occurred so I don't want to push it and give this place 5 stars BUT I loved everything none the less! Service was simple and to the point. Everything I tried was delicious. And the ambience is nice as well. I would for sure recommended this place to friends and family.... any one looking for sushi. I will surely be coming back here more often.

I tried Tokyo Asian Bistro for the first time this week and I think I just found my new area favourite. The place is easy to find and has ample parking. The seating area has plenty of room and the The food portions and prices were typical with other venues. I was specifically impressed with the taste. The vegetables were crisp with a lot of flavor. It can be tough to get through when they're busy. Recommendation: Highly recommend this place. It's one of my new favs in the area

As a lifetime professional Chef that lives very near to this restaurant, I could not wait for them to open. My opinion is simply this: Keep doing what you have been doing in the first few weeks since you opened, and I will continue to come back, bring friends and family, and refer new customers to you, from now on. I have worked in very fine foods for many years, have trained with extraordinary master chefs and also in Asian foods, and this place just blew my mind. The staff is sharp, warm, and attentive, and the atmosphere is cozy and comfortable. The beauty of the plates being served is only matched by the incredible tastes and freshness I have encountered there. The appearance and staff of the sushi bar is crisp, clean, and all of their fishes appear to be visibly perfectly fresh and correctly handled. I arrived there with a friend on their first night open, about 20 minutes before closing time. The turned the lights back up for us, and were willing to prepare anything on the menu that we would have asked for, even though the kitchen had already been likely mostly shut down. Their "madness roll" and the "passion roll" were as utterly amazing tasting, as they are beautiful to see on a plate. The shumai wontons were absolutely incredible, delicate, fresh, soft, and complimented nicely with an appropriately sweet and tangy sauce that was not overwhelming. The Yaki Tuna salad on fresh spring greens with a light sesame vinaigrette dressing was outrageously beautiful and seared perfectly with great flavor balance. Their Gyoza (small meat dumplings) are fresh, flavourful, and again as beautiful as they are good and fresh. The miso soup is very nice and very fresh tasting. My only complaints thus far were an order of their fried oysters, which were small, slightly overcooked, and quite fishy tasting - which means they were possibly not as fresh as I would have appreciated, being a seafood chef myself. I have gotten several orders of the Shumai appetizer since then, but one carryout order seemed to have a slightly stronger & fishier taste that evening, and possibly the shrimp filling was not as fresh as the other orders that I have gotten from there, since my first try on their opening night. The menu is quite extensive, looking like a true culinary adventure worth trying more of, and I truly cannot wait until the next time I visit, to explore more of what they have to offer. The only sushi restaurant locally I could compare them to is Yuraku Japanese on the other side of Germantown, where I know one of their chefs personally and have always used Yuraku as the standard by which I have measured all other Japanese style/sushi restaurants for many years now. Tokyo sushi is the very first I have found anyplace locally that actually compares in terms of quality, flavor, presentation, value, service, and overall satisfaction to the kinds of standards I would most definitely appreciate the most. Just Excellent!

We've seen a full parking lot (and good reviews) since this place opened, so we were excited to give it a try. On a Tuesday night, it was pretty quiet--only 2 other tables were full when we arrived. Another table would be sat while we were eating, in addition to 2 single diners at the sushi bar. Our server was very friendly, trying to explain dishes as we had questions. We started with the Yasai Gyoza--Japanese style, panfried, vegetable dumplings. They were very tasty--filled with a combination of mashed and crunchy veggies and a nice, sweet dipping sauce. For our mains, we ordered Vegetable Udon: the noodles were a bit watery (almost slimy), lots of vegetables and just an ok sauce. This dish brought the rating from 4 stars to the 3 stars. I should say, my husband didn't like it at all, while I liked it ok. We also ordered an Avocado Roll and a Cucumber Roll--both were good, simple and fresh. The servers were attentive and friendly. We enjoyed our experience, and would try a number of other items on the rather large menu in the future. For what it's worth, one of the customers sitting at the sushi bar was using his "outdoor" voice (for the duration of our meal) and we (all) heard him say how he used to get Rainbow Sushi delivered all of the time, because he lives near Shoppers. But, since this place opened, it's his new go to for sushi. Consider it a bonus review! With half stars, I'd say 3.5. But, again, the watery Udon meant a round down. Another non-chain option in town almost brought it back up a star!

We have had lunch and dinner here, and have been very satisfied both times. We are sushi and sashimi fans. The sushi is very good, moderately priced. Sashimi also very good, moderately priced. Service excellent. We really like the quiet dining room, could do without the televisions, but they're not loud. We highly recommend this restaurant and will return. The spring roll appeitizer was good but not great; the miso soup was quite good but not great. Otherwise, would have been 5 stars.

We decided to try this place for take out based on the 5 stars from yelp. We ordered two special rolls and two dinner entrees. We were shocked at how flavorless all four items were, after paying $64 mind you.we'll be sticking with ziki for japanese food in the future.. Where the food has flavor!

Tokyo Suishi opened in the strip mall that is on our walking path. We drooled for most of the fall as we walked by the coming soon signs. We rushed to try the place the first weekend it was open. Wow! We are huge Sushi fans in our house (everyone is to varying degrees) and this place was great. All the Sushi was wonderfully prepared. The kids were a little disappointed with the amount of Avocado in the Sushi but I was not. The hot and sour soup was great as well. This is a must go to Germantown Sushi Place! Easy to get to, and great food all the way around!

3.5 Second visit a bit of a disappointment, had almost the same thing except switched to iced tea from warm beer, and had spring rolls instead of gyoza (spring rolls crispy and not oily, just not very tasty; the gyoza was excellent, maybe cause meat has more flavor.) First off, there are NO sweeteners except sugar for the iced tea, and that is unacceptable. (For all the months they are open, I can't believe no one but me has asked for Equal. Walk to Giant and buy a box for $5 already!!!) Second, the whole time I was eating the appetizer and drinking my tea, the waitress (who remembered me from first visit) was hovering, walking back and forth in front of me trying to refill this or take away that, and it was very unsettling. (I was the only one there initially, it did get busier by the time I left.) Third, the sushi rolls tasted OK but smelled fishy (that could have been the fish roe and eel sauce) and that's a turn-off for me. Also, the presentation was again over the top (nice), but too crowded and not well thought out- the smaller roll should've been on the outside and the special (taller) one in the middle, because on my first pass I got gooey sauce on my chopstick hand, and had trouble using them after that because they were so sticky. (As before, the roll slices are also very large and difficult to eat in one mouthful with chopsticks.) That being said, the chef did come out to ask if everything was OK, a very nice touch, and the lobster tail tempura in the Godfather roll was plentiful and tasty and (almost) worth the hefty price, if only the whole thing didn't smell fishy (next time, no eel sauce for me!) Oh, I also asked for dessert and was told they had cheesecake, but was served key lime pie instead (it was very good). The waitress thought this was funny, I didn't mind but thought that reaction (instead of an apology, or take it off the bill) was inappropriate. While I'm glad to see they are doing a good business, please remember to take care of all the little things to keep your clientele happy and your high ratings!

Was so looking forward for a new sushi place. The sushi menu is not very large. Was totally disappointed that the rolls ordered had tempura flakes in them but this was not identified on the menu. Big mistake for folks with gluten allergies. The lunch rolls are very small, the size of the fish was extremely small and with the crunch of the tempura it was flavorless. Service was prompt and polite. May try lunch again and NOT get sushi and try their other dishes.

I ordered the sushi & sashimi lunch. The sushi was amazing, and the fish was fresh. The presentation was beautiful. The cost was about the same as Yakuru, and is comparable in quality. The waitress did hover, which was annoying. I intend to return.

This place is great! It has a great atmosphere inside, great for a quiet date. I had the tuna tar tar n it was amazing! I typically get the same thing at sushi places but tried something new, and I was glad I did. It is my new favorite entree. The spicy tuna and spider rolls were also delicious! Everything is very fresh and well prepared. I have already been there 3 times since it opened. I would highly recommend this place!

Home alone without the fiance. Wasn't feeling sushi so I ordered General Tso's to pickup. it was ready right on time and was still hot when I got home. Was a good portion as expected and tasted great as any other Chinese place. Really glad this place has good Chinese at it is right nearby and no other Chinese restaurants nearby had good reviews. Will definitely be going back.

My husband and I were amazed at the quality and freshness of our meal. We've had sushi around the world and previously we had only 2 on our top list. Now we have three and this is around the corner from us! We ordered the Tokyo Chips and the flavors that were packed in each bite sized piece were superb. We also ordered the Nariuto roll, typically cucumber rolled pieces lacked flavor but not this one! The decor was inviting, very 'bistro'. It is nice to know that Germantown is home to two of our favorite sushi restaurants in the world. Service was friendly and the perfect balance of attentiveness without being over bearing. We hope they do well and we will be back.

I stopped by with my daughter for lunch. I ordered Salmon sashimi lunch and my daughter ordered shrimp fried rice. Both of them are excellent. Salmon is really fresh and well cut. Great plating for lunch special. The waitress Joyce is so friendly and makes us feel like home. We will definitely come back.

I was here tonight for dinner, I thought it would be hard finding the place but the lights outside helped a lot. The flashing colorful lights made it hard to miss. As soon as I walk inside I was greeted by the beautiful friendly hostess. The decoration was tasteful and not super Asian like most sushi restaurants tend to lean toward. Now the food, omg the food is just to die for. I ordered the Kani salad, tuna tartar and the spicy maki combo. Everything was on par, I especially love the tartar you wouldn't think tuna, mango and avocado would come together but it does I could live on that dish. The spicy maki combo had a spicy California roll, spicy tuna roll and spicy yellow tail roll I believe and it was so soft and crunchy. The seaweed, rice and fish was very fresh, I was stuffed and I couldn't stop eating. I would definitely come back here again.

My new favorite go to sushi place in Germantown. There are not too many around and I normally get sushi in Rockville on my way home. How excited I was when this place opened! It is amazing and I can't rave enough about it. My favorite is the spicy tuna rolls and spring rolls. I will keep coming back over and over again. Thank you for opening down the street from me!

One of the best sushi experiences in the Gaithersburg area. The rolls are expensive but you get what you pay for, totally worth it for any special occasion. I was pleasantly surprised with the exceptional quality of their meats. The true flavors of the fish are not masked with too much tempura or sauce. In fact this is the first place I've tasted shrimp tempura where the batter actually emphasizes and really enhances the flavor of the shrimp, it's light and delicious. The Crazy Roll and the Madness Roll are spectacular! I think the specialty rolls are the way to go, I ordered a standard California roll and there was very little crab, but I liked the addition of cucumber. My only other criticism is the Miso soup, it was pretty bland. Other than that, this place has a great menu selection and a very relaxing atmosphere. Definitely try this place, you wont be disappointed!

Great new place tucked away in the back corner of the shopping center next to Buffalo Wings and Beer. The food is average priced for the area, but the service and quality are definitely above par.

I ordered the "Madness Roll" and the "Passion Roll" I really enjoyed both! My favorite was the "Passion Roll" it was just the perfect combination of sweet, crunch and spice but not too much! Might have to try 1 more roll while I'm here then save some room for dessert! Also the rolls are 8 pieces as opposed to 6 so bring your appetite! I brought mine and was not disappointed that I did! Everything looks so yummy! My server was excellent very helpful and friendly will definitely be back when in the area again!

I live right across the street, and when I saw a sushi place was coming, my husband and I figured as long as it was decent, we would be pleased. This place is MUCH better than decent. The décor and staff are lovely, but most importantly, the food is delicious. We order a ton of stuff to try it out, and ended up eating everything. The fish is fresh and beautiful, and the rolls are unique, well made, and tasty. (Try the Avocado Peanut Roll, it sounds crazy, but is fantastic.) I am so happy to have a great sushi place right near by. This will 100% be a once a week meal for us.

I've been here twice in the last week. The service was great and the sushi was even better. Easily my favorite sushi in all of MoCo. Don't pass this place up, you won't be disappointed. The amazing roll and the crazy roll are my favorites!

We came here on a quiet tuesday evening and decided to give this new place a try. Man what a terrible mistake we made!! Let`s start with the service . I give the waiter 4 star since he was very nice and knowledgeable! Now the food part. I give their sushi 1 star!! Why?? The rolls we ordered tasted like wet rice soup. Do they know how to make the sushi rice in the proper way??? The sushi plates we got also had way too many reuseable/recycled decoration! ! Yuck!!! Health code violation! !! Health department should definitely pay this place a visit for using reuseable/recycled decorations!! That's so disgusting. I wonder what else do they reuse !! The rolls we ordered were also so loose and uneven cut that it just falls apart when you pick them up!! Hmmm are rolls suppose to be so loose like that??? I can keep on going and going about the bads here of the sushi but in the end i just think once is enough for me to eat here!! Bad sushi, recycled decorations and not so fresh fish equals ==== don't eat here!!

We got carry out last night from Tokyo Sushi and were very impressed all around. The ease of ordering by phone for carryout was great and on time for our pickup. The food was outstanding!!! The Germantown roll is a must as it was excellent and this is Germantown right? Sushi was awesome using high quality cuts of fish, the rolls were all excellent (spicy tuna, shrimp tempura, smoked salmon, etc.). We will be going back and will dine in next time, the dining room looks great. Yuraku has some new competition in Germantown. Bye bye Rustic Oven you were just OK, hello Tokyo Sushi!

We stopped by for dinner to celebrate the end of volleyball season for my daughter. What a pleasant surprise. The sushi was amazing- highly recommend crazy roll. Loved the balance between crunchy topping and the tasty sushi filling. The shrimp fried rice was so good that I would definitely order again. The fried cheese wonton was very yummy. The ambience was upscale and modern. Highly recommend.

My sister and I came here last Saturday and boy was I excited because of all the good reviews it was getting. It wasn't as busy as I thought it was going to be. The service was great and everything came out quickly but the problem was the food. We thought we'd give the lunch special a try. I asked if there was udon noodle soup available and they said no. Of all the places I've been to....Yuraku...Yoyogi Sushi....Niwana Hana... How do you not have any type of noodle soup? This place cannot compare. We ordered the unagi don and the portion was small for 10.95. We ordered a California roll, eel roll, and shrimp roll for 10.95 as well and it came with a soup. What place does not fry their shrimp and uses cocktail shrimp instead? The food was bland....the rice on the sushi didn't have any vinegar taste in it (plain rice), and I feel like this sushi is as same as Lotte's supermarket sushi and you can get it cheaper there! Yoyogi's lunch special.... U can get four rolls of six for 12 bucks....why not pay the extra dollar? Or pay an extra 5 bucks for Yuraku buffet? The dressing that was on the salad had a strong ginger taste...let me just say...there are other places that are better and with the price of what I'm getting...I will not come here again.

Just had an excellent lunch here. Great variety, food not over seasoned. Reasonable, fast, and delish. I had the 2 roll combo with soup, my husband had the healthy chicken and vegetables with soup. Got out of there with a bill of less than $15. Looking forward to coming back soon!

Went out with couple friends, chose this place just wanted to try out as it was just grand open. But it was really awesome! Very quite and cozy place, the service was great, and the food was in high quality. We had ordered couple different rolls, those were the best rolls I had in area, the freshness, the taste, and the decoration and designing, I cannot say how much I love it!

The only reason for 4 instead of 5 stars..my fiance and i ordered online and paid online. When she went to pick it up..they said it wasn't paid for and she had to pay again. She gave her a pretty bad attitude. I called and got it resolved. I guess the online system has a glitch in it.. they ended up refunding the online transaction. So be careful with that. Sushi was great!!! Rainbow roll was amazing as well as the Philly roll and shrimp tempora! We'll be eatting there again soon!

Really really good. I heard the hype and was initially skeptical but wanted to check it out. Dinner tonight with my son was outstanding! Food was delicious and the presentation was outstanding...right down to the edible vegetable carved flowers. Welcome to the neighborhood!

I love sushi, and I love trying new sushi places. So when our usual sushi place was packed and no longer accepting reservations, we went on to Yelp and found this place. First thing we noticed was that it's kind of hard to find; it's hidden at the back of a strip mall and kind of around a corner, hidden by a sports bar. Next thing; the place was empty. We were the only customers after 7 on a Saturday night. While we were there we noticed a lot of people picking up take out, which made us feel better... But then we tried the food. And wondered why there weren't more people. We got the Madness roll (brilliant, spicy tuna, and I'm blanking on the rest), the Washington roll (tempured shrimp and avocado), a spicy tuna hand roll, and an eel roll. All very tasty and a decent size. We ended up ordering the Tokyo Tsunami (an interesting roll with a rice pancake, avocado, and tuna)... Elegantly displayed. Heck, all the sushi was elegantly displayed. Good but cheap saké too. This might be our new favorite sushi place near our place. Highly recommended.

I ordered delivery from them a couple days ago via GrubHub. I got the sashimi dinner which is right around $20. I live on a tight budget, so this was a night where I felt I was splurging. That is, until the food arrived. I was amazed at how much fish there was! It came with 5 different kinds of fish (although I think that may differ depending on what they have fresh that day) and 3 huge pieces of each kind of fish. It also comes with miso soup and a little container of rice. I was also really happy with how quickly the food came. GrubHub gave me an estimate time of about an hour, but they were at my door in under 30 minutes. Lastly, everything was really delicious. The fish was super tasty, and I loved the miso soup that came with it. Not too salty, not too bland. All in all, I'm really quite happy with these guys!!

I just re downloaded this app to write a review about how amazing this place is. I used to go to Yuraku all the time but after getting food poisoning last time, along with another friend of mine getting food poisoning the last two times she went there, I had to swear that place off forever. TSAB is insanely delicious--I highly recommend the Madness roll and the Samurai roll. I've ordered here dozens of times now for take out or delivery (which is only $2) and seriously cannot recommend this place enough! Their hot tea is delicious and I was also given a free miso soup when dining in. Their wait staff was also completely attentive during my entire meal, constantly refilling our glasses without us even needing to ask once. Great food and great service! 100% check it out--you won't be disappointed!

I have been looking for amazing sushi close by and I have to say I think I found it! The tuna was so fresh and it made me feel like I was sitting at the beach after a fishing trip and just eating chunks of tuna while cleaning it. You can't go wrong with any of the rolls they have my favorite was the amazing roll which was the perfect amount of sweet and spicy! I will be going back many more times!!$

Chinese Cuisine

The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.

Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.

There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.
