Best Chinese takeout I've had in Germantown! Not to mention it's only a mile from my house. We frequently call ahead for pickup, they are always very quick! It's rare that they tell me more than 5-10 minutes for it to be ready. By the time I put my shoes on, get out the door, and drive/bike/walk the mile to get there, the food is read to go! I've had many items from their menu over the years and I have yet to find anything I don't like.

Worse Chinese food ever. I'm all about authentic but I knew I wasn't going to get it here at spring garden. I was looking for a quick fix even though I knew it would be more americanized. I was desperate for some take out and order the default of tofu, sha cha beef, egg drop wonton soup, and crispy salted pork chops. All the dishes were bland and not tasty at all. No flavor in any of the foods. Also, I received more vegetables in my meat dishes than a veggie dish. There were so many fillers like baby corn galore and half a salad in the salted pork chops. Which by the way were so sad. They are supported to be pork chops and I got pork nuggets. The woman on the phone was short and I asked if they made three cups chicken and she said no and didn't suggest anything that would be similar or a good chicken dish at all. What a disappointment. Will not return.

Okay, so "friendly" is not the first word that springs into one's mind as one approaches the register. Perhaps it is "efficient." Yeah, we'll go with that. I walked in. The entire conversation: Cashier: Can I help you? Me: I'd like an order of the Orange Chicken please. Cashier: $10.39 I handed her $20 Cashier, giving me a receipt and change: "10 minutes." Okay, so that's "efficient." No problem - just hope the food is good. The food was ready in about 8 minutes, and the cashier packaged it up and handed it to me. She said "Thank you, have a nice day" and smiled. Win. I got the food home, and found it to be just okay. I certainly got some chewier bits of the chicken, but the flavor of the sauce was pretty good. The broccoli was good! I won't make a special trip to come here, but if I'm there getting my hair cut, I may stop by again.

Eat here all the time. Work is close so easy to stop in to pick up lunch or dinner. Food is always fast. I like food hot and it's never really spicy enough for me. The owner (cashier/ lady on phone) is very short but friendly, once you get her to say hi.

So far the lady who toke my order was short with me on the phone. The deliver man was rude, he kept saying TIP, TIP. Hold on a tip is not required. But my daughter answered the door so she gave him 50 cent. The food is bland. I'm going back to Happy Uncle! Two ppl recommended this place I'm not happy.

This is a great place for carry out or delivery. The angel hair noodles and the Mongolian need are a few of our favorite entrees. My children love their wonton soup. The portion size is pretty good for the price.

The food their is great but the phone service is not. It's hard to understand the lady. She always puts you on hold. When you ask for no veggies or no shrimp there is always a piece of unions ! They need to fix that !

I was in town for business. I was going to order pizza delivered to my hotel room but I couldn't find a pizza that interested me so I decided to look for something else. I found Spring Garden Chinese. They were very polite on the phone when I ordered and the food was delivered to my room in about 30 minutes. Excellent service. The food was awesome. I couldn't eat all of what they brought there was so much. It is a real gem in the area. I hope others utilize their delivery service. 5 stars from me. I will be ordering again from them when I am in town.

I walked in and ordered take out here the other night. They give good portions for the price. They can get pretty busy during dinner time. I got there around 7 and their phone was ringing nonstop. My wait time was about 25 minutes. This little take out is located in the corner of the Fox Chapel shopping center near Roy Rogers. I'd probably order here again but I'd call it in instead.

Maybe it was a bad day but I did not have a great experience here. The woman on the phone was very short with me when taking my order. She said it would be about 45mins for delivery - no biggie.... about an hour later we get our food and I am greeted to a man talking on his blue tooth very loudly. I didn't even get to say thank you he was so concerned with his convo. We got the food and the flavor is just... blah. The steamed pork dumplings did not have a lot of flavor, the shrimp lo mein tasted like just straight fish and the mongolian beef was nothing but onions. (I searched for the 'beef' and maybe got one serving - we planned on sharing. I will not be going back here ever, for $32 it was so not worth the money. We ended up throwing a pizza in the oven.

This place has gotten really bad. They keep saying where I live is to far away which really doesn't make any sense since they used to deliver here before. Now they have stopped because one of the employees was illegaly using our credit card and they tried to blame it on us which was stupid because all we had to do is trace the card back and one of the employees name popped up proving someone there was using it. So now we use cash but they still refuse to deliver to us and lie. Plus I think they're delivery guy smokes so whenever we get our food it always has that smell of smoke. Then when u don't tip them they get angry or sometimes they attempt to take more money than the food actually costs. their food might be good but none of that is worth it if that's how there gonna treat u if I could I would give this place a zero!

Good food but wished their portions were a little bigger. I always go for their fried rice but love love their walnut shrimp.

Just about everything is really good. Portions are a nice size for the price. I recommend the chicken corn soup, Peking duck, kung pao chicken, and chicken with cashew nuts.

They are always fast for delivery. Everytime I call and place an order the girl on the other end always understands the order I place; I never have to repeat my order. I wouldn't say the food is great, but it's your normal Chinese takeout food. I am always pleased with their service.

New to the area and tried them out. Faster than expected delivery and the food was piping hot. Overall good food and decent experience. Would've been 5 stars but customer service leaves a little to be desired as driver was quite curt, bordering on rude at time of delivery.

Spring Garden is a solid restraunt when it comes to consistency. The delivery time they give you is either on time or 5 or 10 minutes prior to. The shrimp fried rice is always cooked finely (the rice AND the shrimp). I recommend their orange chicken and beef and broccoli.

Pretty good Chinese carry out. I generally call ahead and pick up the food. There is a $10 credit card minimum.

The combination wonton egg drop soup was good, thought lacked seasoning. The shrimp toast was tasty, the shrimp egg foo young patties were excellent, but they came without any gravy! The crispy beef was good, though a little fatty. Overall, the flavor was above average.

The best Chinese take-out in Germantown. We like the General Tso's and the Mongolian Chicken. The pan-fried dumplings are very good, and the sauce is perfect. The food is solid. I'm giving it three stars because in my book, 3 stars is about as good as Chinese take out gets.

One of the better Chinese take out restaurants in Germantown. I like their curry shrimp fried rice, Szechuan shrimp and salted pork chop. Can't go wrong with anything on their menu.

The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.

Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.
