Great place to go for a treat, the staff is really nice and you always get to try a flavor before buying it. I like their custard and ice. I bring little kids here to treat them when I get the chance, it's always rewarding to see a big smile on their face. (Of course it's great for everyone older than kids).

What can I say? Rita's is awesome. My son loves all of the flavors. My only complaint is the prices! But that is all Rita's. They are certainly not shy about their prices and prices for even just a small ices is very "ambitious". But people pay! Nice gimic they have going on. They're the only ones that can get like 3 or 4 bucks for a cup of water with some colored sugar in it..god have mercy on your wallet if you want some ice cream.

They have the best Italian Ice, and a very wide variety of flavors. The staff are always very friendly too. I only wish they were open later than 9 pm

Ive been to Ritas a million times but I never Yelped about it so here I go. I love this place! Now, if your coming from 118 its like playing cat and mouse to make a left turn because some people in Germantown have the Memememe its all about meme complex and wont pause 10 seconds so you can turn. Geesh! So once you do get into the lot. You go right up to the window and place your order. They have so much to choose from. I love their italian ice. I love mango and strawberry flavors its so addictive that I cant even get myself to try a new flavor. their gelati is sooooooooooo yummy. cant decide on ice cream or italian ice? why not have both? lol. they are soo yummy. They also have health conscious options here if your watching your figure. They always have promotions going on and if you look at your junk mail, you might see a BOGO free offer. They have promos of when its your bday. so check out their website.

Great place, a bit of cramped parking but very nice staff and one of the few places with CHOCOLATE ice. You heard me right, they have chocolate flavored ice. I prefer the cherry but I rarely see chocolate at other locations.

Heard a lot of good things about Rita's, thought it would be a good a great end to a long day of site seeing with my family. The Gelatos hit the spot, very delicious and refreshing. I got the cotton candy gelato. My mother enjoyed her watermelon ice and my father loved his frozen lemonade. I will definitely return.

If I take the time to ride my bike anywhere then I like it. I love Ritas. The water ice can't get better. This Rita's is always offering deals. My favorite day was "buy one get one free" Tuesday. The best way to cap off a long sweaty summer day. If your lucky you can grab a bench or sit on the staircase.

This is the closest Ritas near my home so I frequent here quite often. Its become a hot spot within my circle of friends; we consider it the perfect place to end a long day. If you've never been to a Rita's before they're main specialties are their frozen custards and italian ice. Combining the two gives you a powerfully and delicious treat that'll make you coming back for more (they call it the Gelati). They also have mixed McFlurry like treats as well as smoothies. I stick to mostly the Gelatis, my favorites being blueberry. Mango has reached celebrity status amongst my friends. I especially like their custards because its not too sweet (unlike places like Cold Stone... blegh!) and oh so creamy. As for the service, you'll usually find two long lines with multiple families in each group. They take their time, but they give you the utmost attention when you're ordering. Generally, the staff is pretty young (I'm guessing high school age?) but they're very friendly and always willing to give samples. This is perfect for this kind of dessert place, time slows down and you're able to relax with friends or family. If they carry out their business strategy well enough, I could see them becoming a DC area favorite pretty quickly. Until McDonalds decides to catch on and make like a McRitas or something.

I had never heard of Ritas until one of my friends asked me to go with her and I must say they have the best italian ice in America. I love this place so much that we go there at least 2-3 times a week. Its always packed too! But man is it good!

Heard from a few people that if it rains on a Thursday FREE Rita! Pouring down today and after a long day I was surprised to remember that it's Thursday and actually raining Lets go get a free Rita! Well I get up to the window say Hi and please can I get a free strawberry Ice Rita. Only to be told that the manager decided not to do it anymore! I had no wallet on me and ran back to my car drenched and empty. Not cool of management!!!!

Seriously surprised at the variety and quality of their ice. Seen them around so often at fairs/shows/exhibits/etc., and never tasting them, I wasn't sure if they were "too commercial." Being a die-hard fan of other ice locals also made me skeptical. They've adone a nice job on a number of the ice's we tried...cherry, strawberry-mango). The sugar-free strawberry-lemon ice was a bit tasteless. Nothing like a cup of ice on a hot summer muggy humid day.

Polite staff, clean outside (no trash littered around the benches). Ordered frozen yogurt (custard), which was delicious--more cream than ice. Didn't try any flavored ice this time, plan to next time.

Fast speedy service. The associate was nice and polite. It's always a delight when they have the flavors that you mouth have been salivating for. The one thing I didn't like is they do not have the reward machine to punch the virtual Rita's card.

Wow, Rita's is awesome. How did I not know this before? So fun too - just a walk up building, so it feels like you're at the beach or out on a country road (if you can ignore the strip mall behind you and roads in front of you!). Perfect thing for a hot hot summer afternoon. Yummy Italian ice and sitting in the grass under a shady tree. Slow service, but it's really the kind of thing to enjoy when you're not in rush anyways.

Great frozen ice for a good price. I recommend the Swedish Fish frozen ice because it tastes like the candy. Speaking of that flavor, they should have it more often...
