Great service & great taste. What else do I need? Specially, the chicken kan poong gi is a must menu that you got to try! Very crispy, yummy sauce and juicy taste! Of course, I like another menus, too but their chicken kan poong gi is the best ever. I know all the Korean style-Chinese restaurants in MD, VA area but their chicken kan poong gi is the best!

Best kept secret in Germantown. I had the hot soup and the pork and red sauce. However this is not for that faint of heart the food is spicy. If you can't handle say a 6 at a thai restaurant this is not for you. But the value is off the chart. If you are feeling adventurous and cam handle spicy food try this place

very good food and a good place to eat after grocery shopping at Lotte. The owner (the lady) is very sweet & remembers faces very well, even what you ordered! I've tried a lot of their food (jajang-myun, jam-bbong, tangsoo-yook, dumplings, kang-ponggi ... ) all delicious!

Just moved to the area and was craving Korean Chinese Food. I found this little joint inside a Korean Grocery store and I wasn't expecting too much as I've had food from these places before. However, I was very surprised at the quality of the Jja Jang Myun as well as the portion size. It rivals jja jang myun I've had in the best places in NYC where I grew up. Definitely going here again to try their other dishes.

Being a Korean American I am always on the look out for good Korean food! Usually joints inside a Korean grocery store turn out to be not so great, Kook Bin's food is always consistently delicious!! My family and I always get Jang Pong, Jajang Meon, and Tangsuyuk. Their prices are fairly moderate and portions are filling. The couple that run the stand are very friendly and remember our faces! If you like Korean Chinese food try this place out (it's inside Lotte)

While the girlfriend tried Palace, I opted for Kook Bin's Ja Jang Myun and fried dumplings. Hearing from all the other Yelp reviews, I was somewhat disappointed by them. It was my first time trying Ja Jang Myun, which essentially is noodles with thick black bean sauce, onions, pork and veggies (?). The flavor was good, but because it's just the same taste at every bite, I got tired of it after the 8-9th bite. The meat portion was small, as I tried to scoop up as much onions/meat with the noodles, but only be disappointed more often than pleasantly surprised. The fried dumplings were average - the wrapper was better than the meat/veggies inside, which is similar to raising your expectation real high at first, then bring you back down to reality. Overall I still finished the noodles and took home the dumplings. I don't regret trying something new, and certainly the lady at the counter was very nice. Nevertheless, we found Palace's soup to be much more compatible with our taste buds.

I have tried the jja jang myun, jjam ppong, tangsuyuk, and kan poong ki from here. I think the kan poong gi is the best dish they have here. The jja jang myun and tangsuyuk is just okay not great. The jjamppong just has so many vegetables and very little seafood.

Had the spicy seafood soup while in town. Was very tasty. Service was very friendly.

Friendly customer service. I always eat Chambon (spicy seafood soup noodle). It s the best anywhere, simply because the noodle is made FRESH when you order. I ate here so much that the lady already know what I want from a distance. Highly recommended.

Great food! The dumplings here are delicious. I've tried the pan fried, steamed, and the large king size dumplings and they are all perfect! Clean and quick, this is a great place when on the run.

Love the seafood noodle soup! Huge portion with great amount of seafood. Spicy and delicious! No frills cafeteria/food court style seating makes this a perfect quick meal!

My husband and I came to Kook Bin last week but saw that they are closed Tuesdays & Wednesdays; luckily, we were in the area and decided to check them out again. Kook Bin is located inside the Lotte Food Court (on the west side of the building in the back). The ajumma who is at the front is oh-so-sweet; you look at their offerings and order, and you let her know if you want to dine-in or do a carry-out. We shared the fried mandoos, a platter of ggangpoongi, and a bowl of jajangmyun. The mandoos were crispy and the filling was pretty okay (pork and chives); it came with a side of soy sauce - one of the better mandoos at a Korean establishment! The bowl of jajangmyun was okay - my husband saw that they had their own handmade noodles that were being cut, so that was cool; however, the sauce was too watery for me, so I wasn't much of a fan - I just wished the sauce had more flavor and it was more thick! The ggangpoongi were also just okay - less dressed in the sauce, but the chicken had great thick and crispy skin. The sauce was a little less flavorful, too. I am hoping that the jajangmyun is just a consistency issue, and I think I might request extra sauce on the gganpoongi the next time. A decent place if you find yourself starving while grocery shopping at Lotte.

The ja jang myon (noodles stir fried into the sauce) is probably the best in the DMV area. Obviously I have not gone to every single 100+ Korean restaurants around the area to make a definitive claim, but the quality of the handmade to order noodles, the good balance of savory and sweet flavors of the sauce, the hint of pork fat flavor stir fried into the noodles, and the 2 person serving size for 10 bucks, is just too good to be true! My credentials: I know a bit about Ja Jang Myon from having eaten various versions since early childhood including Chinese types, Japanese types, and Korean types.
