The hostess was outside and noticed us approaching. She greeted us and held the door open. We were quickly seated. It was slightly after 7 pm, a Wednesday evening. Our server came by the table within a few minutes. He was a little slow paced. Our drinks could have used more ice. Our soup was hot, salad cold. Our entrees were hot, salmon and blackened whitefish. It would have been nice if our dirty and empty salad plate and soup bowl were removed when the entrees were served. We asked for real butter. It took the server way too long to bring it, about 5 minutes. Also, my drink refill was sweetened ice tea. My original drink was plain unsweetened ice tea. We asked for a container for our leftovers. We got the check, had to ask for the container again after patiently waiting 5 minutes, though I did go and pay the check to kill some of the time. This place is a reasonably priced diner. Clean, well lit, good service.
there is absolutely no sense of urgency here - This morning Sunday, Jan 26 - 1/4 of the restaurant was empty and about 20 people were waiting. No one cares if there are people waiting and waiting. Servers are generally good and friendly but the management is poor - how can they stay open like this? We saw 3 parties (8 people) walk out when they saw the line! Get it together, people!

I had breakfast here. It is nice that they offer healthy options. The food was okay but not great. Prices were good. Service was friendly but slow. They were definitely understaffed.

This place would get zero stars. We went last Sunday to grab some dinner - we were seated by a nice hostess.... here's the kicker - the restaurant was slow and we waited for over 15 minutes and not even one waiter/waitress showed up, yet they kept staring at our table. Uh.....something's wrong here. We just left. Will never come back here again - is this how you run your ship? Let me off (wait, I did...) Thanks for the shitty experience, never ever ever ever again will you see a penny from me. BTW - dressing up as white trash may get you some service. :)

We go here about twice a month. We don't eat out a lot but the service is is excellent. The people are nice. The food is good - not outstanding - but for the price it is good value. I like the place.

I just want to start out by saying that my boyfriend and I have learned our lesson-when a place has a bad rating on here, it really holds true! We went to this location this morning for breakfast. We gave the very nice hostess our name and as we were sitting down to wait for our table (15-20 minute wait), I happened to jump on my phone to check the rating of this place. We saw that it was a one, but decided that we'd give it a chance simply because the last review we saw on my phone was a couple months old. Five minutes after giving them our name, they sat us at a table by the kitchen. The server came up right away and asked us for our drink orders. She was a little preturbed that my boyfriend was on his cell phone (he didn't have a choice, he was on call and had to answer), so I ordered his drink for him. She promptly bought our drinks out and took our orders. 20 minutes later, we got our breakfasts. I had two eggs with has browns and toast while my boyfriend got french toast and toast. Everything (and I mean EVERYTHING) was COLD! Nothing was even lukewarm! We were hungry, so we ate it. Luckily, neither of us got ill, but I strongly believe that's because we didn't eat any of their meat and I made sure to get my eggs scrambled. I noticed that the man beside us ordered sausage and it looked as though it was swimming in grease! As for the cleanliness of the place-it was okay. The tables and floors were well kept. However, the bathrooms (at least the Ladies) was a mess! There was TP all over the floor and the toilet seat in the one was gnarly! Nonetheless, in about 45 minutes, we were seated, fed and left all for under $15. It wasn't the absolutely worst experience I've had eating out, but it also wasn't the best. I definitely don't think I'll be returning to this location any time soon.

Terrible, horrific experience. Waited 5 minutes to be seated. Took 25 minutes for our food to come because one of the plates was prepared wrong and saw our food sitting on the warmer for 10 minutes. Pancakes were hard. Had to send em back. No silverware at first. Pancakes exchanged and hair in them. Almost puked on the table. Go anywhere else. Manager was rude. Only thing good was servers apologies for cooks errors. He was not at fault. Clearly management was.

The service was ok. Delivery of the food was very slow since there were only two cooks in the BOH but the food was very good. Overall I'm a happy camper. I would return but will be prepared for to wait.

Each visit to this establishment just gets worse. Today, I ordered Pot Roast Hash with over easy eggs. After a long wait, my dish arrived cold. After getting the waitresses attention and telling her it was cold, no apology. She just snatched my plate from me and walked away. 5 minutes later my dish appeared again. It was the exact same food. They just nuked it in the microwave. My eggs were now well done. I flagged her down again. Again, no apology. Just walked away. She then returned and said they would make me a new entree. By this time, I just said we wanted the check. She disappeared again, brought our check and tossed fit on the table and said the manager has removed the dish. Well, I sure hope so! Unfortunately, I don't know her name, as another waiter had taken our drink menu and the receipt has his name on it. I can tell you she is one of the twin sisters. POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE from beginning to end,

Unfortunately, I was very hungry and Mcdees was not going to cut it for breakfast. While I was waiting for my car to be repaired, I decided to give Bob-o a second chance. the hostess Sri is a very sweet ol lady. Always very welcoming and charming. My waitress well, yeah though she was young she kinda reminded me of Flo from Alice...a very old sit com from back in the days. I order the basic breakfast. two eggs, sausage, toast, hash browns and a side of bacon. It should be easy right? My eggs were okay a little cold..., sausage was horrible. I dont know what cheap food distributor they use whether its Sysco or FoodCorp etc... It was no Jones or even remotely close to the Bob Evans Sausage u buy in the grocery store. So yeah, I left that on my plate. Hashbrowns were okay but nothing to run home to tell mom about. Toast = prision bread! Very nasty! No Wonderbread or Sunbeam quality. So I had to ask for butter to make it edible. Service: If you read my previous post, it hasnt changed a bit. First the servers are sweet when they first come out asking for your drink order. Then when after your food comes thats it! They disappear and wander off to Andriod/Blackberry/Iphone Land.... So when my server came back I asked for some butter, and to my horror. She threw my butter on the table and my bill! I was like oh no she didnt. And never came back again. So that was the last straw. For that no tip. Plus the fact that I never got refills on my drink or napkins. The bacon was the best thing there. It was crispy. But seriously, you can go elsewhere... I would rather take the back roads of 118 and to MV and eat at Dennys!

She said..." So normally I'm all about some good breakfast food at Bob Evans...however, the service here was very bad, that's where the 1 star is coming from. Our waiter was really mean...it was like we were inconviencing her. She kept forgetting what we ordered to drink then forgot to bring out silverware and asked how our food tasted...my husband's response was...well can we have some silverware? Anyways....when we left, the host that cashes us out was really rude too." He said..."Hold on, I'm still sick from the horrible service. Wow, usually you experience one or two bad waiters, but from the hostess to the waitress was just bad. Rude, like we shouldn't of been eating and interrupting her job. Never going there again, or any other Bob Evans. Just threw up again by the way. "

I mean...its Bob Evans, lol! Get the biscuits and gravy and scrambled eggs w/ bacon and hash-browns. Then you're set! Fellas this is a place to take your g/f...not to take a new girl on a date. I did not understand... the place was empty. There was only us and a few customers scattered throughout the place. It's not like the staff was super swamped and busy. Why was it so hard to get better service? Everything...just about everything took at least 10 minutes. A straw for the kids. An extra bowl. A refill. The check. You ask one person for help, and that person will take ten minutes to get another person for help. And the food? Took forever. It was served cold. Some of it even seemed like it was microwaved because a part of it was hot while the other part was cold. Why didn't we complain? I bet if we did we would've ended up waiting another hour to get the order right. We just wanted to get out of there; over and done with. Overall, I felt we were ignored, and our time was wasted for no good reason. The whole dining experience was a drag. I generally love Bob Evans restaurants, ...but I have no love for the one in Germantown.

I prefer bob Evans breakfast over IHOP any day. It has more of a home made meal taste to it. The wait is usually 30-60 minutes on Sunday mornings depending on the size of your party. The hostess was not able to tell me where I was in line or how much longer I would have to wait. She was young so I ignored it, once we finally got sat our waiter came over and took our drink order quickly, that's about the only thing she did quick. My drink took another 15 minutes to come and once we put in our order we got our food about 30-45 minutes later. The food was good but our waitress messed up on some of out orders. What we expected to be a quick breakfast run turned out to be more of a 2+ hour stay. Love the food, very unsatisfied with the service. Be ware of the poor service

Judging by other reviews, I think people expect a little too much when they walk in to Bob Evans. If it was trying to claim 5-star status, yes, it would receive 1 star. But I think it delivers exactly what it's supposed to deliver. Quick, good, 3-star breakfast food (never tried lunch/dinner). I've very much enjoyed my meals there. I always order these two (even my breakfasts need dessert): - bacon, egg, and cheese on a buttered biscuit w/ extra bacon: Much more real than stopping at McD's. - blueberry crepes: rolled and filled with a cream cheesy-goo and topped with blueberry sauce (and little mini frozen-style blueberries) and whipped cream. I don't care if it's low-quality food. Even cheap food can be satisfying to me. The service fits right along with the 3-star expectation. They're a bit under-staffed and don't come by the table too often. But they're always polite and get their job done well-enough.

It's Sunday morning here. SUNDAY...!!!!!!! Three servers and a slightly less than Dim hostess I don't expect the world when I come here, but if the hostess looks at you and you are within five feet of one another, a "hello" is nice. This one looked at us like a raccoon in headlights. The place was NOT crowded or busy and we were the only two waiting for a table, many were open. That said, we waited for ten minutes for her to find us a table. She then sat us down between two families of six with noisy kids. WTF????? We don't come here often and are always reminded of why. Foolish me.

It's Bob Evans......I wasn't expecting perfection. We stopped in 9am on 5/7/2015.......Nancy was our server. She was very nice....attentive. Our food wasn't great. It took a while to get it....I asked for crisp hash browns......what was brought to me was a small portion of shredded potatoes that were burned on one side and not cooked on the other. Same thing with my french toast.....The food was prepared as tho he was in a hurry but I am not sure why it took so long to get to the table. There was only 4 other tables with customers so not sure what was going on with the cook. If he is new....he needs more training.....if he is old, he needs more training.

Had an early bird breakfast with friends and had a GREAT experience with Judy, our server. She was very attentive, more than nice and a people's person. She knows how to make her money (Thumbs up). She made me feel very welcomed and comfortable with her personality. The food took some time to come out but I assumed because everything was being made to perfection, which it was. Anything is possible: especially good customer service, even at a Bob Evans. I will definitely be returning to dine in with Judy. The wild berry lemonade is EVERYTHING! :)

This place has gone downhill. I wish I could give them less then one star. Ordered the turkey meal for my child and got maybe one piece of turkey. Complained to the manager who said he would get me more turkey but never did. He walked away huffing and puffing at my request so it's obvious that no one seems to even care about the service. Beyond disappointing and I won't be coming back. This place just needs to shut down!

I read the other reviews with interest. I agree the service can be a little slow, and they need to organize their host stand area better. But the two times my wife and I have been here now we have really enjoyed the food. You don't get as much food as you do at iHop for the money, but the Bob Evans hotcakes are amazing and worth a little extra. I love iHop pancakes too, but the BE hotcakes are a step above for me, hence a 4 instead of 3 star review. Looking forward to returning, but probably not at a busy time given their service issues.

Disappointed in the chicken pot pie. They dont bake them anymore. The veggies aren't cooked and the filling could be hotter and have more chicken. Carrots are still hard. It's almost like they weren't finished yet, so they just heated the filling up in the microwave, put it in a bowl (no bottom crust), and placed a flat smushed biscuit on top. I was able to lift the top crust off and it didn't even have any gravy touching the bottom. The chili was pretty lame too. Not enough meat or beans... Just mostly sauce, and it came out after the food instead of before it.

Host staff is useless and (what seemed to be) the manager was walking around aimlessly and was VERY apathetic. Apparently he hates his life and everything in it. The waiter we got was very polite and fast. The 2 stars are for him since he restored my faith in humanity. If you MUST HAVE homestyle food, stay at home and make your meal. If you're lazy and need to come here, ask for Luis.

I'm pretty realistic when it comes to what one should expect from a restaurant, after all, I worked in the business for ten years. So, it is with that experience I'm most disappointed in Bob Evans. Food will come out late, servers will appear tired, food might not be hot -- these are all things one should expect here -- it's Bob Evans, not Citronel. However, there is one thing that regardless of the restaurants status, is inexcusable -- opening and closing as scheduled. It is 7:01 a.m. On a Sunday morning and although this is prime sleep time for many, this is quiet breakfast time for others and Bob Evans is and hour past their scheduled opening time with no indication of when they will open. There are employees sitting in their cars waiting for someone to open the door. Bad form Bob Evans.

Worst dining Expierence. I have been there many times and keep thinking it will get better. Never again. Theres a reason Ihop is always on a wait. No sense of urgency and complete waste of time and money. What a joke. We waited 55 mins for our meals. When i asked the server for the toast that we paid for his response was... Does it look like I cook the food. HA! That was the last penny you will ever see of mine again.

Was craving a "home cooked" breakfast but should have just cooked at home. Food was lukewarm at best and they must have been running low on ice that day. The worst part was the glass partition was absolutely filthy! It had not been cleaned in a while and was disgusting. Makes me wonder if a restaurant does not care about the cleanliness of what customers CAN see, then how unclean are the areas out of sight like the kitchen. Will never go back.

In search of the perfect breakfast, we visited here on a winter storm late-opening day. I noticed the "fried mush" on the menu, and I tried it because I really like fried grits. I didn't like the mush very much, although it was not bad. Certainly it was better than some of the grits I have had lately at other restaurants. Well, this review is not about mush. The mush comes with 2 eggs and bacon. I asked if the eggs can be served as a cheese omelette, and the waitress said yes. Perfect. Wally and I each ordered fried mush with 2-egg cheese omelettes and bacon. The omelette had some cheddar cheese sprinkled on top, and - to our surprise - a generous filling of cheddar cheese as well. There was a rather large stack of bacon, and the fried mush was served on a separate plate with 2 (count 'em: two) pats of butter spread, enough to drench those fried grits in as much butter as one wishes. With a sprinkling of salt, they were not bad, although not really the same fried grits that we make at home. The mush also came with syrup. All this for $7.99, less than the cost of a 3-egg omelette alone. Wally's coffee was not great, but at least it was not watered down, and the price was $2.19 with unlimited refills. We have had worse. This breakfast exceeded my expectations, and I look forward to a return visit to try a 3-egg omelette. I noticed from the menu that the Western omelette is served with cheese! Overall, this was a great experience and an exceptional value. If the service here is as disappointing as other reviewers indicate, maybe we'll see that next time. Today, everything was ship-shape, and I'm happy.

Pitiful. My food came out piecemeal. Waiter forgot this, forgot that. When my entrée finally arrived, it was cold. Avoid this Bob Evans if you can. There are better places to eat in this area... try Wegman's, they have an incredible eatery.

Pleasantly suprised. Arrived on a Sunday morning. Quick service. Great hot food. Couldn't ask for anything more. Much different from my previous experience a few months ago.

Worst service ever. Went with the wife. Got greeted and than they forgot about us. We lift after 30 minutes of waiting, went to the manager to complain and left. Never go here it's the worst
