Pizza
Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.
Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.
Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Whether you prefer thin or thick crust pizza, you can find a pizza of your preference at the best pizza restaurants in your city.

Sub-par. 36 bucks included tip for a thin crust Pepperoni pizza, "breadsticks" if you want to call a small pizza with cheese on it sticks and a small side salad. Could have had a better meal from a national chain for half the price. The driver was nice though! Never again.

Ordered a pizza and a grilled chicken Caesar salad. I have ordered Caesar salads from so many places and have never received something so pathetic. If you want to put short cut cold rubbery pieces of chicken on your salad be my guest, but put that on your menu. I would love to know if this is the chicken they put in their chicken alfredo or use for their chicken parm. Extremely disappointed.

Not bad at all, really. Considering that everything...including pizza....is relative Vocelli's is not bad. It is certainly not as good as a pie one could get in NY or NJ, but the refreshing thing about the Vocelli in Gambrills/Crofton is that it is not trying to be something it is not (which is more than can be said for some other so-called "pizza parlors" in and around AACo.) On the other hand, Vocelli's quality, taste and service far exceed that of other franchise pizza and Italian cuisine establishments. The prices are OK and Vocelli does seem to offer good discounts/coupons on an ongoing basis. I do think that the $1 dollar delivery charge is sort of silly though. I don't really see the merit in charging that single dollar but perhaps there is some sort of psychological marketing angle I am considering......not really a complaint - more of an observation.

Nothing special -blah tasting and the pepperoni is so small it is dry around the edges. I have not found a good pizza place in Crofton/Annapolis area. I am a fan of NY/NJ or Chicago pizza. Delivery man was nice. Service was fairly quick and ordering on line was easy.

I thought the pizza and wings were great. I'd compare it's brand to that of dominos, papa johns and Pizza Hut, but out of all of those I think this pizza was the best. They were are also very friendly and they have plenty coupons.

Hot BBQ wings were not good. They were smothered in sauce that was medium at best. The wings were not meaty and bland. They used to be the best around. Hopefully they still have great pizzas. Will likely not go back competition is too strong around here.

I can't say enough good things about this place. Amazing! EVERY SINGLE EMPLOYEE I have ever spoken to has been over the top friendly, funny, and polite. The food is delicious (I should know- I eat there about once a week!). I recommend the Colosso size pizza because the huge slices remind me of the floppy huge NY pizza that I can't find anywhere in this area. The pizza rolls are to die for. The pepperoni stromboli is amazing as well. This is the best pizza place in the area and best delivery I've ever had. LOVE THEM!!!

I really can't understand what there is to complain about. i love the pizza here and it is my daughter's favorite as well. The little pepperonis are awesome! The get nice and crispy and that is why they are small. I order online and the drivers are always prompt and super courteous. I can't say anything bad about this Pizza or the staff. I have to admit that I am a Yelp troll because I use Yelp all the time but rarely if ever write a review. I just could not stand to see my favorite pizza place (in this area) trashed. BTW - Pizza is by far my favorite food and I always over order so I have this for breakfast and lunch the next day too.

Pizza is good--we had some issues with delivery, but the manager contacted us personally to resolve the issues and give us a reason to give them a try again. Thank you, Vocelli for your outstanding follow-up service!

Ok, so I just moved to Crofton. Being here for about a month i see MANY people ordering Vocelli for delivery. So they must be good right. Well, i received an ad in the mail for $2.99 Large pizza. Cant beat that! So i tried it. Once i opened the pizza, INSTANT DISAPPOINTMENT!. It looked terrible, half burnt, smallest pepperonis ever. Cant judge a book by its cover right? Ok, so i tried it and I was in immediate shock. I never tasted such a bland boring pizza in my life. C'mon its PIZZA, how can that be boring? Well Vocelli managed to find a way, and they did a damn good job. That large pizza is only worth $3, BUT lucky for me, the next day was trash day :)

some differing opinions here but nothing but luck with Vocelli so far (3 times). each time delivery has been not just on time, but fast. order has been correct and delivery driver friendly. as for taste...some pretty good pizza here. bear in mind, it is not gourmet pizza, but darn good for a friday night at home. i'm a customer

This place has changed so much since opening that it is no longer our go to pizza place. It's amazing how a business can advertise a special and not honor their own coupon. For example, they have a coupon for a large 2 topping for $6.99. You can order as many pizzas as you want with this coupon (I have order up to 30 at a time with it), yet the coupon for a large unlimited topping for $8.99 will only get you one pizza. No where on the coupon does it say 1 pizza only. Now they are saying that you cannot get double toppings with the $8.99 special. Again, no where on the coupon does it say any of this. What is the purpose of advertising a special if you aren't going to honor them? I used to really like this place, but over the past 8 months or so things have been going all downhill. I also cannot leave out the last time I called, I was placed on hold by a gentlemen who turned around and clocked out and didn't tell anyone I was on hold. I drove to the store and my call was still on hold and no one in the store even knew it! It's time to start going back to Wegman's and getting my own dough and making pizza myself.

I had one of the worst customer service experiences of my life last night. I ordered Vocelli's online and everyone in my family ordered separate menu items. At first everything seemed fine, I received confirmation emails and my order was delivered within about 40 minutes. Upon receiving the order I discovered that the salad I ordered was missing. The driver was already gone so I called the store to inquire about my missing salad. Dave, the young man that was answering the phone that night, told me I could choose to have a store credit or my salad. No apology was offered. I was hungry so I chose my salad. He told me he would send the salad out for delivery when the driver returned. I said that was fine, about an hour goes by and I still don't have my salad. As I am picking up my phone to call again, there is a knock at my door, it's my salad finally. I take my salad and say thank you, the driver grunts and walks away. Since the phone is still in my hand, I decide I need to talk with a manager because this is very bad customer service. I call and again Dave answers, I ask to speak with a manager. I am put on hold for a minute and Justin, the manager, comes on the line. I explain to him everything that has happened and how I waited 2 hours for one salad to be delivered from a restaurant that is less than 15 minutes from my home. Justin's solution to me: You should have just taken the store credit. What do you want me to do? You have your food now right? My response was, I was calling to inform you about your poor customer service and the excessive wait time for a salad. Justin again tells me you have your food I don't know what you want me too do. I ask, him so you are okay with excessive wait times for a SALAD and the poor customer service I received afterwards? No response from Justin, so I let him know I would be reviewing the restaurant online and ended our conversation. I was disappointed with my experience and would not recommend this restaurant to anyone. Next time I will try the one in Bowie.

I think my parents are in love but I don't see a real relationship happening between Vocelli Pizza and I. They weren't bad and I did love the crust. We ordered the pesto chicken and a small cheese. Both were good however, I cannot help that my taste buds love Papa John's. I just eat what they tell me to.

In the Crofton/Gambrills/Odenton area we are bombarded with pizza choices. I had heard of Vocelli's Pizza while working in Annapolis so I was excited to try the location near our home. I went on line to their main site and the menu was very appealing. Then they had an 1 800 number for all locations, which immediately took my mom and pop vision of Vocelli's away and replaced it with a chain store vision. I also learned after talking to a representative that Vocelli's was not a dine in facility. They had a special on Tuesdays, buy one get one. I generally try to take advantage of specials when trying somewhere new. They offer three sauces: traditional, pesto, or white; numerous toppings; and thin, traditional or pan crust. I ordered a traditional pizza with cheese and a white pizza with Italian sausage and mushrooms. When I picked up the pizzas I was greeted by two very attentive gentlemen. They opened the boxes and showed me the pizza. Both looked cooked to perfection and smelled wonderful. When I returned home, my family gave me that what place is she trying now look. Unfortunately, the white pizza was a little too dry and the cheese pizza's flavor was average. I don't know if my standards for pizza are too high. I have yet to find a quality pizza that stands up to the taste of NY pizza. A few are close, but none close enough to be my go to pizza place. Also, is it too much to ask for a quality pizza place that allows you to dine in? There is nothing better than eating a slice of good pizza surrounded by the look and feel of a mom and pop joint, even if it's a whole in the wall establishment. Vocelli's offers lunch specials from 11 am to 4 pm. There are a variety of choices from salads to Stromboli, and all are served with a soda.

This is my family's favorite pizza spot! We always order delivery and it shows up within 20 minutes. The pizzas show up so hot that the cheese will slide right off if you're not careful. I highly recommend Vocelli!!!

Horrendous, horrendous, horrendous! I know noone likes to read a long wordy review so here goes: 1. Told me it would be 30-35 minutes, took over an hour. 2. Ran out of pepperoni! What kind of pizza joint runs out of pepperoni! 3. When I got home I was treated to cold pizza and wings. Good thing I waited that hour for that! Vocelli pizza will never again get my money but if you decide to give it a try, good luck!
