This is about what you would expect, nothing more, nothing less. If you know about Bob Evans as a chain, then you know their menu and the style of food they serve. This particular location is not really remarkable for any reason, which is good in the sense that it's unremarkable for BAD reasons. Pros: * Consistent quality, which is fair/good. Not four star, but good. * Pretty fresh ingredients and wholesome menu. * Lots of healthy options. * Their signature sausage in either patty or link form, which I happen to thoroughly enjoy. * Pretty consistent service, usually very friendly. Cons: * Seemingly always short-staffed. * One or two regulars there have been known to be particularly short with customers. They are exceptions to the rule, though. * Potatoes (home fries in particular) are always hit or miss, and I've never had acceptable hash browns there.

It is not surprising that this location is frequently packed given the relatively close location of the retirement communities. The food is bland, the service is uninspired and you usually have to wait a while to experience it. We can to this location and I decided to try the Sunshine Skillet ("An open-faced omelet filled with crumbled Bob Evans® Sausage and home fries, topped with country gravy and shredded cheddar cheese. Served with two biscuits"). It was incredibly heavy and very salty. Obviously I should have expected the heaviness given the description, but it took a lot of pepper to make this dish edible. On the positive side, the biscuits were not too shabby. In case you didn't know, this is the type of restaurant that you pay at the register you walk by on your way in. I'd suggest looking elsewhere for breakfast if you're in the area.

This Bob Evans has a issue compared to other ones i've been too. They are very slow. It can take a while to get your food, and even have someone come over and take your order. Other then that its a typical Bob Evans full of old people for breakfast. (this one always has a bunch of old ladys wearing red hats having breakfast here a during the week must be a club or something).

Oh Bob Evans, Why do we have this love/hate relationship? I love breakfast food, but each time I order your french toast I always leave wondering why. Do I really hate myself that much to put me through the endless stomach torture? You're so much better than Denny's and you even surpass the Silver Diner, but I can only bring myself to give you two stars. Sigh, Craig

Kitchen was too slow. We went in for lunch on a Saturday, arriving at just after 1300. Took 10 minutes to get seated. Took 20+ minutes to get our food. Price point is decent. Menu american fare but hard to get a veggie at this restaurant. Not that most folks go to BobE for veggies. I'll bet they get most of their business from breakfast. The Veggie omelet is tasty, if you remember to tell them not to put cheese (WAY too much is the default) and hollandaise sauce (who *defaults* to hollandaise sauce?) on it. - FS

I have only rated twice. That being said I realize that Gordon Ramsay Steak in Las Vegas which I gave 5 stars is no where near compared to a Bob Evans. That being said, me and my girl went for a simple dinner here and we have been here a few times and the service was GREAT. This past time, not so much. We happened to be seated in a "section" that one of the waiters said very loudy "this is not my section and I will not serve them". I guess I was part of his section or her section and the customer service was horrible. We waited almost 10 minutes to get seated, not problem. We waited almost 15 minutes to get drink orders, kind of a problem. I am a jokester and tried to get the female waitress to smile and she did. Here is the bad, I ordered the 3 cheese burger and my gal a simple breakfast menu item...no big deal right? Well we watched as our orders sat in the window for more than 10 minutes, The waitress comes back another 10 minutes (20 minutes in the window) to deliver our food. I am told that "we are out of French fries"...REALLY? You wait until the order is complete to tell me you are out of Fries? She then procedes to give us our (half complete) order only to say it would be "just a minute for the smiley fries". My burger was not even luke warm, the "three cheese" burger still had some sort of shredded cheese that was not melted and it was gross. I am quick to ban a restaurant and this is one I am quick to ban. I did not complain to the guy at the register who asked if everything was "good", I just rolled my eyes and wanted to pay the bill. Tipped the waitress $2 and peaced out.

My family of five went tonight with poor results. We ordered three regular menu items and two kids items. An hour and ten minutes later our food came out... This is not the kind of food you wait more than 15-20 minutes for. While waiting we got to share stories of the last few times we came here with super slow service, the best being when our hot cakes (side items) came out about fifteen minutes after the rest of the food. The wait staff was very courteous the entire time which made me feel bad for them for having to apologize for the terrible service provided by the kitchen and management staff. This place is consistently not great and has earned me going somewhere else for a while.

I came here to have brunch w/ my cousin. It was so so, parking wasn't too bad and it was kinda busy. The staff was nice but it took a while to get some things. I may go back and update this review because it may have been that day that I didn't enjoy the service ... food was ok I didn't like the choices/deals they had that day.

Sorry Bob. We waited and waited and waited. People came in ordered and finished and left. We still had no food. With very patient 7yr old granddaughter. She even agreed we should just pay for drinks and leave. (Her birthday lunch choice). Then when her 'peachy' French toast came she ate some but 'it sure didn't look like the picture on the menu and was really cooked peaches'. She thought they were going to be fresh not cooked to mush. Our waiter never returned to check on us. (Think he was afraid to.) We explained to the manager we were unhappy and why. I asked if the cook had quit. His response was 'when you see me in the kitchen there's a problem'. Well he was right today. No more problems for us. We won't be back. (Granddaughters bacon sat on pickup shelf then the "cook" picked it up out of the dish and I guess warmed it up then plopped it back on the same plate. By this time we were so hungry I let that go. Now I wish I had had a hissy fit and left.)

Wow!!!! This place has HORRIBLE service!!! I still cannot believe that this place is this terrible considering its location. The service at the Bob Evans in Laurel is way better! We love going to the movie theatre at Wah Chapel so we decided to get breakfast before the movie started. We got there around 10:20am, was seated in an empty part of the restaurant (the seating is divided into sections) and NO ONE came to acknowledge us 'til after 15 min!!! I can understand a busy establishment, but at least let us know YOU know we're here!! When the food finally came, I had to point out that my boyfriend's hashbrowns were not loaded. (Loaded hashbrowns come with bacon bits, cheese, sour cream & chives) I asked for the same thing but mine lacked the sour cream and chives. The waiter did come back with my sour cream & chives, but my bf just wanted the extra charge to be taken off the bill because we did not want to miss the movie. My bf hates it when I complain because he said they might spit in our food or do much worse!!!! I'm sorry, but I'm a paying patron, and if I don't get what I ordered, it will be known!!! LoL. Our glasses took time to be refilled also. I should have asked for extra refills had I known I would wait that long. Now don't get me wrong, the food was good, this review was strictly regarding service! I will NEVER come back!!! I will just wait for the IHOP to open down the street.

Never had a problem with the service. Food is just your average food. Nothing stands out to be amazing to come here. I usually come when I just don't feel like cooking. Haven't had a problem with the cooking. Maybe once my food was cold, but other then that it's your average dinner.

9am. The men's bathroom is disgusting. I mean like hasn't been cleaned in days, disgusting. If you're managing a restaurant shouldn't you check the bathrooms when you open the store? And if the Manager did check and decided to leave it like that, what does the kitchen look like?

This place used to be better! I have been going there for years, but they have gone down hill. The service has gotten worse and you can be one of few in the place and it still takes forever. The food is already mediocre but has gotten worse. The politeness is gone too. They used to ask you how everything was at the register, but now they barely say anything. I guess they know you are going to say it sucked so don't ask anymore. You would think with all the new restaurants at Waugh chapel they would step it up. I for one will never be going back because I have far better choices at Waugh chapel and they are truly at the bottom.

Dropping down stars for our latest trip. While food remained good and everything was cooked to order, our waitress was absolutely awful. I think we just lucked out being in her section since everyone else seemed to be getting service. After taking our order she only stopped back by once to deliver our food. We had to flag her down just to get a coffee refill. Wouldn't have been so bad had she left us a carafe like everyone else got but I guess we just didn't rate. As a disclaimer this was prime brunch hour on Saturday but still...it was a bit more than I'm willing to forgive for one trip.

Well, the pancakes are back. That's something. And, I have to admit, for the food it is (just standard, diner-esque breakfast food from a chain), it really isn't that bad. Is it my first choice for breakfast? No. Is it a quick, effective and satisfying option for a quick bite with the family after church and before football, absolutely. Service can be slow (they are often understaffed), but they always try, which I appreciate. Come with low expectations and they will be met. lol!
