My food was so amazing I had to write this post before I finished eating. The pork was flavorful and hot. I don't need huge portions so I'm sure I'll be full from eating this however $9.25 for it seemed a tad high. Service was friendly and fast. They actually check on you versus the Pho place on Shady Grove rd. Do not drive past this place without grabbing something.

Glad to have another quality PHO place in the upper Montgomery County area! This is a good bowl of PHO and they also offer a full menu for anyone else interested. On to the review... The PHO was solid. In comparison to Pho 75, the broth was darker and milder, but nice and lean. It is a different blend of spices in there, maybe less anise flavor, and I honestly think they need to tweak that a bit to get it tasting more like PHO. It was still good, though. Noodles were also good. A little sticky but otherwise fine. My eye round meat is consisently very good. Large tender pieces of eye round. Not that tough chewy meat that Pho Nam serves. The Brisket was good but many of the pieces were too fatty or chewy for my taste, which is typical of brisket. I'll stick with the Eye Round at Pho Viet Saigon. The vegetables that come with the soup were crisp, fresh and plentiful. The iced coffee was large and brewed authentically at the table, but they need a bigger glass with more ice, or unfortunately a smaller cup of coffee. When I poured it into the ice it never got cold and there was not enough condensed milk in the coffee to make it sweet. So, it was a nice presentation but wasn't that good. The restaurant has been totally refurbished and looks clean and stylish. A nice change from many of the dirty PHO places we are used to. The service was fast and friendly. Like others, I didn't notice Vietnamese people working there, but maybe they were in the kitchen or this is Chinese run as another review mentioned. Either way, good food. The price was fair as it cost me $10 for a large PHO and iced coffee. Compared to others in the area, I liked it better than Pho 81, and it is on par with Pho & Grille and Pho House. It is much better than Pho Chi and Pho Nam.

Grilled beef on rice and grilled pork vermicelli bowls were excellent. Egg rolls were meaty, as were the wontons. Chicken wings remained on the small side and sodas came from the can (meaning no complimentary refills from the fountain). And unfortunately, the pho was not MSG-free, which I paid for later. Must remember not to finish broth next time - no wonder it tasted so good!

We found glass shards in our takeout bun bo hue and have pictures to prove it. The server said she would tell the manager so he could call us. We've never heard back and won't be returning.

Excellent. The pho and beef stew were both top notch. Friendly and efficient service too!

This is my favorite pho place!! Very flavorful!! The wonton with egg noodles is also amazing! I'm excited to try all the other items on the menu. The staff are always very nice!

I went back after not being there for a long time. This time I took my boyfriend who doesn't give praise out easily for food. He said he hadn't ever had food that tasted quite like this - and he meant it as a compliment. I wolfed down my summer rolls and Shrimp with Vermicelli. Soooo good. And the service was so nice while we waited for our takeout that we tipped him well anyway.

3 stars but I'll be back. It's not often I would write a 3 star review for a restaurant, and still would like to come back, but that's the case with Pho Viet Saigon. Upon seeing a coupon in the local flyers, we decided to stop by for dinner, and it was a mixed bag. Even though we wanted pho, we ended up ordering summer rolls, lemongrass grilled pork, shrimp, egg rolls with vermicelli, lemongrass grilled pork with rice, and wonton soup. Surprisingly, the wonton soup stood out of the crowd. The soup was delicious (though it can be on the oily side), and the wontons themselves tasted fresh. The only drawback is that you don't get a lot of wontons, at +$8 per bowl. The summer rolls were of average quality, just a tad below the type of rolls you can make yourself at home. And while I enjoyed the lemongrass grilled pork, the egg rolls were cold and smushy, the shrimp were overcooked, and the larger cut of grilled pork had a lot of fat on it. As far as portion size goes, they are fairly generous about their noodle and rice dishes. The wonton soup was done great, but it did not justify the +$8 that they were charging. Nevertheless we saw the potential of their soup, and that itself was good enough for us to come back and try their pho and noodle soup. I'd steer clear of their rice and vermicelli dishes though, as they didn't pay close enough attention to each individual ingredient. One note about service - it definitely had a family atmosphere where everyone were very nice and attentive.

My go to Pho place. Great service and clean environment. The portions are great, the meat is always tender, and the broth is flavorful. What more can you ask for?

Pho is one of my favorite foods, so take my word when I say that Pho Saigon is a good place to get it. They also have bun bo hue, but more on that later... The pho is very original, meaning it tastes different from other phos in the area. They have a very clean tasting broth, and when mixed with the right things, tastes fabulous. The good news is that the soup has less sodium than the other places for those of you who prefer not to be as bloated. The bad news is that the soup hass less sodium, and I like that salty kick in my pho (salty, sweet, savory, sour, bitter) which is where fish sauce comes in handy. More bad news, they don't have fish sauce readily available on their tables (maybe I should ask). To end on a positive note, their portions are large and they do not skimp on meat. Now to the bun bo hue (boon bo way). It is not authentic and is more Americanized. They acheive assimilation by removing the pigs feet, lemongrass, and congealed blood. The blood is replaced by meatballs, which is an excellent substitute as I think it has more flavor. The soup is not as red and spicy as most bun bo hue, so you true fans will have to add to your broth. Unfortunately, the lemongrass flavor is not replaced. The service is excellent, quick, attentive, and extremely friendly. How many pho places keep your water filled to the brim? Exactly! I am also always asked if I need anything else, just clues that show they really are trying to show their attentiveness. All and all, this is a solid place to get pho, but I prefer to grab my bun bo hue elsewhere. That being said, it should appeal to those of you less adventurous eaters who don't do well with very spicy foods. I enjoy conversing with the lady and young man behind the counter, and hope this place continues to stay in business.

A fellow yelper messaged and me and told me the bun bo hue was better.. i should've heed his warning.. really not so great pho. Very small bowl, barely any meat.. there's no essence in the broth, not even a smidget of oil!! That's where the flavors come from. Stick to the bun bo hue here, there's at least more flavor in it.

We were in the area and wanted something light and quick. Pho it is! We walked in to a fairly empty restaurant. We were a tad worried since it was prime time dinner time. We sat down and ordered immediately. (We typically get the same thing everywhere we go.) I didn't see any options for vegetarians. I went with the seafood rice noodle soup. But actually ended up getting egg noodle. I didn't want to make a fuss about it, so I just ate it. But that irked me since I don't want to eat egg. The server wasn't paying attention to me when I was ordering, I had a feeling which came out to be true. My partner ordered the combination meat Pho and was pleased. She thought there was a generous amount of meat. The soup had good flavor. She also ordered the chicken wing appetizer which I thought was kind of a rip off. Instead of the whole wing like most Vietnamese places do, it was 1/3 of a wing. So it wasn't actually 4 wings as stated in the menu. She liked the wings otherwise. I thought they were okay. We also had summer rolls without pork, which again was decent. My seafood noodle soup was decent. The Pho is definitely the better choice here. I don't forsee us coming back. There are better Pho places in the area with better and more options. We will stick to them. Prices are good. Parking is easy. Service was okay.

Before I walked in with my boyfriend I made a comment to him that I have never had bad Pho before. I was wrong. It started out with our table smelling. They did not throughly wash the rag. So we went ahead and moved. The reason I rated it badly is because of the broth. When I tasted my boyfriend's soup broth... It was very different from my broth like mine already had a bit of lime flavor. So either they felt the need to squeeze the lime in for me or they reused someone's broth. The meat in the soup was bland. There was absolutely now flavor. As a frequent pho eater, I would say eat someone where else. Oh and as I was leaving I could smell the same rag smell throughout he restaurant.

The food was great, the atmosphere and service were also very nice. I only wish there were more vegetarian options, as there is only one.

Great food.. delicious broth.. great service.. safe to say one of the best in the area.. One of the things I do appreciate about this place is that they have many choices. It's not just pho.. Also the chicken wings here was a delightful surprise

It's so hard to be objective when it's staple food, especially if you've had it all the time growing up and in the motherland, but here goes: Chicken wings - I swear I almost balked at my brother when he insisted on ordering these as an appetizer. I mean what Asian establishment would do a good job with an American staple? I was totally wrong. They did a fantastic job. These bad boys were small, but came out crispy on the outside, tender and juicy on the inside and flavorful! Even the hubs was impressed when he tried these out here. Fried Wontons - like the chicken wings, these little nuggets came out piping hot, super crispy on the outside and moist and well-seasoned on the inside. Grilled Pork and Rice - My staple Viet food. There is seriously nothing like waking up and eating this hearty meal in Vietnam while you watch the billions of busy motorcyclists riding by. But we're not in Vietnam right now so this will have to do. The grilled pork was chopped up, not really what I'm used to, but the grilled pork was well-seasoned. I'm also used to broken rice with this dish, but they had regular rice. This wasn't bad, but I could've used some more flavor. Yellow Noodles & Shrimp Soup - Hot soup, al dente noodles, all perfectly seasoned! This was def comparable to what I've had elsewhere in the area. Wonton Noodle Soup - mimicking the province my parents are from, this bowl came out piping hot, al dente noodles, and PACKED full of flavor. I didn't leave a single bite left. Thai Ice Tea - This one threw me off a bit because they used coconut milk. It tasted very different. That's really all I can say. Service was good and efficient. The place was clean, well-decorated, and was actually temperature-controlled! For this area, being that there aren't many Viet options, this is a very decent Viet place. Plus, you know a place makes good food when you see other fellow Vietnamese filling the restaurant. Til next time!

I couldn't believe how I was treated after being very loyal customer for a long time. I even try to support this restaurant by eat here as much as possible because it's was near my home. At first I thought the waiter was innocently nice . Anyway, one time I order a bowl of noodle soup and I request the the broth to be put on another bowl separately. This how some Vietnamese eat there noodle. Anyway, I've responded that he can't do it . It their way or the highway ..( well not exact words). But , he refuse to do it . So I ordered the noodle soup and ask him to give me another empty bowl with the order. I then have to separate the broth out to the empty bowl myself. I wouldn't eat here again.

Service is always good. This was my go to place for Pho but recently I've noticed they made their portions smaller with less noodles and meat. It just doesn't taste as good as it used to. I wonder what happened.

I came here to try pho for the first time. It was empty so made me a little worry. We sat down and our waitress was so nice love her energy. We got the wonton and spring rolls for appetizer, they both were very delicious!!! Then I had a plain pho which was so good I enjoy it. My husband had pork chops with steamed rice. He enjoyed it very much!!! I also ordered the beef tenderloin with vermicille I enjoy this this place very much I'm coming back soon and do recommend people to come try this place

This place is one of the better Vietnamese restaurants in the Gaithersburg\Rockville area where they offer not just pho but rice and vermicelli dishes as well. The food quality and portion size are all good relative to the price. The restaurant is spacious and good for large groups. The only problem is sometimes service is slow most likely due to the fact that this being a family owned restaurant so they may be short-staffed and it can take them a bit of time to serve and cook the food if you've a large group or there are many other customers waiting to be served. They also offer coupons and discounts listed on those local deals sites and newspaper advertising so it makes going to eat there an even better deal.

My fiancé and I came here for dinner one night. This restaurant is tucked in that little shopping center where Brusters and Great Beginnings is located. My fiancé ordered the #1 pho and I had the pork with an egg roll over vermicelli or rice if you wish. I'm not sure if the pork is supposed to taste like pork jerky but that's exactly what it reminded me of. My fiancé said he'll never order pho there again because he was left with some weird after taste that he doesn't usually get after eating pho. We probably won't be back.

As some one else mentioned, the broth needs some work. But the freshness of the meats and sprouts and kraw pow was perfect! Average sized portion of meat, but the meat was very tender and fresher than most Pho places. Maybe it's because the last Pho I had was from Pho Bistro on Muddy Branch. They suck so bad I was sick when I left. So the next Pho I had was from the place I am reviewing now, and it was knock me out good! Even though the broth wasn't the right exact flavor for Pho it was so good I drank it out of the bowl! For my money the best Pho is still in Wheaton. I also had crispy spring rolls with peanut sauce instead of fish sauce. They were hot and fresh, but small and not enough shell. If you're a fan of Pho you won't be disappointed. The interior was very Southeast Asian-Buddhist authentic. FIVE STAR service! The food came out quickly and the interior was clean (unlike some Rockville Pho spots... you know who you are).

Our fourth visit here on Oct 9, 2014. As before, their food was very good--fresh, clean, plentiful. Very friendly and courteous management/staff. Their prices were bit higher than their local competitors--by a dollar or so. This may discourage some people from returning. Would I return? Yes. I recommend you try their service/food.

#1. I grew up eating authentic Vietnamese food and have visited Vietnam numerous times. This is one of my favorite spots in the Germantown/Gaithersburg area for Vietnamese food. They have a variety of selection that is uncommon for most Vietnemese restaurants (who normally only sell pho). Whether it's rice, vermicelli, bun bo hue, or pho, they got it here. Definitely an awesome all-around Vietnamese restaurant that will let everyone get whatever they're craving for. Highly recommended!

This is one of the very few places that have bun bo hue and it's good. I come here all the time since it's so close to where I work. I like this place because of the selection here. There's different noodle soups if you're tired of the pho adventures. I've noticed that I don't end up as thirsty after eating from here as other pho shops, which means they don't go crazy with the monosodium glutimate.

  • Ben M.

I won't bother reviewing the food here. I'm sure someone has already talked about how great the food is here. What makes this restaurant better than most is who runs it. Customer service is excellent. The lone server was very attentive to our needs, from suggesting wonton in broth for my young niece (in the absence of small portions or a children's menu) to demonstrating how to prepare my wife's Vietnamese coffee. My wife and I come here regularly. Simple, good food and great customer service can't be beat.

  • Megan H.

Average pho! Pretty solid soup flavor - not too salty and just enough spice. This is probably the cleanest and largest pho location I've been to in the area. The restaurant is tucked away in a shopping center behind Brusters. A bit out of the way unless you're traveling on 355 NB coming up from Costco~

Bun Bo Hue is delicious. Definitely a hidden gem in the area. Excellent service as well.

I go there once a week. I love the chicken vermicelli and coffee! I used to work near by Eden center and it has full selection of Vietnamese restaurants. This is the good bun place in the area! I also try their rice and pho. I probably would want more beef in my noodle soup. The rice dish is about right

I hate to say there wasn't anything too special about this place. I wanted to adventure out and try another pho restaurant near my house. The service was friendly but it was a tad slow since there is only one wait staff. If you go during a semi-busy time, please be prepared to be a little patient. I have been here twice now and I probably will return just to support them. The summer rolls were fresh and the crispy egg rolls were hot, crispy, and delicious. The pho is a bit average but it's not bad. The broth had a nice and light flavor to it. The meat and such was pretty typical not too thin or thick. The bubble tea was not our favorite. The Thai bubble tea just had too much half and half=WAY too sweet. The tapioca balls were not fresh. I hope the business continues to grow and they need to make something stick out a bit.

    (3)
  • Timmy L.

Bun bo hue is on point! The pho is bold in taste and is very nicely decorated with plenty of veggies and meat; or no meat for vegetarians! The bubble tea is also unique, with whipped cream offered. Overall, the best pho place in Germantown

    (5)
  • Trinh T.

This place makes the best bun bo hue! Definitely definitely try it! As for the rest of the food lets see.... I had the milk tea bubble tea it was not good at all do not get it. Fried wonton was mediocre it's a take it or leave it thing. The com tam suon [imperial rice] was ok actually it was less than ok the rice was the smash rice most viet restaurants would use. But the food was a bit bland. Spring roll had lettuce in it which I thought was a bit weird since traditional spring rolls don't taste like that. But this place still gets a 4 star because the bun bo hue saves the day.

My favorite pho place in town (there are 3). The broth is very tasty before adding any spices. I love their pho. Also had a very tasty and large pork chop appetizer. I'm a big fan. Highly recommended.

  • Solace C.

Ive been to so many pho places and this was nothing to run home and tell mom. the pho was average. service was friendly. the decor was nice and trendy but again the pho was bland. the broth was very dark yuck.... the meat ( i got brisket) and it was paper thin. the garnishes were scarce. they were so cheap with the garnishes. unlike Pho House in germantown where they hook a sista up. Honestly, I didnt like my pho. for the first time ever, I left my pho on the table unattended. Usually my cat will eat the scraps I leave him but I guess he knew too that if the pho isnt good enough for his owner...he too will pass... Oh I wish Negrils would come back. :(

This place opened up next to us and we'd been planning to go for quite a while - sometimes we go to Bruster's for ice cream and this pho place looks pretty empty, which is disappointing because this area of Gaithersburg could really use some quality options and we'd like it to succeed. Finally we made it over last night, and we were quite pleased. All the food was very fresh, and most of it very tasty. We had summer rolls, which were huge and had a great sauce that I finished with a spoon. My girlfriend had lemongrass chicken with vermicelli which was very fresh tasting and we both really enjoyed. I had eye-of-round pho which was good - not out-of-the-ordinary good but fresh and tasty. Overall we were extremely pleased - a clean, pleasant place with freshly made and tasty food right down the road.

So many of viet places pop up and I give all them two chances. I had the pho and it was ok, I personally like pho 75 and Pho Chi if you're in that area. But if you're in Germantown you can now go wrong with this place.

I really want to like this place. We stopped by and found the place to be neatly decorated and clean. The service was very friendly and quick. So far so good. As the food came, my disappointment began. - spring rolls were ok, thick rolls with mostly shredded lettuce and vermicelli, half sliced shrimp but no pork. The sauce dipping sauce was good. - egg rolls were good, not huge but good quality. - vermicelli with grilled shrimp and pork was good however the noodles were over cooked and soggy. - bun Bo hue was a huge disappointment. I am a huge fan of this soup and I should have known to only order at places that specialize in this soup. The broth was overly spicy and lacked other flavor including lemongrass. I could barely finish the bowl. Overall this place looks promising and I will be back to try the pho.

Yet another Pho place that opened up in northern MoCo. The more the merrier I say. Pho has been an addiction for me for the past couple years. So far, I have tried all the top rated establishments according to Yelp between Germantown and Rockville. This restaurant is in the middle of the pack. The pho broth is average. Its not bad. You wont hate it. But you wont fall in love with it. I do appreciate the location. This place is perfect if its really close to you and the pho craving is creeping in. People who run the restaurant are very welcoming and accommodating. The restaurant is clean and inviting. I wish this location the best of luck. Will give them another shot at some point in the future.

Now that my favorite Pho place is no longer an option for me due to unsanitary conditions, I thought I would check out Pho Viet Saigon. I should have saved my money and time. While it was very clean and new, the Pho lacked taste, the basil was barely edible and the white meat chicken had more dark spots then I've ever seen. Oh, and the amount of MSG was unreal. Don't waste your time!

My first experience with pho was kind of lame. It was watery, stringy meat, and I had no idea what the hell I was supposed to do to improve my experience. Ok, so these guys just opened up near where I live. And a bowl of beefy tasty-ness sounded like a good idea last night. So off we went. Ok, Pho has been redeemed. It was really good. Granted, I am a total gringo, but I know my meat and especially my beef (yes, I cook them a lot!). This was very sastisfying to me. We were discussing how the bowl kind of evolves as you eat it...it starts out one way and, through the addition of bean sprouts, siracha, peppers, etc etc it changes as you eat it unti, through gastro-attrition, you wind up with a smaller and smaller bowl of deeper and deeper concentrated flavors. Sorry. That was a bit of a surreal trip into that food I had last night. Anyway, the prices are good, the service was insanely fast. I also REALLY liked the spring rolls. They came with a fantastic dipping sauce. I aim to use this place as an occasional post-gym stop for a big bowl of carb and protein. I really think it'll fit the bill for that nicely.

According to my dad (he always inspects the owners), the place is owned by Chinese people so therefore their perception isn't the same as Vietnamese (not trying to be mean!) So far, the noodle and rice dishes were disappointments. Hoping to try the pho soon!

I am Vietnamese so I am very critical of the of the Vietnamese food that I go to. The service is excellent and the Pho is ok but I notice that it has been improving. The bun thit nuong is excellent. Probably the best in Maryland. Right now I only give it 3 stars but it wouldn't surprise me if I give a higher rating later. They seem to be working hard on making things better.

Tried Pho Viet Saigon today and had a really enjoyable meal. The place is nicely decorated and felt really clean. The broth was flavorful and what a portion! It was like the never ending bowl of Pho. I ordered an extra side of the fatty brisket but they must of put extra in the bowl as well. I'm a big guy and can easily put away a large bowl but today, I was packed to the gills and could not finish all of it because of the humongous portion. I will be back soon since this is the closest place to me for a Pho fix.

So I've been to this place on and off since it opened in May of 2012. It's become our family's go to place for Pho and other noodles. Growing up in So Cal, you get spoiled with a lot of varieties of Vietnamese eateries, not so much here. I've tried all the Vietnamese places from Rockville to Germantown and a couple in Silver Spring. Some went out of business for good reason, some still stayed in business for some reason. When we first step foot in Pho Viet Saigon, it was clean and somewhat nicely decorated compared to other dirty pho places (i.e. Pho Chi & Pho 75). There's always a friendly face to greet you. They used to just serve Pho and now they serve Bun (vermicelli bowls). Our kids love the pho and I always order either Bun or pork chop/rice dishes. The shrimps are always grilled to perfection, never overcooked. The grilled pork is seasoned so well and it's perfectly grilled. Whoever is doing the grilling is doing a fine job. Against my better judgement, I ordered a Thai ice-tea with bubble. I forgot this is a Vietnamese restaurant not a Thai place nor Taiwanese to be serving bubble drinks. It was not good. Stick to the cafe sua da (ice-coffee) and you'll be ok. Looks like business has picked up for this place so service may be slow. But be patient, these are good people and I want this place to succeed. As long as the food is good, people with a sense for Vietnamese cuisine will be back.

Average pho. A little oily, meat wasn't very thinly sliced, but decent. Nice service - slightly clueless and slow, despite not being busy on a Sunday around noon.

I'm a foodie and I love Vietnamese food...its light and healthier than other Asian dishes. I really hope that this restaurant does well here since it seems that this particular location is jinx...Negril was here and Antonios, both closed within 3 yrs. Okay, here's my review on the pho...the soup itself needs more flavor, I think...they seem to be skimping on the noodles, the soup came with a yellow broth color, most pho I've had had a light brown color...and the soup itself seems to lacking flavor...my kids are very critical with pho, they liked it and thought that its not as salty as the others in the area...I do believe that it will get better! The grilled dishes is Absolutely Fabulous...its good, in fact its right up there with the authentic restaurants in Eden, VA...the aroma is good, the taste is not too sweet or bland...its got the right balance of flavor...I do believe this restaurant will be known for their grilled dishes and not their pho. I'll stop again in a month to see if the pho has change... Good luck folks, its not easy opening a new restaurant and having 3 great pho places in the area!!

I don't really have any complaints about this place. Which makes it a-ok and probably the best pho that I've had in the Rockville, Gaithersburg and Germantown area. We ended up coming here on a spur of a moment decision. Where it was a rainy day and we were trying to decide if we should go down to Silver Spring for lunch. When leaving Great Beginnings saw the grand opening sign for here and decided to try it out. I was real skeptical walking up to the place and even more so after going in. We've been disappointed by many Vietnamese and pho places in the area before. I was even more skeptical after going in and there didn't seem to be any Vietnamese person in sight. The main person taking our order didn't even look Asian(which there's nothing wrong with but made me wonder about the food). So I was pleasantly surprised upon receiving our orders of pho. The soup was nice and dark as expected (because I ordered the number 1). The meat in the soup was rare when it first came out. We usually have to request for the meat to be rare or raw when we order at other places, but didn't do it this time. So it was a pleasant surprise to see that they did that automatically. The noodles were the perfect texture and consistency. The plate of garnishes were very fresh as well. The person that I was with mentioned that their broth was very sweet before I tried mine. That initially threw me off and had me worried because I don't associate pho with being sweet. But my broth tasted fine, and we figure it's because I had more cuts of meat than hers. (she ordered a number 15). No real complaints about the broth but it could have been a bit more flavorful. Also the number 1, also had everything that you'd expect to be in there. Overall, no complaints about the pho here. Not like other ones around this area which have bland broth, mushy noodles, small pretentious bowls, too much MSG, don't put everything they're supposed to into the #1, etc. So to me, this is one of the better pho places in the area and plan on coming back whenever we are in the mood for pho and want to stay local. Hope this places stays consistent with it's pho and does well! We also noted that the hours are kind of interesting 10-8 on most days.

I've ordered so many times in this place, but I finally decided to give some reviews. Pho is as good as the other Phos in the MoCo area. I love the fried egg rolls and grilled food, it is consistently fresh and delicious each time I order them. I recently discovered a new favorite- Beef Stew with egg noodles, you can request to add wontons for an additional price, price is still good even with the addition-I've been looking for a rich and hearty beef stew soup in Chinese restaurants, and so far this is the only one that hit the spot! I'd say that so far, that's the most outstanding food in their menu...apart from the grilled food, which are really good as well!

As a food lover I must say this is one of the best Pho places I have been at with my family. Few days after a Grand Opening I came to check out the place with my mom and my grandparents. We have ordered an everything Pho, spring rolls, veggie rolls and a vegetarian entrée for myself. My grandparents are very hard to please because they compare everything to my country, starting with freshness of the food, the quality, the flavor etc... But when I took them to Pho Viet Saigon, they ate silently. After they ate, they thanked me and said this soup reminded them back home. The meat was absolutely fresh (they even mentioned if the chef created something special for us because we look Asian:) ), spring rolls were light and fresh. My veggie entrée had crispy veggie nuggets, lots of veggies and lots of noodles. After our dinner, I have taken the Pho to go for my other grandparents and my dad, they ate it within minutes so since then I have been there several times and I cannot get enough of the veggie entrée myself along with the sweet drink that for the life of me I cannot remember the name of. It is a coconut milk with red beans I believe and noodles. Food aside, the décor of the restaurant is beautiful and cozy, most Phos I have been in are run down and small. Pho Viet Saigon is spacious, clean and very comfy. The service was really good when I was there (by the way so not expected since every Pho I have been to had a terrible service), we were greeted by a friendly lady with a great big smile, she sat us down and a waiter came right away to take our order. Overall, great experience and I will definitely come back again soon! (already craving my veggie entrée mmmm)

I wasn't really in the mood for pho on this day so I ordered the Royal Special vermicelli bowl (B1) because our waiter recommended it. I'm so glad I did! I've had vermicelli bowls at other Vietnamese restaurants, but this one was definitely the best I've had. It comes with shrimp, an eggroll, beef, noodles, tons of fresh lettuce, cilantro and carrots, and topped off with some crushed peanuts. It also comes with a light sauce that you pour on top. It was a large portion too and it ended up becoming two meals for me. If you're looking for a light and fresh meal this will satisfy your cravings. Service was good as well, but that might have been because we were the only customers there (in their defense we came at an awkward time -- too late for lunch, but too early for dinner). Also, they don't accept Discover so bring other cards or cash. Prices were also very reasonable. My friend and I paid about $18 for both of our meals. I'll definitely come back and try their pho!

Service is good, Food is ok, Portion is too small. A BIG PLUS - They have noodle soup for vegetarians! that's why I give 3 stars. This place was great (Taste, portion, price, service) when it first opened. However, over the time, the portion gets smaller and smaller, the prices get higher (I guess to compensate the coupon in clipper magazine). Recently I ordered bun bo hue, there was only one piece of 2" diameter x 1/2" bun bo in my noodle soup. The chef put some beef in it. But the reason I ordered bun bo hue was to eat bun bo. If I want to eat beef, I'd order pho. It is the only Vietnamese restaurant I know would put the shrimp paste in bun bo hue before serving. Most places let the customer to put the amount of shrimp paste suit them best by themselves. It is strange. It's like ordering freshly brew coffee from coffee shop, but the coffee came out with cream and sugar added. I may go back only if I need to pick up cakes/dessert from Classic Bakery next door, and in a rush.

This place was pretty good. Service was friendly and it seemed clean. No beer or wine, which was a bummer on a hot day. Particularly since they're next door to a wine store and you can't even byob. The summer rolls were okay. No cilantro in them, which I appreciated. They garnish with it, but not inside the doll. The fried egg rolls were really quite good. The vermicelli with lemongrass beef was the best part of the meal. Really tasty and fresh. If you're visiting the baby store in the same shopping mall, it's a good place to get a bite.

This restaurant is the closet pho house near my house. I eat here ALL THE TIME! The pho dac biet is very good, although often times they're pretty stingy on the tendon (which is my favorite). There were a few times I didn't get any tendon at all... I'm assuming the young gentleman who's always there is the owner (or the owner's son). He's very polite but pretty slow when it comes to taking orders and serving. Make sure to check for coupons in the local Clipper magazine before your go. They sometimes have 15%/25% off promotions.

Current pho binge status. I came here with my family when it was still colder. It was a good option for a quick bite before we went out separate ways. My entire family LOVES pho. I have to say the Pho in MD always falls flat for me. The flavors just aren't there and I always leave with a slight twang of disappointment. We came closer to closing, but there were a good amount of people eating probably around 4-5 tables. The pho overall was just okay. The soup was just a little bland for me. LOTS and LOTS of noodles. My sister said she liked it. So, I can maybe give this place another whirl. They have non-pho options on the menu as well. Good to have some variety :)

Pleasantly surprised with this place. Only eaten here a handful of times but the service is very good and the food is consistent which I find important. The pho broth is very flavorful with a good balance of beefiness to aromatics ratio unlike other places that use an overpowering amount of aromatics to hide the lack of beef flavor. Overall great food! Will be back.
