Mexican Cuisine
If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.
Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.
Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.

I love chipotle, like I'm bonafide addicted it to it however this location, which is the closet to my house irks me badly. I use the app because why wouldn't I but here, uh huh, no way, I wait an hour to pick it up and then I get there and it's not ready, sometimes it would've been faster to just wait in line. It drives me crazy. The food is always good because DUH it's chipotle but if you can go to another location, do yourself a favor and go there. KENTLANDS CHIPOTLE, GET YOUR ISH TOGETHER!

Every now and then I get a hankerin' for a soft tortilla wrapped around some chicken, beans, rice, cheese, salsa and lettuce. For some reason, I often think that Chipotle is the place to go for this. Sometimes it is. I had some business up in the neck of the woods and I needed to get a bite to eat first so I thought, "Hey, there's a Chipotle!" Of course, I was mildly disappointed. I haven't been in a Chipotle anywhere that didn't have a long line at virtually any time of the day and this place was no different. Long line, very noisy (they're all designed to be as noisy as possible). I looked at the menu and decided on a chicken burrito. Mistake. Now, I understand why most people order the burrito bowl. It seems the staff are so used to filling a bowl with all the fillings that when someone orders a burrito they have the same automated movements down committed to memory. Huge portions of whatever so that by the time it gets to the person actually wrapping the tortilla it can barely be done. This was the case on my visit here. HUGE burrito that I eventually had to eat with a fork like a burrito bowl because it came apart so quickly when I tried to lift it to my mouth. The food was decent. Let's be honest. It's fast food that's one step up from Taco Bell. But the fact that the burrito fell apart and couldn't be eaten as a burrito really kinda pissed me off. The noise is a big distraction, too, which is why I think most people get their food on the run. There were only a handful of people eating inside the restaurant. Bottom line is that it's OK. But just OK.

In the interest of full disclosure, I'm a Chipotle-addict. On my birthday, when given a choice between going out to some fantastic and fabulous restaurant for a magnificent birthday dinner of amazing...or Chipotle, I go with Chipotle...and get TWO burritos because I'm a fatty and that's how I roll. However, I do have to say, there is a certain *awesome* to this Chipotle, because of two factors: 1) My Chipotle-hating husband loooooooooves ice cream. And this Chipotle is RIGHT NEXT TO A COLD STONE. So he comes for ice cream...and I walk out with a burrito. 2) The staff here has INFINITE patience. The person before me in line was super picky about how much of each item she got in her bol, and was fussing about wanting a dab more, a touch less, blah blah blah. Basically, just holding me up from MY burrito (I hate her, and was on the verge of beating her to death with my purse)...but the staff was just kind and nice as can be. No eye rolling. No impatience. No sighing. Just helping her along as best as they could. Awww. YAY Chipotle. You make me excited for my birthday!

Don't get me wrong. I love chipotle... But not this one! Every single time I go here is a nightmare which kind of stinks because it is the closest one to me. You wait here a very long time. If the line is 5 people, you wait at least 10 minutes. If the line is curving around the bend, go somewhere else trust me. Usually chipotle is great at moving the line and has very efficient service. Not this one. There are so many workers just standing around doing nothing. The tables are never cleaned. My order is never correct... Which is so hard to mess up because I point at things. They cannot wrap burritos properly. Once you get to the front of the line, it takes a long time to move through because of lack of service. Too many people just standing around. I got to the front once and they had run out of rice... Seriously? Had to wait 5-6 min just standing there. To-go orders are processed as a priority so you keep waiting. Now I will not go here so I have to drive. The one in Gaithersburg is good and all the other ones are good except falls grove which is kind of stingy on the meat. So poorly run. They need some new management or should be shut down.

I've never seen so many people accomplish so little. Chipotle's are supposed to function like an assembly line, this one functions like one on benadryl. So many times during the lunch rush, the line will snake around the restaurant and out the door. And it doesn't help that construction workers enjoy coming here and ordering 86 burritos for the whole site. Some of your orders will just get flat out ignored. I enjoy playing the missing tortilla game at this location. I always order the bowl with the tortilla on the side and then take bets on where in the line the tortilla will get left behind, at which point I will have to frantically point it out the the glassy-eyed workers. Having said all that, I still come here like twice a week because I'm a disgusting pig who is afraid of change :(

This use to be my favorite chipotle, until the new staff came in. One staff in particular annoys me the most. That little blonde cashier who is constantly complaining about everything has got to go. This girl will finish a conversation and a half before she thinks of greeting you to let you pay. Her attitude is also one of the worst I've encountered anywhere. At an already slow chipotle, this girl makes it worse on all of you. If the manager is reading this, either discipline her or fire her. I, for one, will not be coming back to this one.
(2)Jennifer L.
I have no love for Chipotle, but it's not the worst option out there. The food here at this location is bland and my bowl was full of water from the veggies and the three salsas (mild, medium, and hot). I'll add a star for the great service.

This is absolutely the worst Chipotle I have been to. They tried to rush you by asking you about the next topping when they are still scooping the ingredient at hand. When you ask for more, they look offended and grumpy. What's more, they are extremely stingy with the non meat ingredients which you have a right to ask for as much as you want. When you ask for more non meat toppings, you have to ask 3 or 4 times because they are so stingy with the portion. When Chipotle had the buy one get one free promo, I paid first instead of having them first scan the offer on my phone. I also gave them a coupon to redeem free chips and salsa. The cashier refused to redo the transaction and did not give my free chips and salsa. I remembered the chips and salsa after I went back to my office and immediately rushed back. There the cashier didn't seem to remember I gave her a coupon. I pointed out they could check the camera if she didn't believe me and the manager came over before they grudgingly gave it to me. The cashier also never mentioned that buy one get one free deal had to be redeemed on the same day. So the 2 days later when I came in and tried to use the offer, they finally told me I had to have a 2nd order too to redeem it, they made no effort to rectify the situation. Another 2 days pass by and I go in and this time have ordered another entree. When I got presented my offer again, the cashier immediately again says you need a 2nd order for it to work, before finally realizing my 2nd order was there, that shows how much they really didn't want to honor their own promotion. Finally when my office had ordered catering from this Chipotle, they skimped on a lot of utensils and food. Chipotle corporate needs to come fix this franchise because it is horrible.

You can't go wrong with Chipotle. I prefer this location to the location in Germantown, because parking is much easier and the line tens to be shorter. They never charge you more if you want any extra besides meat.
(5)Niran G.
Rice here is barely cooked and many times you can feel the grain. Unfortunately this has not improved despite complaining. Don't think I am alone here.
(2)Dee B.
My bowl was *incredibly* salty - something was clearly completely oversalted - and the water tastes disgusting. Not returning here - will find another place to eat when in the Kentlands!
(2)Oliver C.
I ordered sofritas (tofu) on January 26th because my receipt entitles me to another entree of my choice anytime between now and the end of February. I would love to eat at Chipotle every day, but sadly, there is not one close to my workplace. Today was a snow day and I had the luxury of teleworking. Someone in my neighborhood recommended the Kentlands location over the newer location at Rio Washingtonian because she said they were more generous with the meat toppings. She was right! I mean, I really HATE having to beg the server at Chipotle or any other fast-casual restaurants to add a generous helping of chicken, steak, or sofritas without being charged extra. This location in the Kentlands is very well maintained. The line, just like every other Chipotle I've been to, doesn't move lightning fast, but the workers are calm, professional, and very attentive. I will definitely come here again.
(4)Adam D.
Still just as slow as always I don't get how this is possible it's the same number of employees as everywhere else, and there has been turnover too. The problem must be with management.
(1)Nicole R.
I agree - service is a bit slow here and this location is always pretty busy. I've been using the iPhone app to order ahead of time which seems to work best. I've ordered from here 6+ times so far and they've always got my order right and I haven't had a bad experience yet. I'll keep coming back. Chipotle is such a guilty pleasure. Chipotle, you are one of the reasons I can't seem to become a full fledged vegetarian!

I love Chipotle, but management, would you mind doing your customers a favor? If a customer orders carry out and the pick up time is say, 6:00PM, and your customer arrives at (anytime After) 6:00PM and you don't have the order ready (Every.Single.Time - Only making it once the customer has arrived), but meanwhile berate them for arriving 15 minutes early, what is the point of your online ordering system? Please get this fixed. Thank you.

Great food, I love Chipotle!
(4)Gerry B.
Can never go wrong here, I get a bowl with two kinds of meat, no rice, no beans, but extra veggies, hot salsa, and guac. Wish they had all natural sodas, instead of the HFCS laden Coke products. Good deal on the kids meal. And good call on getting rid of the suppliers whose pork wasn't meeting standards, integrity is everything.
(4)Eve J.
I went to this chipotle the other day and I am very disappointed with them. I don't know what it is but the food just doesn't have the same taste. Someone in the back is not seasoning the rice, meat, or corn properly and it saddens me. I thought I was taking home a great meal and all I could taste was bitterness. However, customer service is great and they are quick getting things prepared.
(2)Chris B.
We all know Chipotle by now so I am not going to explain anything. If you live work in the Gaithersburg/North Rockville area, this Chipotle is significantly better than the Falls Grove location. You actually get full, well wrapped, no skimping on toppings burritos. Side note on all Chipotle's - I am really frustrated that steak has gotten to the point it is so chewy I cant eat it, bacon was taken out of the pinto beans, tofu was added to the menu, and the chips are almost never limey and salty anymore. All this and queso has never been added to the menu?!
(4)Kai E.
Poor customer service. After rushing me through and not giving individual attention for my order, they gave me a smaller drink than I ordered and when I brought it up to them I got attitude from the cashier.
(2)DJ H.
Service was a bit slow but the line had a steady methodical pace. Can't really day to much about chipotle. Greens looked fresh and the fajita veggies were nicely cooked. Plenty of chicken for my bowl and just the right amount of Pico de Gallo to top it off. 2 bucks is a bit steep for guacamole but how could I resist. Good spot for lunch or dinner.
(4)John F.
Maybe they read my last review, or maybe it was a good night, but they seem to have gotten their act together recently. The last 2 times I ordered ahead, it was ready when I arrived. Some of the employees seem to be new, and some of the not-so-good employees seem to be gone now.

This was strangely my first experience at (any) Chipotle. I know, shake your heads, it's like I was raised in a cave :P However, I've lived around no easily reached Chipotle in the last 10 years. My closest one is in a very difficult to navigate shopping center I NEVER visit--and when I lived out West in WA state for 3 years, there were none in my little tiny town (they remedied that shortly after I left to come back here). This one was suggested by the boyfriend's little sister to celebrate Cinco De Mayo since it's one of her favorite places to eat. So me, the boyfriend, his little sister and their mom ventured to the Kentlands, about a ten minute drive from their house and braved it. Despite reading about how long service tends to take at this particular Chipotle, we were in line less than 5 minutes. It was busy, but moving quickly. J's mom ordered a chicken burrito bowl to go for their dad, sister E ordered a chicken burrito bowl to share there with mom, J ordered a steak burrito and I ordered a barbacoa burrito. Both J & I got pinto beans, brown rice, pico, the medium red salsa and a bit of cheese. Mine was very good, I ate almost the whole thing, I found I preferred mine with a dash of Jalapeno Tabasco on each bite. J loved his, but of course unlike me he's been hitting up Chipotle's for years so already knew what he loved. It wasn't as clean as it could have been, but it was a very minor complaint. Further visits will be needed before I can raise it above 3 stars, but finally I get why people like Chipotle--it's good stuff and didn't give me the *gut bomb* feel some fast food places can.

Had to be the slowest service of any Chipotle I have ever been. Tables not cleaned and garbage cans overflowing.
(2)Joanna C.
I LOVE Chipotle!!! It's just so delicious, always, really hard to mess up. Like the other restaurants in Fallsgrove, it's super crowded so be prepared to wait in line for a really long time and then struggle to find a place to sit. But once you do, just savor each bite. I think this location really packs everything in more so than the other locations so it's hard for me to get even close to finishing my food (even the burrito bowls and salads), so I usually get two meals for the price of one, win!
(4)Cara L.
Chipotle has always been one of my favorite places to eat, but unfortunately it is not safe for me to eat there anymore. I am a vegetarian, and as of yesterday I have gotten meat in my food the past six times I have been there. Each time I order I specify that I would like a vegetarian (bowl, burrito, etc.) and I always choose sofritas. I watch them make my food as well, but I never actually see any meat fall into my food, which means that there is some serious cross-contamination problems happening here. After the third time, I went in and spoke to the manager. She was very nice and apologetic, and gave me a free meal, which also turned out to have meat in it. The next day, I spoke to another manager who barely even listened to what I had to tell her, and gave me another free meal, which STILL had meat in it. So I decided to go to a different Chipotle (the one at Falls Grove), and they gave me meat as well. Unfortunately, it looks like I'll have to cross Chipotle off of my list of favorite restaurants. This has never happened to me before this summer, so Chipotle needs to step up and fix it. Vegetarians, beware!

i am amazed by them labeling the genetically modified foods, and the organic ones.. i love having the choice and being able to know what is in my food, and what i am giving my little one. I recomened visiting their website and support them with this bold move, that most of the restaurants don't dare do. Thank you Chipotle

Waited in a line of 8 people 26 min before we got to the ordering mode. There were 5 meals waiting out cold during the 6 min waiting saga on the food line. I asked person using a dirty rag pushing meat and lettuce around the containers if she was the manager. She said yes what can I help you with. I mentioned to her that my burrito had now been out cold with meat etc for 6 min and she said no its not cold . So she made me a new one. Thanks . This place needs more help. While in line 2 people in front of me left upset and I counted 9 people left after me again due to the wait. If this franchise is owned by McDonalds , they certainly need to help this store in the efficiency business. There was 0 ice in the machine. All the employees tried their hardest but they needed one more in the line. Thanks for trying. Not cold ehhhh ? My fiancés food was cold and she was right behind me and hers didn't get re made. Look at the photo and the time it took to make the burritos . That was after ours were made!

Chipotle is one of my families favorite restaurants and we order from here once a week. Because we have multiple orders we usually place orders online and pick it up at a designated time. Most of the time they don't make the order until we arrive at the time we say we will pick it up. The whole point is to have the order ready for the time that was scheduled. I don't know about other locations in the area but this one is not properly set up for handling online orders. This needs to be addressed...
(4)Seth J.
While I love Chipotle in general this particular location has frequent long lines. The whole operation is disorganized. Nobody keeps check on when the ingredients are about to run out. Then they spend time retrieving them from the back freezer while lines grow longer.
(3)Sue G.
This is my least favorite Chipotle in the area. I love Chipotle. I eat at a Chipotle 3-5 times a week for lunch. The staff here at Kenlands is very stingy with the helpings. I asked for and payed for double meat, but the serving size was much smaller than what i get at the other Chipotles. Same stinginess with the corn, salsa, etc. I will not be coming back to the kentlands location, nor will i be bringing my soccer team there for after game lunch. There are much better Chipotles in the area.
(1)Ross M.
Mind you, I love Chipotle. The price is right and the food is delicious. This Chipotle almost always has a line of 20 or people, however like most Chipotles I've been to, the line moves quickly. They are good about giving more or less of what you want. Just be in for a warm drink, as the ice machine has gone out during more than a couple of my visits.
(3)Eddie D.
Wait a minute. We only have one Yelp review on this place? It can't be, because this place is crazy, every time we go there, it had at least 20 customers in line, this evening, 50 customers in line, we even tried to avoid the crowd by going to the near by store first. Came back hour and a half later, is like the line never moved. It took us 20 minutes to go through the line. 50 customers every 20 minutes, you do the math. There's not much I need to say about their food. Just look at the line. Oh yeah, don't come here if you're in a hurry.
(4)Chris H.
One of the cleaner, larger, and nicer Chipotle. I feel like you enter here with a certain expectation -- long line and super busy employees. Usually, that's what you get. They do what they can and I appreciate it.
