Maybe I had an off day, maybe they had an off day. Maybe everyday is an off day (there). In the four or five times I have eaten there this past year, I found the food rather bland and generic. This past visit I had the chicken fingers for lunch as I was in a rush and wanted something rather light than a full meal. The chicken was hot on the outside and cold in the middle. I had them returned. New chicken fingers came out and they were hot, but I could not discern anything different from these than one I could eat at an IHOP or Denny's. Ok, that's just one example. The prior visit a week ago, I had a burger and asked for it well done only to receive it medium rare. Again it had to go back. The fries were fine, but again nothing to write home about. The waitress both times was nice enough and understanding, but overall, I just find the chain restaurants to literally taste the same, food presentation seems like it came out of a second year culinary art's school financed by the local iron worker's union. I've about given up on Ruby Tuesday's after many years of visiting both the golden mile location and the south side location. to just too much like eating Applebee's or a TGIFriday's. I won't even get in to the steak debacle last November.

Probably one of the better chain restaurants. A little more pricey than Applebees but less salty and the food is healthier. I like that you can pick two sides rather than getting the usual french fries. The green beans are tasty. I also like their attention to detail. I ordered Chicken Tenders and the ranch dressing was light and tasty. The tenders themselves were well seasoned. Their staff is well-trained. You usually don't notice the staff, but here, you always think to yourself, they're pretty friendly and attentive.

"Yesterday don't matter if it's gone." Like some other Yelpers, we used to enjoy Ruby's, this location and numerous others we've visited (some handy off highway exits).. Loved the salad bar. Nifty appetizers. Really good burgers. Even pastas and steaks. It was better than the ubiquitous Applebee's, and a pretty predictable good-to-very-good. But like Mick Jagger sang, yesterday don't matter. I visited this location again a few days ago, with my bride, and our son's family. Woo, no. Service was casual and cheerful, but not competent or, well, good. When you're saying hello and I ask how you're doing, complaining that you're at work is a bad start. The food was the worst I've had at Ruby's. Starving, we got the Big Dipper sampler (Southern style chicken tenders, cheese fries, Thai spring rolls, and fried mozzarella). After a bit, our distracted server brought a sad plate of skimpy, overcooked, and unappetizing stuff. Not close to what we're used to here. A couple of us hit the salad bar, which was okay. I got the Triple Prime bacon cheddar burger, which I've always liked. This time, just okay. Not hot, not cooked as ordered, not impressive. We satisfied our hunger as best we could, and set about trying to get our server's attention, which was a challenge. The men's room was dirty and had a wet floor (same condition as the last 4 Ruby's I've been in, for some reason). Dining room was half full, even at 6:00-7:00 on a Saturday. It feels like the thrill has worn out for the employees and management of this chain. Well, let me join you there. Mick again: "Still I'm gonna miss you."

Just finished up a meal here and had wonderful service and food! When I first read other reviews I was skeptical to try (rated as 2.5 stars) but I take all yelp ratings with a grain of salt, and I'm glad I do because Ruby Tuesdays had a wonderful atmosphere, and our waitress Laurie was very attentive and kind. 5 stars!

If you are looking for good food and good service, this is not the place to go! Slow, terrible service and sloppy food is all you will get. Ordered an app of chips and queso when we placed our food order. Did not get the app until minutes before the food came out, which was incorrect from what we ordered but that is another issue in itself. After showing the waitress our food was completely wrong, she seemed to not care and take her time (another 3-4 minutes to even come over and take it away). At which point, we said we would take the check. She proceeded to the back door to the kitchen (which our booth was right next to) and screamed at whoever cooked the burgers which were wrong saying "I told you this...and you knew that" making a scene that I am sure she wanted us to hear to ensure we knew it wasn't her fault the order was wrong- but the cooks. Just unprofessional and definitely not a team player. That night, a few hours later- I was so sick and was vomiting for hours and guess what I had that day... some plain cereal and queso from Ruby Tuesday's. The appearance was bad but I still tried it out and was so hungry, kept eating it. It wasn't the worst tasting to be honest but clearly had some bacteria in it.

I have been to many Ruby Tuesdays across the country but this has been the worst experience I have ever had. Service is slow and not very friendly. Bartender is standoffish and seems to be in a bad mood. As far as the food.......never again. They messed up my order twice. First I ordered the shrimp and grits came out cold. The entire dish. Not just one part. Second order was the pork chops. Raw! Take your chances with this place.

Don't bother. After placing our order and getting salad from the bar our food was delivered. The hubby ordered a cheese burger medium. I ordered pens shrimp pasta and our friend ordered shrimp and grits.. His was the only meal that wasn't messed up. My pastsa looked like it only had 1 oz of garlic creme sauce on it. The hubbies burger was burnt to a hockey puck and didn't have cheese on it.. After asking for more sauce and a redo on the burger I was brought a small ramekin of sauce.. Wtf.. Had to ask for another.. This made the pasta eatable finally.. The hubbies redone burger finally came out with cheese but was still over done.. Ate it anyway cuz he was hungry.. Honestly the cook needs retraining. If you are thinking about eating here change your mind and go eat at longhorn.

My husband, my dad and I just ate here. The service was horrible. We all ordered the same thing. We got the mini burgers and salad bar. The salad bar was a mess. The lettuce was rotten. We waited an hour for our mini burgers. When they did come out they were burnt. They were as hard as hockey pucs!!! I went into the bathroom and there was toilet paper all over the floor, and paper towels thrown all over the floor. I told the hostess to let management know. Out waitress acted like it was a chore to refill our drinks. We won't be back!!! Over priced for crap food!!

I can honestly say that I will never be dining here again. I have dined here twice over this summer, and have decided that 2 chances was too many. My first experience was this past June, I came here with my best friend to get drinks with her to celebrate her 21st birthday. I had a peach sangria-type drink that was so-so, and ordered a simple soup and salad combo as a meal. My friend had ordered a steak that was also just so-so. And of course, having mediocre food and drinks is no reason to feel so disappointed in my experience here-I typically don't expect too much from the food and drinks at chain restaurants anyway. I was actually more surprised with how lousy the service was. The server was very forgetful and acted totally like a zombie. If I were the one who was running that restaurant I would have sent that server home for the night, because she clearly was not prepared to be working. I was almost concerned that she would just pass out right in the middle of the restaurant. I guess everyone has bad days though, which is what lead me to give this place a second chance. My second time here was beyond awful. I came here with my boyfriend at a very slow time and waited, for what I felt like was too much time to be seated. Another employee told us that the host would be right back, but what was that other employee doing? Nothing, so why couldn't she seat us simply to make a couple of guests happier? Shortly thereafter it had seemed that the service was going to be a million times better this time around. The server was a very friendly and polite girl. When an issue arose at my table, she did not hesitate to ask the manager for further assistance to ensure that she was doing everything that she needed to do as a waitress to resolve our issue. The manager, however, was a different story. She clearly chose the wrong career because she showed a complete lack of regard for customer service and respect towards those who chose to dine in her restaurant. She infuriated me to the point where I could not even order a meal, and instead had to leave and find a different restaurant to go to. She refused to consider if her idea about my issue could possibly be wrong, she did not even attempt to double check. To be honest the issue itself was small and silly, involving whether I could order alcoholic drinks with a vertical id card, which is out of state and has no alcohol restriction on it. I am not entirely familiarized with what the law is exactly, sometimes I am asked for a second form of identification, sometimes I am fine with my regular id card and nothing else-regardless.. My boyfriend and I were debating beforehand on whether or not to drink so early anyway, so it was not that she was refusing to sell me a cocktail making me so angry, but the way she was talking to me about it. Also I guess this is a rule that they only follow when they feel like it because I have definitely been served alcoholic drinks here before. She was so incredibly rude and by the end of the conversation I felt disrespected and incredibly angry. I could therefore no longer stand to be in her restaurant. I do not understand how someone managing a restaurant could be so inconsiderate. To be honest she was just an all around b*tch towards me, as if I was inconveniencing her to do her job and come to my table to explain the rules. Furthermore, at one point in our interaction I literally felt as though she had mocked something that I had said, and my boyfriend confirmed that she was doing so and he had felt, from a perspective outside of the conversation, that she was talking down to me. What kind of person does that, not even to their customers but to other people, it is completely and entirely rude. I cannot tolerate rudeness and inattentiveness, I guess its what sets me off if anything does. I cannot believe that someone who is running a restaurant is such a perfect example of rudeness, and therefore will never be back, and will be sure to tell all of my friends to refrain from coming to this ruby tuesdays as well.

I actually used to love this place.. Mainly for the salad bar . Hubby never really liked it though.. Only came cause I wanted to. Now before I begin I really need to say that we are not picky people .. We rarely EVER complain or make any big deals at a restaurant.. We both been in the business so we typically understand that things happen but it's all a matter of how the server/manager deals with the situation that will either make it or break it. This particular visit really took us over the edge though. We went in with our little nuggets .. Our waitress was slow and I mean I know she was busy because she had a table of like 8-10 people near us but that's really not much of an excuse for what happened .. Took forever to take our order and anyone that has kids should understand THEY ARE HUNGRY so they started to get annoyed which sucks cause my babies rarely get antsy when we're out eating .. Finally she took our order.. I was looking forward to my food cause I ordered the mini turkey sliders and I've had them before and they were SO good . After not too long.. Our food comes out .. Kids food first .. Great. Hubby's food and my food come out .. Okay .. Hubby needed a refill so she ran off .. Just as I was about to eat .. I noticed hair in my food. Which I really didn't over-react.. It happens .. I get it. No big deal so I just waited for her to come over to tell her... When she got back .. I showed her and she says "oh sh*t" then starts laughing .. WTF ? First my children are sitting there.. Second wtf is funny about a customer finding hair in their food ?? After she stops laughing she walks away .. Uhm doesn't apologize doesn't ask me if I want anything else doesn't say she'll get the manager NOTHING. Btw-she never came back with hubby's refill. So then she walks back and says my manager will come over and my husband politely asked for his refill and she goes "oh fu*k" ... I was so irritated at that point that I lost it. I needed to get out of there asap.. It is completely unacceptable to drop curse words at a customers table even if you know the people! I mean we sure did not know this girl. Not to mention my children all at the table. So then manager comes over and asked me if I wanted anything else I said no just the check.. The manager was very polite and said that they would take my meal off(which is not what I was looking for) So the server comes back over with the check and says "sorry, it happens" and laughs .. It happens ?!? So that happens a lot ? And you find it funny ?! You should probably spend some more time reviewing your staff and what they do.. Seems like they aren't capable of giving good service. But whatever.. we will NEVER go back.
