I had the pho ga (chicken) and it was delicious. I was pretty impressed. Think definitely tastier than other's I've had in Frederick. Combination fried rice was pretty good as well.

After reading a few reviews, and really wanting a great pho, my wife and I visited here on Mother's Day. Overall, we had a great meal with great service. The restaurant was clean and we were checked up on regularly. The food came out quicker then expected. The portions were huge and are a great value for the price. While the menu is limited, they are clearly making an effort to expand; especially the vegetarian options. I ordered the Vegetarian Pho & the wife got the Chicken Pho. As a vegetarian, I often find it difficult to get a filling meal that doesn't consist of appetizers and junky food. This place totally hit the spot. The first thing that strikes you about the food is the aroma and mix of flavors in the broth. Normally I feel like veggie-anything-with-soup-broth is something I could make at home. The Pho had a nice complex flavor and I could clearly taste the love that went into it. The wife said her chicken Pho also had a mix of awesome and yum. This is the kind of food you want to snuggle up to on a sick or rainy day. We'll certainly be back in the future.

The service here is impeccable! The atmosphere is modern yet comfy. The food is delicious, fresh, well and portioned. Unlike any of pho restaurant I've ever been to their pho had brisket, which was an excellent touch. Phenomenal overall experience!

This place is what i have come to expect with most Pho noodle spots in the Mid Atlantic States, something that is very close to Vietnamese Pho in preparation and style but lacking in flavor authenticity. Having been out in Cali to dine at various Vietnamese restaurants i have been spoiled and come to expect variety of offerings. Rare beef for a noodle bowl is pretty standard and to be expected. In TNT's defense the waitress did inform me that it could be ordered that way. Other than that not having some standard condiments readily available at the table i thought the Pho was tasty hot and of course filling. Waitstaff was friendly and attentive which can be a deal breaker for me if lacking.

Really good pho, very clean and fast service. Will be back again, and recommend it to anyone, they have a lunch special for 8.95, a med pho , a roll and a drink.

Great new pho place in Frederick. Clean, fast service, friendly waitstaff. Delicious pho soup. Amazing Vietnamese iced coffee too. We'll be back!

After reading the positive reviews I was anxious to try this place. I was disappointed. My friend ordered pho - and it was good. I ordered a curry dish - not so good. The staff was friendly and the restaurant is clean. I doubt we will return.

I have eaten here several times and keep coming back. The eye round is amazing as is the vermicelli combo. My husband had the pad Tia tonight and loved it. You really can't go wrong with anything on the menu. The service is above and beyond. The restaurant itself is spotless. They also do great carry out. This restaurant is just what Frederick needed. Can't wait to go back.

Good friends that recently opened up this place. Food was awesome. Please try the wings the sauce is unique and good! Small menu but they plan on expanding it. They also do takeout. Please check them out!

My boyfriend and I have been looking for new Vietnamese restaurants to try out in the Frederick area. We've been to Lucky Corner, Viet Gourmet, and Viet Aroma and Pho TNT definitely tops out list as one of our favorites. Their summer rolls are one of our favorite appetizers paired with their magnificent peanut dipping sauce. My boyfriend absolutely loves their chicken wings; he'd just have their wings and a side of white rice and he's content! If you're looking for a nice and portable lunch option, order their Banh Mi sandwich (I'd recommend their pork version). Their pork vermicelli bowl and combination pad Thai is fantastic too. Enough about their food. The service is always exceptional when we visit and they're always accommodating and attentive. Staff is always friendly and their restaurant is always clean. My boyfriend and I would highly recommend giving them a try if you enjoy Vietnamese cuisine.

I very much enjoyed my meal. I had the beef stir fry and my friend had beef fried rice. We also had summer roles as an appetizer. I can't speak to the price, but the quality was fine. I'd definitely recommend checking it out if the cuisine sounds up your alley.

First, I ordered the extra small Pho bowl with the well done beef for appetizer. The appetizer came out with the main dish and not before hand. Next, I order the Singapore Rice Noodles with chicken. Their version of this dish was not what I was accustom to, for example, the noodle did not taste or look like rice noodles, they appeared to be spaghetti noodles. Customers should be very concerned, especially if they have gluten issues/allergies. Furthermore, the seasoning was not well balanced with curry and the other traditional spices in the dish, like garlic or chili, etc. Needless to say, I asked for another dish. I ask if this dish could be traded for tamarinda (sp) chicken, which never made it to my table because the chief mixed up the order and send tempura shrimp to me instead. By this time I was ready to go, so as not to wait any longer I said I would just take the dish...It was bad because this was not tempura shrimp with the traditional panko flour, again it tasted like wheat flour with a batter. If you have to follow a gluten free diet this is not the place for you! If you want Vietnamese Food that is flavorful please go else where! I was very disappointed!

I got the chicken Banh Mi Sandwich. It was good, filling, and very reasonably priced at under $6. The veggies and ingredients all tasted fresh and the chicken was good and tender. They have a variety of food to choose from and all at reasonable prices. It is pretty small inside, but very clean and nice environment. The server was very nice, but they only had 1 server who was the host, waiter, server, busboy, cashier, do it all. Our service was good but not many people there and could see him getting overwhelmed if a few more people were there. We split bills and they accidentally charged my credit card to my friends meal and didn't charge her card. I told them of the mistake and they quickly corrected the error.

Service was wonderful, and the food was as well. The Pho was fragrant Id suggest you get a large if you are hungry because the medium does no justice and the chicken wings were awesome, crispy yet juicy. Definitely going back. The server was awesome too, we had 4 kids under the age of 7 with us, and he was amazingly calm and patient. Kudos!

Pho TNT-Answers the question why do I have drive to Falls Church to get a God Damned Vietnamese sandwich? Well first they have Bahn Mi and they are good. The Pho is very respectable as well. They have a few Pan-Asian selections for people who lack any sense of adventure. I didn't fool with any of those. The store is a clean. Otherwise it's typical for a strip mall restaurant. They do have like 5 flat screens for your viewing pleasure. They have beer "33" "Saigon" and Singha. My only suggestion would be add a few "craft" beers and I may live here. Try the sandwich (Bahn Mi)

I like TnT Pho. I've had Pho in many places,my benchmark is Pho75 in Rockville. But I no longer work down the road. For those that say the broth is too weak, Tyler removes almost all the fat before serving. If you request it,they will bring some out piping hot. It only takes a tiny bit to ramp up the richness,it won't disappoint. Love the Bahn Mi and most other offerings. A must try in Frederick. I would have to say that this is my favorite in Frederick for Pho and their other Vietnamese dishes. For the LEO's out there, they offer a discount. Enjoy

The summer rolls are excellent. Very fresh with a great home made peanut sauce for dipping. The calamari is outstanding and some of the best I've ever had including high end restaurants. Their coconut water was very refreshing. The wait staff was very professional and attentive in this cozy place. The decor has a very updated look and is extremely neat and clean. A place worth going to to eat in or take out.

We tried this on a Saturday afternoon. The pho broth was one of the best I've ever had. The service was good, but we had multiple servers, so it was confusing at times to determine who was bringing our water, etc. The staff were very friendly. The menu is small, but everything we sampled was good. The inside is clean and modern. I will definitely return. Seating is limited, so if you are planning to stop by at a prime hour, you may have a wait.

Excellent food, excellent atmosphere. This restaurant has the same feel as many of the Asian fusion and other trendy eateries you find in Montgomery county, which for me is a nice change of pace when it comes to Frederick dining. The pad thai I got was delicious. I added the upcharged shrimp and was pleased to see when my dish arrived that it had more shrimp than I could count, and they had all been properly and completely peeled and deveined. The portion size was sufficient, but someone with a heftier appetite may want to get an appetizer as well. The thai tea was fantastic too, and the service was brisk, attentive and polite. This is a small restaurant though, so make sure you get there ahead of (or after) the rush! The only negative I can think of is the beer selection - as with many restaurants, it's dismal, with three domestics and three imports. This wasn't enough to knock off a star however, as everything else was superb!

Great veggie options for entrees. And loved the summer spring roll. (Also has gluten-free options.) Check it out. We'll be back.

Popped in for lunch. Just about everyone in the restaurant was having the Pho. I opted for the chicken in red curry (lunch special) it was delicious. Not spicy like Thai curry, which I also like very much but just as good. Lunch specials come with either a spring roll or a summer roll and a beverage. I can't eat shell fish so they prepared my summer roll without the shrimp it was very good and the peanut sauce for dipping was also very good. Hot tea was also good. I found the staff to be efficient and accommodating and the prices reasonable.

The PHO soup was delicious. I got the Large P4 which is the soup and well done round eye and a glass of Thai Ices Tea. The staff is very attending and courteous, the environment is very welcoming, and the food is prepared timely and well. The music is calming. All together a great lunch spot. PS. Try the Vietnamese Coffee.

I'm not local but I do know Pho! This is by far the nicest pho place I have ever set foot in! The bathrooms are super fancy and the environment and employees are very pleasant. The bowl is absolutely huge! Again, biggest bowl I've ever been served. Food is amazing! Thank you and I'm glad I got to experience this restaurant

Yep, found my new favorite place to eat! I have been eyeing Pho TNT since they opened and finally went today. WHY did I wait so long?! I am no expert on Vietnamese cuisine so I cannot speak on authenticity but I can speak on deliciousness and this place has it. I went specifically for the pho, of course, and was not disappointed. Their broth is smooth and flavorful and the eye round (rare) was very soft and seemed to be good quality. I was almost able to finish a medium. My husband went with the pad Thai with shrimp and we also got the dynamite combination appetizer because we couldn't decide on just one. Holy crap, was everything good! Those wings are so crispy and delicious. Mmmmm, the summer and spring rolls were as well. My husband was meh about the summer rolls but I completely disagree. I think they make a great side with pho. The raspberry tea was even perfect, too. This place is just so up my alley and I am very excited we finally went. I saw they have happy hour during the week with discounted beer and apps which inspired our next trip. Can't wait to try a bahn mi, too. It seemed like that is what most of the tables around us ordered.

Not too good with the seasoning. It was typical pho. Probably unlikely to go back again. Unless someone drags me. Sorry. Make the broth better and also make the noodle better.

This place has very good pho! It also has flying dog bottles! It is also across from the gym so you can go here afterwards and destroy the progress you made during your workout. Winning

I'm not a huge fan of pho, but this wasn't too bad. I'm not sure what the broth needs-more anise, maybe? And I ordered chicken but ended up with steak, which wasn't a huge deal but I would have preferred the chicken. The owner was there and was very hospitable. Also, other pho places I've been have had more add-ins available, it seems. Not a bad lunch spot if you're looking for something different.

  • Deidre C.

The pho here is amazing! The broth is light and tasty and isn't overly salty like some other local places. I ordered the Do Bien, which is the seafood pho. There was a good amount of shrimp, fish balls and scallops. I had asked them to hold the squid. I started with an order of summer rolls and they were delicious. Big and stuffed full. The peanut dipping sauce was very good, too. Warning: the large pho is HUGE. Even on my hungriest day I wouldn't be able to finish. On the plus side, I had plenty leftover so I got 2 meals out of it. I'm excited to come back and try the banh mi and the vermicelli bowls.

This place continue to deliver top notch food and service. Their menu expanded without being overwhelming. Their rice is fragrant and their food is clean and flavorful. Comimg from the bay areas, I am a bit of a food snob. I can't stand a dirty restaurant. Pho TNT is clean and flavorful. Not just another run-o-the-mill Vietnamese restaurant. This is now my go to restaurant whenever I visit DC/MD.

Place was clean, service was friendly, PHO was bland, iced coffee was bland, but there is a full menu and I don't think anything here would really disappoint. Okay, the other reviews you've read are correct. It is a blander PHO than other places. It doesn't have anything to do with them adding more fat to it (PHO broth should be lean) this is just watered down broth and probably doesn't have as much of a spice packet essence as some places. It was actually a bit greasy the last time I had it, so again, not the fat content. It may be a style choice and you may like it. I got halfway through my bowl (which I always heavily season with Sriacha and Hoisin) and I still had to do something I NEVER do to PHO...I added salt. I figured that is what it must be lacking, but the salt didn't help much, it just made for a saltier thin broth. It wasn't bad, just not a lot of flavor. I was also a little annoyed that I ordered the Pho Tai (P3) and got the Pho Chin (P4). They differentiate between rare eye round (P3) and well done eye round (P4). The quantity of meat was also pretty thin. I got a large. It was $9.45. As some said while it is the largest bowl of PHO I have received...it's just the bowl that is big. (See my photo) The amount of soup they give you is on par with other places. It was almost 2" below the rim. Big bowl. Normal amount of soup. Given that, this was a high priced bowl of PHO, specially for Frederick. Iced coffee... Vietnamese iced coffee should be strong and sweet. This was neither. It was more of a traditional iced coffee with coffee that was on the weak side without a lot of condensed milk. I have gotten this before at places that make the iced coffee ahead and then serve it to you. The table-side drip cups make it better. Don't get me wrong, I like the restaurant. The bathrooms are very clean and nice. The menu looks great. It is clear that the owners take pride in the establishment. It's just that for the price, it wasn't up there with the best PHO I've had. I like both Viet Aroma and Lucky Corner better, with regards to local soup offerings. I've had the soup a few times now and I think I'll try some other menu items on future visits. The soup just doesn't give the PHO satisfaction I'm craving. The restaurant is a nice addition to Frederick, though.

Pho is all about the quality of the broth, right?! That intensely delicious rich broth full of flavor & pure happiness...something you deeply crave. A sensory experience. That being said, Pho TNT left me oh so confused. We ordered the eye of round Pho (p3 & p4) The portions are generous, the beef is lean, the noodles are plentiful. The broth???! Nothing more than noodle water. Hot water & noodles. No flavor. Water. My husband & I just stared at each other in total confusion. Not wanting to be rude, we squeezed on the Srirach & Hoisin, eating the beef & noodles but avoiding the broth. How sad...right??!!! When we received our bill I did mention the lack of flavor to our waiter & he said it was due to the broth being 'new' and not enhanced with flavor yet. Why serve something that is the star of the show that's not true quality?? So disappointing. That being said, our waiter did take 20% off of our bill for the low quality of the broth. And I must add that the Summer Rolls were really big & very good!! We may give them a 2nd chance...

To start, my husband and I ordered the appetizer sampler which was delicious and very fresh. I like the peanut sauce that comes with the summer rolls. I ordered the sweet chili lemongrass with shrimp and my husband ordered the Chicken-Ga (Pho) as our main dishes. Both dishes were delicious but I think that my dish could have had less onions and more mixed veggies. It took about 20 minutes to receive our appetizers but our main dishes came out 5 minutes after. The waitstaff was friendly and ensured our drinks were filled. I look forward to coming back for their lunch special!

Decided to try somewhere other than lucky corner and I'm kinda impressed . The pho was pretty good .. Hubby ordered bahn mi (sandwich) & that was REALLY good. Service was great! Definitely will be back!

Made a stop by here on our way to snowboarding. Inside decor and bathrooms are nice, but if they put as much effort into their food, I would have given them more stars. Not only did they forget about our pho, it was bland and barely anything inside of the bowl to get you anywhere near full. Their summer rolls were poorly rolled and had too much lettuce and noodle fillers and a tiny piece of shrimp. I don't live in this area so I definitely would not be coming back.

Dropped in to try the latest addition of Viet food in Frederick and I was really hoping for greatness... Being Vietnamese I've grown up eating the best of the best so I would know. The place is clean and bright, simply decorated nothing too fancy. I ordered the Bun Thit Nuong Cha Gio (vermicelli noodles with grilled beef and Egg rolls) the meat and egg-rolls were up to par but the rest of the noodle bowl was so weakkkk. The noodles were kind of hard and the veggies were just lacking.. Normally I expect fresh herbs, cucumbers, lettuce and carrots all shredded up and mixed to add a nice crunchy texture but it was just bean sprouts... Boring much? The Nouc mam was decent nothing to write home about. My sister had the chicken pho and she thought it was delicious. I didn't get a change to taste it so I can't say much about it. The staff was very friendly and efficient. Although the noodles sucked I will give Pho TNT another try because I have hope! Will review again when I decide to try them one more time!

  • Mike C.

Come on cuh! For me, Pho is all about the broth, that being said. The broth needs a lot of work, way too much M S G. For $8, the quantity and quality of the large TNT pho I ordered was not up to par. The spring rolls were oily and hard. The skins on summer rolls were dry, when it's suppose to be soft and moist, like they were pre-made than refrigerated. The peanut sauce for the summer rolls didn't even have minced peanuts. On a plus note, the wings were decent. But overall, the taste buds and stomach were not to satisfaction and the wallet took a hit. *Take-out order*

  • Jesse J.

Absolutely love this place! It's quick and convenient! The Thai tea, summer rolls & vegan fried rice are my absolute favorites!! I haven't tryed the pho yet tho due to a bad experience of pho at lucky corner. So I'm kinda nervous to try it again but when I do it will definitely be at this place!! Staff are very friendly and sometimes meet you at the door if it's not too busy! Manger comes out and makes his appearance and is also very friendly! There's no doubt this place will b around for a very very VERY long time! If I made enough money to have the luxury to eat out everyday, I would definitely come here!!!

  • John M.

It was outstanding! The calamari appetizer was supple with a crunchy breading. Just super good. The three of us ordered the tnt pho, which consists of a medley of meats in a noodle broth. Thai basil, bean sprouts and sliced limes were offered on the side, asking with fresh sliced jalapeños. I guess pho noodles could be considered a simple dish, but that means the preparation makes that much more of an effect on the final product. This pho noodle soup was an oasis of fresh, quality ingredients in the desert of trans fats and non dairy liquid butter alternative that is Frederick. Im definitely coming back as much as i can. It was also cheap; extra large pho and hot tea for 11 bucks.

There are better pho places for less. Be careful with your debit/credit cards. In the minute they had mine, an employee (I assume, they had his contact info) took it to use at the bar next door. All I got was a half hearted "sorry, see you next time". No, you won't.

  • Vera T.

It's a decent Pho place. I don't know why some reviewers here don't like their Summer roll peanut dipping sauce, I thought it was exceptional and deliciously authentic! The only thing I would change about the rolls - rice paper, it's a bit tougher than I think it should be. Pho soup bowls are deceiving indeed, they appear smaller than they actually are due to the shape of the dishes. Trust me you still get as much as you would at any other Pho place. They recently expanded their menu and added more entrees. Good location, good food, decent prices. What else does one need?

Tony and I finally had the chance to have lunch at Pho TNT. Nice, small restaurant, very clean, and with a simple decor. I liked the glass tiles on the wall. Tony ordered the crispy spring rolls (had a taste - very good); He had the Pho tai (eye round) (had a taste and it was good but could use more flavor); and I had the minced chicken with lettuce wraps. Everything was very good. My dish was a little on the sweet side (I prefer savory foods) but filling. Limited menu but hope they'll expand. They have four lemongrass entrees, so I'd like to see more of a variety. They don't have their liquor license yet, but you can BYOB for a $10 corkage fee. That's the first I've seen in a restaurant in this area. Prices are very reasonable. Service prompt and attentive. With the addition of Pho TNT in Frederick, we now have more choices when we're hungry for Pho. Our other favorites are Lucky Corner, Viet Gourmet, and Viet Aroma. We'll definitely return here in the future.

  • Neena R.

The Pho here was great! Very flavorful broth and lots of seafood in mine. Calamari was good. The spring rolls were salty and greasier than I'd like. Not sure we'd order those again. The restaurant is pleasant, well-lit, and clean. There was an odd odor that I can't quite place, but not a deal-breaker. Server was great, but a little overwhelmed at one point with many tables and several take-out customers. And the owner was there, but shmoozing with customers instead of helping his server out. I'd definitely go back and try some other stuff, particularly the beef pho. Would love to see shrimp toast on the menu!

My niece and I are always looking for new places to eat lunch. This place turned out to be a good choice. Mary had already ordered the spring rolls with peanut sauce, which were delicious. She ordered beef pad thai and I ordered the Pho TNT Special, but I asked them to omit the tripe. It was flavorful, as was the Pad Thai, but Mary did not care for the beef, as it was a little gristly. My dish was fine, and they kept my soda glass filled throughout. Then I asked for dessert, they only had one kind. It was coconut jello with canned fruit cocktail on top. It's been years since I've eaten that kind of fruit cocktail, and it was the first time I'd eaten coconut jello, but the combination was okay. I might order it again if I want something sweet, as it was not expensive. I want to come back again, and order a sandwich next time. I've never had a vietnamese sandwich, so I'm looking forward to it.

Sorry Lucky corner I love you and all but Pho TNT has you beat. Coming from Montgomery County I was spoiled on authentic pho but had to get used to the mildy seasoned chicken broth these local restaurants were offering, not anymore! I did carryout with them 3 times the week I had the flu I and they're bar none the best in Frederick. Side note the Thai tea is a must try. Their owners are friendly, the staff's knowledgeable, food comes out fast, nice clean restaurant, what else could you ask for?

Happened to notice this establishment after leaving JoAnn Fabrics. Decided to stop since I love Phone. In a rush so I decided to take out...big mistake...brought it home to share with my nephew...this Phone was the blandest Pho I have ever eaten. Next time I will stick with Lucky Corners

30 minutes wait for banh mi, pork grill sub & already called in, passed lunch rush, 1:34pm, not sure what the problem is today. Usually the service is not like this. Short staffed??? Hmmmm.

Decidedly underwhelming. Tasteless and dry sweet chili lemongrass. Bland mango curry chicken. Would not revisit.

My husband and I went in during lunch when they did their soft open. Food was great (Pho round eye and spring rolls). I order the basics first to see if they can get it right! Restaurant was clean and service was quick. Prices were reasonable. The only negative comment would be that when I ordered the soup, I requested the meat and extra cilantro on the side. I like to add the meat as I eat so it doesn't overcook in the soup. The waitress brought the soup with the meat in it and no extra cilantro. It isn't a make or break thing for me and I didn't say anything. It was a soft open and they were training their staff and getting everything together. A survey was given to us at the end of our meal. I let them know on the survey. Again, not a huge deal. We will definitely go back.

Pho is all about the broth and here its kinda so-so. But portions are good, there is a decent variety, the setup/ambiance is nice and the service is friendly. Appetizers are also very good, some people seem to not like the spring roll sauce but I think it's fine. The sandwiches are fantastic as well and there are quite a few other menu items I'm looking foreword to trying. Overall, TNT is off to a very good start. There aren't a lot of places to go for decent Pho in Frederick County (Lucky Corner is the only other I know of) so they're a very welcome addition.

  • Wang C.

The 4 items we got tasted different from normal traditional Vietnamese in a good way. The lemongrass chili chicken was excellent. I wanted to over eat. My loved the Pad Thai, but I tried it after eating my food so was more partial to my meal. I let my wife try the chicken sandwich I ordered, because it was of the chain I lost half my sandwhich to her. the Summer rolls had chicken in addition to the shrimp, which was good, but I prefer them with only shrimp. Will return often.

This place only gets better! Since my first review, they've tweaked the pho broth (MUCH more flavorful now!) and added a number of menu items, including Banh Mi sandwiches -- a great pick during warmer weather when I'm not in the mood for hot soup. This is my top pick in Frederick for Pho and Vietnamese.

  • Derek H.

I didn't know what to expect but I'm quite happy I finally made it here. I had a large (and I mean LARGE) pho tnt special (eye-round steak, beef meatballs, brisket, tripe, soft tendon). I also had an iced (Vietnamese w/ no milk) coffee. I met Tyler. Super nice guy. He came out and asked how my meal was, made some recommendations for future visits, and just visited for a while. It was a super easy conversation. It was not awkward like when you go to some restaurants and they feel like they need to ask you how your meal is but not actually care what your answer is. Tyler seemed genuinely interested in why I came to dinner there, why I chose what I did, what I thought about it. I'll totally go back.
