I had a couple of slices that my boyfriend brought home from lunch. I heated it up in the toaster oven and I thought it tasted almost exactly like DiGiorno, Freschetta or some similar frozen pizza. He thought that was probably an improvement over how it tasted when he had it fresh. Not bad, but I wouldn't go out of my way to get it.

Good pizza overall; best if you order an entire pizza, other than a refined slice. Some places can pre-bake a pizza, then refire a slice and it's ok, but as general rule it's usually not the way to sell a slice at optimum quality. JR usually does a decent job with thier NY style pizza. All that isi missing water from the East River. when compared to the rest of the NY style pizza joints in town, this boy is a three star. It's not dog sh!t, but it's not going to give King's much of a run for its money. Overall this is a three and half stars. (This review replaces the original review from a few years ago)

I have ordered a whole pizza there and have had slices during lunch and thought it was very good. Thin crust, good tasting sauce etc. However today I ordered a slice in the late afternoon and received a very dried out slice with some new cheese added on top to mask the dried out cheese below it. When I asked the owner, he admitted it was 3 hours old. They keep the slice pie out of sight so ask how fresh it is since the owner has no reservations to give you something that should be thrown out. Owner is polite. I'll be back when I need a whole pie but will skip the slices. Concerns me though they are willing to serve old pizza. Makes you wonder where else they will cut corners.

Food was Nasty and when you go to pick up your order, try not to look in the filthy kitchen. also food there will give you the Trots....

The pizza is definitely below average. Have only ordered from here in the past because of the limited number of places that deliver in our area. There are definitely better pizza shops in Frederick.

pros: quick delivery, pretty tasty (and hot) calzone cons: absolutely dreadful cheesesteak. took a bite or two and regretted it a lot summary: if you are going to order from this place, dont expect anything special...and dont ever order a cheesesteak

We ordered three subs. None were edible. The toasted italian wasn't toasted, it was just warm. The onion rings were soggy. The meat on the cold italian was suspect in terms of being spoiled or not, and the cheesesteak was just nasty. i just spent $32 and had to go make dinner.
