I just discovered this place, even though I have been working in Frederick for over a year! I do not eat red meat or pork, so having all the vegetarian options on the menu is awesome! The whole front page of the menu is nothing but vegetarian options (they can make anything you want with tofu etc.) I love the Vegetarian Moo Goo Gai Pan, it's delicious! I always get my food to go and its always on time, warm, and delicious. The staff is great and understands me when I call, which I really appreciate because I can be a picky orderer at time :) I feel bad for the others who had bad reviews because I love this place!

One of the best in Frederick, reasonable prices, prompt and always good! We like to eat in or take out. Especially like that they have combos for lunch and dinner!

Chinese food just isn't my cup of tea. That said, once or twice a year I get a hankering for fried rice. I'd walked by this place a few times and was intrigued since it's an actual restaurant and not a carryout. I ordered shrimp spring rolls and a large combination fried rice to share with the bf. The spring rolls were dripping grease but I'm a fatso so I liked them all the same. The fried rice was excellent. They didn't skimp on the beef and chicken though they weren't quite so generous with the shrimp. What I particularly liked was that the dish was light on seasoning and unlike the spring rolls, oil free. I enjoyed the meal so much I might actually return before 2016!

We visited Hood College and want to find a place nearby to have a quick dinner before hitting the road again. A student recommended here. Actually it is beyond our expectation, especially the dinning environment. We were expecting a Chinese take-out a place, but it is more like a restaurant with nice decoration. And it is very clean. The staffs are friendly. We explained we were in a hurry and they recommend a few dishes coming in fast and tasting good. I wouldn't say it is authentic Chinese food, though it is between typical Americanized Chinese food and authentic.

There was a time when we were eating Chinese food once a week (if not more). Since moving to Frederick, that has definitely changed. Partially because of all the yummy Thai and Vietnamese in town but also because we just cannot seem to find a Chinese takeout place that blows us away. I will say that Hunan Gourmet is the current front runner. We opted for a Sunday takeout lunch due mostly to laziness and a craving for egg drop soup. I got the mu shu beef, house fried rice, spring rolls and corn egg drop soup; husband got orange chicken. The egg drop soup was supposed to have corn but I couldn't tell a difference nor did I see any corn. It was fine though. Also, the flavor of the mu shu was a little odd. I could not figure it out. The veggies were perfectly cooked though. I think the best thing was the spring rolls. They were perfect. Everything else was decent though. I'm sure we will give this place a try again but the search is STILL on for our go-to Chinese takeout place.

So I came to Maryland for my BF's birthday and we came here for dinner! I had the triple delight and BF's hubby had the duck! The food was amazing, service was great, and restaurant was clean! This is her go to Chinese restaurant and I see why! Delish!

Fast and friendly delivery and phenomenal, fresh tasting egg rolls with a thin and crispy wrapper! Yum!

I guess you could say this is my go-to Chinese restaurant in town. It's cheap, the food is good, and it's very close, and it's service with a smile. You can't beat that!

This was one of my favorite restaurants when I lived in Frederick. They have a big vegetarian menu with wheat gluten meat substitutes. Visited when back in from out of state and it was just as good as I remembered it to be!

The orange chicken and Singapore noodles are great! Not greasy like most if the places around here.

I've really enjoyed the food here. The General Tso's is a little on the spicy side (good!) and unlike many other Chinese food restaurants the meat in the fried rice has flavor!

I called for delivery. Waited after being asked to hold for ten minutes. Then I was told there was $35 minimum. Really? We have been eating here for almost 15 years but no more.

I am shocked that this place got anything more than one star in prior reviews. Although the info listed does not include delivery..they do deliver. However, they deliver really really bad chinese food. The shrimp tempura was not even close to tempura..tiny overdone shrimp in a superthick batter. King po shrimp was like soup. Again, tiny overcooked shrimp, mushy celery, and very few water chestnut chunks and mushy peanuts, swimming in a soupy sauce. Yuck. We just moved here from Bethesda and if this is the best chinese in frederick, we will be sticking to pizza!

This place was exactly what you would expect. Bland, foodservice bulk chinese food. Ever noticed how almost every chinese place tastes the same these days? This place falls into that category. While they do offer some vegan options, keep looking for something better. It shouldn't be too hard.

my favorite chinese in frederick. i always get the general tso's chicken and wanton soup. the soup is so-so but get the chicken extra spicy and its amazing. its soft, there is always enough of the sauce and the breading is not too thick

My favorite Chinese food in Frederick. Yes, I've had better Chinese food elsewhere (as you get closer to DC, it gets better), but in Frederick, this is pretty good. The service is excellent. Within a minute the soup had arrived, hot and with delicious crunchy noodles. The food comes out hot every time. I like their sesame chicken, Hunan beef, and everything else that I've tried. It may look a little seedy on the outside, and the restaurant in general is a little dated, but the smiling faces and the hot food will convince you that it's a little gem in Frederick.
