One of the things I focused on the most for my wedding was food, and I am so glad I chose Canapes. I actually only had tastings with two different vendors, but Canapes blew the other one out of the water! Not only is their food absolutely delicious, but they just know the wedding business so well. They were such a big help to me during the entire process in figuring out my wedding flow, and they were so great at helping me keep the cost reasonable, even if it meant that I didn't go through them for everything. The company really goes above and beyond on customer service, even managing to help me find chevron runners I could rent from them for my tables. The food though - the food was divine. I had so many of my guests tell me how great the food is. Not only does Canapes provide a HUGE list of possible selections, they also are able to customize food to things not on their original list! I described one of my favorite pasta dishes to them, and then I brought a sample for them to try. They re-created it for my wedding, and also re-created a different appetizer from another restaurant I loved. My entire experience was so wonderful, they're really on top of their game. I would definitely recommend !

I went to an event that was catered by four or five different caterers (they each had tables set up strategically around the main event) This is seriously the only one worth a review. Of all the tables, it's the one that had a constant line of people waiting for food. I myself probably went back with my friends at least 3 times! A sample of some of the things they were serving... - French Fries with truffle oil - General Tso's "cups" with an asian slaw - Caesar Salad cups - Avacado and salmon cups - a huge assortment of cookies and desserts. Of all the food at the event this company really did an A+ job.

I searched long and hard for the right company to cater my wife's 30th birthday party. I was having a mystery dinner party at our home and wanted to provide a great meal to go along with the party. Everything looked great and i was so pleased that I had chosen Canapes to provide the meal. That was until my guests cut into their Tuscan Chicken and it was RAW in the middle. The meal was already fully plated and we only had 30 minutes in order to continue the mystery dinner party, so it was a disaster for sure. I called Canapes the following Monday and told them what happened and their only response was "Did you take pictures so we could see?" Really, i am going to lie to you and tell you that you ruin my wife's birthday party. I had 15 guests that will attest that the chicken was raw. I never heard back from them, no "I'm sorry" Nothing. I wasn't looking for anything to be done honestly, I just wanted to let them know to make sure next time it was cooked. They DID NOT CARE. I would not recommend, nor would I ever use these people again.

On short notice, they provided excellent food and service for a post funeral reception. They were superb in catering a complete dinner for a neighborhood social club of 50 people. More recently, the catered a bridal shower with great food! The cupcakes looked like they were right out of a magazine and yummy too! They do a great job, period!

We considered using Canapes for our up-coming wedding considering they were highly recommended by our venue but ended up going in a different direction after many concerning interactions. 1. They took a very long time to get back to us with proposals both before the tasting and after the tasting. They said to expect a final proposal 1 week after our tasting and it ended up taking 13 days even after repeated calls by us asking what was happening. 2. They forgot to send us the tasting menu selection until the weekend before the tasting when we were out of town so we had to rush through it using our smart phones while on vacation. 3. They also neglected to tell us until the weekend before that there was a $25/per person tasting charge which I thought was absurd considering how much potential money we would be spending with them and considering our other tastings at other caterers were free (and included champagne). 4. The tables they had set up for tastings had old and worn table clothes, dented up furniture, and the chipped settings ... not the best impression for the type of stuff you'd like to see end up at your wedding. I am still giving them 3 stars because the food was very good (although the canapes were way too large for finger food) and I can see why people have raved about it in other reviews.

I've had Canapes several times, recently they catered sandwiches to an event I was attending. Their food tasted fresh and was delicious! I also hear they sell carryout lunches, at their office by the fairgrounds, which I plan on trying very soon!

Canapes ruined Christmas dinner for me and my family. I ordered a spiral ham, corn pudding and Mac n cheese. I specifically asked for the ham to be glazed but it was bare with absolutely no dressing. The mac n cheese had NOT a bit of cheese in it (imagine that)! I sincerely don't know how these people stay in business serving this kind of food! Take my advice and stay clear from this place.

My sister had Canape's cater her wedding (because the actual wedding was at Thorpewood and they were the vendor that she was allowed to use). My personal experience with them while at the wedding was good - the food was spectacular and everything looked amazing. Because it was a vegan fare only wedding, it was (I'm sure) hard to provide much variety, but Canapes managed to pull it out! The reason I'm docking a star is because she said that, when they had their tasting, nothing that they had prepared was even vegetarian. I really think it's pretty sad that when you're doing an important tasting for a big event, you make sure to read what the client chose for their menu and listed as their dietary restrictions beforehand. Although Canapes gave them another tasting, it was inconvenient because my sister had to drive an hour to get there and Canapes was not very good about communicating what the ingredients would be for the second tasting.

We used canapés for a recent holiday party. Food was lovely. The staff was even better. Adrienne did an amazing job. She took over the event and the details so I could get ready. She knows how to run a party and does an excellent job with out prompting. Very well done!!

I'm upgrading. The lunch reviewed before was a test run for the big catered dinner event we selected them for last night. Canapes definitely cranked it up a notch. The Mediterranean buffet was really well done - roasted/grilled veggie platter, some very popular lamb meatballs, chicken kabobs, and some fantastic Greek-like appetizer display with hummus, stuffed grape leaves, roasted peppers, olives, feta, etc. The whole affair drew universal raves from the guests, and the service was well run.
