If you are a lazy cook go ahead and pick up a ham from here. I won't be doing that. However, I will go and pickup one of their fresh ham or turkey sandwiches. I ordered ham and brie, a classic combination. They were out of white bread so I got it on croissant. Good choice Aisha. The bread was very soft, the ham generous, and the lettuce and cucumber was crispy. Now this place needs a new set up. Despite having the order here sign it wasn't clear where to order. If you just want a sandwich you'll have to wait in line behind all the people who want hams.

Just left Honey Baked Ham in Forestville I haven't been there sense I was a little girl. But today I was craving a turkey sandwich on a croissant. Let me tell you this was the best sandwich I've had in forever I'm tempted to go back and get another one! The man who rung me up was very sweet and accommodating! I will be back.

This place has two types of deli meat - turkey and ham. Today they ran out of turkey. How does that happen?!?! Plus the people working here aren't very nice.

Last weekend, I placed an online order for a party package. I went to pay for the order online and was told I could not. I had a coupon code to enter for 15% and was told that the code would be honored upon someone calling to confirm my order that same weekend. No one called me to confirm my order, so on Sunday afternoon, I called the store to find out if my order was even going to be processed--it was due to be delivered the next day. I was told that the person who could take the coupon was not in--I was doubtful that the store wanted to honor the coupon, but was told that I should fax in the coupon code, which I did. The next day arrived and this store finally called to confirm my order, but denied my coupon code. They did not honor it and did not present another opportunity to let me provide another coupon. I ended up not being able to use a coupon. I was transferred to several different people who had no clue and then was finally denied the use of my coupon. Had I known this, I would've ordered our party food from the local grocery store, who has wonderful catering. I'm not ever going to order from this store again.

I visited this place about 2 weeks ago. I was pleasantly surprised how nice it looked inside. It had been remodeled from pictures posted years ago. You can sit near the fireplace area and enjoy a quaint conversation over a tasty lunch. Nice. My mom and I visited on a Sunday and they opened on time: 11:00 am. The manager served us. He was pleasant, professional, and treated us we mattered. I love it when a manager gives you the royal treatment. My mom got a sandwich on a pretzel bread. It was hard like a pretzel...Wow! She liked it, but I can't really get with that concept for a sandwich. They should be separate for me. But, she liked it. I got the signature turkey bacon ranch on regular bread. LOVED IT! I'm picking up a honey baked ham and cheesecake platter this weekend to beat the Thanksgiving rush. Stay tuned for my review.

Great spot to pick up a good and healthier sandwich than other fast food joints. Comfy Dining area with a fireplace too. Turkey bacon Ranch and Ham & Turkey Bella on Multigrain.... Yum. We were the only ppl there so service was fast and the folks were friendly. Definitely check out when in the area. Disclaimer: We only get sandwiches or individual meals from here; no hams.

Ok, they have forced me to return and let everyone know the place is hit or miss. Now that warmer days are upon us, they have chosen the route of freezing their customers out of the establishment. I have recently gone and U-turned immediately upon hitting the door because it was that unbearable. Don't just bring your jackets, bring your scarfs and mittens too! Don't show up for an eat-in lunch on the week following a holiday (e.g., Easter). All the tables get pushed out of the way, computers are everywhere, and it's generally a mess. They don't seem to hurry to get the place back in order, it might be this way for a week. Some days they could make more of an effort to be friendly. Hit or miss, but the food seems to be consistently good.

My husband and I visited the Forestville location yesterday to pick up a ham and a turkey breast. The cashier was very friendly and helpful but the Manager (Ced) went out of the way to accomodate us!! Outstanding customer service at this location.

I might need to update this review at a later date since I realize that it's 3 days before easter, but I went in today for lunch (April 21, 2011) and it was CROWDED. I think the staff tried to be friendly but there was just too much chaos! I ordered a kids meal for my son which was supposed to come with a cookie but instead of waiting around to talk to someone about getting the cookie I just cut my losses and left. I got the Tavern Club which was good but had too much sauce and was obviously thrown together. I also think that the sandwich was a little pricey at $6.39 plus tax. Expect to spend between $8-9 for a combo. I will return but I will be more selective about when.
