Italian Cuisine
The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.
Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.
If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.

Fallston Seafood Restaurant is great! Overall, Fallston Seafood is a cozy restaurant with great, affordable food. My hunny and I have visited numerous times since we discovered it about a year ago and we never leave disappointed. Fallston Seafood is split into two sections. The door on the left leads you into the bar and the door on the right leads you into the dining room. I have never gone into the bar, so I can only give my opinion on the dining room experience. The dining room itself is small, with some booths and table with chairs in the middle. Despite this, I have never had to wait and am always immediately seated at the table or booth of my choice. There is also a few flat screen televisions and a fireplace which is so cozy during the winter!! I pretty much order the same thing every time I visit, which is the crab cake sandwich. (See photos) The crab cake is amazing AND huge!! It is full of jumbo lump crab meat with little filler. Mmm, I wish I had another one right now even though I just stuffed myself last night. Anyways, you can choose to have the sandwich on a few different types of bread or a kaiser roll. I get the kaiser roll and only add lettuce. I feel like extra toppings would take away from the crab cake goodness. It comes with chips and a pickle but I usually substitute the chips for fries and they are fresh, crispy and hot. I have also had the Crab Dip from here as well. It is served in a bread bowl with chunks of fresh bread on the side for dipping. It is the best crab dip I have ever had. No complaints!! The last time I decided to try the cream of crab soup to switch things up a bit and the soup was filled with lumps of meat and had just enough spice. (See photos) Yum!! :) I would have licked the bowl if there weren't other diners around... My hunny usually splits the crab dip with me and he loves it too. His favorite is the cheesesteak sub. The 8inch doesn't seem like an 8inch, it seems much bigger. (See photos) The menu is quite extensive and there is plenty to choose from, but I definitely recommend trying the crab cakes. I could only give 4 out of 5 stars because the service is so slow sometimes.. Even though the place has been fairly empty every time I have gone. I can look past this to enjoy a good, solid meal though ;)

All I can say is WOW.....I arrived here for the ALL YOU CAN EAT CRABS for $23.99 and I can say they were worth more then you can imagine!!!!! Also our server served us rolls that were made from pizza dough FANTASTIC!!

The 5 stars are for only the cream of crab soup. It's my all time favorite. Everything else is just okay.

Went to get crabs to go a couple weeks ago. Got 2 dozen (12 large 12 xlarge) for 3 people. They were awesome! Perfectly seasoned and very heavy! So heavy we couldn't finish all of them! Normally I would put a dozen away easily! While we were waiting for the crabs we grabbed a couple bloody Mary's and they were surprisingly good too! (It's a small bar, I was expecting vodka and store bought mix). The mix tasted homemade and was the perfect balance of spicy and thickness! Will definitely be back a lot this summer! Maybe today?

Poor service, poor service, poor service. Young wait staff needs to get their heads out of their social concerns and tend to customers correctly. Plan on being seated and partially ignored while watching others eating around you, that were seated more recently than you. Talked to manager/owner and while she listens to your valid issues, no apology or anything is offered. Drive 2 minutes North to Basta Pasta...better food and better service! Skip Fallston seafood. It has been bad over the years and things have not gotten better with the change in management.

This place looks completely different than what you'd expect when you pull in. Inside is very cozy - reminds me a bit of Cracker Barrel but more local. I like the "no cleats allowed" which makes me think a lot of middle and high school athletes and families frequent this place. We were instantly greeted and seated - the service was awesome. Our server Sarah was friendly, patient, and super thoughtful. The good was great but the menu was definitely daunting and bit difficult to navigate, it had everything! Definite diamond in the rough. We will be back!

Been there twice.... The first time I went was on a recommendation from someone local. I have to admit that I wasn't real optimistic going in because of the outside of the building. It turned out the crab cakes were great and everyone I was with really enjoyed the steamed crabs. The second time visiting I ordered the stuffed Rock Fish and it was awesome.

These guys have been a fixture in Fallston for probably 20 years, and for good reason. The food here is very good, especially seafood entrees. Order fish? How do you want it? Broiled/baked/grilled/blackened/etc.? And they know how to do crab fluff and fried hard crab. Staff is friendly and attentive. Decor is cozy. They have all-you-can-eat crabs, though I've never gotten them here it seems to be popular in season. But their crab prices are par for the course in the area. Definitely a good stop and the best in the 152/Pleasantville Rd area.

Craving seafood after hiking and was told by a local to come here. Fabulous service at the bar and great cream of crab soup, steamed shrimp with garlic rolls. Only negative was the corn on the cob was hard to eat.

Went here on a Saturday night and sat at the bar. Ordered a few apps...mussels which were very nice In a garlicky butter sauce. A little heavy on the butter, but still good. Also had the fried green beans. A little too much beading for my liking, but again not bad. Finally had the crab fluff, which is hard to find. If you are looking for s good fluff this is the spot, and if you haven't had a fluff you need to get one at least once. Think of a soft shell crab with a crab cake on top then add some crab imperial and deep fry the whole thing. Not good if you are watching calories, but a must try. If you are into beer they had some decent craft drafts.

I have never had a good meal here. I like the atmosphere and the service is always quick

A group of us went here. 2 of them asked if they make Irish coffee the waitress said yes and they ordered them. When the drinks arrive it was black coffee with Jameson. We said they forgot the Bailey's Irish creme so the waitress went back to get some to add. It is an Irish coffee you need Bailey's. After the meal we noticed they charged us for 2 Jameson coffees then added 5.50 for Bailey's. That's nearly a 12.00 drink. When we asked the waitress she said when she puts into the computer that's the only way she can ring it up. We would not pay that kind of money at a dumpy restaurant. If I was downtown I could expect a higher price. The food is decent here but our group wont be coming back. One bad experience equals hundreds of dollars in lost revenue for them. Pasta Basta is right up the street so Fallston Seafood needs to bring their A game because Pasta Basta is always busy and we walked right in and sat down here. Hmm maybe I should have seen that coming.

Walked in. Seated promptly. Drink order taken and delivered. At the 15 minute mark we asked a waitress to tell our waitress we were more than ready to order. 10 minutes later we walked out. Only 4 other customers were in the resturaunt. Something in the back room going on that is more important than customers I guess?

Ordered crab cakes and a few beers - great service and food! Also got a tour of the kitchen and was extremely impressed with the cleanliness and hospitality of the staff - will come back again!

Great crab cake! Ok burger. Slow service. Long time (25 minutes) between ordering and serving.

Terrible. Lobster tasted like bleach. This place makes Red Lobster seem like the real deal.

We had dinner here last month and will never go back. Service was a 4 out of 10. Dining room was half empty on a Wednesday night and we had to wait ten minutes to get drink order taken. I ordered the maui maui which came out warm- barely. It also had a weird taste. I sent it back thinking to just needed to be cooked longer. That did nothing to change the odd taste. I really think it was a bad piece of fish. My husband had the prime rib and not only did come out under cooked and way too rare but it was super fatty. We were embarrassed to ask it be sent back since we had already sent back the mahi mahi. He ate a small amount and we had it wrapped up for our dogs to eat. The bill for two beers and two regular entrees came to 60 dollars for food that we could have gotten at a truck stop. An extra 10 dollar tip and we were at 70. We have been here a handful of times - always for the lobster on Tuesdays- and now I see why they say lobster is hard to mess up. I don't thinks we will return here even for the lobster special. TO make matters worse, we both felt ill with gastrointestinal issues the day after and I don't think it's a coincidence- although I can't be certain why we got sick. I tried to call while I was in the throes of having to run to the bathroom and the manager would not speak with me. I had a teenage boy who answered the phone relay the message to her and while he giggled he told me that the manager said to tell me that nobody else had reported being sick. Complete disaster.

My son and I visited this past Tuesday night and were pleasantly surprised. We were greeted and seated immediately. Our waitress came to our table, greeted us, and took our drink orders immediately. She was very pleasant and replaced our drinks with new ones (not refilled) before we asked. I had the crab cakes that were just a little above normal but very large, My son has the Veal Parmigiana and this was the hit of the night, very large portion that was very tender. We got the fra diavolo sauce and it had to be one of the best I have every had. The sauce is hot spicy, not for the timid. The hot fresh rolls were a nice touch. We came because we had a coupon, but will come back again for the Italian food.

My husband and I went here to use a CBS Local Offers deal we had bought. Before buying, I had checked reviews here and a couple of other place, and though it wasn't receiving 5 stars, it didn't seem terrible. We are avid users of Groupons, etc because money is tight and it allows for us to go to dinner more regularly. With that said, this was the worst experience using an online deal that we've ever had. The dining room had a wait time and so we decided to sit at the bar. The bar area is small (6 seats) and is flanked by the carryout counter. I mention this because when the young women who run the carryout counter weren't waiting on customers, they stood 4 feet away from us, directly in front of us, talking away and staring at us. There was no reason for them to be so close as they could have stayed on the carryout side where they were working, but they didn't and it was super uncomfortable. We were seated directly under a stereo speaker tuned into a local rock station but that wasn't really tuned in. It was more static than music most of the time. Have you ever been trapped in the backseat of a car with no control over the radio? It was like that but nothing other than static...terrible! I asked the bartender to fix it but after moving around the stereo antenna wire (when's the last time you saw that?) to no avail, it stayed that way for the remainder of our experience. My husband had a beer and I ordered a cocktail off the specials list. The bartender had to go somewhere else in the restaurant to get soda, etc which was weird. The special cocktail I ordered was a Dark and Stormy, and considering that drink is 2 ingredients, one would think it would be hard to screw up. The drink tasted like a flat Pepsi from the trunk of your car. I didn't complain about it though because after just asking for the stereo to be tuned in, I didn't want to come off as a complainer. Plus, it's alcohol, so who cares. But, here comes the food part. I ordered a crock of cream of crab (okay...a bit thick for my taste in that you could see where your spoon had scooped through it but tasty enough) and my husband had a crock of chicken noodle (he said it was fine). We both ordered shrimp salad sandwiches for dinner. I took one bite of mine and thought it was a bit off but that bite was more bread than anything, although I did notice that the shrimp salad wasn't very cold. Room temp at best. I took another bite and tasted nothing but bleach. I thought, "Hmmmm, my sinuses are acting up, maybe it's just me." I waited for my husband to take a bite and then I knew from his face that it was bad. I leaned over and quietly said, "Bleach?", and he said, "This is bad...really bad." We debated whether to just leave or if we should say something, and here's why. Earlier, when I complained about the stereo, the locals also sitting at the bar made comments to the bartender insinuating that I was being a PITA, and I hate confrontation. But, you know what? This shrimp salad was bad and I had to say something. I quietly called over the bartender and told her. She took away the sandwiches and offered to bring us something else. We both ordered new items that did not involve seafood. I had Penne with Vodka Sauce (meh) and my husband had a burger that was drowning in blue cheese dressing. Sorry, if you offer a blue cheese burger, shouldn't you have blue cheese crumbles, for God's sake? They keep forever! We never saw a manager to apologize (she had been out chitchatting with us earlier but when i saw her after the shrimp salad she didnt say a word or look our way, and she also serves as acook because she was talking to us about her chicken noodle soup). When we got the check, they had taken off the sandwiches, but nothing else, like even offer of a cup of coffee or anything. We didn't necessarily expect anything, but if I had served someone a bleach sandwich, I think I would've gone a bit more out of my way. Needless to say, we quickly paid the bill (leaving 20%, which was about 10% more than deserved) and got the heck out of there. Never, ever again.

I have been eating here for about 15 years. The food was always top notch with some of the best cream of crab soup I have ever had, awesome subs, and heavy crabs. The service was also always pretty good. I moved out of state and just returned a few months ago and have been back twice now. It appears that there was an ownership or management change. The quality of the food has declined as has the service. On my last trip here I was seated and proceeded to wait for 20 minutes and not a single server came to the table - not even a drink order or a please be patient. After those 20 minutes we got up and left. We will not be back.

This is our go to seafood joint when we are craving crabs. It is close to our house, so we go here ever other month or so, especially when we have out of town guests. The seafood is always good, we haven't had any issues with the service, I have found them to be polite and attentive. I like when the put the brown paper on the table, they'll bring you crayons to have fun drawing pictures with the kids. Tip: If you are ordering crabs, call ahead. They don't take reservations. We try to get there before the dinner rush starts, so as to get a seat (and a parking spot). There is parking around back, but if that is all that is left, count on there being a wait.

We are Fallston Residents. Not many local eating establishments to chose from. We have eaten at Fallston Seafood for a number of years until a year ago when we waited for over 25 minutes for someone to take our order. That night there were 5 tables with customers. We closed our menu in disgust and left. Believing everyone makes mistakes we went back last night for a late dinner. We were promptly seated and our waitress came and took our drink order. We needed a few minutes to make a derision and our waitress said she would stop back. There were 3 tables with customers. I counted 3 waitresses. After 20 minutes and another couple coming in and waited on immediately, we closed our menus and left. As we walked out one waitress who was sweeping the floor said "Thank you, come back again". Fat chance. In my ball game there are only 2 strikes... and we are out, for good.

Loved this place. The steamed crabs were hot and fresh. The wings were good sized and the MD crab soup was tasty. That day my wife and I met my brother and sister in law for dinner we got the All You Can Eat crab dinner for $23 each. It was worth every penny of it.

On a pain in the butt roadtrip up to a property that my family owns to take care of some unnecessarily stressful business, my father and I stumbled upon this place sort of randomly. We walked in to a basic family-oriented ambience, but with a bar on the side. Not too shabby. Our waitress wasn't spectacular, but the appetizer and food came out in a reasonable time. We were exhausted, so we picked at our onion rings for a bit until they brought out the saving grace of our entire trip... The Crab Cakes. Oh my dear Lord, the Crab Cakes. Now, nearly every restaurant in Maryland has their own recipe, and everyone has their own favorite spot. After a lifetime of crabcakes at different places, I have finally found *my* spot. The rest of the meal was good, don't get me wrong... but the crab cakes were mindblowing. They were huge, they were perfectly cooked, they were filled with crab meat. I'd eat them everyday if I lived up there. Now, the crabcakes are pricey, but they are worth every penny of it. I can't speak for the other seafood they had there; why explore the menu when something so awesome is staring you right in the face? Go here. Try the best crab cakes in the world. You won't be sorry.

I've eaten here many times over the years, and the service had always been hit or miss. Sometimes it was adequate, other times non-existent. Until they got their liquor license, this place was usually empty, even on all-you-can-eat crab night. I won't be venturing here anymore, however. The final straw was when 2 family members were served ROTTEN fish. As in, it smelled terrible, was inedible, and was partially decomposed. When it was brought to the attention of the waitress, she said, Oh, I thought it smelled bad! Um, then why the hell did you serve it to the customers?!! They offered to make something else, but of course, by then everyone at the table had lost their appetites.
(1)Aly M.
I've eaten here a bunch as well, as Heather K. has. I haven't had the same bad experience, luckily. We usually get carryout, but even when I've eaten in I have been happy. The food is decent and I like the cozy environment. The new bar area is a nice touch.
