So so for a quick bite. Portions are small. Reminds me of the food you would order at the old drive ins. Hershey milkshakes which I didnt try this visit. Too expensive for small mediocre portions. Shame we need decent food places in Fallston. This place isn't it. DO NOT get Mac n Cheese!!!! Its terrible!*

Everyone mentions a quick bite. Oh, just the opposite. It took 45 minutes to get our order which was wrong. We left, never to return.

We went to the Back in the Day Cafe for ice cream only, bringing our grand kids and a few adults. What a disappointment! We would have been so much better off getting good ice cream and toppings and making the sundaes ourselves. Where do I start? The menu lies! I asked for the walnuts which were plainly printed there and I got...wet walnuts! Yuck! Why anyone likes these syrupy sweet things is beyond me but to each his own. Just don't try to pawn them off as walnuts! My hot fudge sauce wasn't great but was far superior to: The horrible "caramel sauce" on my granddaughter 's sundae. Totally inedible, even for her who will each most anythingswert. My other granddaughter asked for the strawberries and marshmellows plainly printed on the menu and got: strawberry jam-like stuff and marshmellow fluff. She also hated the chocolate sauce they used. Nobody liked their sundae though some were worse than others. Too bad. I was hoping the place would be good since it's just down the road from us. The ice cream place we usually go to is Broom's Bloom and is wonderful with great homemade ice cream and good sauces (and real walnuts). But it's not close and is always crowded with lineups (for a reason). We will still go there next time unless this cafe turns over a whole new leaf!

We went there today for lunch. Shannon was quick and efficient. We ordered a meatball sub, bacon and egg sandwich, fruit cup and milk shake. Everything was very good and I would highly recommend the meatball sub (warning:very messy!).

I m sorry Christina w was so disappointed. We pride ourselves in quality food at a very reasonable price along with good customer service. The only excuse I can offer is that it seems your visit was when we first opened. I think if you try again you will be quite pleased. Hope to see you again!
