This place is awesome... The food is yummy and the atmosphere is very inviting. It doesn't seem like there is a diversity of customers but I've only been once and stayed for about 7hours. Anyway I like it and even the takeout staff is friendly. Going again? Hummm! Yup Reviewer

YES! This place is so cool! Yesterday was our first time being here after finding it on YELP of course. seriously had a great time and with great FOOD most importantly. Brittany took good care of us. We had shots, beer and food and most importantly CRABS. Everything is so yummy. If in the area again I would definitely return. This place has lots of options of seating so we sat on the deck and just had a great time.

Great specials throughout the week so check their website for deals AND coupons! Crabs are usually part of specials. Dine in and carryout specials available. Crab pretzel is highly recommended and their wings are good!!

Excellent food and service! Crab dip was amazing! My husband's cream of crab soup was some of the best I've ever tried. I had a special that was chicken tenders with old bay on them, covered in crab imperial... To die for!!!!

Like being at home. Everything on the menu is delicious and everyone on the staff is wonderful. For an area that really lacks in abundance of restaurant choices, I'm glad we got this one.

Tonight was our first time visiting Salerno's. We had an unused gift certificate from the now-defunct Park's Landing, and Salerno's was gracious enough to honor the other restaurant's outstanding gift certificates. I'm sure Salerno's will have a slew of new customers as a result - THANK YOU! Luckily, I called ahead for a 6:30 reservation. When we got there the parking lot, lobby, and restaurant were PACKED! We finally made our way to the hostess stand and were immediately seated - I was shocked! We've been to fine dining restaurants where we had reservations and still had to wait for a table if the restaurant was very busy. Service was prompt and attentive, and best of all the food was delicious! We got a variety of food - crab dip, mozzarella sticks, burger, crabby bird sandwich, cheesesteak, and a beautiful Cobb salad - everything was wonderful! I really can't say enough nice things about this restaurant! I'm sorry Park's Landing closed, but thrilled to have found a "new" go-to restaurant! Well done, Salerno's!!

We've been to Salerno's many times over the years. We have found the food usually pretty good but rarely spectacular. We have found the service uneven, ranging from top-notch to seriously lacking. Really based on convenience and a promise made to our kids, we visited on a recent Monday for the All-You-Can-Eat steamed crabs special. One would think that a venerable seafood house would have the infrastructure and experience to run an all-you-can-eat special professionally and successfully. If it were my restaurant, the waitstaff would cater to and support the frenzy that such an experience can be. After all, for a small dining room, the more quickly courses are served, the more quickly customers can be sated and the tables could be turned. Surely a venue as established and experienced as Salerno's understands this. Apparently not. Although they only run the all-you-can-eat special one night a week, maybe we hit them on an off-night. Maybe they had the circumstance of a last-minute notice of being understaffed in either the front- or the back- of the house (seemed to be both). Maybe it was the party of 15 who was seated immediately before us. Whatever the reason, we waited an inordinately long time just to place drink orders, another long wait to receive the drinks, another long wait to place food orders, and also a very long delay before food began to come. All told, from being seated to the arrival of the first steamed crabs, the wait was nearly an hour. Something clearly was wrong. The crabs themselves were inconsistent. We knew they would be small and generally they were good as expected. We did not expect a few mixed in with an off-putting odor. Were they on the verge of spoilage? Reorders also arrived slowly and inconsistently. We came to feel sorry for the waitress. She had too many customers and was being let down by the kitchen. Again, something was amiss. We'll return to Salerno's when memory of this experience fades, as it is too convenient to us to take off our list entirely. The family appreciated the experience, and the opportunity for crabs without the associated mess at home. What Salerno's needs is professional restaurant management though, or competition, or both.

Best place for crabs - they're consistently heavy for their size and priced better than the competition. They other menu items are very good - crab cakes, steamed shrimp, chicken tenders. They fix a great drink, very generous. Great service. Never disappointed.

Good food, has been around for years , great crabs in summer , have to only give 3 stars , they count my 8 month old daughter in a car seat as a guest and therefor added 18% gratuity , sorry because you could have made out with a better tip letting me do it myself

Was not very impressed with the food but figured I would give the crabs a try. We were very disappointed in the crabs. They were over cooked, mushy and the seasoning was lacking. We picked them up at exactly the time we reserved them for and they were cold. I would not waste my money on this place.

We had my in-laws 50th wedding anniversary party in the catering room. The staff was EXCELLENT!! The food was FABULOUS!! Anything we asked for it was done with a smile. Thank you Gil for fixing our music. This experience was nothing short of amazing. A++

We've been to Salerno's several times, and it's always good. Their pizza wasn't great, but they are all about seafood and crabs, so I don't think it's that big of a deal. The crabs are always excellent, and a good price for the area. Last Monday we went over for al all you can eat special - crabs, corn, crab pretzel and MD Crab Soup for $12. They were very generous with everything - we each even started off with our own dozen crabs, and got as much of everything else as we wanted. I normally do not like crab pretzels as every other one I have had was dry and not crabby, but theirs was wonderful. Our family took some home and I think everyone was fighting over the leftover pretzels. On a different night we tried their desserts - the lava cake is to die for, we haven't had a better one. Service is also very good, and they have an extensive menu. Check out the website for specials, coupons and additional specials in their newsletter.

Crabs are over priced and service is sub par. Long standing establishment in Eldersburg but misses the mark in contemporary ambiance and not the classiest of places. The bar attracts less than ideal clientele. The police has been called one too many times. Once saw a brawl there. Probably a place where the Sons of Anarchy would hang out.

let's start with the excellent MD crab soup. Not just veggie soup with old bay and crab meat. Really very good. The crabs OMG! We ordered a dozen jumbos. I've never seen a dozen crabs look like the mountain they made on our table. i'm a big guy 5 foot 8 inches and over 200lbs. I was full after 3crabs. The seasoning again is unique and not overly done. The meat of the crabs came out so easily, do juicy, and so sweet. This is my favorite crab place

Not sure why this restaurant is listed as having no take-out as that is probably the bulk of their business!! This is the best place in town to get crabs. Their crab dishes, especially the crab dip, are delicious! Go there often enough and you may run into local celebrity Cal Ripkin Jr. He likes it enough to hold family parties there. Good solid restaurant. I like their blackened tuna Caesar salad the best. By the way, yes, they accept credit cards and there is good patio seating. This listing is clearly flawed!
