We love this place. Simple fresh made Mexican food. Nachos Plazualas is our favorite. We get both meats on the nachos and share an entrée. Also the staff is friendly, hard working and attentive without being intrusive. Give it a try....you might just be surprised how full your belly feels without draining your wallet.

The good reviews really shock me here. 3.5 stars? Would love to know what those people eat on a regular basis. Anyway, I ate here a few times hoping they would redeem themselves, but the food was really bad. I agree with the guy who wrote the lousy sauce tastes like a watered down Italian sauce poured over "Mexican" food. The salsa is also some of the worst I've ever eaten. Service was never more than fair. I'm surprised they've remained open this long.

I stopped in Plazuelas because i was in the area and was in the mood for Mexican food. I had a margarita which was very, very tasty. Then came the chips and salsa - meh! I was underwhelmed by the food, but I think I my ordering choice was poor. Some of the dishes that went by our table looked fabulous. The service was very friendly and the decor was nice. I don't think I'll return as there are many Mexican/Tex/Mex places close to me.

This place is amazing! The staff are wonderful, the food is great, and the prices are totally reasonable. My husband and I go here probably once a week. I love the fajitas, and the Jumbo Texas Margaritas! We also recently made arrangements with them to host a party with about 20 people from my work and they were extremely accommodating. We LOVE Plazuelas!

I'll start out by saying that it's REALLY hard to find good Mexican food around here. No, I mean REALLY hard.......not as hard as finding a missing airplane in the Bermuda triangle, but harder than finding a lost sock that disappeared in the dryer. With that said, I'd driven past this place several times but never stopped, being skeptical and jaded by my previous experiences at other local places. But on one particularly nasty rainy evening, when I'd been super delayed trying to get home from work and was starving, I decided to stop in and give it a try. When I first walked in, I noticed that the entire back section was empty, everyone was sitting in the front....OK, fine...keep everyone together to make it easier on the wait staff, no problem. But when I was approached by the host, he tried to get me to sit in the back all by myself. What, just because I'm dining alone I have to be secluded from the general population? When I asked if I could sit in the grownups dining room like everyone else, I got a dirty look in return but was seated. The server came out promptly and took my order, but once the food was delivered he never came back to see if I needed another drink, more salsa, how the food was, or anything else. I had to flag him down to ask for the check. So I'd say that the service was less than stellar all the way around. Now for the food.........like I said........it's REALLY hard to find good Mexican food around here. Yes, I know I keep saying it, but I really want to get that point across. Anyway..........this food was OK. Not as good as what I've had in Texas or Arizona, or even in Kansas City, but definitely better than a lot of other places I've been around Annapolis. The margarita that I did have was good, just the right balance of lime & tequila. Would've liked a second one, but it wasn't meant to be....... So bottom line is that I'll probably stop in again and give them another chance, try something else on the menu to see how it is.
