Pizza
Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.
Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.
Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Whether you prefer thin or thick crust pizza, you can find a pizza of your preference at the best pizza restaurants in your city.

Been buying from these folks for years, never got a bad pie. They offer several flavors in their crusts and they don't skimp on the toppings.Their wings are also great as are.their other offerings. If you are feeling lazy and don't want to drive, they deliver.

This place is excellent and a much better alternative to Little Cesars. The establishment is clean and the guys were friendly. I will definetly be coming here in the near future. Also, once you use YELP to check it the give you a coupon.

The pizza didn't wow me. It was like pizza at Jeepers it CiCi. There was no really taste to it and the sauces was bland and the crust was just crust. This is pizza for the young. Not for us with taste buds. The store was clean the employee were nice. So I think I will leave it with the young people!!

I'll just cut through the chase. I've eaten at this Hungry Howie's several times over the years with varying degrees of success and failures. The best thing on the menu by far is their wings, in particular the barbeque flavor. It has a slight kick to them but they're tasty. Go there for the wings alone. I've had their ham and cheese calzone and it was one over sized sandwich stuffed in folded pizza crust. For what it was.. ehh.. just ok. The Howie Rolls are decent, nothing mind blowing. The pizzas are overpriced and a bit on the small size in comparison to their competitors. Their sauce is pretty tame and almost flavorless. DON'T order the Meat Lovers pizza!!! It's probably the biggest rip off I've ever experienced at a pizza joint. Two stars. One for the wings, and the other for the service because they're friendly enough.

Im not sure why this place gets a lot of attention. But my office got this, and I was excited because I never had their pizza. Like, my co worker we must order Howies... over my beloved Ledos. Long story short, we got the pizza. I look at the box, not impressed. It looks like Little Caesars. I bite into it. and it was nasty. Nothing tasty. it tasted generic, just like LC. Nothing wowed me. I could barely eat one slice. However, I ate a steak n chesse. and it was good. THe reason for 3 stars is there service,if you say your going to be there by 12 be there by 12 dont give me a cheese grin and not apologize for being 15 minutes. Im certain this place use to have quality service and food back in the days. Im sure new management took over not have an iota on how to run a business. Sorry but, I wouldnt order from them ever.

I tried to place my order online an it wouldn't take. I tried on my cellphone, computer and iPod. It didn't work. I call in and the guy repeats my order back to me: small gluten free pepperoni half asiago cheese crust half butter cheese crust. I get to the store to pick up my food and the guy was nice and personable we talked laughed and I got my pizza and left. It was my first time at hungry howies and I explained I just got the mailer and wanted to try it. The guy was positive I would like it. I get halfway home and had to take a bite of my pizza, it didn't taste gluten free. I called to verify if the gf pizza was thin or a semi thin crust he says thin. Great! They served me wheat...gotta love getting sick due to others mistakes. They apologized and remade the pizza but it was already too late. I get there to pick up my new pizza again and grabbed a soda because I was dry and scratchy due to the non gf pizza. Luckily they didn't charge me for it but the boy did give me a lecture on how the gf pizza was three dollars more than what he charged me today and they would waive it today because it was their mistake but in the future I'd have to pay more. Like I rang it up or was a regular and knew the costs...foh. The pizza tasted ok but the remake didn't have flavored crust like I originally ordered

Haven't tried the pizza yet but... Best Chicken Wings I've ever had at a delivery place. Also the Calzones are out of this world. The bread they use and the way they cook everything is awesome. Will definitely be ordering again. Fast delivery and good service. In regards to a past review, whenever you order something over the phone the smart thing to do is review it again with the person on the phone and make them repeat the order that way they don't screw up nearly as often. I always do that with them and they've yet to fail on delivering the proper order. Best wishes and thanks Hungry Howies. Also if you have a nut allergy they are nut friendly!

I drove 20 minutes to pick up my online pizza order but they didn't make it. I guess they didn't feel like it . It's off of my list.

It's hard to say much about this place, as it is just pretty average. We've ordered pizza from here a couple of times. Their service is good, they deliver promptly, and the pizza is not bad. However, the pizza is also not very interesting or inspiring. It's just a little bit better than frozen pizzas you could buy from the supermarket.

My office orders from here a lot, and it is so good! Doesn't always get to us super hot, but that happens with delivery. The flavored crusts are delicious, I prefer cajun and garlic bread. Very good pizza, but not my favorite in the area.

I have been here many many times and have never had any complaints. The last time I was here it was incredibly dirty and had beetles all over the place!! Even inside! This was disgusting and just made me want to leave. This is the first pizza shop I've seen that has been infested this way.

Love this place. Best pizza around. The flavored crusts are amazing. I like ranch and wife likes the Cajun. They'll usually give you a discount if they can even without you asking. Awesome staff too.

I've been housing Hungry Howie's pizzas and wings for almost 15 years now, and although they had a small stint of bad ownership a few years back (I think), this is probably my #1 pizza delivery place in Derwood! Their flavored crusts are great--my favorite by far is the Cajun crust--but I think two other standouts are the Original wings, which are their own variety with a little bit of spice, and their 3-cheeser Howie bread, which comes in generous portions with rich melty cheeses and a side of pizza sauce. I like this place because I always know what I'm gonna get when I order from here: good consistent pizza, wings, bread, and service.

The best pizza ever. Great service, really nice owner and just everything about it is really comfortable. I really recommend the philly cheese steak pizza! Thank you HH!

Ordered the pizza sub and all it was was a 10 inch pizza folded over on itself. Didn't look cooked and mostly seemed like a frozen pizza. I won't ever order from here again.

So I ordered from this place based off other yelp'ers because I wanted to try a new pizza joint out. Not much of a fan of places like papa johns or Pizza Hut. I thought the reviews were decent and they delivered. I ordered two medium pizzas a veggie and meat lovers and a regular Greek salad. My total was $34. I was pretty alarmed by the price but assumed quality quality quality so I went with it and paid and waited. Delivery arrived promptly 45 minutes later, my guaranteed delivery time. Kudos. My Greek salad was lame. There were beets in it. Gross. And white onions. And way too many black olives. Nothing fancy. But by time I picked the things off I was eating lettuce and feta. The two medium pizzas were pretty small. The veggie pizza lacked some serious veggies. I was pretty surprised. The meat lovers has thinly sliced ham and mini Italian sausages on it. For the cost, I felt I didn't get what I paid for. I would have received more toppings at one of those chains like papa johns. The taste was average. There is nothing remarkable about either pizzas I ordered. I'll add a picture to show you all. Overall I give this place a three because the customer service was nice. They delivered on time. And the food was "decent" at best. My delivery guy was nice too. Just not super impressed with this pizza place.

We've eaten numerous times at Pizza Hut, Papa John's and Dominos and they all suck compared to Hungry Howie's. The pizza is excellent, especially if you get the butter cheese crust. The Howie Bread is also really tasty and worth getting. The wings need more sauce on them though. Overall the best pizza in the area in our opinion. For $24 we got 2 medium 1 topping pizzas, howie bread and an order of wings - more than enough for 2 days worth of food - great value, great taste, go there now!

I have been overdue in updating my review of Hungry Howie's. I boycotted the place for many months after so many bad experiences; however, I must now say that I broke down (the place is SO convenient, and few restaurants deliver to my neighborhood) and gave Howie's ANOTHER chance to salvage their reputation! I am once again extremely pleased with Howie's - for both reasons of communication and quality of product. I no longer have to try to explain to the order taker what the specials are, while knowing that he does not at all understand English; and of late the pizzas arrive quickly, are steaming hot, and very accurately made, regardless of the many complex varieties my daughter creates. Delivery guys (have yet to have met a delivery girl) are pleasant and courteous. So, to those who were turned away by my previous review, I encourage you to give them another try. I can only guess that new management is taking the pizza business seriously, and I wish them all the luck. And, I sincerely thank you for ensuring your staff speak English, and your pizza is once again delicious: You have gained me back as a loyal customer once again :) I am loving the new Philly cheesesteak pizza combo, and my daughter is enamored of the Hawaiian. Starting to get hungry just thinking about it!
