Pizza
Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.
Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.
Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Whether you prefer thin or thick crust pizza, you can find a pizza of your preference at the best pizza restaurants in your city.

This is our go-to place to get dinner when we don't want to cook. We love the Philly cheesesteak - fresh bread, nice cheese to meat ratio. The pizza is of course great too. Pineapple and ham, or sausage are the two we usually go for. A little greasy, but nothing a little napkin blotting can't fix! We always call for carry out, not sure how the inside service is.

All I ever get here is the chicken fingers and fries (which is on the kids menu) but man-oh-man is it good. First, the chicken, real chicken, is crunchy on the outside and juicy when you bite into it. The fries, which they are piled high, are perfectly hand cut and deep fried so that they're crisp on the outside but soft in the center. My friends and I go here weekly for take out and we love that they're open late!

Really good pizza, really bad service. Pizza was delivered to the table cold. Had to take it back. It was re-delivered to the table after being sent through the oven again, which I personally love (crispier pizza), but I'm sure some people don't.

Been here a bunch of times in the last 15 years. Nothing special. Prices are not that bad. Love the fried pickles. Service is a little slow but wait staff are always friendly. Normally prefer to take out

This was absolutely the worst pizza I have ever had. Don't waste your time or money. Shrimp on my pizza was still in the shell, it was greasy and tasteless. Wouldn't even feed it to my dog. Only gave it one star because I couldn't give negative or no stars.

Always tasty when it's hot. 18 inch pizzas for $15. That's pretty good. Great local feeling. This place is always busy. That's a good sign.

Never been to a mom and pop style restaurant in the US that charged me $1.75 for a glass of tap water. Food was fine, but the charge for water blew my mind.

The pizza is as New Yorkish as you can get in a small rural town in MD. therefore, I am a repeat customer.

We were at Butlers orchard and wanted some pizza afterwards, decided to go to a place that was more like a mom and pops place. Pretty decent place. The people were friendly. We ordered PIZZA FRIES, got fries with nacho cheese and pizza sauce- then we were told we ordered the wrong ones, no honey. Then we got the redo fries, only had mozzarella on it no pizza sauce. Had to go find the server to get pizza sauce then took him a few mins to bring it.. we had our pizza before the fries were done. The pizza was okay. Ive had better. The place was empty so the mistakes should have not been made.

Eh just okay. The carry out special comes with pizza, soda, and a sad looking salad. Pizza was so so. I'll stick with ledos.

I love this place. I live in germantown and used to drive down to Mama Luccia's in Fallsgrove to get good pizza, but got tired of dropping $20n a pizza. i am from Long Island, and the new york style pizza at J&P's does the trick for me. With their online coupon, a large salad, extra large pizza, and 2 liter runs about 15 bucks. You can't beat that!! J&P's is ten times better than anything else in the area.

Had a nice quiet evening in this weekend, watching some football and decided to order some Italian for take out. I called my order in, was told it would be 15 minutes. I arrived 10 minutes later, food was ready, paid, and I was out the door, barely missing any of the football game. Food was fantastic and the price was right. Recently moved to Damascus, I will be visiting this establishment more often.

Went there for my lunch break and got the Stromboli, and for 6 or 7 bucks you get this huge thing that you can eat for lunch AND dinner. It was super delicious; you get to pick what toppings you want, and I think it's unlimited. I loved it, although the sauce has space for improvement.

I've tried repeatedly to find something I like on the menu because my partner loves the calzones here, but nothing agreed with me until I tried the calamari. It's breaded and frozen, and I'm sure it comes from a warehouse somewhere in New Jersey, but it's the one thing that stays down and doesn't have me bolting for the loo. But as I said, my partner loves the calzones, so I guess it's up to individual taste. Mine says... no.

We ordered pizza to go. I ordered a pepperoni/sausage and a cheese pizza. The pizza had enough sauce and alot of cheese which I like. I saw a carryout special for 15.99 which includes an 18 inch cheese pizza, large salad and 2 liter for 15.99 so next time I may get that.

Service was fantastic. Food came out fast and was perfect. I have never had a bad experience here. The pizza is better than any chain.

Just let J&P and Have been coming here for years. Food is good but service is beyond terrible. The high school waitresses sit with their friends who are having dinner and rarely come by to provide refills or check on your order. It is hit or miss with average service or terrible. Would recommend carry out rather then dine in.

Great food. Convenient, reasonably priced, and fast. The pizza is the closest to "New York" style that you can get in Damascus. If I don't get pizza, I get a snake and cheese. They are every bit of 12", loaded however you like, and full of flavors. My wife gets the Greek chicken salad which is good also. Loaded with chicken and plenty of lettuce and veggies. Decor is a bit boring. But you don't come here for that...

Best wings in the area in my opinion. The jalapeño poppers are legit too. Kinda cool how my iPhone put the little squiggly over the n on jalapeño. Steak and cheese is amazing here. With the new alcohol law in Damascus you can now enjoy some beer and wine at J&P.

Been here with my motorcycle club ( slowRidersMC.com ) for lunch a few times and my wife and i came on a Sunday night for dinner. The food is consistently good here. Fresh tasting and truly satisfying portion sizes. The wait staff are very attentive, with nice friendly attitudes. Another indicator of a well managed business - the men's room was very clean :-)

The New York J&P Pizza in Damascus is about 1 mile from my house. I've been there dozens of times over the past few years with family and friends, and we've always had excellent food and service. The pizza is delicious - some of the best I've ever tasted! It's not so greasy and salty like the major pizza chains offer. Their subs are HUGE and almost more than the average person can finish in one sitting. The Cheese Steak sub is to die for. The entrees and salads at New York J&P Pizza are also near family-size - very, very generous portions. Great food, and a great value, too. Oh, and the young Asian girl who works there as a server is one of the best waitresses I've ever seen. So sweet, so kind, and so attentive. Her great service the past several times I've visited has been like the cherry on top!

Pasta dishes are great as well. 5 stars!

J & P's is part of a chain of stores that provides cheap, fast pseudo-Italian food. There are other locations nearby in Mt. Airy and Taylorsville, to name but two. As with all chain branches, the experience is both homogenized (same menu) but somewhat unique. The Damascus branch has a much more "homey" feel about it, more family-oriented, much less formal than the other locations. They serve pizza, subs, sandwiches, and a few dishes like lasagna and whatnot. I'd say their subs are their strongest point. Nothing is really exceptional, even compared to other places in the same town (Jerry's does better cheesesteaks, Subway offers more sub options for roughly the same price, Ledo's has Italian fare a shade better, etc.), but for a quick and reasonably cheap eat it will serve pretty well. Very popular with the high-school crowd as well, traditionally the waitstaff at this location has been all high school students. "A-OK" pretty much sums it up. Wouldn't survive in a city with stronger offerings, but does just fine where it is. I wouldn't seek it out, but wouldn't pass it up if I was hungry and walking by either.
