Great dinner and great service. I got the crab cake sandwich and my husband got the Tex-Mex Burger.

Worth going, but worth going out of your way. We had the chicken topped with crab and a fish sandwich. Both were quite good, and it was a decent value. Nothing to. Nothing to complain about, but nothing I'll rave about either. Worth a stop in.

Ever have someone in your group just not shut up. Find your meals time worth in silence as he stuffs his piehole. Or quesadillas hole or bayou burger hole or gumbo hole I was happy to find this place. Solid beer selection

We stopped in the old town area of Cumberland, MD to look for a place for a late lunch one Thursday and after walking through the downtown walk area, we found this gem of a grill. The food was good, served promptly and were adequate portions. The taco salad was nice and spicy and the fish fry sandwich turned out to be properly cooked cod. The side order of vegetables was fine too. Best of all, they knew how to mix a martini straight up with a twist of lemon! Atmosphere is bar grill but they have tables and chairs and some booths. And it's wheelchair accessible including the ladies room. How can I not it give 5 stars?

Used to be one of my favorite places to go but after the treatment I received from some angry hagered waitress I will never be back and I wouldn't recommend you go either . I do not pay you to treat me that way

I was in town on business. I enjoyed my order of crab cakes with rice and beans/ Cesar salad. Not over the top on taste but very good. Efficient staff, great beer selection. Tables outside are always nice, there is no real traffic. I will go back .

Baltimore Street Grill is my go-to place when I am in town. The service is always courteous and kind. The food is always excellent, and has a very well stocked bar, with a wide variety of beer on tap. The wine selection is also quite nice.
(5)Jason Y.
Among my favorite places to eat in Cumberland. Awesome outside dining. Good beer on tap. Very nice location downtown.
(4)Ryan C.
The place is barely wider than the front door, but they offer decent bar choices and the menu is okay. We went on a quiet lunch day and the place feels 'tight'. Stuck with a burger and it was good. Service was friendly and quick. Only a dozen tables, would hate to see this place busy.

My picky daughter loved the fried Monterrey jack cheese sticks, and I loved the mild simple cream of crab soup. We ordered both to go, and waited along the pleasant pedestrian promenade that still has a working fountain and old charm even without many open storefronts. If we stayed, we would eat at the outdoor promenade tables. Inside was mainly a long dark bar, and all bar seats were filled with men - not a place for kids. Waitresses were pleasant enough and relatively quick with our food.
(4)Megan L.
Friendly place with outdoor seating. The vegetarian options were fairly limited.
(3)Jeremy M.
We loved the monetary jack cheese sticks. The bayou burger was totally amazing. A great place to stop in old downtown Cumberland.

Fun and friendly pub with very good beer selection, accommodating staff and a Cajun flare to the menu. Great Caesar salad, tasty jambalaya (the sausage in it could use an upgrade) good sized portions. The crab cakes looked really fresh - wish I'd tried them. Nothing fancy -- hit the spot for a casual night out.

Happened upon this gem on our way from DC to Deep Creek and I am so glad we did! The service was fabulous, the restaurant was quaint and decorated for xmas, and the food was absolutely outstanding. I had the "best damn crab cake sandwich." My son had the cheeseburger and my husband had the spicy chicken sandwich. The crab cake was all crab - no filler - on a buttered grilled roll. The cheeseburger was a freshly made patty. Both made our mouths water. I have a feeling we'll stop here next time we drive past Cumberland! We all give it 2 thumbs up.
(5)Julie D.
Food is amazing! Try the jambalaya or crab cake. You'll love those - menu staples! Bread pudding is to-die-for, the best around! They have excellent wings and snack foods if you're out with friends later at night (past dinner hours) and their bar options are good too. Always a good microbrew option to be had and some great beers on tap. Always crowded, so if it's during the indoor months, and you're planning a meal, call ahead to reserve a table. Always look forward to eating outside on the mall in the warmer months. Service is great - very friendly staff! Excellent atmosphere! One of my favorite places to eat and hang out downtown!

The Baltimore Street Grille was well worth the money spent! This is a truly local establishment that cares about the quality of the food they serve and the service they provide to customers! I ate here with my mother and it was well worth the experience. We had an excellent server named Kathleen! She went above and beyond to make sure we had a wonderful time. Our food was cooked perfectly using the highest quality of ingredients. Our iced teas were made from high quality tea leaves and were delicious. I would eat here again and recommend it to others! OUTSTANDING WORK! The salad my mom had and the Chicken Alfredo and Lobster bisque were amazing. That iced tea was so good, I had many refills on it! :).

We are regulars here since we work nearby. Our favorite place to eat in town. The daily specials never disappoint.

RECOMMENDED : I have had my share of ups and downs in this establishment. They very good specials especially in the summer time when I would most recommend dining here. It is a very small place and some nights seating comes at a premium. Summer time they have outdoor seating and scenery. The food is GOOD. Sandwiches are good, fries and sides are hit and miss. The drinks and spirits are VERY GOOD. The selection is very good, if you want it I'd place a bet it's there and available. From rail to top shelf. Bartenders are very helpful and attentive. LADIES: Wednesdays are half-price bevs. The waitresses are good, busy nights they may get side-tracked but other than that, but it comes with the territory.

Great service. Cute town. Good food. Would Defiantly come back if I was in area. Stopped here because of info from yelp. Was traveling from Ohio to Delaware.

We were here on a Sat night around 6. The place was fairly busy and had a constant flow of customers. We sat at the window table which is nice and roomy compare to the other tables. We had the crab soup, crab pizza, all meat pizza and onion rings. The food was very good. The onion rings were crispy and not grease soaked. Both pizzas had a thin , tasty crust. I would definitely recommend both pizzas. Our waitress was friendly and the service was fast. Will definitely being going again.

Standard American grill. Very nice staff. Reasonable prices.

Our server told us that the original owners were from New Orleans and that the new owner kept the recipes. So we decided to take a few modest risks. We eyed the seafood gumbo, red beans and rice and jambalaya on the menu with suspicion. Very rare is the establishment outside Louisiana that can pull off even simple New Orleans cooking. I was born in Louisiana and grew up on the gulf coast, including 6 years in New Orleans. Gumbo might have been my first word, you get the picture - in short, I'm a skeptic when I see these items on a menu outside Louisiana. So I was pleasantly surprised when I took a risk on a cup of seafood gumbo - for a few reasons. First, it wasn't seafood gumbo, it was chicken and andouille sausage gumbo. The roux was medium in color, the spice was (on a NOLA scale) medium, it was a nice, decent gumbo, something I'd make at home on a Sunday. They most likely have 2 recipes in the back - seafood gumbo and chicken and andouille sausage gumbo. I can't report on the seafood version but what I had was good work. The club sandwich was "tight" - this is to describe a neatly assembled and tidy sandwich with good quality meat. The pickle was weird - I forgive them. Tea was house brewed, and the refills were well timed. bowtie pasta and Alfredo sauce served to my 3 year old / not from a can/ jar (bravo) Chunky little bits of Parmesan and a nice blend of black pepper and parsley - a well sauced pasta. Pasta was al dente. The other NOLA staple we tried was house made bread pudding in a bourbon sauce. It was excellent - consistent texture, slight nice crisp on the bottom, and drenched in a sauce that tasted like exactly three things: bourbon, butter, and sugar. You get this sort of thing in the best and worst places in NOLA because everyone does a decent version of it - the result? Reminded me of home. Good prices, good food - eat here on a road trip between Pittsburgh and Baltimore; it's roughly half way and will help you forget the road. Bravo, we'll be back to try it again. Please, please stick to the recipes and don't let them slide.

We stopped by Baltimore Street Grill for two reasons: we were hungry, and the restaurant had a good rating on Yelp. We ordered appetizers, catfish strips and Oysters Gino. Both were delicious, but each time food was delivered the waitress basically dropped it on the table and vanished without a word. We had to go to the bar for drink refills (waitress was outside the restaurant doing??). She was simply not attentive and we felt like we were interfering with her schedule by being there. We left after our appetizers and went to The Crabby Pig, just a short walk away, and had a great experience there.

Well went here by a recommendation. Got burger and fries. Burger was nothin to write home about, very bland and not juicy at all. One time and done for me.

Ambiance/Decor: 3/5 Ample seating both indoors and out; bar seating; booths; wall tables. Pictures and whatnot hanging about, maybe three TVs with sports channels, lots of mirrors... Kitchen: 3/5 Had two burgers. Both were cooked right, good fries, good flavor. Furthermore, they were pretty inexpensive at around seven bucks each with the additional cost of the fries included. Service: 5/5 Giving props here: our waiter was excellent. He was kind, courteous, attentive, polite, and took care of us. He even asked us if we wanted BBQ or ranch with our fries... yes, yes I do. And I was going to ask you for it but I didn't have to. The busser had our waters filled regularly.

Lemme set the scene: 12 hours of Old National 40 Eastbound behind me and Ohio far in my rear-view I pull into Cumberland, MD hoping I can keep the tsunami of adventure ripping forward and leaving death and destruction in my wake. I don't want to fizzle out but I'm close; I look around the beautiful scenery, the Dockers clad automatons, the tiny Utopia, and I think I'm at the end of my adventure. I pull up my Yelp app, find this place, and roll the dice. I immediately label this the "hip" spot in town: sleek lines, weak tap selection, interesting menu with a nice price tag. I order a Yuengling to wash the cigar taste out of my mouth and raze the place with my eyes. They have a great liquor selection, a serious liquor selection to be exact. I instantly label it a douchy martini bar even though no one is ordering mixed drinks. I listen in on peoples conversations to get a feel and my ears start to perk up. I hear awesome conversation all around me, in fact, most everyone seems to know everyone else. And, atop that, the bartender and the gentleman sitting next to me are talking about Misfits vinyl albums. Wha wha what? Boy am I a judgmental douche bag! I get into a conversation with the guy, we talk for awhile while I scarf down some pretty boss jambalaya and oysters gino, and I pretty much decide this place is worth a trip back to from old Baltimore when road trip fever hits again! I met some cools dudes with great taste, I was really pleased with the company I found and the food was just awesome. Thanks for reading my uneventful story: -Fast service, though the bar is undermanned. -A HUGE selection of liquor, most notably vodkas. -Pretty good rum selection. -It's a pretty attractive place, I wouldn't throw it out of bed. -Really good food. -Cumberland is beautiful. -Every person I talked to was really cool.

Atmosphere is downtown Cumberland spot-on, with kind service, a variety of beers on tap, and specialty burgers.

The food was ok. The place is the most crowded on the outside walking part of Baltimore Ave. we got Jalapeño poppers which were exactly as you would expect and hit the spot. They had some nice local beers on tap which was great and a margarita special on Monday night. I had the crab cake sandwich (the waitress said it was their specialty) and it was very greasy. The Cajun food we ordered that was supposed to be another specialty was ok but bland.

One of my favorites! The Jazzy wings are the best
(5)Jason L.
Cheap & good bar food, great service, and busy.

I went there for the wings (for $.35/wing but were $.40/wing when I got there). They were fried way too hard; i like crispy wings but these wings were hard. I also ordered a crab cake sandwich ( advertised as jumbo lump); when the sandwich came out it was a small Phillip's (back fin) crab cake that you can get in the freezer section of the grocery store. It was riddled with shells. The soft drinks were not mixed well. I ordered a Sierra Mist and it taste like seltzer water, so then I order a Pepsi and it was the same. I just paid my bill, and promised myself to never go back. I'm really disappointed; I thought I had finally I had found a place that I could go to regularly. I decided to go here because of the pictures on yelp (that actually showed a jumbo lump crab cake sandwich)

We sat at the bar. Great bartender, with a sense of humor and good suggestions. Among them were the chicken wings. We got the old bay spice flavor. Pretty good. The crab meat sandwich was surprisingly delish. Nice fresh crab flavor. The bun was a throwaway though. Good selection of draft beers.

As far as we are concerned, the place to go for dinner in Cumberland. My wife and I stopped there when doing the Western Maryland Scenic Railroad. Service was prompt and very friendly. As non-locals, we were made to feel welcome. Highly recommend their pizzas, which were a pleasant surprise to find. The chicken pesto pizza is outstanding. They also have several beers on tap to try. If you like darker beers, I would try the Penn Dark, which is very smooth and has a moderate, not ultra high ABV %. Finally, the prices are very affordable. My wife and I enjoyed the fact that beers were way less expensive there than what we see in DC, Maryland, and Virginia. This is defiintely a go-to for meals whether you are staying in Cumberland or on the way to the ski resorts and Omni Bedford Springs resort in PA. A great local business to support. Finally, if visiting during late November/December, you get a great view of the large Downtown Cumberland Christmas Tree -- which is a very colorful site to see.

Great and friendly staff. Very quick service. I had the Crab Cake Sandwich. It was very good. We sat outside in front. Great experience.

Cute little place with outside seating in the downtown walking area of Cumberland. I was driving to Virginia and stopped in Cumberland for the night as a half way point. When I got in town I was starving and by the time I got checked into the hotel and out on the street it was almost 10 and there were very few options. I walked around and saw this place and it was hoppin. I sat down and the server said the kitchen closed in 5 minutes. I glanced at the menu and saw several things that looked good. If I had more time I would have tried a few things but I went simple (I was tired and didn't want to make the kitchen staff mad. I got the smothered burger). It was very good and I would go again if I am in the area.

3.75 stars. We watched the bullshit travesty that was the US loss to Ghana for the 2010 World Cup at Baltimore Street Grill. Luckily, Rob and Mike were behind the bar, providing good game commentary and expertly mixed margaritas to ease the agonizing defeat. Anxiously spooning an overly cheesed crab spread onto buttery Texas toast points, we agonized over missed goal opportunities, and subsequently called for two orders of Monterey Jack sticks with spicy dipping sauce, hoping their smooth gooeyness would quell the misery of impending loss. Clearly we survived the afternoon, though I can only attribute our current state of well-being to the extra margarita on the rocks we imbibed.

I usually come here for lunch early because it gets very busy right at lunch and then again for dinner. I think their crab cake is pretty decent and the rest of the menu is pretty large with enough items to please everyone. My mom loves their cream of crab soup and the crab pizza. What I really appreciate about this place is that is usually has some kind of crawfish/creole dishes on special. I had the etouffee which was good and made me happy since cajun food is hard to come by in western MD. The service is fine. I wouldn't call it friendly when they are busy but I've never had service so bad it would stop me from coming. One thing I appreciated about the place was they let us drunks use their bathroom while watching the ball drop for New Year's. I highly recommend this place but just try o get there at the right time. Even if it's empty they still reserve tables to don't take emptiness as a sign that there's tables!

This is a great spot to visit in the Cumberland pedestrian mall area in the heart of their supercute downtown. I went there with my girlfriend while we were in town on a cycling tour. On Thursday nights, you can get chicken wings for 35 cents each and pints of beer for $1.75. We had 3 beers and some wings and paid less than $10. Service was a little slow because the place was so hopping, but the wings -- ours were spiced with Old Bay -- were terrific, as was the beer.
(4)Jeff C.
Classic neighborhood bar, painted tin ceiling, Christmas tree in the corner, three tv's on different sports channels, with an excellent selection on tap. I had an extra special bitter with a hot ham and cheese (very generous helping of ham), chips and a big dill pickle. Partner had a club steak sandwich and onion rings. All tasty, served quick by very friendly staff. Right on the pedestrian mall in scenic downtown Cumberland, Maryland, an excellent stopping point halfway between DC and Pittsburgh.

Awesome wings, at an awesome price! This place is the ultimate small-town pub. It was definitely busy particularly for a weeknight. We ended up here when the place we wanted to go had closed their kitchen. And boy are we glad we found this gem! $.035 wings on Thursday nights and $1.75 beers!!!! That's an AMAZING deal. And the wings are soooo good. I had the jazzy sauce and my husband had the hot wings. Both were amazing- though we both agreed the jazzy was the best. Super cute ambience, particularly when decorated for the holidays. The wings had so much meat on them, and had tons of sauce- just the way I like it! Awesome place that you cannot miss when passing through Cumberland. Excellent service. Best pub food I've had in years!!!
