I wanted to participate in the all you can eat crab and corn, but just got a dozen large males for carry out along with three corn and a couple mallets. It took about 15-20 minutes to get them steamed, and came out to a bit over $50. Medium seasoned with Old Bay, they were very well placed on a box with foil so car didn't get soiled. Half of the crabs were fat and the other were a bit on the light side. All in all, still very good!

Very disappointed. Have had okay service in the past, but this time our crabs arrived late and I have emailed the company 3 times with no response. Half the crabs were inedible and to have no response is very disheartening. Will not use use this company in the future.

Not sure why all of the bad reviews about this place. But it does seem most of them are orders that were shipped. Came here with 6 adults and 2 children. You order at the counter in another room and pay. Then they bring it out to you. The ayce crabs were only 30.00 and came with corn on the cob too. They were mediums and had plenty of meat. Others at the table had crab cake sandwiches and soft shelled crab sandwiches. Also a dozen large crabs. We were all pleased with our meals and would return.

Ordered crab meat and paid extra for overnight delivery to the West Coast. Package arrived three days late -- three days after the promised delivery date. The contents were so badly spoiled that the shipping package smelled even before it was opened, which we didn't do. Just threw it in the trash. Customer service was no help at all. No crab, no refund. If that's the kind of result you want, go right ahead, but there are other blue crab shippers and none of them can possibly be as bad as Linton Seafood. Avoid it like the plague.

I would give them a zero if I could. In their world customer is never right. They have been in the business way too long to be willing to keep their customers happy. Ordered fresh oysters from Linton's on 2/25, paid $19.95 for Next Day Ground shipping, and in the Desired Delivery date field wrote 2/27/15. I put my office as a delivery address so that I will ensure having them on a safe and cold place after being delivered. The order didn't get shipped until 2/27 in the afternoon, with delivery date of Saturday, 2/28 when the office was closed. Immediately called them to tell them about the issue, and some lady told me that they weren't able to ship anything on 2/26 because they had a snow storm(which nobody tried to get in touch with me about), and told me they will get back to me. Nobody did, so I kept calling in the following days and couldn't get a hold of them until Tuesday, 3/3/15. In the meantime, oysters weren't out for re-delivery on Monday, 3/2 and another attempt for delivery was finally made on 3/3/15 in the afternoon. At that point they were out in the mail for way too long to be safe to eat (Friday, Saturday, Sunday, Monday and half day Tuesday) so I rejected them. When a gentleman named Harvey called me on that Tuesday, he tried to assure me that he's been in the business for 40 years now and that those oysters are safe to eat, but wouldn't put in writing. They rejected the return, don't respond to my calls and to my emails and wouldn't give me my money back.

I guess it comes down to product and timing because we could not be any more pleased with our experience with Linton's. Ordered a half bushel of jumbo blue crab and WOW!!! Knocked all of our socks off. Fat juicy fresh crabs, perfectly steamed, seasoned, and packed...and on our door step by 11a the next day. Also...there are tons of places to order seafood - I would worry about having my "call answered in the order in which it was received". Not so with Linton's. From my initial order, to verifying that I had entered all delivery information and fees correctly, and then right down to my thank you call - I received a actual person. Thank you, Linton's. We will order again.!!

I ordered 3lbs of their JUMBO LUMP CRABMEAT and noted that they typically ship Fed Ex 2 day delivery. That seemed a little odd, but I didn't give it a second thought. They must know what they are doing. I received 3 plastic containers that appeared to be Back Fin lump crab and not JUMBO LUMP, a lesser grade. I opened one of the containers and the crabmeat smelled like auto fumes and tasted oily...is the best way I can describe it. I opened the 2nd container and was blown away by the awful dead fish smell. I have no doubt whatsoever that If at it I would surely wind up in a Emergency Room with food poison. I sent LINTON THREE EMAILS asking for only a two thirds credit and received NO REPLY. I called TWICE and got no return phone call. Linton's is a poor excuse for an on line seafood company. You should STAY AWAY from LINTON SEAFOOD. I can all but guarantee that you'll be better off for it. However, I would WHOLEHEARTEDLY RECOMMEND HARBOUR HOUSE CRABS @ 888-458-8272. This company is the real deal!! Great, safe, beautifully packaged and first rate product. Large chunks of fluffy white crabmeat. Even sweet!!

Placed an order for 10 pounds of Crab Legs for a birthday gift... ordered on 9/16... to be delivered 9/22- the birthday..... on 9/22--- no delivery- phoned the company and after being passed around to 3 different men, was told I would not receive on tuesday since Fedex is not open on Sunday and I had paid for 2 day delivery. So, the delivery would be made on 9/22... GUESS WHAT? it's 9/22 and NO DELIVERY. In fact received email from Fedex that order JUST WENT OUT ON 9/22 and won't be delivered until 9/24. So much for paying for expedited delivery... doesn't happen. Cant say if they're worth the money yet because I HAVENT RECEIVED THEM!!!

I ordered a dozen jumbo steamed crabs and 5 lbs of stone crabs shipped to California. Crabs were more medium to large size and they packaged them so cheaply that the legs punctured holes in the bags the ice packs were defrosted and the box smelled so bad I couldn't tell if it was just the steamed crab or the stone crabs too. It all went in the garbage. Lesson learned $200 bucks down the drain.

If I had completed this review the first day after the first annual crab fest at my house, it would been a wonderful review. Luckily, I got distracted. I had read some of the other reviews talking about bad shipping and worse packaging, that's not what I encountered. The shipping company called before the delivery and the package itself was a thing of beauty. Tightly wrapped and cold with the crabs neatly stacked in perfect order. While I really don't believe that these crabs were colossal heavy weights like I ordered and paid for, we all had a great time and the crabs were wonderful. That is, until the following day. So, with the styrofoam cooler packed with ice, we decided to pick the remaning crabs for crab cakes the next day. Thats when there was trouble. Turns out, only the top 2 or 3 dozen were beautiful and perfect. As we chipped away at the remaining 2 dozen and a half or so, it was clear that many of these crabs were cooked after they were dead. You can always tell as soon as you open the crab and it's gray and mushy. In addition, there were so, so many with crushed in shells. And trust me, these crabs weren't heavy enough to have been crushed by the weight of the crabs on top. Nope, these guys were deliberetly hidden at the bottom. Smooth move Lintons! Sell jumbo crabs as colossal heavy weights and then hide the dead crushed ones at the bottom! You may have gotten a great sale out of me ($500.00 or $600.00!) but you've lost me as a customer. It's back to the other crab place!

Maybe their online business isn't so great based on the other reviews, but in person this place is exactly what I want from a crab house, decent prices, well steamed and seasoned colossal MD crabs, friendly service and an air conditioned area. 2 dozen steamers, and 3 colossal crabs plus one piece of peanut butter Crisfield cake and some Yuenglings made for a great afternoon respite for 2.

We've ordered from here a few times and this time was by far the best. I'm from Maryland and live in Arizona. I ordered 1/2 bushel large and they were great, full of meat!

I ordered thru our catering company fresh soft shell crabs and stone claw crabs. Both equally fresh and delicious. Our Lake Geneva waterfront clientele waited at the magical stove to get the shoft shell crabs fresh from the pan as they were being finished with white wine and capers!

Made an internet purchase from two places in order to compare. Quite disappointed in this place . The packing was not good. The ice packs had completely melted. Although the other company I ordered more crabs and the ice packs were still frozen. Both orders were placed same day, same time. I ordered the same seasonings for both. This place you need to take a water pill before you eat these crabs because the SALT is killer :( I tried one crab from each company. These were mushy and salty. The weight on them were super light. Then ....THEN... there was one that was SOOO green I thought it was an uncooked one that accidentally got in the box. Guess it was that sludge cover I'd heard others speak of! :/ (oh no). Don't think I will be ordering from this internet service again :(

Crab balls! Same place as my other review for Linton's (kind of a roadside seafood market/crab deck joint) -My review: Hot crab, cold beer and smith island cake! This lil' divey joint has a great selection of sea food to carry-out or you can rest your legs and mind with a colbeer and a order of crab balls (crab cake in ball form) in their screened in crab deck (filled with tacky eastern shore deco) and chow down right there. We did both... got an order of crab balls, couple colbeers on-deck and some steamed skrimps and Smith Island Cake to-go!

This mom and pop joint is popular with locals and campers from Janes Island State Park, as it is right outside the park. We came here recently to get a dozen of their steamed crabs (medium) seasoned with Old Bay for about $24.99. They were so fresh and delicious. Other fresh and frozen seafood were also available. We also tried their Smith Island cake as this was supposed to be a popular local dessert. It was just meh for me. It was nice of the owner to offer me another slice as the one I had gotten was kinda small.

If I could give it 0 stars I would. Black sludge and spots on crab legs. So salty they were inedible. Flesh of stone crab claws stuck to inside of shells so almost impossible to extract meat. Complained and totally ignored. Had been a regular online customer spending $300+ each time. No more. Seafood quality is not what is was, not even close and they don't give a damn. Will never buy from them again.

This is by far the worst business I've dealt with online. They may be great up close and personal, but for online orders, the product they deliver is not even close to what they advertise on their website. On top that if, you are an unsatified customer, you will be ignored. Not cool.

I can't speak to the quality of their seafood because I never received my order. I spent several hundred dollars ordering hard shell crabs for a Labor Day party and when I didn't receive my shipping confirmation, I called. They found my order in the system but not what happened to it or if it was ever shipped out. They said they'd figure out what was going on and call me back. They didn't call me back. I called an hour later and was put on hold for 30 minutes. Gave up, called back, and was put on hold for another 30 minutes. Gave up again, called back again, and guess what ... was put on hold for another 30 minutes. When I called back a fourth time I was told that my name and number would be walked over to the internet department and I would receive a call in 15 minutes. I never received a call and I never received any of the crabs I ordered. So now I'm working on getting my money back. An absolute run around. If this place hadn't been recommended by my local seafood shop I would have thought it was some sort of internet scam.
