Very, very put off by our "server". She was the rudest person I've come across in years. Absolutely a miserable person. In the morning, I had decent service and crabcake was pretty good. But after a wonderful evening out, we stopped in and was subjected to ridiculous service. Our "server" who was the whole rotten experience, was a middle aged, blondish woman who reminded me of SNL Target lady, minus the friendliness. She absolutely should be fired. It's obvious that she hates her job, hates people and hates everything

I held a rehearsal dinner at the Waterside Restaurant on 08/2014. The location was lovely, overlooking the water from all the windows and on the outside patio. We chose a BBQ menu to keep this meal casual and everything associated with it was delicious! My contact was Bebe Miller and she was extremely helpful in planning this event from the first visit to the end. I highly recommend the Waterside Restaurant for a rehearsal dinner or even a lakeside wedding ceremony.

I've only frequented the restaurant as a Sheraton guest (buffet breakfast)--unless you count hotel room service. Overall, very courteous staff, okay food and nice proximal ambience to the fake lake. The major draw is cost to quality ratio--the food is far overpriced. Otherwise, nothing to complain about.

First, be warned that they no longer have their Sunday brunch. So, since it was after 12, we had lunch. The wait staff was extraordinarily slow and missed one of our orders. The food was average at best. Good views, and maybe the place is better for dinner, but we're not going to find out.

They over-billed my credit card. I left no additional tip because it was already was included in the bill, since my party was more than 5. Total bill was $18.92. Bank was charged $22.50 Moreover, the service sucked. The food was extremely slow to come out. The waitress disappeared. My chicken breast was nearly burned (thick, toughened nearly black exterior)

10 minutes to be seated. Was passed by 4-5 waitress to later be told to sit anywhere. Only 4 person table available was very dirty with Mac and Cheese in whole chucks still on the table. 10 minutes later we get menus. 20 mins to get order taken. 50 minutes till appetizers were served. Calamari was cool. Maryland crab was canned vegetable soup with 3 pieces of crab. Wasn't MD crab....seemed like fish. Another 1/2 hour till entrees came. Crab cake was flavorless. I am pretty sure it was made from snow crabs, not Blue Crabs. Salmon was tough dry and tasted vaguely like Salmon. Shrimp and grits...old tasting sausage, grits were good. Shrimp was so bad we could only eat 3 of the four. Poor service all around to boot. Average of 8 tables being served while we were there. 4 waitress.

One of the worst dining experiences I've ever had! If I could give zero stars, I would. Terrible food, even worse service! My family took me there for Fathers Day. We were seated right away but waited at least 10 minutes before finally asking if we could get menus. A long wait followed before our orders were taken, and then another half hour before we started asking where our food was. When it finally arrived, the toast was untoasted bread, the ice-cold Belgian waffle did not have any toppings as ordered, the omelettes were dripping with juice from canned artichokes, the poached eggs were way overcooked, and they screwed another order up completely. When I expressed my displeasure with the manager, he could only rationalize that they were understaffed. How can a restaurant be understaffed on Fathers Day??? On our way out, we passed another table whose patrons had left, but the food had hardly been touched. A nightmare from start to finish! Will never go back!!

Romantic dining in Columbia with coupons to boot. My wife and I have been here twice and thoroughly enjoyed a relaxing evening by the lake. Food - The food here is average - nothing to write home about, but definitely worth Yelping about. Both times, my wife ordered the seafood pasta ($25), and both times she was pleased. The sauce isn't anything special but the shrimp, crab meat, mussels, and calamari are plentiful and plump. I had the pork tenderloin ($23) - way too salty, and the Herbed Filet Mignon ($31) - decent size, decent sides. For appetizers, the cajun seared ahi tuna ($10) was fantastic while the mussels in herb broth ($10) were ok. I've heard great things about the brunch but haven't made it out there yet. Location - Captain Obvious here again to tell you that this restaurant is located near the water. It actually affords a much better view of the lake then Sushi Sono does and the interior is minimalistic. It's located in the basement of the Columbia Sheraton, which has a free parking garage with plenty of spaces. Service - Attentive and friendly both times we went, even though they knew we were using a coupon. Money Saving Tip: Go to restaurant.com/microsite… $25 gift certificate for $10 (off of a minimum $35 purchase, which isn't too hard if you get two dishes), for a $15 savings. Again, check slickdeals for when those certificates become $3, which essentially is a B1G1 deal. Note: savings not available for Sunday brunch.
