Poor customer service.. Poor attitude. The owner misunderstood what I ordered and gave me something else. After getting the food, I said that it wasn't what I asked for. Rather than apologize for the misunderstanding, he insisted that's what I ordered. Since it was food that I don't eat, I know that's not what I requested. I threw the food away and went somewhere else.

The mambo sauce and wings are good, the cheese steak wasn't edible to me, but it looked good. I love that they are open late, but hate that they don't deliver because riffraff hangout right outside and beg for money or just stare at you. If it were late and I was hungry I would return

This place isn't THAT great but it's not THAT bad either. Yeah, their cheesesteaks are a little skimp but the flavors are still there and the wings are pretty tasty! At least for me. Maybe I came at a good day, I'm not sure. As you walk in, it's literally the counter right in front of you and some space equal to a typical office cubical. They have a pretty large menu considering the size of the carry-out. It is really small and if you're big like me, it's REALLY small. So I went in and asked the Half Korean guy that owns the place what he would recommend. He said "Ehsons Special" which comes with a 6 inch Cheese Steak Sub with everything including hots and 5 Mambo Sauced Wings. Only 10 bucks even? Sure! As I wait, I take a few pics and post them up on Yelp. Then soon after, I get my order. I stop by 2 other places before heading home and I tried out their sub first. Like I said before, it doesn't have a lot of meat and toppings but I still enjoyed the flavor of the sub. It tasted like a Cheesesteak Sub with hots. I already told you about the wings. They were tasty! A bit soggy but that's because I waited a while before trying them. When I ordered, I saw the cook wash his hands right in front of me. Thoroughly. Which was great lol. Overall, I like this place.

I mean let's get real here. What is there not to like about " Simmie's" Simmie has been around for so long. Yes, sometimes when coming here it is a hit and a miss depending on the cook. But simmie is so nice and the food is good especially on the late night!! (drunk) I would definitely come here over McDonalds or taco bell. Yum, The mambo sauce is so good. especially with fries ( salt, peper, ketchup, mambo sauce all over) It's a hit! It's a good little carry-out spot that all the local's go to. Eshon special!!! YESS comes with wings an a sub add the FRIES mambo sauce ALL OVER!!! Good late night spot!

Great late night food spot and decently priced. Their steamed bun is only offered in the winter but it is definitely worth the try. No seating spot just a take out. Probably a local gem for Columbians

If you want something to eat, and dont wanna complain. Food is okay, prices are great. Wish they had more carryouts around the area. owner is very nice person to talk to

Don't do it!!!! Wings are dry with a teaspoon of sauce on them and the cheese steaks have absolutely no steak. It s really a lettuce and cheese sandwich.i tried it twice thinking maybe I caught them on a bad late night , went back same recipe .....,, trash !

Dont get it. Couple friends of mine told me this place was AMAZING, totally is not. Their specialty is suppose to be their "mambo wings" or mambo sauce drenched anything and it totally wasnt great. Cheesesteak, totally forgettable. Mambo wings, blah. Go to Royal Pizza for cheesesteaks and wings. 10x better!

Convenient, quick, cheap, and good. I have eaten their cheese steaks, could use more meat, but fills you up and its good. I like to order it w/ hots and provolone cheese, consistently good each time. Also tried the wings, hot and mombo style. Hot is better than mombo, the wings are breaded, really crispy. Fries are crinkle cut, crispy on the outside and seasoned just enough.

satisfies the late night drunk munchies

I just moved to the area and found this place in a totally boring, brown, non-descript office park next to the hospital. If you're in the mood for greasy, yummy cheesesteaks or wings, then this is a great place. The wings are the crispy kind where they are fried first with the sauce put on after - which I like. They are also big on the Mombo sauce and offer it on their cheesesteaks and wings. They have various other subs and other appetizer type foods like cheese sticks, chicken nuggets, onion rings etc. I enjoy the Ehson's special which includes a 6" cheesesteak and 5 wings for about $8. The store itself fits the office park with being nothing to look at. There's no tables so it's a strictly take out joint. Simmie's is good for a cheap, no frills cheesesteak or wing craving and I'll be back when I'm in that mood!

First of all anyone from the PG or DC area knows full well that is not mambo sauce so they really need to stop perpetrating even though they want to pass it off as such. I'm a former PG resident born and raised, that sauce is nothing but barbecue sauce. It's definitely not mambo. The steak and cheese is okay but they could be a little more generous with the meat. As for the wings, I ordered them fried with "fake mambo" on the side. The wings were a little bland and needed some salt or some kind of seasoning to help them. Overall, it's fresh, it's open really late, and it's cheap. customer service is also good. Columbia doesn't have too many late night options so this is an ok/ "aight" option.

Food was OK. Nothing special at all and the cheesesteaks barely had any steak in it. Taste was non exciting and i would not spend my money here..

If you are looking for a quick carry-out, with great prices, Simmie's never fails to please. Though not elegant or fancy, Simmie's delivers good-tasting food and has a broad selection of menu offerings for a tiny shop. Though I can't remember the name of the dish, my favorite is a fried rice dish with kimchee--it's delish! The Italian cold cut sub is good, and the chef salad is humongous. For good, basic grub on those nights that you just don't feel like cooking and the budget is tight--Simmie's is your go-to place.

Most people that I know stop by here for the wing combo with mambo sauce, which is savory and delicious! It's the only thing I order from here as well. There's no sit-in dining since it's a carry-out, but the place is still hidden gold when it comes to the chicken and mambo.

Ate a cheese steak from Simmie's ~45 minutes ago. I do not recommend it. The guy at the corner is always the same guy but it seems like there's always a different cook. This is the 3rd time I've given this place a chance over the 'WaWa' next door in the past 2 months and each time has turned out to be a mistake. Time 1: their wings were meh; no hot sauce to speak of and they gave a chintzy amount of too-runny blue cheese to eat 6 wings with. I asked for more: each little blue cheese thingie was more than a dollar more, and it was not blue cheese. They gave me a runny, fake artificial blue cheese substitute of some kind . Time 2: kimchi stirfry. This was actually good, if salty and with too much rice, but it was overpriced for what I got and they definitely used (too much) soy sauce. I couldn't taste a fish sauce at all. If it was in there the soy sauce totally overpowered it. Time 3 (tonight): I ask for a Mombo Cheesesteak, 'hold the mombo sauce'. I ask for it Philly-style instead, and I ask for onions. My cheesesteak (a dollar per inch of cheesesteak) comes with not alot of cheese in it; they put cheese over 'the border of' the open face of the sandwich, which means there is no cheese in the actual interior. Perhaps they did that to try and disguise the lack of onions: 3 tiny little flecks of onion mixed into the beef. It looked to be about 1/2 of a 1/2 of a 1/2 teaspoon of onions. A place with "Cheese Steaks" in its name should know how do to a prototypical Philly. They don't. With the Korean 'specials' added to the menu only in the past 2/3 months or so, they are trying new things, but the American food there is overpriced. You shouldn't expect peppers at a place like this when you ask for a cheesesteak Philly style (or maybe you should, since they do have "Cheesesteaks" in their restaurant name) but I specifically did ask for onions, and when I looked at the change they gave me I discovered they even charged me about 40 cents extra for onions. I was the only customer there and it's quiet enough that the counter-man can definitely hear what you say, and he definitely charged more than the regular sandwich cost, so there's no excuse for this. In conclusion, if you eat late at night like I do because you work late and you require actual nutrition at a fair price, go next door to the 24-hour 'WaWa' sandwich counter (it's not a WaWa anymore but it used to be). This place is handicapped accessible.

Good food and service but I think the food portions have gone down since the high Columbia taxes for retail space.

tired? hungry? broke? Its 2am... your options in west columbia are limited but fortunately this place is open late. Don't let the plain brown exterior fool you... its fast and convenient comfort food. If you really are having an off week there is the store's stuffed korean style hot bread 95 cents. Also if you really not in the mood for a sub or wings they will do nice spicy kimchi stirfry with beef or chicken for about $7.
