Good pizza. If you do takeout and ask for rolls, check them before you leave. They like to put the old rolls (hard as baseballs) up front for takeout orders.

Some other reviews (not yelp) said the pizza was really good at bertucci's so we went there and asked what was the most popular pizza. The waitress said the ultimate bertucci is good (each quarter of the pizza has a different topping either sausage, meat balls, ham, or chicken) so we ordered that and we were not disappointed. Of the three meat toppings I would say the sausage ranked the best and the meat balls probably came in at the bottom but still decent. The service was quite good. They also serve very tender rolls (almost the best rolls were it not for the lone star steakhouse in Tustin, CA which has similar rolls but with a sweet glaze. The lone star steakhouse in Columbia may or may not serve the same rolls, we went there for lunch once and they served some dark rolls that were mediocre.)

sorry guys i went to a awesome snadwidch place in baltimore but i forgot the name. so in meantime, here is a franchise pizza place near columbia, my hometown. good pizza. tonight i found out they are also kid friendly. my friend's little one displayed a tantrum by screaming his toungue out several octave. and several times. but people around did not seem to mind much. my vote to good pizza and kid friendly patrons and restraurant.

Note: Bertucci's has updated their menu and added many more options U also have the choice to get multigrain pasta Great Italian chain restaurant. Server was excellent and our meal was extremely tasty. My wife had the Chicken Tortelini, which she liked a lot I had the Balsamic chicken which was tasty although the string beans were too bland. Definitely a go to spot in Columbia

Mmm so I have to say I am going to have to try this place again. It was clear during lunch that this place gets busy... SO I can say that is a good indicator that the food must be somewhat good. I tried the chicken piccatio, which was quite good.... BUT, I dont know if it the best thing Bertuccis has to offer. Next time Im going for the pizza, apparently that is what they are known for??

I didn't have high expectations for Bertucci's but it turned out to be pretty good. I had the baked ziti and my coworkers had specialty pizzas. The bread that was brought out was pretty good as well and we all shared salad.

This was my first time at Bertucci's, believe it or not. We needed a place to eat and happened to be riding by, so we dropped in. We had the Moscato sangria (good, but a bit too much triple sec), then had the "shared salad" which was big enough for the three of us to share. We also had the grilled shrimp appetizer which comes with baked polenta and pickled red onions (all at least mediocre). We ended up with the margarita pizza which is somehow both the most predictable and interesting choice. Our server was Jessica...she was great. I'd give her 5 stars actually. Very attentive and a straight-shooter when it comes to the menu. She was also wearing a witch's hat, but I'll assume for present purposes that that had something to do with Halloween... The restaurant itself is typical of a chain that centers around brick oven pizza...which is to say, there is a prominently placed brick oven. On the way out, you'll notice the complete lack of mints. I don't know what's up with that.

Yumm shrimp valanizia was amazing. So amazing we ordered it to go a few weeks later for Sunday football day. The table was dirty, but the service was great. My fiance is a guy who likes to try different beers and our server knew her beers very well.

We've visited 3 times and each time the pizza, soup, salad, and dessert has all been very good however the service is problematic here. On the first trip the soup and salad went without soup for 25 minutes though 3 employees told us they'd go get it. Finally the manager brought it. On the second trip a waiter ran over a little girl, knocked her to the ground, she cried, and he did not even stop to say he was sorry. On the third trip we were told by 3 people, including a manager, that they'd bring a coffee refill. It finally happened long after we finished the pizza. Each of the two times we had a problem the waitress and manager told us how sorry they were and gave us a gift card for an appetizer or dessert on our next visit. We'd prefer they keep the cards and solve their problems. We noticed 2 others being given this card due to bad service on our most recent trip. We will continue to go for the food and when the service is subpar the tip will be too and we'll just continue to document our experiences.

I love their pizza dough and rolls. I love that they have free salad with your meal at lunch. The service is always great. Everything I've had there is very good. Big fan of the roasted vegetable appetizer, it's nice to have a healthy option. The hot rolls with olive oil and spices are evil, I could just eat that with some wine and that could be my dinner. Kids love the pizza, the crust is soft and cooked in the brick oven, very good. Will continue to go there.

Bertucci's offers a nice selection of salads, pizzas, pastas and sandwiches. The bread is warm and soft with a nice crusty exterior...makes a base for their yummy sandwiches. The lunch menu is great since it offers the basics in a more reasonable lunch portion. This location is clean and well laid out. The service is nice and efficient. Overall, a nice Italian style restaurant with good lunch menu.

I ordered online and prepaid 45 minutes in advance of my scheduled pick-up. When I arrived, the food was not ready so I waited. While waiting, I saw other customers arrive, pay for their take out food and leave. Which begs the question, why was my order not ready? I waited 15 minutes before I finally received my order. When I arrived home, I was shocked at the lack of quality of the food itself. Although I paid for a dinner size portion, the salmon was lunch size, dry and unpalatable. The chicken marsala had no marsala sauce and was simply grilled chicken. I have to say I will never order from the restaurant again. Clearly they are not motivated to provide consistent quality service.

We were seated by bathroom with a horrible stench every time someone went in or out! They need to install a door between dining area and bathrooms. They smelled like an I 95 rest area. The manager was accommodating and moved us right away but it ruined our meal. The waiter kept giving excuses why the kitchen was behind overall not a good experience. Maybe we will try carry out next time.

A nice italian restaurant. They have a bar area and regular dining seating as well. There are a couple TV's located in the restaurant. Their fresh baked rolls are delicious!!! Their pizza is also very good. They have a large menu with a lot of options, and they have daily/weekly specials as well. I had the same server both times I went and I can't remember his name but he was very pleasant and took great care of me. This particular location is also nice and clean. I would definitely recommend it as a good italian restaurant to go to.

Bertucci's is my favorite chain restaurant. I've been to the location in Columbia and the one in Annapolis. Both have had good food and friendly service. The Bertucci's in Columbia has been in business for probably twenty years-- how many fine restaurants can say that? Go there for a fresh salad, delicious hot rolls, really tasty pizza, and other good dishes baked in the wood oven. Take your kids there for a big, group dinner. Not all chains are bad.

Great selection of food for a good price. I got the eggplant panini it was a good deal for 8.79 (though it did make me sick later). The bread rolls they serve are to die for! They are super soft and you can tell they were freshly made. This place has a great atmosphere and nice decor. Our waiter seemed a bit nervous or angry, but our service was fine. This is a great place if you are looking for a nice selection on Italian food.

Once again, waste of our time. We had a 20 minute wait at 5:30 on a Saturday evening. The lobby was mobbed, the tables were mobbed in the main area, but the secondary room was empty. When we finally got seated, we sat and sat and sat...while everyone around us got taken care of, and a table across from us that sat down after we did got their plates, bread, and drinks. And yet we continued to wait. When our waiter came finally he tossed off "sorry for the wait", put down the plate of oil and seasoning (but no bread) and asked what we wanted. But I needed a gluten free menu, which I politely asked for. He made a face and stomped off to retrieve it. When he came back, he took our drink order and left. Someone else dropped off bread at this point, which was fine for my husband to eat. And then the waiter was gone for an extended period of time AGAIN. When he returned to take our order, I specified the gluten free eggplant napoleon, and he wanted to know if I wanted vegetables or pasta. I reminded him that I needed gluten free, so therefore I'd want the vegetables. He rushed through my husband's order, then left. I was actually pretty concerned because clearly he had no clue and I wasn't sure he'd bring me gluten free food. The salad and soup came, and thankfully there were no croutons in my salad. After another inordinate amount of time, he brought our food. My eggplant napoleon was basically soggy eggplant (the bottom pieces hidden underneath a stack of other soggy pieces were all ripped apart and semi-mashed) with a layer of cheese and a spit of tomato sauce. The food was cold and so incredibly tasteless... My husband's "NEW" chicken Parmesan casserole was chicken parm on top of some noodles. Barely any sauce, hardly any cheese, and it was so unappealing looking I actually asked if the food was COOKED. He said it was, but that it was barely warm. I ate part of my food but gave up about halfway through because it was a waste of my energy and calories. The waiter passed us by several times as we waited for him to take our plates. When he finally did, he dropped off the check...my husband rushed to put a credit card in it before the waiter disappeared again. We sat and waited so much during this dinner, it was no wonder the lobby was mobbed with people waiting to eat. We very much wanted to tell them to RUN! considering our horrible service and lackluster food. For you GF people, don't bother to eat here. Most of the things on their GF menu are just stripped down meals. No sauces, no seasoning, no flavor. And half the time the staff doesn't seem to know how important GF service is.

Had lunch there today and had to give them a review. I ordered pizza with Butternut Squish , candied walnuts and Blue Cheese. Very interesting. They had a special for two of their new pizzas with salad and rolls for $15.00. Great lunch, great price. This dish is very different and very tasty.

I've always enjoyed Bertucci's, so when my friend and I stumbled upon this location for lunch, we knew we would leave full and happy. Our server, I think his name was Guy, was humorous without being obnoxious and friendly without being fake. He did what every good server does: brought us yummy bread and salad, refilled our drinks, and recommended a delicious dessert. I ordered a penne pasta dish and my friend had spaghetti and meatballs. We're an easy table to please. The food was good and the chocolate mousse dessert that was recommended, ranked pretty high in my book too. Would definitely go back next time I am in the area.

The reviews here on Yelp should be enough. 16 reviews and not one below 3 stars yet. I have been to Bertucci's a few times and returned last night for a dinner with my girlfriend, her kid, my parents, and their kid. Oh yeah, that kid would be my brother. Anyway, I don't think anyone did not enjoy their meal. I had the Baked Penne Stefano, which is apparently a new dish. It was very tasty, but the cook was a bit stingy with the crumbled chicken sausage. Other recommendations: Lasagna Rustica - lots of meat, and lots of delicious Any of the pizza - if you have not tried brick oven pizza there is something wrong with you Shrimp Rossini - Something about Shrimp and pasta that makes a good pair, they go together like lamb and tuna fish (see Big Daddy for reference)

It's a chain, but pretty good one. When I'm out of town I tend to go to one of their restaurants if it's in the area. The big draw? The hot rolls! The food is also good and the pizza very good. The wines by the glass are a good selection and the wine list is good complement, quality and price wise, to the food. Never tried the desserts! Anyrate, the one in Columbia does a decent job and I've been known to do take-out pizza and always with an order of the rolls!

We used to eat there every Friday and loved it! The taste of Bertucci's is great and we love the Pizza. Some of the menu items aren't that good, but the Pizza, which is not traditional, is fantastic. We cut back though because we were eating too much Pizza, and didn't really trust that other menu items would always be good. Call ahead for seating. It's like being at the front of the line. We did have a problem once when we used an online coupon that we presented via my phone - the manager questioned that it was real, came back over to say, "why would we even offer a deal like that - you know nothing about running a business!" Well, I do run my own business and I do know not to treat my customers like that - but when I complained to the home office I got a voucher for a free dinner, so I was pleased that my concern was handled well.

This is by far the worst Bertucci's I have been to. We placed a to-go order for the game day deal and the girl on the phone had no idea what we were talking about. As we were reading it to her from their ad on their website. She told us it would be 25 minutes before our food was ready. We ordered it at 11:45 and went to pick it up at 12:50.... And our food was not ready. The girl forgot to place our order. She wrote it on a piece of paper and didn't even put it in the computer! They rushed our food and gave us undercooked pizza (which we had to put in our oven to cook it ourself). The rolls were cold and they didn't even give us any olive oil or butter. Also, they have pamphlets RIGHT by the cash register that say GAME DAY DEAL. I'm not sure if it was a new staff member but they need to train their staff better. When we order Bertuccis carry out/ delivery at other restaurants, they give us lots of rolls, olive oil, butter, and WARM & COOKED pizza. We will never be ordering from this store again.

I go here about once a month and am never disappointed. They have great pizza, especially the BBQ Chicken pizza! The staff is always friendly. You can carry out lunch if you want something different than your typical, on the go, weekday food. Love this place!

Our experience tonight was a train-wreck from start to finish- the only good part was the taste of (most of) the food when it Finally arrived. When we arrived it was quite crowded but not atypical on a Saturday at 7pm. We didn't mind the 35 min wait. What we did mind was being skipped by the hostess; we were only sat upon alerting her to the fact that at least the last two groups sat had come in after us. Then after being sat we had to wait 10-12 min to have anyone come over, tho we saw several other servers come and go around us. When the server finally greeted us he was pleasant and joked about the long wait; he took our drink orders but it took nearly 25 min to get our 4 drinks. Then another 10 min after flagging down a manager we got some bread plates and silverware. The flatbread and salad came about 10 minutes after that; which seems like a reasonable amount if time between bread and appetizers but this was almost an hour after being sat! The apps were delicious! I'd recommend the farmhouse salad if I ever went back... Once we finished he brought out our entrees which was good timing, except that the soup never came out. The dinners were also tasty. Then came the finale to a solidly bad experience when it came time to get the check. After being at the table for longer than the movie we'd just seen, we only took a cursory glance at the bill. We were all pretty ready to go when I noticed we'd been charged for more wine than we'd had. The wine was changed and we paid the bill, or so we'd thought. Apparently, our bill wasn't right at all. It took at least 25 min to get the bill all straightened out- wrong items charged, not our bill , too many drinks... We were there for more than 2 1/2 hours! Bottom line was that from start to finish it was just a bad experience all around and there was no offered apology for any part of the experience.

Keep in mind, despite this review of 2 stars, I really like Bertucci's and this review is just for the last time we went which was last Saturday, 23rd of November. There IS room for improvement and the next time we go I will be looking for it. If everything goes great, this review will be upgraded to a higher star. First off, we were actually sat quite quickly once we checked in, which normally for me means that the experience is going to be a good one. However, little did I know that we would be a training exercise for a new waiter that while nice enough, hadn't had the proper training to be a waiter (or at least it didn't seem like it). He was obviously flustered even before we were sat down and continually messed up orders, forgot to refill drinks, etc. I am fairly sure he actually forgot to put in our original order when we gave it to him and when we did manage to get the order in, it was the wrong one (the Calzones we ordered had the wrong fillings and one entire entree was missing). We continually had issues with getting drinks, bread, and salad refilled without long periods of time in between and it took us nearly 2 hours to finally get our real order. Once we got it, the food was good (even though somehow the onions were left off mom-laws entree, so technically the order was again wrong). It got so bad that the shift manager pulled the new guy as our waiter and replaced him with a more experienced one. Unfortunately this poor girl had to fix the mess and make sure the service was top notch, which she tried to do. The whole experience was so bad that we not only got a free dessert for my mother-in-law (it was her Birthday dinner after all), but the entire check was waived. It was the attempt by management to fix the situation which kept this from being a one star review, which I appreciate, but it came a little too late when we had issues for nearly 2 hours before everything was brought back to bare. Bertucci's, please fix your service. I like you, really I do and we've been there many many times before on Saturday and never had an issue. Please make sure your waiters are trained properly before putting them out on the service floor like that. I actually felt BAD for the guy, because he had no direction whatsoever and was obviously uncomfortable doing what he was doing at the time. As a new employee myself at where I work, I fully understand his situation.

Our server Lucas was awesome. He delivered the meals and drinks very quickly. He was a lot of fun and we loved having him as our server. When my friend spilled her drink he was quick to respond in a friendly manner and even gave her a new one on the house! We also loved how he talked to us about his tattoos and made the entire table laugh. Overall GOOD FOOD AND EVEN BETTER SERVICE!!

Bertucci's continues to be a family favorite. While other restaurants will "drop off our list" due to changes in food quality or expense, Bertucci's consistently satisfies over many years. Our last visit was typical: Eating during lunch hours gets you all-you-can-eat salad in addition to the all-you-can-eat rolls. The salad is not sophisticated, but it is fresh. Liven it up with parmesan and pepper and it is quite good. The rolls are usually hot and fresh, and they are served with dipping oil. The pizza we ordered was one of our favorites -- a 2 topping pizza with caramelized onions and goat cheese. First of all, Bertucci's does caramelized onions better than any other place. Second, the sauce is distinct and flavorful. Third, the crust has the right balance of crisp and softness. The service was, as usual, attentive, quick, and friendly. We appreciated the visit from a manager checking up on things. Lunch at Bertucci's is a good value. With the all-you-can-eat items, you should not leave the place hungry.

They've got a meat lover's type pizza here, called the Sporkie, that's just great. The flavors all mix together really well. If you're a Meat Eater, give it a try.

The food just was not too great.... sorry. My friend and I both got pastas, they were bland without taste. Just tasted so "regular" like what I could cook at home. My other friends got items that maybe were more "safe" as this place is known more for their pizza and stuff that's in the oven... So maybe that tasted better, but this review is just for their pasta. Their "share-able salads" were kinda cheap. We wondered why... and we found out why. It is NOT for 2-3 people as it says in the menu. It's more of a serving size for 1 or 2 people... Next time, I'll probably stay away from the pastas. They look good in the pictures, but not in real life.. The ambiance is casual... not too loud. I didn't know it still got crowded on the weekends and holidays, but it still does get a good crowd of people during dinner hours. Plus: Great service by our waitress, who let us stay pretty long to talk (6 girls)

This place was great! I hadnt been here for years, but will def come back if I'm looking for a place to go in the Columbia area. Two of us came here for HH and ordered the HH margarita pizza and some beers. The pizza was great! The rolls and oil were amazing and we ate way more than we should have. Also, the service was wonderful! I wish I could remember our server's name (Joanna maybe?) because she was so friendly and attentive. Def made for a great HH!

i ate here for this first time in years and didn't think it would be that good, but it turned out to be really, really good. we came on a friday night around 7 and were sat immediately. our server pete was awesome. greeted us with fresh hot rolls and recommended the spinach and artichoke dip. it was so good! i went with my mom and friend, and we split a pizza that was half margherita and half cheese. the pizza was awesome. all of the food, the dip and the pizza tasted fresh and came out hot and delicious! we all left full and happy and will definitely be coming back!

I usually only have one policy when it comes to reviewing restaurants - no chains... But despite my strict and perhaps incoherent dislike for chain restaurants (maybe cause I worked at a few), I've always felt differently about Bertucci's. And my most recent visit to their location in Columbia confirms why I have this bias. We went on a beautiful Saturday afternoon and enjoyed ourselves immensely. One of the first things I noticed is that the manager is doing a great job at hiring quality employees at this location. This may sound old manish but the hostesses were lovely young ladies with smiles on their faces. Our server Michel was on point during our entire experience. She let us taste both sangria's while we were deciding what to order, which I thought was a really nice gesture considering we were both hesitant to order any. Her recommendations for entrees were stellar as well. The salad we got with the fresh mozzarella, olives and balsamic glaze (sorry I forgot the name) was delicious. And the Mushroom/Asiago pizza was honestly the best pie I've eaten all year. And trust me, this fat boy eats a lot of pizzas. The crust was thin and crispy, it was brushed with quality olive oil. There wasn't too much cheese either. Just loads portabella mushrooms and sage.. YUM!!! Not to mention the pizza cooked to perfection. I ask, what more can you ask from a pizza? Another plus to our experience was that the restaurant was clean, quiet and comforting. The manager even closed the shade a bit at one point during our meal because the sun was a bit bright. It's these little gestures of kindness that stick out most for me and make me what to come back again and again. So you know what.. yeah Bertucci's is a chain. But its probably the best damn pizza chain this side of the Mississippi!! Again this review does not pertain to all Bertucci location, just the operation in Columbia. Of course I can't speak on behalf of the other Bertucci locations since I haven't been to them since I was a cub. But now I'm a big grown up bear who can pay for food himself, this is the first place I'm going from now on for awesome pizza!

Yum dee dum yum ! Yes, Bertucci's is a chain. But that doesn't stop me from loving their absolutely amazing pizzas, complementary warm bread rolls, their window shattering-ly good baked eggplant with mozzarella and pomodoro sauce ! Try the whole grain pizza with fresh mozzarella, roasted garlic and roasted artichokes. By the time you bite into the edges of the crust, you'll see pearly gates ! Yes, It really is that good ! Cons ? The servers can be clumsy. Our server mixed up the beverages, knocked half glass of water over one of my colleagues, wrong food arrived at our table - twice ! And finally served our pizza to someone else. All that apart, when the food does finally arrive in one piece, you'll forget about their service which is as smooth as1600 grit sandpaper and bury your face into the plates !

I love the open kitchen - no place to hide! Quite a friendly atmosphere at the bar and pizza is quite tasty. Very familiar with Bertucci's food as I used to work near one in DC. They have kept the prices reasonable. Mainly I stick to the pizza. Personally I don't love the dining atmosphere in the dining room, but great for takeout or a quick bite at the bar.

I LOVE Berucci's! Really is my favorite restaurant! I love brick oven pizza, my favorite being the Shrimp one with the cream sauce. Absolutely Amazing! Oh and the bread before hand is phenomenal, it takes all my will power not to fill up on it before my meal even comes! Ha. The service has always been good, never had a problem. I will continue to come back again and again!

I really like it here. IMO, it's 2-3 steps up from Olive Garden and has Carraba's beat for ambience. I stop here for a treat after going to Home Goods-my fave store- and usually have a couple of glasses of wine and an entree. The food have been solid each time, not Italy italian food but in this area, it will suffice for me (missing Newark for food!). They apparently have good pizza as well, of the three times I've been there I always see a few people either waiting for their pie while enjoying a drink or just coming in to pick it up and dash. I'd like to try it one day, but what's little old me going to do with a great big old pizza all to myself?? Ah well, next time.

We were definitely not impressed! The service at this location was extremely slow and our waiter was very unattentive. Also, for two different items that I tried to order, the waiter told us they were changing the menu and the items had changed, he tried to explain them as best as he could. If they are rolling out a new/revised menu, i wish that their print menu would be updated. My husband said the pizza was okay. I got the lobster ravioli which was just gross - rubbery pieces of lobster sitting on top of ravioli. We aren't planning on coming back.

The pizzas are, well, awesome. The pasta dishes are good and the bread is really good. The service was decent (but we did come at an early hour). The open kitchen was a lot of fun. They've got what looks to be a full bar. I have to say that I like Bertucci's. It's a good fake Italian chain restaurant. It will definitely be on my short list for when I'm in Columbia ... which I hope isn't too often!

And the rolls.are.pretty darn good too. The first pizza we ordered was proscuitto and ricotta. It's my fav to this daY. Was in MD Last week so stopped in for dinner with the family and it was just like old times, always a great experoencE!

Bertucci's food never disappoints and the service is most often than not quite satisfactory. The environment is warm and doesn't feel like you're in a cheap italian restaurant. The menu is affordable and the pastas and pizzas are all quite delicious.

7 of us met up for dinner last night at Bertucci's and I've gotta say that I really liked several things about it. First off we went around 8pm so most of the annoyances others had experienced were in bed for the night. We ordered a caesar salad, the ultimate bertucci pizza, the sporkie pizza, and a bottle of sangria. So, best sangria I've ever tasted. It was better then the sangria I drank in some of the villages in Spain. The salad was average but the rolls they give you are spectacular. The pizzas were top notch brick oven delights. I especially liked the sporkie, which was sweet Italian sausage with ricotta cheese. Everyone was really pleased and I'd definitely go back when I'm in town.

This place has okay pizza - some are certainly better than others. We usually get the Quattro pizza which is pretty good. I will say though - this place is "family friendly." So if you don't like a place with kids I wouldn't go here. And obviously, the food isn't super healthy, but hey, it's a pizza joint.

When I saw the Ultimate Bertucci on the menu, I knew that it was my destiny. Rarely does the taste of a dish match how delicious it looks on the menu. I'm sure many of us can relate to that. But this dish...the Ultimate Bertucci...did not let me down. The pizza has thin crust, which is pretty much the standard crust used on all of their brick-oven pizzas. Having a thin crust on pizza that has a bunch of meat on it is like ordering a diet coke with your Double Whopper, but I digress. The pizza has four sections that each have four different toppings: sweet Italian sausage, meatballs, rosemary ham and chicken. The pieces of meat that come on this pizza are HUGE. I enjoyed every last drop of this pizza! The individual pizza is about $10 and it was just the right amount for me--not too much and not too little. I also tried the Antipasto Sampler, which includes Mozzarella Fritta, Tuscan Chicken Wings, Meatballs, and Tomato Bruschetta. I especially loved the meatballs and Mozzarella Fritta. The best way to describe the Mozzarella Fritta is like Italian-seasoned Mozarella sticks in the shape of a patty. This was my second time here, but my first review. And it definitely won't be my last visit. Now please excuse me while I go to the gym and hit the treadmill.

Not a big fan of thin crust pizzas. I prefer pan style or stuffed crust. I went here with my brother and sister and they never told me that Bertucci's was ONLY thin crust pizza. They only told me that the place had pizza. Service was pretty solid, though the restaurant wasn't really busy. My sister came here before so she was the 1 that ordered everything for us. She got the Margherita and Verde pizzas both large. When we got the pizzas I was sorely disappointed by how small they were especially when we paid like 40 bucks for both. However, the flavors of both pizzas were outstanding. The Margherita really tasted great, from the fresh and potent basil to the texture of the cheese, it was fantastic. The Verde was good too, I just didn't think it went great with the thin crust. I believe it would have been a lot better if it were thick crust, but that's just Bertucci's! Service was good and the food was outstanding. The prices and portions were a bit on the small side, but a big guy like me doesn't always have to eat big every time right? :) I enjoyed the food and had fun with my family.

We've been going to Bertucci's for years and it seems to be on the decline, sadly. Most of the dishes needed salt and the children's pasta was served cold. We were seated next to the check out area for the staff and had to listen to them mutter complaints about their tables as they passed each other. Our waitress, Alexis, was patient and professional. I felt bad that she had to serve the bland food. I was very surprised that a manager didn't come out, given that two dishes were taken off the bill. In years past, a manager used to make the rounds throughout the restaurant and check in with each table no matter what. The shrimp fettuccine and the strawberry, spinach and goat cheese salad were good.

My dad picked me up food from here because I'd just had surgery and can't drive. He said the staff was nice, so I'll be fair and include that. I ordered a fettucine alfredo. I've been a vegetarian for 19 years, and looked on the menu before I ordered. The food they gave him was a fettucine alfredo with chicken. And a hair! One star for this hack of a place is far too generous. Gross!

Haven't been to a Bertuccis in a hot second, but this was disappointing. Either that or my standards have gone way up. First I was seated right next to the bathrooms in an empty restaurant, strike one. Strike two, it took the server over 10 min to get to me. Strike three, the food was terrible. I ordered the veggie pizza. The pizza crust was soggy, the vegetables on the pizza were tired and unflavored, their sauce lacks taste and imagination, and frankly it was just a big mess.

Had dinner here on Thursday night for a reunion with a friend (it's a tradition of ours to reunite at Bertucci's). The place was packed with families--great environment. Our waitress was efficient and friendly. We ordered the roasted tuscan vegetables, mozzarella fritta, and margherita pizza. Mozzarella fritta was AWESOME--I mean you can't really go wrong with fried cheese. Roasted tuscan vegetables were fine--was lacking a bit on the "roasted" flavor. Margherita pizza was delicious too. Good solid food, can't really go wrong with Bertucci's!

A group of friends needed a spot to meetup. This place seemed perfect. Great location. Great food. Lots of parking. What else could you ask for? How about friendly service? How about not waiting over 15 minutes for your check? How about a waitress who doesn't give you a snotty and rude reply whenever you ask for anything? The one thing I can't stand when I'm having a great meal at a restaurant is when the server makes me feel like I'm bothering them by placing an order. It was so bad tonight that another server observed it and actually apologized for her. Now that's bad, right? My advice - try the brick oven pizza but stay away from dining in. Take it out, my friends. Forget about having an event in their "private" room. The sounds from the rest of the restaurant are amplified. Like many places the gratuity is automatically added (18%) but that doesn't mean a waitress should act rudely knowing she'll get a tip regardless.

Came here for a birthday dinner around 5pm on a Tuesday. This place was packed for a Tuesday! The food Roasted mushroom/asiago pizza-the best pizza they have! Delicious, mushrooms are roasted with garlic, white pizza. First time I had this pizza and has instantly become my favorite. If you like garlic and mushrooms get this pizza! It's supergood! Margherita- comparable to a typical margherita you'd get anywhere. Red sauce, buffalo mozzarella, basil. Good enough. Verde pizza- ordered it without prosciutto. Not bad but I feel like it really needs the prosciutto. The pizza has arugula, fresh mozzarella and balsamic vinaigrette reduction and it's fine but doesn't have nearly enough mozzarella on it to balance ordering it without prosciutto. Bertuccis bread rolls are complimentary and delicious! (Ask your server to bring them out warm!) served with garlic and herb oil. Waaaayyyy better than Olive Garden bread. Service- best part of dinner. Our server was polite, prompt and accommodating. We were a party of 9 plus a baby and a baby (mostly vegetarian, so quite a few modifications) and she took really good care of us. Wish I could remember her name cuz she was def one of the best servers I've had at a chain restaurant! The bad They had a bunch of seasonal items on their menu that looked really good but they did not have the ingredients to make them because they were phasing that menu out. If you can't serve it, don't put it on the menu. (Why they got 3 stars instead of 4) There is no "veggie" pizza on the menu, you can make your own but adding 5 or 6 toppings on a pizza can get pricey. The tortellini is pre-made so you can't get it without the chicken. I would recommend this place if you want some good pizza and have a large party!

Hi Bertucci's Corporate! I lost my survey code so here I am. The food and service at Bertucci's Columbia is always top notch but today was a cut above. My husband and I eat at this location fairly often (at one point I was the mayor on foursquare) so I feel this rave review is justified. I was deeply impressed by our server tonight, Brittany. The way she was running the show, I thought she was the manager. Service was fast, polite and warm. I was also impressed with the way she helped the newer staff members perform their closing tasks correctly. Give this girl a promotion! On to the food, chicken piccata and meatless farm house salad! drool, excellent as usual.

I've been here a couple of times now and with the exception of a major screw-up with "the list" I've been very happy with both the food and the service. If you go on a Friday or Saturday night expect it to be crazy busy. They're a good restaurant...so expect to wait a bit. Don't let it be too far past your normal mealtime, or a delay might get you a bit hangry. This is a great place for a casual night out with the fam, or even a more intimate evening with your S.O. The munchkins got their own little ball of pizza dough to play with at the table (with strict instruction from me not to eat it after they had played with it for 15 minutes). The service has been great both time we've been here. Within about 90 seconds of hitting the table our server was there getting our drink order. Bread and olive oil followed only a few minutes later. Food was fast and we didn't have to wait for anything (other than sitting down initially). When our food arrived everything was hot, nothing seemed to have sat in the window. We have tried their pizza, a couple of types of their pasta, and a few of their chicken dishes. We haven't been disappointed in the slightest. Even the munchkins noted that the pizza just tasted fresh. The ingredients taste fresh, and the everything seems seasoned with more of a scalpel than a sledgehammer. The munchkins were super excited when I suggest coming here tonight. I expect they will be the next time I suggest it as well. We will be back.

I'm not normally a chain restaurant fan but Bertucci's is my favorite! Best things to order: Roasted Vegetable appetizer, Calzone with more roasted veggie & garlic, and the Sangria. The lunch special is also really awesome. Great service, food and atmosphere.

Wow, we love Bertucci's. I realized that we've visited here a dozen times but never Yelped it. Most recent visit was 3 weeks ago. It has always been excellent. Between visits there, I think about their hot dinner rolls and pizza. I love the flavor the brick oven imparts. Our family's favorites also include the various pizzas and flatbreads, the sausage soup, the artichoke dip, and the pastas and the chicken parm. I've also enjoyed their Caesar and other salads---though on our recent visit, they put waaay too much dressing on the spinach salad. It's 45 minutes from home, but we often make it the spot for birthday celebrations. We never have room for dessert (although I think we've indulged in a tiramisu to go now and then). Service has been good to excellent, and it's a comfortable if somewhat noisy space. I know this is a chain, and maybe not unique among Italian eateries nowadays, but we have yet to be disappointed.

Not bad for my first time ordering from here. I ordered a bbq chicken pizza to go. I felt like there wasn't enough bbq sauce on the pizza but it was still okay. I don't like the thin crust pizza so that might have been another reason the pizza was just okay to me. I also ordered a regular salad and that was delicious. Overall the to go wasn't bad, salad was good, and bbq chicken pizza was okay.

I've been going here for years with my family and typically still come about once a month. Having been in the restaurant business for many years, I am not picky with service at all because I sympathize with the servers. Tonight I went and was not terribly hungry so there was no extra drinks or starters or desserts. Our server started off fantastically, but you could see her frustration as we did not order any extras. I understand, upping a bill adds to the tip. What she failed to realize is that I often tip 50% or more on cheaper orders. That's probably more than she would've gotten if we ordered a bunch or extras and tipped 20% anyways! By the end, it was obvious that she was done with us. She literally dropped the desert menu, I mean let it fall to the center of the table instead of placing it or giving it to someone. I've never experienced that before. She stopped making eye contact and could not run away from our table fast enough. Once again, knowing what happens in a restaurant, I could pick up on her talking about us. Of course I'll be back, but I hope that we have some of the other great servers that we have had before! This was a disappointing experience for me.

The food is great. The atmosphere is pretty good. My work holds events here in the meeting room, but the glass doors allow for all sound to travel. They also for some odd reason started vacuuming tonight at 8pm, with a really loud vac. They even moved the table and chair completely out of the way. Really odd.

I ate here for lunch yesterday. It's kind of a typical chain restaurant. There was a large TV in the corner of the room showing the Winter Olympics. The menu has a lot of personal-pizza and pasta options. I ordered the lunch-size spaghetti and meatballs. At $8.99, you get a pretty decent portion for the price. You're served "unlimited salad" as an appetizer - unfortunately, it mostly consists of iceberg lettuce. It's nothing to get excited about and not all that nutritious. The pasta was a bit too firm for my liking. It needed to be cooked longer. The best parts of the meal were the spaghetti's meat sauce and the meatballs. The sauce was very flavorful and had nice little chunks of tomatoes and ground meat mixed in with it. The two meatballs were perfectly cooked, soft, and very tasty as well. You're also served with generic rolls that were just okay; they seemed hard (maybe stale). Overall, the food and service were adequate. Our server did his job, but I had to wait until I was paying the bill to get my first water refill. He definitely could've checked on our table a couple more times. To sum it up, Bertucci's was average at best and satisfactory; however, there are better Italian food options in the area if you're looking for a standout meal.

Liked the pizza a lot.this was our first time and we liked it a lot maybe because of the brick oven :)

What a disaster. My wife bought the game day deal for takeout. The first pizza was cooked incorrectly and they made another while she waited. Meanwhile the other one was getting cold. After 40 minutes total in waiting she grabbed the corrected pizza and went home. Arriving home the cheese pizza didn't have sauce on one half, the other corrected pizza was half cooked and the wings weren't cooked thoroughly as well. I'm not sure what happened. We have eaten in the restaurant several times and had a decent meal.

Maybe it was a bad night. Monday before Christmas. The service was really bad, and they burned the crust on 2 slices of my pizza. Like in the brick oven flame for 10 minutes burnt. Oh well.

  • Jen L.

Their menu is very extensive! Pizza, pasta dishes and salads...geez way too many things to choose from and all of it GOOD! I suggest going with the lunch portions if you don't want excessive leftovers... Despite catering to 20+ individual meals, the service was excellent in accommodating our very large group. We did do our due diligence and gave them a heads up so they went out of their to prepare for the large group and prepared separate checks for all of with minimal fuss. A great choice for a large office lunch!

I come here a lot when I want to get away from the office and grab a bite to eat. The best part about Bertucci's is their cheap menu. I'm a fan of their salads, pizza, and even their sandwiches. Okay, maybe I like everything on their menu. It's really all quite good for the price. I have yet to run into a bad server and they are very good about making seperate checks when necessary. I also like that I can enjoy a my food and still hear what someone across the table from me is saying. All very big pluses in my book.

This is a pretty bad restaurant. They have filthy menus with greasy fingerprints everywhere. Slow service (I doubt the host and the wait staff talk to each other). Also the food does not taste fresh; it tastes cheap.

This is a very solid restaurant and is my "go-to" casual pizza/italian place. As far as chains go it is leaps ahead of something like Olive Garden. The staff is excellent, theatmosphere is very open and inviting, and the food is great. My favorite is the "Ultimate Bertucci" pizza because I love to have variety - it is 1/4 each of chicken, ham, pepperoni, and meatballs. Try the meatballs, you will not be disappointed!

I am a fan of their pizza. Their salads are good too. Their pasta dishes were better in the past in my opinion. Not a big fan of their soups. Overall, their food is good and I would eat here again.

Came here on a Friday evening - 2 adults, 2 children, and an infant. We were told the wait would be about 20-25 minutes, but was closer to 15. We ordered the Mussels Caruso (in red sauce) app and Pucillo pizza. The mussels were a little salty, but still good. The pizza was pretty tasty. Our server was friendly and attentive. He was neither clueless nor a prick as is sometimes the case at chain pizza places. Kids loved the cold dough that came out with their mac and cheese kids' meals.

Pizza

Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.

Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.

Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Whether you prefer thin or thick crust pizza, you can find a pizza of your preference at the best pizza restaurants in your city.

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
