Had a mixed experience. Good for lunch. Not for take out. They have good padthai though.

Some of the worst Thai Food we've ever had. Incredibly bland - drunken noodles had not a hint of spice. They were topped with basically plain steamed green beans - very odd. Do not recommend.

I ate here for lunch earlier today, and the place was reprehensibly vile and disgusting. First, and this is the most troubling to me, I killed no less than five gnats while eating my meal. FIVE!!!! I literally was swatting at them while trying to eat my food. Then, my food had a funny taste (please Lord don't let it have been a gnat). I can't quite put my finger on what it is, but something definitely tasted putrid. But, if there were swarms of gnats floating around my food, just imagine what the kitchen looks like. Trust me, do not eat here. EVER. Under any circumstances. Go to Bangkok Gardens, I heard they are a nicer establishment, and their food is better. But, Bangkok Delights is anything but delightful. They literally served me with the worst meal I have had in recent memory. Ugh.

This was recommended to us as great Thai joint. Really, it was average, or just below. Had Pho, and panang chicken, as well as drunken noodles, and Pad Prik Sad. None were good enough to want to finish. Plenty of other joints in Columbia which are far better.

We haven't eaten here in years and were pleasantly surprised when we visited for dinner. Ambiance was nice and quiet, service was good, and the food was excellent. The Pad Thai was well done, although next time I would choose chicken rather than the tofu. We also had a yellow curry with chicken and veggies that was quite tasty. Yellow is mild, but other curries come as spicy as you like. The chicken was tender and the veggies crisply done. Also, the price was very reasonable for these meals ($30 total, with a cup of tea).

This was a business lunch, so I didn't pay much attention ... just ordered the Basil Chicken lunch special since it was top of the list. It was really pretty good. Also, the cup of soup included was very good. It was actually real soup; somebody made it, didn't just open the Sysco can - it had fresh carrot cubes and fresh rutabaga (maybe parsnip too?) in it, still tender crunchy, not canned-soggy. So I shouldn't have bothered with the included deep-fried spring roll; it was rather standard, and not worth the fat or calories. Service was attentive, but not intrusive. 4 stars; good value; I'll be back.

I've been patronizing Bangkok Delight for over a decade. I find it to be one of the best Thai restaurants in the area. My favorites are the Yellow Curry with scallops (ask for this instead of shrimp, it costs a little extra, but worth it), my second is a special, chicken curry in squash, which is literally served in a squash, third is the Brown Curry, and fourth is the Salmon Puff Pastry served with the yellow curry sauce. The coconut soups are also hard to pass up. The decor is fine, the ceiling is covered with large colorful paper umbrellas, which my daughters like -- and long for. I have always found the service to be good and it's a great place for a luncheon.

I used to live right around the corner from this restaurant and so of course I had to try it. I got takeout and the portion was large enough but the food wasn't very good. I remember thinking that it just kind of tasted "funny." The rice was good at least...

My hubby and I used to go here every week It was our favorite place. We stopped going when we realized they have a really bad fruit fly problem. We couldnt even eat the last couple of times! What worse is that they know about the problem....

AMAZING Basil Chicken dish. Very Friendly staff.

I found Bankok Delight to be OK but nothing to get excited about. The decor is cheesy and the service was good. The food had the right amount of spice but had no flavor. Out of the three of us, no one thought the food was anything more than just OK.

I absolutely love this place. I have been here a few times for dinner and once for take out and every time have been very pleased with the food. I've had the tofu and vegetable with brown sauce, which was good but could have used a little more spice and season. My favorite is the Ruby Curry with tofu and vegetables. It's oh so very spicy and deliciously flavorful and full of lots of different vegetables. I get it without the bell peppers which leaves room for other delectable veggies (snow peas, bamboo shoots, green beans, mushrooms). They have a wonderful variety of dishes which you can have either chicken, beef, duck, seafood and tofu with. Perfect place for vegetarians! Because the entrees are very generous they are perfect to take home and the food keeps really well too. I have never has dessert here but the menu looked amazing; lots of different pies, cakes, ice creams. The service is always friendly and helpful. The atmosphere and ambiance is really neat too, it's relaxing yet fun. The ceiling has Oriental decorative umbrellas hanging from it, it's really beautiful and creative. Can't wait to come back very soon!

My husband's family has been dining at Bangkok Delight since they first opened in the 80s. Lately, the food is not quite as good as it used to be. We recently dined here, 5 of us, and the food was pretty eh. Tom Yum was too sweet and unauthentic, and the main dishes were not up to par for upwards of $12 per entree. Service was standard, and they did remake one dish that was too spicy. However, I was absolutely *shocked* when we received a bill with an 18% gratuity added in. I understand gratuity is often added in for parties of 8 or more, perhaps even 6, but never have I seen this for 5. At first we refused to pay it, since the service was nothing special. But the owner told us we had to pay it, so rather than make a scene, we coughed up the extra dollars. Won't be going back here and unfortunate they choose to lose long-time customers over a silly policy.

Someone below stated "good value". I'm not sure how you could possibly use that description for this place, which is the entire reason for my 2-star rating. The food was actually quite good. I had a large portion of pad thai with mixed vegetables, and it is one of the better pad thais I've had recently. However - the prices are ridiculous. I'm getting the impression that for some reason Columbia is expensive, and I just don't get that and will think it's ridiculous every time. The dishes are expensive as listed, and that's for only chicken, tofu or mixed vegetables. Any other meat or seafood is an additional $2-4 charge. I'm used to that for shrimp, but seriously, for anything?? This is a hole-in-the-wall strip mall restaurant with exactly the cheesy decor you would think of for that kind of place - but with upscale prices. I liked the food but until they move to hole-in-the-wall prices it's unlikely I'll be back.

One of our favorite Thai places. Good curries. I also like the pad thai and drunken noodles.

Good food and probably the best in Columbia. Service has always been good and is a surprise for Columbia. My only complaint is the inconstancy in the spice level of the dishes. I always order the spiciest they have ("native thai") and it can range from mild to very spicy. Favorites are the green and ruby curries and Nuea Sa-Tay.
