Diabetics at Pizza Hut

Pizza is neither a great meal nor the worst for diabetes. All you need is some fact check and monitoring while ordering your pizza. Diabetics can opt for thin crust or skinny pizza at Pizza Hut and avoid the cheese topping to cut down on the excess fat and sodium. If you have diabetes, then ensure to check your portion size when you order a pizza. One or max. two slices are enough. You can also avoid meat if possible and go for wings as a meat option.

Foods to Avoid at Pizza Hut for Diabetics:

You must avoid Meat Lovers Pizza with Original Pan Crust as it contains over 1000mg sodium and will add 470 calories in your meal. You should also skip Super Supreme Pizza Large Original Pan Slice which is too high in sodium and fat. Chicken wings are often tempting but you must control and restrict yourself from ordering Traditional Honey BBQ Bone-in Wings as it can add up to your sugar levels if you eat too many. On average, a person orders or consumes six chicken wings pieces in a day.

Sides must be avoided at all costs especially if it's Bacon Cheddar Fries with Ranch Dipping Cup for its high sodium content. You must also avoid New York Style Cheesecake with Applesauce as dessert as one slice of this dessert item contains 86g sugar. Pizza Hut also offers other Italian dishes such as Pasta. However, you must skip Spaghetti with Meat Sauce and Meatballs and Garlic Bread as it is too high in sodium and sugar.

High Blood Pressure at Pizza Hut

Fast-food restaurants like Pizza Hut are not recommended to dine-in if you are diagnosed with high blood pressure. Most pizzas at Pizza Hut are high in sodium and hence you must stick to one or max. two slices of any regular size pizza to limit your sodium intake. Try out the salads as they are not only healthy but also keeps you full for a longer period. However, you must ensure that you don't order the salads without any extra dressing.

Both these pizzas contain a high amount of sodium which can spike your blood pressure levels. High Cholesterol at Pizza Hut

Whether large, medium or small, a pizza can boost your cholesterol levels instantly. You shouldn't eat more than one slice of any pizza your order at Pizza Hut. If you're concerned with your high cholesterol, then it is wise to take your friends to Pizza Hut and share pizza among them slice by slice. You can also try pasta at Pizza Hut but ensure that you are not adding any dressing or extra cheese as you order pasta.

Foods to Avoid at Pizza Hut for High Cholesterol

Keep your pizza intake to one slice to avoid high cholesterol intake while you dine at Pizza Hut. Skip Supreme Pizza Large Original Pan Slice as it contains a high amount of fat and the sodium levels are also very high. Avoid the desserts section completely to limit the fat and sugar intake. We use Pizza Boli every year to feed the hundreds of volunteers who attend our Science Olympiad Tournament on campus. We ordered 80 pizzas and had excellent service, fast pizza preparation, and fresh, hot pies. The manager was willing to work with us every time, even when we had to cancel 80 pizzas on him the night before due to our tournament getting snowed out. My college students were very happy with the pizza when we rescheduled. I worked directly with Jay, and was very happy with the service on such a big order. It sounds like some of the reviews have had trouble with Grubhub, but we have used Pizza Boli several times by dealing directly with Pizza Boli and had reliable results.

Ugh. Why did I try to give this place another chance?! I placed an order at 6:10 pm on 3/28/2012. My boyfriend went to go pick up the pizza. Forty minutes later I hear from him...the pizza is still not ready. It was hasn't even made it to the oven yet. When he expressed his dissatisfaction, he was met with discourteous service, to say the least. No apology, no accountability. I thought that this must be a mistake, and that the situation could still come to a satisfactory end... I called the store with the intention of asking for a free dessert, or a discount on this pizza or maybe our next pizza. I had the unforuntate experience of speaking with a man that identified himself as "Sterlin Ramlal." He said he was "one of the managers." He was extremely discourteous, so I asked if i could speak with the owner. "He isn't here right now." I asked for the owners contact information. Mr. Ramlal told me that he could not give that out, but he could take my information and ask the owner to contact me. He then continued to argue with me, never taking accountability for poor service. He stated that the store had "only one working oven" and sixty orders. Eventually he told me that he was actually the owner. He then covered the phone and said to someone in the background, "I'm not lying to her, I just said I was the manager, not the owner." I was told I could contact "corporate" if I wanted to. He asked me if I was through yet, and hung up on me. My boyfriend arrived home with the pizza shortly after. It wasn't even warm! Horrible service, horrible product.

Ordered online, and food took 70 minutes to arrive 1.5 miles from the restaurant. Pizza was acceptable, mild wings were tangy... but spinach pie seemed lacking in feta

Want to order food through grubhub, pay for it and then have it not be delivered? Then this is the restaurant for you! The bar was pretty low as far as my expectations for this place, but alas we poor grad students were desperate and ordered 2 pizzas with drinks, paid, and waited... and waited... aaaand waited. Eventually we called them and the wonderful person over the phone said "well that's not my problem" to which we replied that we wanted to speak to the manager and he hung up on us. Suffice it to say the food never came, we were never refunded, and I will never again do business with such pathetic excuses for an enterprise. AVOID!

I've ordered from this place several times, and either the pizza is late or made incorrectly. Granted, the manager does his best to correct the mistakes, but I'm rolling 0 for 3 with this place. Shame on me.

Absolutely horrible I ordered online at 2:15 and its 4:15p and still haven't received my ordered. I call to see what's going on and before I can say anything "pizza boil can you hold?" They need to get it together cuz they have definitely lost a customer.

If I could give this place no stars, I would. I NEVER write reviews but seeing as how I'm so incredibly pissed with this place, I figured I might as well. I placed an order through grubhub at 7:53 pm. According to grubhub, my order would be delivered between 9:10 and 9:20 pm. Already this is a ridiculous amount of time to have to wait for a cheesesteak and some onion rings but nonetheless, I waited. By 9:30pm I still hadn't received my order and proceeded to call the restaurant just to be told they never put in the order because "they got busy" and they can start it now. Are you serious? When I asked how long it would take, I was told 45 mins but "at least it will be hot when it gets there." Excuse me? It should have been hot regardless!! Needless to say I cancelled the order. I will never make the mistake of ordering from here again.

I placed an order for delivery. An hour and a half later, my order still hadn't arrived. So I call the store because I figure maybe they're just slow (even though I live like 5-10 minutes away). The person at the store said the driver came and someone said cancel the order which was false. No one ever knocked on my door they must've gone to the wrong place. Then he said the delivery guy called and he read me a number that wasn't mine. The guy who I was speaking to then goes and gets the manager who basically says oh well all we can do is resend your order. I say cool are you going to comp it, they say no. Why would I pay to wait even longer for their screw up? Please order your food from somewhere else if you're able to. It's not worth the headache here.

He was up on the phone! I said cancel my order and walked out ... Sad because I've ate here before and it was pretty good but being in College Park and so many options to choose from i will not be patronizing this location again.

My friend and I just wanted some pizza, but we got a show along with it. The workers were arguing about how slow their delivery system is. Never ask the small dude about western fries. They're obviously in the name. I asked what are western fries. He said its in the name. Since my friend is from California I ask him what are western fries. He said they just call them fries. A little rude so we gave him some attitude too. Pizza was good. Fries just had pizza cheese on them. Wish they had nacho cheese on them.

Overall experience left a lot to be desired. I don't know if it's because they get a lot of traffic from the university, but I don't think it's a good enough reason to have lackluster customer service. My initial experience started off with a rude clerk who took the order. He was extremely short with me and was taking down the information I provided incorrectly. Perhaps if he'd slowed down a bit he would have heard it correctly. I ordered 3 things - a chef salad, an Italian sub, and breaded mushrooms. I'm not sure why it took nearly an hour to be delivered when I live literally 7 minutes away. To their credit, the delivery person was very friendly, which was a surprise given the customer service thus far. Additionally, the food itself was good. The salad was a very generous portion - a great value for the cost. The sandwich was delicious as were the mushrooms. My only complaint was the time it took to have it all delivered and the customer service when calling to order.

Me and my mom ordered from this place our order was bout two sandwiches the order esti was 45 mins to make when i took culinary for half a year it does not take 45 mins to make two subs ... and we didn't even get the food for like n hour and on top of that the food was sub par for taking so long not to mention the terrible attitude the driver had This place deserves it's rating. also they need to re do their menu 60% of whats on it for certain stores do not have it

When I am in town traveling for work, this was the place I'd go for food. The food has been ok and the ordering process has been very smooth. Tonight I placed an order online. I waited for an hour and 30 minutes - the online system said they were "preparing my food". I called and called. Sometimes their phone would pick up,but I couldn't hear anyone on the other end. I received a call (I think from the manager) after about 1 hour and 50 minutes. He said they were closed for renovations! "Don't give on us". Ever get burned in a restaurant drive through? Now there is a new category: getting burned with online ordering. I'm done with it.

I normally order from Pizza Boli's in Beltsville and have found it to be good. This one in College Park, though. Ordered my usual meatball sub. The flavor is good but, they use so much marinara which has a lot of tomato liquid that the bread is soggy and you cannot eat it like a sandwich. The cheese is baked into the bread and looks non-existant. They can do better.

  • Kathy T.

If five negative stars was an option, it would suit this place. I ordered online for a spaghetti with meatballs. Did not receive my order until an hour and forty five minutes later. I was given a small portion for what I paid for, no meat balls. Barely any marinara sauce, no flavor, cold, and they put so much cheese on it that I couldn't even see the spaghetti. Unappetizing, will never return.

I was staying in Greenbelt for business and as usual asked for delivery options from the hotel front desk. The restauarant god must have been angry because out of the 6 or so menus, I decided to choose Pizza Boli. The pizza, neither good or bad. Your run of the mill average pizza joint. The issue I had was simple. It took almost an hour and a half for my pizza to be delivered. Now I am a patient man. If I am told an hour to and hour and a half that's one thing. When I am told 30-40min and then call the restaurant after 50 min and am told it should be there any minute.....cut to almost another 40min later, THAT is when I have a problem. Now a slow delivery, a busy night, I can get over those things as well. I should have been a litte more suspicious when the delivery kid called me and told me to meet him in the lobby and after looking around for 30 sec looking out the window and he was digging in the front seat of his car. Why should I have been suspicious about something like this??? Because when I got back to my room, I had only a half of a pizza. Where was the other half you might ask??? It was a folded mess in the corner of the box. I can only imagine that this kid dropped my pizza during a turn (much like the wide receiver for my beloved Detroit Lions). Thus, leaving my pizza in a folded mess. Now I ordered by credit card, so instead of not leaving a tip which I would have done after almost an hour and a half delivery time, I tried calling into the restaurant to complain and tell the company to remove the tip from my credit card. After being on hold for almost 5 min I decided I would simply vent my frustrations here. With the number of pizza options if you read this and still order. You get what you deserve. You have been warned.

We were going to order Alario's but they seemed to be closed, possibly because UMD was on winter break. Took a chance on this place... sadly, without reading Yelp reviews first. Anyway, we ordered a white pizza and a Stromboli. The Stromboli was basically a large pizza folded in half before baking... they didn't even take any time to deal with the crust, so it came out half-burnt and dry. The white pizza was essentially cheese sticks in a round shape, but without a very good combination of cheeses and without any flavorful treatment of the crust. Does the kitchen not stock olive oil? Pizza Hut or Papa John's can make an order of cheese sticks about 100x better and they won't pretend it's worth more than it should be. Yeah, I said it... the evil national chains taste better and cost less. The total came to $26. I suppose I might consider it worth $10. We tossed most of the Stromboli after trying a bit, and I'm consuming the white pizza on general principle that I don't want to waste food--you know, starving people around the world and all--but it's pushing me to the breaking point. Please, please, please, my friends... if you're reading this, don't go here. You are just keeping this place in business when a much better small restaurant could use this space at least as well if not better.

When I'm at work, I sometimes order delivery from Pizza Boli's. While the food is decent, I can't ever seem to order when it doesn't take at least an hour to get here. In addition, there always seems to be some inconsistency with my order. Today, it was an abundance of mustard, when all I asked for (and didn't get on my sandwich) was ketchup and mayonnaise. There have been other more significant screw-ups, but I just wouldn't recommend this place unless the convenience is the only thing that matters to you.

Driver had no clue how to find my house and the food was not worth the price. I ordered the chicken sub and steak sub. The steak sub had a "funny" taste to it and the chicken sub had more bone and fat than actual chicken. The french fries were not all that great either. I will never order from them again.

I have lived within walking distance of Pizza Boli's for 2 years, going on 3. Their food is average, relatively consistent, and preparation takes a medium amount of time. Far from stellar. The biggest reasons why I was such a long time patron were their low prices and close proximity. That all changed recently. Most employees speak English as a second language, and mixups/incorrect orders are not uncommon. However, recently an employee somehow extracted "white pizza" from "large, pepperoni pizza." Not noticing until I got home, I called back and politely asked for a replacement pizza. I would walk back and switch it out. The employee insisted that the mistake was on my end, and he could not afford to replace the pizza. I calmly replied that we were regular customers, and that wrong orders have been replaced before. I also pointed out that the overhead on a pizza is remarkably low, and that it was unreasonable for him to not replace the pizza, especially since I was going to return the original. He still refused, the phone call escalated to a screaming match, and I promised to never eat there again, and that I would tell everyone I knew about the sad mishandling of a simple mistake. If the food and service were especially good, I wouldn't have normally gone so far as to avoid the restaurant. But the mostly sub-par food and frustrating service have scared me off. If you want pizza, I recommend paying the $4 premium for Papa John's, Dominos, etc.

I ordered a med. tomato, black olive, and green pepper pizza. Not only was it under-baked, it had green olives instead of the peppers. When I called Pizza Boli's and told them about the topping mixup, I was told "The ticket said green olives, bro." and that was it. I checked the receipt, and it did in fact say green olives, but my receipt through Grubhub confirmed that I had checked green peppers. When I called back to tell them this, I was told "Yeah, someone must have entered the options in the computer wrong." and that again was supposed to be the end of the interaction, according to them. When I asked what they would do about it, I was told that they would "hook me up on my next delivery," which is very vague, pretty inappropriate language to use as a business, and insulting. He continually stated that he wouldn't "just give me a free pizza" even though I was happy to return the incorrectly-made pizza in its entirety. Horrible pizza and even worse customer service cannot be made up with $3.00 in toppings, when you can't get an order printed from a computer correctly. There are numerous other pizza options in College Park nowadays, with even more on the way, so I have no problem leaving Pizza Boli behind to fail as other restaurants fill its awful, awful void. If you really need a cheap pizza, there's a Little Caesars just past East/West Highway. If, for some masochistic reason, you're going to try Pizza Boli's anyways, then don't expect quality, acceptable customer service, or even your actual order. I really can't express just how disgusted I am with this place.

OK, a bit of a disclaimer. One of my biggest hobbies is to pretend I'm still in college. Therefore you can often find me on a Friday at my friend's house near College Park, after playing shot-for-shot or a rousing game of Drinking Jenga, wondering where I can get food delivered to me at 1 a.m. In steps Pizza Boli's. This place is not the best of the best. As a matter of fact, every time I've ordered a Stromboli, it has arrived burnt. However, they take delivery orders until 1 a.m. and let's face it, if you're ordering food at 1 a.m., chances are you don't really give a damn if it's burnt. However, my friends, who usually get the pizza, and one healthy conscious party goer who insisted on a salad, were all pretty happy with their food, so maybe go with one of those options when ordering, that way you don't feel as bad the next day.

Pizza

Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.

Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
