Clinton Isn't the best place for great restaurants but Chicken Hut stands out! If you want real homemade food and chicken fresh off the rotisserie. There is something for everyone at chicken hut but personally I love their chicken. It literally falls off the bone. And for me its amazing seeing the chicken actually being cooked above real coals, (REAL COALS!) If that isn't your jam, you can always go for one of the many other options on the menu. Once you've got the entree, you cant go without trying one of the MANY sides they have. My favorite sides have to be the the Okra and corn :)

I'm not a fan of Chicken Hut. I've ordered from here twice, and both times I've been very disappointed. Both times I have found the food to taste as if a chemical of some sort was spilled/poured/knocked over into either the rice or the Chicken Curry. The last time I ate there (today) the food made me sick, and I was unable to keep it down. I gave them 1 star because I called them immediately to explain the situation and they were willing to refund my money. I took the receipt and food back to them and received my refund. I will not be going back to Chicken Hut.

I realize I will be totally in the minority when it comes to my opinion on this place, but I have to be honest and say that I was disappointed with the quality control at the time of my visit. I "treated" a good friend of mine to some take-out recently, and for her trouble she got food poisoning. (She's great company but when she reads this she'll probably make it a point to not ever go by my suggestions again lol!) We both took the rotisserie Peruvian style chicken with mash potatoes and string beans. After ordering we spent all our time together talking, and while she opted to eat away at her chicken while we walked to our cars, I decided to bring mine back to work and have it there. On arrival, I quickly got distracted with work that I ended up not having my lunch, and it sat in the fridge so that I eventually forgot about it. She rang me that same evening saying she felt terribly ill, and the rest was history. I felt bad I couldn't sympathize with her experience, but the common denominator was the chicken; I threw it out when I got back to work the following morning. I hope that this was strictly an isolated incident, but I'm not about to roll the dice on this place again anytime soon. (I promise!)

My favorite wing spot. I had to force myself to stop coming here twice a week for their jumbo delicious buffalo wings! Now that my fiancé is with me all the time when we eat I have him hooked as well! I have a girlfriend that loves their rotisserie chicken but I can live off of their freshly made mild buffalo wings and my fiancé enjoys the honey BBQ. They have other good sides like their cabbage isn't bad and I love the chick peas. The only reason they don't get 5 stars is because they have something against blue cheese! They never have it, EVER! It seems like they made an executive decision to only carry ranch. But it's ok, I just go next store to buy Ledos's homemade blue cheese by the jar! Love that stuff. We're fans for life of the chicken hut.

Delicious curry (lamb or chicken) Friendly workers ("IQ" is my favorite!) FRESH when ordered: Pita, Yucca, and Plantains. (YUM!!!) When ordering a meal they give you a GENEROUS HEAP of rice. Downside: I wish they had fresher vegetables available as sides. The options they do have seem like they came out of a can (green beans, garbanzo beans, beets....)

The chicken hut was not that tasty but it was midday and had quick service that was a plus. But to me the fries had no flavor and the rotisserie chicken wrap lacks flavor as well so I definitely won't be back.

Even if the restaurant options in Clinton weren't limited, Chicken Hut would still be a great choice for a quick bite, the rotisserie chicken is always moist and delicious. The seasoning hold their own against the best Peruvian chicken joints, and the side dishes a healthful and tasty (except for the bland macaroni and cheese). I wish this place got more business. I'd hate to see it close because the traffic it receives is too low. Clintonites, skip the national chains for a change when you are looking for something quick to eat, and give Chicken Hut a try one day soon.

Good price, chicken was a little dry. I recommend arriving after 1pm in order to get the rotisserie chicken fresh. Get the half chicken with cabbage and rice.

The place is great for when I'm eating lower carb. Roasted chicken with greens and cabbage! Mmmmm. Last time I went pretty late though and the chicken was a bit dry. Also the mac and cheese isn't the best per my husband!

I think I ordered the wrong chicken. Based on the reviews, "order anything" seemed to be the overwhelming Yelp. I was so excited about this place - chicken from all corners of the globe (fried, Peruvian, Indian), I literally begged my husband for 4 days straight to pick us up some. Saturday, he finally relented. I got the curry chicken. Here's a tip: if you like bland and dry hunks of chicken over (not basmati like it said on the menu) rice, then go right ahead. The rice was disappointing and the cabbage was, mmm, lackluster may be an overstatement. My husband got the fried chix with mac/cheese and greens. The chicken was crispy, but flavorless. I chose not to eat the ma/cheese, but the greens were fantastic.

Bomb food...just tried damn near everything. Wings great just ask them to toss them more so the sauce will stick, cabbage! Curry chicken with rice! The beef curry was a little tough. Great!

I came here for lunch with a friend yesterday. I was impressed with the diverse menu. This place offers more than just rotisserie Peruvian-style chicken. My friend opted for the chicken gyro with a side of cabbage and mac n' cheese. I chose to get a rotisserie chicken breast with a side of string beans and fried yucca. We were both very happy with our selections. I am a big fan of rotisserie chicken and yucca fries. There are two types of sauces with the chicken: a spicy and hot green sauce (possibly green chili) and a milder white sauce. Of course the green sauce is my favorite; it is not for the faint of heart (or tongue). The white sauce tastes like liquefied mayonnaise. It is not very good in my opinion. The sides: cabbage, mac n' cheese, and yucca fries were all very good. The mac n' cheese had a tangy taste, and it may have been made with several cheeses. If you like curry, you will be able to find plenty of it here as well. They have chicken, lamb, and beef curries. This is an interesting place, and I would be happy to return and try other things from the menu.

Good cheap eats. Loved my rotisserie chicken combo...indian sides. The roll was the only ing that left more to be desired...it sucked. That should have been a piece of naan. Oh well...solid lunch. I'd go again.

Pretty good soul food spot* If you don't mind fried or greasy rotisserie chicken, then you may like this place. In addition to this, they sale wraps, gyros, salads, curry dishes, kabobs, seafood, burgers, and wings. Their sides are pretty good to: collard greens, green beans, cornbread, rice, yucca, plantain, mac & cheese, cole slaw, mash potatoes, corn etc. Like I said, nice humble little spot to try the next time you decide to eat out. * This has nothing to do with the food, but a funny story none the less: So, I'm here last Friday trying to figure out what I'm going to order and this older guy in front of me orders some of the rotisserie chicken with some collard greens. He gets all the way to the register and when the girl behind the counter is ringing him up, he decides to ask: "Oh, do these chicken and greens have salt on them? Do you season them?". I'm standing there thinking "Are you f*cking kidding me? You come to Chicken Hut asking if they season their ROTISSERIE chicken with salt? WTF do you think, man?". The girl tells him they do and he apologetically asks her to take the food back and he'll order something else, saying "I'm sorry, my brother told me you guys didn't season it like that (or something)". Really? And you walked in here smelling the same chicken I did and still thought so? Just when I didn't think things could get any more ignorant, this guy's wife walks in from the Ledo's next store with a big ass box of pizza in her hands!!! At this point, I'm standing there hoping my face isn't thinking out loud for me and that this guy hurries the hell up and finally decide to take his ass to Subway so I can finally order! I swear, my people some times...
