Unprofessionalism at its worst. Let me start off by saying the food here was great and is not at all associated with the bad review I'm giving this IHOP. Its the uncomfortable environment that its employees have made for customers like myself is reason why I give this restaurant one star. Somewhere between last Christmas and the new year, my girlfriend and I were having brunch at this particular location. It all starts with some guy that works there flipping out and cursing up a storm about how its time for him to go home and how he hates working there. Another waitress notices the funny looks we're giving the guy and she tells him that he's drawing negative attention from the customers. He at first seems apologetic to anyone that was listening to his rant but then goes to say that we all needed to mind our own F*ing business! Then shortly after, almost all (if not all) the waiters and people from the kitchen start to go on similar public rants about when they are supposed to be scheduled to work and how they hate their jobs. You would think the managers would come and privately deal with the situation...instead he publicly begins arguing with the workers in front of everyone. It was very hard for my girlfriend and I to ignore everything going on because we were sitting right in front of the kitchen with our food, where all the chaos was ensuing! I love IHOP but I'm never going to this location again and advise anyone who wants a peaceful environment to eat in not to go as well. A place full of disgruntled workers isn't safe for anyone and in this case, especially for the customer!

Met someone here for breakfast. Service was slow and food was barely warm. I agree with the other reviews, but it is IHOP and in Prince Georges County. It's what you expect it to be.

I was on a first date with a female friend. We walked into the IHOP around 9/9:30 PM. Once arriving, we stood at the front podium to be seated, as the sign instructed. No one ever came to seat us. We stood there for about 10 minutes. There was a gentleman servicing a takeout order, but when he was done, he did not acknowledge us and we were right in front of him. There were also at least two other employees who saw us and did not even say "someone will be with you shortly" or anything of that nature. One guy walked right up to us and did not say a word as we stood, and he turned and conversed with his co-worker. My female friend and I were both standing there in angst and by this point, I refused to eat there and left. As we left, the two gentlemen at the front did not even bother to ask us to come back or anything. This experience was one of the most pathetic customer service experiences I have ever experienced and I will tell anyone who mentions this Clinton location to stay as far away as possible. This is the first time I have ever written a formal complaint to a company.

IHOP has been around since the late '50s and offers items such as pancakes, waffles, crepes, omelettes, combo plates, egg platters, salads, soups, appetizers, sandwiches, burgers, and even entrees (such as Italian Chicken Pasta). I usually get their Patty Melt (at first, I thought they got rid of it, but it's in the burger section; it just doesn't have a picture next to it!), which comes on a buttered-up seeded rye bread with melted cheese, a hamburger patty, and sauteed onions; I opt for their seasoned fries (which could have been a bit more piping hot and bit more crispier). The Patty Melt was pretty tasty! My friend had her scrambled eggs, turkey sausage, and a 3-stack buttermilk pancakes, all cooked-to-order and came out fresh. Our server, Ms. Tanika, was oh-so-sweet and quite attentive, and made sure that everything was awesome. This particular IHOP is literally one of the cleanest IHOPs I've been to and had a great warm vibe to it! So, if anyone suggests IHOP, this will be the location :D +Patty Melt +ask for fresh fries +ask for Ms. Tanika :D +warm vibe and the cleanest IHOP +plenty of parking +located across from Ruby Tuesday

What was once a favorite IHOP has deteriorated greatly over the last 2 years. Previous visits had less than stellar service, but the food was acceptable. On my last visit, one person's dish came out long before the others; it was incomplete (no meat). The 2d order looked right, but soon found that the pancakes were undercooked (make that totally wet in the center). Next came a phantom dish that no one ordered. Finally, the 3d order arrived, and yep, that was wrong, too -- it was missing sausage and a single pancake! Wait, it gets worse.....a stack of 3 pancakes was delivered literally in less than a minute with a pat of butter that NEVER melted (I kid you not). Finally, the check arrives with a $9 charge for a dish no one recognized, as well as a child's order for something. We all had ordered from the seniors' menu! On a positive note, the wait staff was friendly and apologetic, although not well trained. Also, the restaurant is a convenient meeting place for folks from various locations. However, the negatives now outweigh the positives at this location -- inconsistent food, shortage of waiters and cooks, and slow service. I'm glad there's so many other IHOPs to choose from.

There were only about 5 people in the restaurant yet it took us about 30 minutes to get our food. Well, lets just be patient. The wait will surely be worth at least hot food. I ordered the steak tip dinner and my pancakes cakes came 10 minutes before my cold food... we just kept having to wait wait wait for everything.... i ended up taking my cold food home to heat in the microwave... I am not sure why pre-packaged food is prepared so poorly. I-hops shouldn't be hit or miss.

Husband had a taste for Ihop pancakes so off we went. I signed up for the "Pancake Revolution online and got a free Rooty Tooty stack of pancakes. I showed our waiter the coupon before we ordered. He took it to show his Mgr. We received the bill and the pancakes were charged. The waiter was told of the error and he immediately took it off. We noticed the table display had some type of sauce or syrup on it and so did the sign on the tray of syrups in our booth. Actually the sign on the syrup display had a thick sludge of syrup I'm guessing. It was disgusting and should have been cleaned..

Ordered a Colorado with blueberry pancakes and the order was horrible. Whip cream on my pancakes was water/white fluid and I almost mistaken it for mold. I ordered for my co worker the international crepes and they came with 2 strawberries and runny liquid. Terrible experience. I don't say ghetto often, how else would you describe the unprofessionalism and horrible service.

I went to this Ihop location today and was very pleased with the service based on the negative reviews. We usually get carry out and the food is always good. We decided to dine in based on it being slow inside. Our waitress Janice was friendly and professional and very prompt with our order. We didn't have to wait to be seated and Janice was exceptional with all of our needs during our visit. The food came out perfect and delicious. Thank you Janice for such a wonderful experience!

I'm not understanding the bad reviews maybe they went on a day that the manager was not there but every time we go there is a dark complected lady who is a manager with an accent and she is awesome she make sure the placement quickly and efficiently the tables are always clean and the service is even better I have no complaints about this place unfortunately we moved and had to find another IHOP but we prefer this one to the one that was closest to the one we are living at

Its your middle of the road typical IHOP. You walk in, it smells a little funny. The coffee is hot, there is plenty of syrup, and you dont expect anything spectacular. This trip though, I was a little disappointed in their staple....Pancakes.....I got the red velvet.....They looked more like purple dics! There wasnt a ton of topping, and I didnt taste the traditional cream cheese-like topping. All I got was liquid sugar. Omlette delivered pretty solidly. Again, not expecting them to re-invent the wheel or anything! The service was good, we had 9 ppl and everyone got their food on the first try correctly.....Thats a huge plus!!!

We were served immediately with friendly service and a smile. I want to commend Catherine for the outstanding service she provided. Not only was she friendly and polite, she was upbeat, and accommodating. She made sure our orders were served just the way we wanted.

Why is everything in Clinton not very good? I went there with my sister since its close to Southern MD hospital. The service was pathetic. Slow. It took 10 minutes to have someone come to the table just to take drink orders. When I asked for salsa, the server was like, whatever. I never received any. My sister said the server had no idea what I was talking about.

Service is sssllloooowwww. We began with 1 server, who then went to another set of tables, only to return to us. Folks seated after us served before us. Lack of communication, management, attention to detail. NEVER AGAIN...

Anytime that i went to this ihop i haven't really received a great service and it's not very professional. Won't forget the time that me and my family were rushed out because our waiter was late picking up his child . Not to be mean, but how is this our problem? We came here to hang out and eat. Every five minutes he was subtely asking us when we were done. There's not another waiter there who could take his place when he left? The food itself is not that good honestly. I think they do something different here than at other IHOPS. I would not recommend this restaurant.
