I had an event at Highpoint Farm last week. They did an amazing job. Planning the event was so easy. Everyone I spoke with was so helpful. I asked for several quotes and changes and they would always get back to me in a timely fashion. The event was a picnic for families in a group. Probably 200+ people. (But I believe they plan all sizes of events). The food was delicious. (We had them cater a previous event and the food was delicious so we looked into the farm for future events.) They offer so much as far as entertainment goes. We had a clown, face painters, field games, arts and crafts, a hayride, and a rock climbing wall and zip line. Everyone had a great time and raved about how wonderful the entertainment and food were and how energetic and friendly the people were. Thank you Highpoint for an amazing event. We'll definitely be booking future events with you.

Jocelyn treated Dan and I like royalty! Every time we so much as looked around, she was there, providing horseradish sauce, bustling my dress, and delivering coffee or apple cider (even before she released it to the rest of the guests) :) Beforehand, she gave suggestions based on her experience that added to our day! She even used my family recipes for crab cakes and mac & cheese. She was always willing to work with us to stay in budget, but get the most value for our dollar.

I am not great at wedding planning. I'm not really into details and tend to just wing it... not the best approach when you're hosting 200 people at a venue that is a bit complicated to navigate. I can say without equivocation, that our wedding was so fantastic, seamless and perfect mostly because of High Point. From the very beginning conversation when Geoff pointed out a bunch of things to look out for and gave really great advice and opinions, to the day of the wedding when Jocelyn brought us a plate of our appetizers, warned me very discreetly when things weren't going according to the timeline, and made sure the drunk groomsmen left the wedding with their wallets (no small feat). I really got the feeling that she cared about making everything how we wanted it, not pushing her ideas on us, but was always willing to give an honest opinion when asked. These people know what they are doing and they do it so well and without the pretension that you get from a lot of companies around DC. We had so many compliments about our food - Get the mac and cheese, it's always a crowd pleaser! We also used them to do our rentals, we might have been able to save a little bit of money doing it another way, but it was so worth it to use them because they really took care of everything. I didn't need a wedding planner and I'm so glad Geoff encouraged me not to get one. I didn't once worry about a thing because I knew High Point had it covered. I would recommend them to anyone.

My cousin's carnival style wedding reception this past weekend. It's a perfect place to have an outdoor wedding. The event was organized and staff were friendly. There was a large wooden pavilion where they had a dj and dance floor, few tables, and table with buffet style American food. Next to the pavilion was a large white tent with more tables and chairs. Behind this tent was an area of flat land in which we had corn hole games set up. Beyond the area, there was a campfire in which we toasted marshmallows and made s'mores. Behind the pavilion and white tent, there were portable bathrooms - men, women, and handicap.
