This is a solid place for a night out. Nothing spectacular, but decent basic American food. I had a BBQ burger with chips, and the only complaint I had was that the chips needed salt. My husband seemed happy with his Ahi tuna, but he did mention it was a little overcooked. We went on the night of their Halloween party, and it was what you'd expect... loud music, underdressed women, and a few people who were well past tipsy. The server was fantastic even though the place was packed. The bathroom was pretty clean for a bar. Parking can be an issue on a busy night, so arrive early if you're going for an event.

The food is just mediocre, or as I call it "boring". Some appetizers have that freezer quality to them, especially the spring rolls. The prices are fairly decent though. For 2 of us with 2 appetizers, a chicken cheese steak (not good) and a crabby chicken salad and 4 beers was only $40.00. They do have beer drink specials, which is a big plus. $2 Natty Boh's during baseball games. Hopefully my girlfriend is over this place so we don't have to come back for food, I'd come back to drink my face off though.

Not near a river at least that I could see but Speedy service, chill atmosphere. Food is average but the drinks are great. Go for happy hour! Great prices. $3.50 margaritas.

Went for dinner Fourth of July weekend. They don't have steamed crabs which was a bummer... But, they do have delicious steamed shrimp. I wasn't very impressed by their menu. While there were quite a few things there nothing really jumped out. It's a pretty standard eastern Maryland bar. The service was great though! I also hear its a great place to watch sports, which I don't, but at least it's an option!

this place is a hidden gem! - great place for lunch or dinner... very local feel.. full of locals... gets busy on the weekend... mediocre happy hour specials ... nice beer selection..okay wine list... food menu makes up for it all.... I've been several times after work for drinks and dinner and everyone I'm with... always raves about their entree.... very simple patio .... and attentive wait staff this place has versatility -- half bar scene - perfect for catching a game .. half sit down dining room .. perfect for family friendly dinner

Good, not great food. Locals seem to really like the bar and tolerate the average food. No river or view of one as far as I could tell. Nice waitress. Not one vegetarian dish, other than a garden salad, which left my daughter hungry.

Mr. Logical, my mother-in-law, and I headed here for lunch when we needed a break from house renovations. We all greatly enjoyed our lunches, and FIL enjoyed the hamburger we brought back for him. I had the Smokey's Choice sandwich, which was huge and delicious. So were the homemade chips that came with it. MIL had the soup and sandwich special, which was also huge. Mr. Logical ordered fries with his sandwich, only because of the presence of malt vinegar on the table, and enjoyed them as well. Definitely will be a favorite spot once we move to Centreville.

Good price on food, large menu, fun place to watch the Ravens Play

Great local place to have dinner or lunch. They support the local American Legion and the Wounded Warriors Program. In my book just for their community involvement they get an A+, however, since I am rating them ... it is important to note that the food is good, the beer is cold and the staff are friendly.

Very nice place. Good food and great service. I went for my wife Bday and they even gave us a complimentary chocolate cake with ice cream with a candle. nice touch guys. I'll be back soon. thanks for everything.

Docs is a nice go-to for a family lunch or dinner. The food is above average, and the menu is fairly deep. Bar side is lively but loud, while dining room side is quiet but bland. Friday and Saturday happy hour and dinner parking is very hard to come by. Also, you pay for the quality, as Docs is a bit expensive for its modest atmosphere. An order of wings is $10, and a call Margarita is $9, for example. And don't expect a major wine list. Beer is a better choice, with much better options. Nice outdoor patio during warm months.

We stumbled on this place for lunch after attending a local horse show. It has all the typical favourites of any grill and puts a bay themed spin on a lot of dishes (read: old bay on anything) - it's a good thing I love old bay. We only visited the dining room which was small, but not over crowded. The service was spectacular and the food was great. The only reason I didn't put the last star was that even though they had a kids section on the menu, they didn't particularly cater to kids with coloring paper and crayons although they did have plastic kids cups. I have been back to the restaurant since the first time and was equally happy.

Good bar food - chips are house made and very tasty. Sandwiches are decent. Good beer selection, and a clean fun environment. They usually have lunch specials that include a soup and sandwich. They make a good crab cake and crab dip. Good solid local bar.

I really love this restaurant I have been there several times. I had the pork barbecue quesadilla once and shrimp and chicken Caesar wrap. The service was friendly fast and I loved eating on the outside patio. Would recommend!

Great Place that not many know about. Rockfish Tenders are awesome! Never had a bad meal or service. We go as often as we can.

Doc's is awesome! Love the servers, bartenders, and grub. Me and my family go at least twice a week.

Poor-overpriced/ Cheesesteak soggy with little meat wrapped in foil yuck- potato chips stale -not enough air flow outside McDonald's would be vast improvement

My boyfriend's family lives around Doc's and we go here ALL the time. But not because the food is amazing, just because it's convenient. The food is good, nothing spectacular. I've tried a few items such as: the cold plate platter, made up of awesome chicken salad, too fishy shrimp salad (possibly made from frozen shrimp), a bunch of packaged crackers, and fruit from a can (didn't touch this). The nacho appetizer, made up of chili, jalapenos, tomatoes, cheese, and lettuce with salsa and sour cream on the side, nothing special about these but I would like to try the chicken instead of chili next time! the spinach salad without bacon/bacon dressing- which was pretty plain and consisted of spinach, red onion, and mushrooms, I could've passed on this salad and enjoyed a platter of fries instead.. hah! there goes my diet. Pros: $3 margaritas during happy hour, $4 margaritas when it's not happy hour -fried rockfish, the french fries & onion rings, and their chili -great service, the waitresses are attentive and friendly (+!!) -fried oysters are good. -stuffed mushrooms are a hit or a miss, consists of 4-5 mushrooms stuffed with crab meat. I received different opinions about this appetizer though -house made chips are yummy! I like the seasoning on them and they're kettle cooked. -corn bread (if you ask for it) comes out warm and with butter. I love cornbread. -Caesar salad is good, but get the dressing on the side because it tends to be heavy Cons: -Avoid the tuna BLT/tuna on salad if you want it cooked a certain way. It's always cooked more than how you want it. -the upcharge for fries (worth the $2 though) and toppings for your burgers are .75 each. -a cup of soup is $6....whether it's Italian wedding or Maryland crab...

Doc's Riverside Grill was an oasis for us on a recent Eastern Shore road trip. Driving on a hot Sunday afternoon we found nothing of substance (or really, nothing open) in Chesapeak City or Chestertown and were parched for some good beer by the time we reached Centreville. We never would have find the place were it not for Yelp - thanks, Yelpers. Docs doesn't appear to be beside a river - it's outdoor dining area is a walled-in patio. It's nothing fancy, but it has a GREAT beer full of microbrews list and some tasty appetizers (we had the homemade chips, covered in sauce with bacon - healthy it ain't).

Most of the time the food and service are fine so I guess I shouldn't complain however this one experience had my food completely forgotten not once but twice. Asked about it the first time (after everyone else at the table got their appetizers and meals) and was told it was coming right up, waited about 20 minutes (it was just a nacho appetizer) and asked again. Server said they just checked and it was being processed and should be up soon. Excuse was that it was confusing in the kitchen due to a large party, however the rest of the group had no issues getting their meal so I guess It was not that confusing. Now, to be honest, this was the first really bad experience I have had so I shouldn't be too negative. I will probably still continue to go there on occasion since it is normally ok and there are not really many other choices for this type of restaurant locally.

Docs is very much a local hangout. They have managed to master what so many restaurants on the shore have not - consistency. There are no water views from the restaurant as the Corsica River is about two blocks away. Some may like the food, some may not but it is usually very consistent and competent fair. It is not the Inn at Perry Cabin or the Four Seasons it is a casual American fare restaurant that knows their clientele and caters to them. They have regular specials through the week including a wing night and a burger night. Yes the drinks can be on the spendy side but again they are consistent and competent. Docs is easily.the most popular restaurant in Centreville largely because they are able to maintain a consistent standard of fare and service. The owners are also very active in the local community and do a lot of work for local charities. Docs is definitely worth a try and is a go to place for me when I really don't want to cook. Do not miss Adele's spring rolls - they are made by a local woman and are fantastic. They feature homemade chips with sandwiches and the tropical shrimp cocktail is a favorite of mine as well. Docs is well worth a visit and it is important for county residents to support a local business that does so much for our community.

Local watering hole with consistent service. Food is what you expect; typical American bar grub. I don't think you can walk out of the place without a thousand calories under your belt. That being said, my family and I come once a month to eat. Very causal, very sports orientated.

Great place.. Nice staff. Good portions. They even gave us to go cups for our teas. Fair prices... Plenty of Tv's to watch.....

I just don't find this place special. Average food for above average prices. I think the draw of so many people has been the lack of places to eat in the Centreville area. However, I think now that the economy is getting better and new places are opening back up that this location will be less attractive to the locals. It does have probably the biggest bar in Centreville which will always be an attraction for some, but the food really is not worth it to me.
