Very good service, good food, good selection of food, above average selection of beer. Jumbo lump crab cakes contained very few lumps of crab and a lot of filler. Kids chicken nuggets were above average. Nothing special enough to make me go out of my way to eat there again.

We were just driving through Cambridge and needed to eat. We had our dog with us and saw some outside seating. That's how we discovered Ocean Odyssey. Our dog loved the patio and we loved the food. The crab cakes were perfect. We loved the cabbage and bacon. Their pickled beets were pickled perfectly with just the right amount of cloves. If we lived here we would become regulars Oh and they have a great craft beer selection

Steamed crabs were good--though the "new" Old Bay doesn't taste right to me; when I was a college kid, it was pepper and more red pepper. Now, it's salty. I understand it's changed over the years. But the crabs were sweet and delicious. We had corn, Maryland Crab Soup (made fresh) and shared a dozen oysters on the half shell which were also delicious. The kids enjoyed either crab or chicken fingers. The chicken nugget/finger was tasty (swapped a corn for a nugget from one kid.) Lemonade came with plenty of refills. Happy service. I enjoyed it.

Fish tacos were delish! Cream of crab soup was good but I've had better-it was a tad gelatinous and needed some old bay. Mimosa was weak. Great service and better than expected based on their signage and location.

Excellently diverse menu, revolving around fresh crab. Affordable also. Great local beer selection and two gluten free drink options. Friendly and knowledgeable staff. Great road accessibility also.

Our family stopped here for lunch while visiting Cambridge. The restaurant was fairly empty when we entered and our waitress' first words when we asked how she was doing were, "Very stressed!" Um, ok? Service went downhill from there. She took forever to take our order and didn't know much about the menu. At some point (around 30 minutes after ordering) I asked the waitress how long it would take, since at least 4 other tables had received their meals despite being seated after us, and she looked at me blank-faced, "I don't know." So I asked if she could look into it which she agreed to do. However, she never came back! I then asked the woman at the front counter if SHE could check since our waitress couldn't be bothered. Our waitress finally delivered the food, nearly throwing it down in front of me. I legitimately asked her if something was wrong and she said no. Now, I know this is harsh. BUT, on the PLUS side: the owner/manager Laura came by shortly thereafter clearly having been told about our experience. She was very pleasant & apologetic and offered to make it right (which she did.) On to the food: hush puppies, fish tacos and the Big Seafood sandwich (or whatever it's called) were very tasty. We didn't get to try the extensive craft beer menu but it looked great. Really poor service, maybe it was an off-day or a new waitress. But a friendly owner and good kitchen.

Really great find en route back to DC from Ocean City. I knew there had to be something good in Cambridge and this is it. Tons of craft beers, good seafood - I definitely recommend the Bay on a Bun - and a relaxing but still smart looking place.

Hubby wanted soft shell crab, and he got it off the brunch menu on a huge BLT. He grinned the entire time he was eating it. The fries were good too. I had blackened blue catfish which was good. Skip the cabbage & bacon side unless you like caraway.

It's simply not very good. I guess most people's taste buds are defective. Anyone give this place more then 3 stars needs to learn what food taste like. Fair warning good luck!

We had heard good things about Ocean Odyssey and thought we'd give it a try. We went for lunch on a weekend past normal lunch hours. There were several tables available but each needed to be bussed. It took over 15 minutes to get one cleared. Then it took 10 to 15 to get a waitress to take our drink order. From start to finish with no dessert it almost took 2 hours. Food was alright but nothing that would make me come back. You can get similar and better food in town with a better view or vibe, and same or less price than this highway side joint. We also thought it was at least 25 percent overpriced for what it was.

Amazing turkey sandwich and steamed crabs! Fresh food! Highly recommend this spot in Cambridge.

We had a work event here last night. We picked crabs, ate oysters, and drank all night. The food, beer selection, service and ambiance were amazing. I would recommend this place to anybody.

What a joke. First we wanted to eat at the tables outside. They can't serve outside because "that's they way we do things" according to the hostess. But we can order our food and take it outside so we are seated and order our lunch. 45 minutes later (we were the only family in the place) the waitress sets up her tray stand and we tell her well that we'll carry our plates outside. "Let me check on that." She comes back to tell us she'll have to package it to go. So we agreed and waited another 10 minutes (I thought the food was ready). When the food finally came out, only 4 of the 5 orders came out. I reminded the waitress that one item was missing. She went to the kitchen then came back saying, "it will be right out". So I ask to pay the check and my wife notices that two of the orders are incorrect. The waitress was clueless so we just placed all of the food, untouched, on the cashier counter and told them not to bother. I cant comment on the quality of the food but the service was deplorable.

Amazing food and great service. "Bay on a bun" was delicious. So were the crabs. The waitress was very patient and beautiful decor inside. Great experience.

Wow is the first word that comes to mind after going there. That is the best seafood i have had ever. The seafood there is caught fresh everyday thats why the fish isn't the same every time you go there. First the apps we got 12 crab tots for 6 people it was really good. They were nice and golden brown. The meat inside was very tender. Then we ate fresh Maryland blue crab. It had just been got that day like all the food there. It was hard but worth it because how fresh and tender it was. You were able to dip it in apple cider vinegar and an amazing seasoning. For the main course i got fresh Mahi tacos which had great flavor. The fish was very tender and cooked to perfection. The sauce inside with the onions lettuce and i think maybe i tasted some pico de gallo. The wait was not very long and the service was great i also had a great root beer to drink. I ran into a similar thing as to specific gravity were they didn't have Dr. Pepper and Mt. Dew but the root beer was better than a lot of brands. It was a great place and i would go back. I would also recommend giving it a try if you want really good seafood because of how fresh it is.

Cute place with great mural on the outside wall. Unfortunately we couldn't eat that. My fish in my fish and chips were huge portions but too big to cool properly. They were too greasy and almost not completely done. The fries were cold. My daughter had one of the fish sandwiches with the blue crab on it. She said it was ok. My grand-daughter's fish sandwich was more grease than fish. We threw away the other half. Disappointing first meal in our visit to Cambridge.

Stopped in for a Sunday Brunch. Was a little concerned because the parking lot was empty. They open for business at 10am on Sundays and we arrived 10:05am. Their were four people in our party. All of us enjoyed our food, the service was excellent and the place was very clean. This is well worth the stop heading home from the Beach. I recommend the Jumbo Lump Crap Omelette with a side of pancakes.
(5)Amy O.
Came in for Sunday brunch. The menu was limited, and they were out of a lot, but it's a holiday weekend, so they're forgiven. The holy grail oysters were little bites of salty heaven. The "bubbafeller" oysters were pretty good too. Loaded with bacon. Yum. Cajun calamari serving was really (read: really) small, but otherwise delicious. Service was just terrible. She tried, but messed up a lot. So, good food traded off for bad service.

Great place for steamed seafood and steamed vegetables. Yup, you heard that right. They pamper their steamed crabs in Old Bay, they serve scrumptiously succulent steamed shrimp, and they have very fresh steamed broccoli and corn on the cob. They're also procuring quite a great beer selection, so I would recommend a flight or two with dinner.

I took a chance on this place with friends, we were in the main downtown and sort of ventured to the main highway and decided to give it a go after not getting crab down in the necks (ran out of bait). Ok well that's not true but anyway... It really does look any other ordinary place you see of a major highway from a good sized town. This is a great crab option and they were very well priced, plentiful, and more importantly they even had Extra Jumbo which I rarely ever see. The beer selection here though is what REALLY stands out, the person who set this up is a true beer geek with lots of variety instead of your run of the mill fizzy yellow stuff. Service is a bit clunky, but warming and friendly, most of the servers are very young it seems, but they are real nice. It's a great option to have this place and know about it if in the area.

My fiancé and I stopped for lunch after an unsatisfying seafood meal in ocean city last night (see my review of Shenanigans). The exterior is welcoming, and when walking in we were greeted with a smile, and welcomed to sit wherever we liked. I ordered a Pepsi he ordered a unsweet tea, and looked over the menu, it was a bitt on the pricey side for lunch but fairly priced for the portions we were served. I decided to get a light lunch, a bowl of the Maryland Crab soup and a ear of local sweet corn. He ordered the jumbo lump crabcake sandwich with fries. We did not have to wait very long for it to be served our waitress Shannon was friendly and personable. My soup was the perfect temperature, a great lunch portion, and chock full of a wide variety of fresh veggies. There was not a TON of crab but there was enough and it had plenty of crab flavor. The corn was perfectly cooked and sweet, no butter needed. His crabcake was golden brown the roll was fresh and nicely toasted, the tomato slice thick and flavorful. The cake itself had the tiniest amount of filler, just barely enough to hold it together. It was perfectly sized, and perfectly cooked. His fries were great when hot, but he was disappointed that they had no BBQ sauce that he could dip them in. Late in our meal he decided to try the beer sampler, a great deal so you don't get stuck with a huge beer of something you don't like. It was a great selection of craft beers. Would definitely return!

This was a great place that we stumbled upon. We actually showed up minutes after they closed, but they ushered us in and were very welcoming and did not rush us at all even though we were late. My husband ordered the fried shrimp and said it was the best he has had! I had the crab cakes and loved them. Definitely a great place for good food while in Cambridge.

Stopped on our way to Assateague tonight (Friday). Slow service and they weren't even packed. Somehow the table next to us who arrived later got their food first. My husband was pretty hungry, but the fish and chips entree ended up being appetizer size. Wings were OK. I liked the island lime better than buffalo. Fries were on the soggy side with the inside not fully cooked. Meh.
(2)Janice C.
This was by far the best food we had in Cambridge while we were there for the long weekend. The cream of crab soup, the crab cake, the steamed crabs - heck even the side dishes of mac and cheese and applesauce were amazing. The service was decent, nothing to write home about, but that was what we experienced in Cambridge - lesser service than we are accustomed to at home. We will definitely go back here.

Best Bison burger on the planet! Is on my top 3 places to eat lunch. Great beer selection, organic root beer , soups are fantastic and the staff is always on point

My boyfriend and I were on our way to VA and stopped here for a late lunch on a Sunday. It seemed like an oasis in a long line of fast food and chain restaurants on the main drag. We didn't know what to expect but it was great! We split the crab dip, crab cake sandwich, and turkey ruben with fries and potato salad. Crab dip was not the best I've had, but was definitely good. The crab cake was fresh, meaty and delicious, and the turkey was awesome (brined and cooked in house, cut in a thick hunk and served on really good (homemade? bread). And the fries and potato salad were great too. They also had a great selection of craft beers. I recommend getting the sampler! Everyone was super friendly. Our waitress (Melissa?) was sweet, attentive and efficient.

After hearing people rave about OO's Cream of Crab soup, I finally decided to order it. Cream of Crab soup is one of those things, like your mother's meatloaf or nanna's lasagna, when you've found one you love, you don't bother trying another because it's almost never as good as the original. OO is another example of this. I have tried it on 3 different occasions now after cult followers of the soup assured me that I must have sample the dish on an "off day." On all 3 occasions I was equally disappointed. Out of those 3, only 2 served what I would even consider edible soup. All tasted as though they used onion powder and garlic powder as opposed to the real thing leaving an almost metallic taste in my mouth. And there was little, if any, lump crab meat to speak of. The loose, watery consistency of the soup was also less than desirable. Perhaps the locals haven't ventured out to discover what truly good Cream of Crab soup is? As a chef and not just a foodie, I can assure you that this is not quality Cream of Crab soup...

Best food we've had in Cambridge (to include the resort).great crabs and seafood. Best fish and chips I've had ( to include Ireland, Scotland, England, and Cathal Armstrong's place in Old Town). Great beer list of small and large craft brewers. Only place worth stopping on your wAy to shore

When we walked in (party of 5), I really liked the charm of the place. I was thinking good....typcial crab shack with decent prices and cold beer. We ordered 2 dozen jumbos and while we waited had a couple of appetizers. When the crabs arrived, we were disappointed becasue 1) they don't steam the crabs with the spice but rather add the spice after they are steamed. It makes a big difference. 2) Jumbo crabs? Really? More like mediums (maybe that's why they gave us more than 2 dozen). and most important 3) they were mushy, as if they were reheated leftovers. Had to send some back for replacements. I've tasted a lot of steamed crabs in my time, so hence my disappointment after a great day out on the water. So disappointed becasue I liked the place and the waitress. Bummer. Won't go back there for crabs anyway.

Went for lunch not crowded. Portions were very small and food was NOT good. Crab dip did not have much crab and was served in small bowl. Crab tots were decent nothing to rave about. The crab cakes were just ok. The best option was the fish and chips and the corn puffs. Service was slow although there was not a crowd. The food came out quick and some items were a little greasy. Will not return.

Local seafood, particularly crabs. We had the "bay on a bun" and rockfish and steamed shrimp - everything was very good. Son had a good quesadilla. Good service!
(4)Holly P.
Great atmosphere, excellent service, diverse seafood menu with kids plates available, really good local beer and wine list featuring wines from family owned wineries. Also, all their crab is U.S. caught real crab. Easy to find right off highway 50. Highly recommend this place!

Terrible Customer Service and Mediocre Food!! My family waited one hour and twenty minutes. Keep in mind we had a small child with us. There was no where to wait with a child. We went specifically for steamed crabs on a local's recommendation. When we sat down finally to order I ordered drinks, apps, salad and a meal for my daughter. My husband ordered the steamed crabs. This is where the drama starts. The young and very sweet waitress told my husband he couldn't have the crabs because we didn't tell them at the front we were having crab and it was too late. Perplexed I asked why would we tell the front desk what we were having to eat when we hadn't even been given a menu???? She (the waitress) politely stated this was their policy. (you could tell she had been instructed to say this) Okay ...we understand and there have to be policies but there was no communication of that policy anywhere .....except for small print in a menu we did not yet receive !!!!! We explained that we waited a really long time and this was not our fault and that we came specifically for the crab. The waitress went in the back and then came out and explained they could make the crabs "To Go". I asked what the difference would be eating them in the restaurant or taking them....wouldn't that be the same amount of work? The manager then told us that it would take to long for us to eat them there. Really... You can predict how much time we need to eat ??? So we could only have them to go . ( keep in mind we are staying at a resort). THEY WERE MORE CONCERNED WITH GETTING DONE FOR THE NIGHT than THEIR CUSTOMER WHO WAITED FOR AN HOUR AND A HALF TO EAT AT THEIR RESTAURANT !!!! Unbelievable. Keep in mind there were several tables seated after us. Shame, shame, shame ! We said we would take them to go and I fed my husband half of everything I ordered. They never brought them to us. I didn't really know where we where going to eat them anyhow ......in the Lexus or in our luxury hotel room while our daughter is sleeping?????? I am sure the hotel staff would appreciate that one. We had to ask for a drink for our little daughter during the long wait which they never even refilled . They never apologized for the wait or the miscommunication ...in fact the waitress was sweet but the manager was blatantly rude and didn't seem to care. On top of it the staff was cleaning the floors around us while we were eating (unsanitary and unprofessional) . We were shocked by the lack of concern for customer service. Very shocked and appalled and for sure will never ever return. They did finally offer us drinks on the house, but I would have rather just been treated with kindness and respect. money is no object for us but poor service and lack of concern are. Do not know what else to say. I have never had experience like this anywhere.

Love this place. Fresh seafood. You can get the traditional dishes and some specialty items. I come here everytime I am in Cambridge. It is only open during the season.
(5)Tim R.
We must have gotten lucky because there were no lines. The seafood was fresh, the preparation was inventive, the food was delicious and the beer selection is great. If I lived in that area, I'd be a regular. Unless I had a young child with me in which case I'd skip any line (stress!) and head to Burger King.
(5)Rodge B.
The best cream of crab soup you will ever have. It's kinda of pricey, but you get a ton of crab meat. They close during the winter, but they're open most of the year.
