It was VERY busy when I was there with my husband, yet we were seated and served promptly which is a huge plus! The food was delicious and was leave enough to have leftovers (yummy!) not to mention very reasonable priced. All the staff was friendly, the restaurant itself was nicely appointed, and in general was a nice dining experience. Can't wait to come back!

After a long drive home, I decided I didn't feel like cooking. My toddler and I are spending the week/weekend alone and I figured we could stay in and order delivery. Tired of pizza and junk food delivery I called Thai Inter to place an order for something different. After minutes of struggling to place my order, The woman informs me they only deliver a minimum purchase of $25.00. Well, it is myself and a two year old. My order was $ 20.00 total and I feel like it was poor customer service to not accommodate. Rather, she tried to convince me to order more food, or to come in for pick up. What they fail to realize us if they had delivered my order, I'd have gladly compensated generously for the customer service. Now, I doubt I'll ever patron this establishment again. Such a shame

One of my staple go to places when we don't feel like cooking at home. This is a great break from all the chains in Lexington park. And they deliver! The language barrier can be a little tough when ordering over the phone but its worth the struggle. The drunken noodle and green curry (pretty spicey!) are my favorites. The Tom yum soup and coconut curry soup are also delicious when I need something a little lighter

Amazing Fried Rice... This is a "must go to" spot at least once a week.. Great price, service, and food... Be careful food might be too spicy for certain taste pallets.

Coconut mango curry was delicious. It wasn't served with enough rice, though. The fried calamari was standard but the dipping sauce was really tasty. My friend had the tom kha gai and it was very Americanized and not spicy enough. He also had the wild curry which was very good. He also reccomend the Thai ice coffee. I would go back but I've definitely had better Thai food in the past.

I have had a good deal of experience with Thai food. I felt the food here was Average. It was not spicy. I think that can be blamed on the ethnicity of the area. The prices are average for a restaurant of this area. The menu quality and feel is that of a discount restaurant.

Accidentally stopped in here for lunch while traveling for work one day. To be honest, I was looking for the Asian Fusion place around the corner and mistook Thai Inter for the other. But, I was seated right away and order Chicken Pad Thai. It came out super fast. Not great looking, to be honest, grayish noodles, some chicken and not enough broccoli. But it tasted pretty good so I can't complain too much. Plus, it was really inexpensive for a big plate of food. Other than bringing me my food, there wasn't much in the way of service. But it was a solid stop for a quick lunch.

Solid Thai food. Something I did not expect to find down in this area... So I'll take it. The Panang curry is actually really good! It's pretty much what I get every time. Other than that I've had the duck and the drunken noodles, both were good not great. Service is very friendly, will definitely go again.

It's a nice place. I really wanted order seafood so I order the Thai inter seafood. However I did not expect all of the fish shrimp are fried I though only the fish was fried, making my trip a little disappointed but it tasted OK. So be careful when u ordered. May try pad Thai next time

I fell in one with this place at first glance. And again at first bite! The food was delicious and the prices are great. I ordered the shrimp Pad Thai and some fried fish cake appetizer. The appetite itself wasn't my favorite as it is just fish ball. I thought it would have something else (other than sauce) but I was wrong. If you like fish cake a pot then these would be perfect. I was indifferent. The Pad Thai was the redeeming factor. Not only it was large enough for 3 people (or 2 of me), but it tasted so good too. There's nothing really else to say but try it out! Added bonus to the experience was complimentary shrimp chips and WiFi! If I ever need to buy lunch and dinner due to staying late at work, I would come back to this place!

GREAT Thai restaurant! They had all the Thai staples like Pad Thai, Panang Curry etc. The menu was full, but not too busy. I had the crispy spring rolls ($3.95) and the Drunken Noodles with chicken ($9.95). The spring rolls were VERY good, not too dense and just done right. The drunken noodles were spiiiiicy!! but that's what I wanted (and the menu did indicate 2 out of a possible 3 chili peppers for spice). The dish was just perfect, full of Thai basil and fresh veggies coupled with perfectly executed wide noodles. My buddy had the Pad Thai that was also very good. They deliver in the area (but no onto the military base) and pickup was quick and accurate.

I struggled giving this place two stars.. I ordered chicken panang curry and shrimp pad Thai. I was disappointed. The panang was watery and thin but had decent flavor nonetheless. The pad Thai was average at best with little flavor and the shrimp were undercooked. Needless to say, I will not be coming back; I'm not sure how this place for good reviews

Hubs and I very much enjoyed our lunch at Thai Inter today. We started with spring rolls; they were perfectly-cooked, crisp, and not greasy at all. We both had the Pork lunch special - healthy portions, enough for a second meal for me. The only negative comment I could possibly give is that the papaya salad was INSANELY spicy - I love spicy, spicy food, and it was too spicy even for me (Hubs ate one bite of his and gave it to me). We'll definitely be back!

Was on a road trip with my boyfriend and stopped by for lunch. The food was great, the place was really clean, fast service and solid food. They have several options available for the $7.95 lunch and standard options include chicken, vegetable, tofu, beef and pork. The spicy dishes were actually very spicy, which was a pleasant surprise. The service there was very attentive, fast and helpful. I was able to get the fried rice meal sans tomatoes with no problem whatsoever. My boyfriend ordered some very spicy curry meal. The curry was more soupy than solid, but it was good. The food came out quickly, hot and fresh. The Thai iced tea was served in a unique large glass, tasted delicious and was actually really filling. We both left the place stuffed. The only hiccup was that someone had a yelling baby in the back of the restaurant for a couple minutes, but then the child was either quieted or moved and all was well. If I lived in the area I would definitely return.

Wonderful food, wonderful service. Their Thai tea is phenomenal! Good prices, and the food comes out quickly, with no reduction in quality. I've only lived here a month, and have eaten here four times - and I have a very sensitive pallet. The only complaints I have or that the building, which was clearly a fast food restaurant at some point, is old looking, and needs to be remodeled. There are televisions in the restaurant, and the seating isn't very intimate. When I go out to eat, I like to feel fancy, and this place lacks that atmosphere. The building needs a quick face lift, at least on the inside. Also, the owner has his/her toddler there. While I understand that childcare is expensive, a screaming toddler in the middle of your meal can really take away from the experience.

Good Thai food with friendly service. Their spring rolls and papaya salad are great starters. We really enjoy their noodle soup lunch specials or the roasted duck noodle soup as an entree. The pad Thai and drunken noodles are also very good. Make sure you ask for the condiment tray so you can spice it up the way you like it. Overall a good place to eat with good food at decent prices.

Cool, rainy night. Lots of work to do in my hotel room. Enter: Thai carryout from Thai Inter. The food was already ready by the time I got there, a mere 10 minutes later, but it was a quiet Monday evening. Score one for Thai Inter! I ordered the Tom Yum Soup and the Crispy Duck with Basil, and planned to eat half and throw the other half in my hotel room fridge for the following night (gotta stretch that per diem, yo). Tom Yum Soup: I ordered it with "seafood". Well, I meant to order it with shrimp, but said seafood. I assumed that meant shrimp, since there was no option on the menu for "seafood", but what I got instead was shrimp, mussel, calamari and scallop in the soup. Tasty, yes...but not what I had expected. Specifically, I didn't expect that $3.00 upcharge on the $3.50 or so soup, without even a confirmation of "seafood? Are you sure you want seafood and not shrimp? It will practically double the price..." That kinda sucked, but oh well. The soup itself was tasty and full of flavor. Perfect for a cool, rainy evening. Crispy Duck with Basil: Really lacked a lot of flavor. The duck itself seemed to be of mediocre quality, as it was a bit tough. The problem was that it just didn't have a lot going on for it. No spiciness for the most part (despite 2 peppers on the menu), and nothing really popped out as being great. The rice was sticky and tasty, so I appreciate that aspect. All in all it was $23 with tax, including the $3 seafood upcharge for the soup. Fair price, I would say, but I would pay a bit more for better food. This was fine Thai food, but really not that great. I would visit again, but there are plenty of other places to try before repeating a so-so Thai restaurant.

The service was great and the food better. I'm planning on going again as soon as I am able. I had the salmon, which is one of the best I had in a long time. The free wifi was a plus Thanx to a fellow yelper that referred this wonderful place. Next I'll try one of the other great places she suggested.

This place is pretty cool. The decor has little to offer, but the food is great and the drinks are very good. My fiance and I usually get either the pad thai, or the crispy duck. They're both very good. The flavors and seasonings are delicious!

It's an odd-looking restaurant. It seems to have once been a drive-through fast food place, and the building has been somewhat awkwardly retrofitted into a sit down restaurant. Muted lights and paintings on the walls belie the covered drive-through window and dated furniture. Their vegetarian options aren't many, but I do give them credit for offering "mock duck" (seitan, presumably). The tofu royale I got was a very basic ginger and onion flavored dish, but pretty tasty. Not a huge portion given the money. The spring rolls I added came out very fast but lukewarm; definitely seemed reheated rather than fresh, though still palatable. I'm not one to harass the service people, but the wait staff here were really abrupt. Asked me if I was ready to order, and then when I said no came back within a minute. Everything came out fast, but brusquely. I might have asked questions about the menu or about the nature of the bowl of crisps I was given at the start, but felt rather unwelcome to do so. I tipped normally, but would a smile be too much to ask for? At the end, the check was rather higher than I would have liked, given all of the above. In line with what I'd have paid for a nice restaurant in a city. I could get two meals for not a whole lot more at neighboring Bollywood Masala (with much better food), or pay significantly less down the road at Peking. I'm a tad disappointed with this place all told, but given that it's Southern Maryland, I'd still rather eat here than at most of the big chains and vegetarian-unfriendly seafood and barbecue restaurants in this area, so I'll generously spot them a three star rating.

BEST RESTAURANT IN THE AREA!! whether you eat at the restaurant or get take out the food is consistently amazing and flavorful. I have yet to try anything I didn't like, or have a bad experience. service is fast and friendly. the restaurant is clean. you won't regret your visit! my only gripe is I run out of food. I never want it to end!

As others said, it is not much from the outside, but it is very much a local favorite mom and pop restaurant. This was a great relief since this town just seems to have chain restaurants (Olive Garden, TGI Fridays, etc.) I ordered the Tom Yum soup which was fantastic. I also ordered the Shrimp Pad Thai. The shrimps were nice and plump, and they didn't skimp. The noodles were done very well. I can't remember having better Thai food outside of Thailand. What also impressed me was how clean everything was. The dishes, dining room (did not try bathroom), and the silverware. As a former culinary sanitation specialist (i.e. dishwasher), this is one of the things I look for when trying a new restaurant to see how well they have their act together. Will definitely go back again!

Going into this, I had to remind myself that I've had probably some of the best Thai food ever (a dear friend of the family is from Thailand, so real, traditional Thai food was always a phone call away) so my bar for Thai food is pretty high. I've driven past this place dozens of times, but I decided to try something new for once. I was blown away, to be honest. The Beef Pad Thai was pretty good. It was missing something, but it was still pretty good. The fresh spring rolls were okay; nothing special about them; iceberg lettuce, carrots, and a piece of shrimp. They needed to be dipped in the peanut sauce for there to be any kind of flavor to them. The fried spring rolls were amazing. They were nice, crunchy, and flavorful, but once again, the spicy sweet and sour sauce was the exclamation point on an already great item. I also ordered the Kwan Krob, or however it's spelled, and those were the only things I didn't like. They were supposed to be stuffed with ground shrimp, chicken, and other vegetables, but it tasted like all I was eating was fried wonton wrappers with nothing in between. Even pulling them apart revealed the smallest amount of filling ever. I chose not to finish them. The Pad Thai was good. As I said above, it was missing something. I think it needed an extra bit of sauce, but it was good. The rice noodles were cooked well, there was a lot of beef, and I had more than enough to eat my fill for dinner and have some for lunch tomorrow. It wasn't the absolute best Thai food I've ever had, but I would eat here again with no issue.

This is the go to Thai joint in town, now that I think of it--I don't think there are any other Thai joints in town... Anywho, this place rocks! The food is great, I usually get the Pad Thai, but anything else I have ordered has never disappointed. The other delight is just how friendly the staff is!

Visited on a Sunday afternoon for lunch and it seemed a little slow. Lunch specials on a Sunday is a nice plus. Service could have been more attentive, but was otherwise okay. Pad Thai was not what I was expecting. Not that great but for an $8 lunch special, I can live with it. I thought the fried rice was much better. Pad See Ew was more in line with my expectations. Free wi-fi is also a nice plus.

The food is respectable and some dishes very authentic, but the spices always seem like they are missing something. The Tom Yum and the Tom Ka soups, while not bad, do not taste like any I have had. The Satay is the same it is good, but missing a little something to make it great. Most of the noodle dishes are good, but the one time I ordered fried rice the rice was gelatinous. The service is pretty hit and miss in my opinion. My last trip I was never asked if I would like another drink or brought any water. Then a waitress just brought my bill without even inquiring if I would like anything else. I reflected this in my tip or lack of one.

Decent prices. Lunch menu for some reason is more expensive than the regular entrees. I had eggplant and chicken. Turned out good. Eggplant was cooked well. Chicken a little tough. Overall food was good and servers was friendly.

Thai is one of my favorite cuisines. When I loved in NYC, I had some of the best Thai food of my life. Thai Inter isn't bad by any means, but my palate belongs to the restaurants back in the city. I really feel that given the location, Thai Inter is great. Too often international restaurants in the middle of nowhere are quite subpar. However, this isn't the case here. Traditional entrees are available and I never had one I didn't enjoy. Prices are good, too.

Thai inter is quite a pleasant surprise. It's pretty amazing to find an ethnic restaurant this far from a metropolitan area with this quality of food. I'm in the middle of a 3 week business trip in Lexington Park and have to say that this is so far the best restaurant I frequented during my trip. The food was overall fantastic. It is however a little pricey for Thai and the Thai ice tea could have been better. Overall, I'd definitely recommend this for those in the Lexington Park area.

First time visit since I live 100 miles away :) Got the papaya salad to start very good and not too much lime juice. Wild Pork for entree and it was very very good not too spicy tender large pieces of pork with veggies and great marinade that I spooned up every last drop. Stand alone building and good tag team service a nice place if I'm ever down in St. Mary's antiquing or gawking at the Amish. :)

My husband and I love ordering delivery from this restaurant. The food comes really fast and is delicious. We were just sad we didn't try it earlier. I've been trying different things on the menu, and have loved everything so far. The wonton soup is to die for! Don't pass it up!

I have only been to Thai Inter for lunch, and I usually order the same thing but why fix something that isn't broke? It is delicious! I usually order the snow peas and shrimp off the lunch menu and it is so yummy. I want to just lick the plate, if that was socially acceptable behavior. My friends and family who have gone here say the same thing about other items on the menu, that it is good. The price is fairly inexpensive, and the service is okay.

Christa H.
The outside of the building is a bit misleading for how it looks inside. It's well-decorated and comfortable and the staff is helpful and friendly. The food doesn't take long to prepare at all, and there have been times when we've gotten "custom orders" because someone wanted something specific. My mom loves their rockfish. I love their calamari (which reminds me of funnel cake, somehow) with its sweet dipping sauce. And of course, their pad thai is delicious. They're fairly inexpensive for the amount of food that you get, and their desserts are simple but delicious. I'm also kind of in love with the milk teas.

Very good food. Fresh and full of flavor. The service was good even though we showed up late at night. I was not a fan of the Thai Tea but other people were at our table.

Been here numerous times and always enjoy it. Pretty fast. Reasonably priced. Nothing really bad to say. Many Thai/Asian choices around town and this one is near the top.

Good spicy Thai food and fruity drinks. Service is quick. I enjoy the tiger cried, duck, and mango curry. Meat on a stick is always good too. Delivery available as well.

This is the go to Thai joint in town, now that I think of it--I don't think there are any other Thai joints in town... Anywho, this place rocks! The food is great, I usually get the Pad Thai, but anything else I have ordered has never disappointed. The other delight is just how friendly the staff is!

Pretty decent Thai food for those days when I'm craving Thai. The staff is friendly and service is fast. They get me seated right away, every time.

Service is quick and the food is a cut above from most.

Love the fact that this place delivers but the food is not fantastic. Great thai ice tea though

Hands down .... one if the best places to eat in SOMD! Great food, fast service, friendly (All Thai) staff, not too expensive.
(5)Vivian N.
My husband and I love ordering delivery from this restaurant. The food comes really fast and is delicious. We were just sad we didn't try it earlier. I've been trying different things on the menu, and have loved everything so far. The wonton soup is to die for! Don't pass it up!

This place has some great food and decent prices. The staff is very friendly as well.

Definitely one of my favorite places to eat lunch in Southern Md. Great food!

Excellent Thai food

not bad, but not good either! Man I am missing Detroit because I LOVE thai food, I am used to having thai places galore, and this is the only option around, the people were nice and the service was good, just not the greatest food I have had.
(3)Laura M.

(5)Li L.
Ate there twice and both times disappointed. Food tasted bland and the ice tea bitter.

Great local restaurant. Nice to have a place for authentic Thai with such a great atmosphere! Only negative is service can be a little slow but it's worth the wait.
(4)Kurt R.
Been here three or four times for lunch. Food and service have been excellent every time. Great selection, good portions and prices are decent ($7.95 for most main dishes).

food was good, service was lousy. had 4 people in our party, 2 people got their entree and the last 2 got their food a half hour later. staff didn't seem to think there was anything wrong with that.
