A nice convenience store and cafe that serves freshly made breakfast, sandwiches and pizza. The omelettes are delicious and served with tasty home fries and toast, just like you would get at a diner. My favorite sandwich is the turkey gyro loaded with lettuce, big slices of tomato and tzatziki sauce. The pizza is better than one might expect. They have a good selection of gourmet potato chips and a variety of beverages, including fresh squeezed lemonade and snowballs in the summertime. Ahmed, the owner is always accommodating and friendly. I like to play the lottery while waiting for my order.

Empire Deli has fresh-made pizza, delicious and impressively-high-quality deli sandwiches, and a convenience store that has a wide array of snacks and household supplies. I got an Italian sub that was on par with Jersey Mike's (definitely better than Subway), and the Mrs. got a cheese and veggie pizza. Both were delicious, and the owner is a nice guy. There appears to be no other food options in a half-hour radius, so this is an especially worthwhile stop if you're visiting Patuxent River State Park or another attraction in this rural neighborhood.

Conveniently located in Sunshine MD. Great coffee, breakfast, sandwiches, and pizza. Stop by and say hello, the owners are really friendly. Great for the neighborhood.

Sunshine only has two stores and a post office. Both stores serve good food and a place to meet the locals. Empire is newer and has more groceries, snacks, drinks, etc. They are not as well known for their sandwiches, which are the typical. Burgers across the street are famous. Empire would have a hard time competing there. They also have fresh made pizza and gyros. The homemade pies are excellent. The owners are friendly and hard workers. Nice addition to the community.

Very good breakfast, nice variety of items for sale as a general store; some sadaf frozen meals and personna razors for sale, which you don't see every day, and some Aldi-brand breads. Proprietor is a real cool guy. He says to look out for many more menu options for lunch, etc. in the next few months.

Aside from the fact that everything on the menu tastes really good, the cheesesteak is to die for. Best recipe I've literally ever had. The store is very convenient too! I went in for fishing gear (live bait and hooks) and ended up enjoying a delicious meal. The owner is very friendly and knows how to run a business! 5 star!!!!
